Ať jsou jedno
1 Když to Ježíš pověděl, zvedl oči k nebi a řekl: „Otče, přišla ta chvíle – oslav svého Syna, aby Syn oslavil tebe. 2 Dal jsi mu právo na všechny lidi, aby všem, které jsi mu svěřil, daroval věčný život. 3 A to je ten věčný život – aby poznali tebe, jediného pravého Boha, a toho, jehož jsi poslal, Ježíše Krista. 4 Zjevil jsem tvou slávu na zemi; dílo, jež jsi mi svěřil, jsem vykonal. 5 Nyní mě, Otče, uveď k sobě do slávy, kterou jsem u tebe měl předtím, než byl svět.
6 Zjevil jsem tvé jméno lidem, které jsi mi dal ze světa. Byli tvoji a dal jsi je mně. Zachovali tvé slovo 7 a nyní poznali, že všechno, co jsi mi dal, pochází od tebe. 8 Slova, jež jsi mi svěřil, jsem předal jim a oni je přijali. Skutečně poznali, že jsem vyšel od tebe, a uvěřili, že jsi mě poslal.
9 Prosím za ně. Neprosím za svět, ale za ty, jež jsi mi dal, neboť jsou tvoji. 10 Všechno mé je tvé a co je tvé, je mé. Má sláva je v nich. 11 Já už nejsem na světě, ale oni jsou na světě a já jdu k tobě. Svatý Otče, zachovej je ve svém jménu, které jsi mi dal, aby byli jedno jako my. 12 Dokud jsem byl s nimi, zachovával jsem je ve tvém jménu, které jsi mi dal. Chránil jsem je a nikdo z nich nezahynul, kromě onoho syna zatracení, aby se naplnilo Písmo. 13 Teď ale jdu k tobě a toto říkám na světě, aby má radost v nich byla dokonalá. 14 Dal jsem jim tvé slovo a svět je začal nenávidět, protože nepatří světu, jako ani já nepatřím světu. 15 Neprosím, abys je vzal ze světa, ale abys je uchránil před zlým. 16 Nepatří světu, jako ani já nepatřím světu. 17 Posvěť je pravdou; tvé slovo je pravda. 18 Jako jsi poslal na svět mě, tak jsem já poslal na svět je. 19 Posvěcuji sám sebe za ně, aby i oni byli posvěceni pravdou.
20 Neprosím ale jen za ně. Prosím i za ty, kteří ve mě uvěří skrze jejich slovo. 21 Ať jsou všichni jedno, jako ty, Otče, ve mně a já v tobě; ať jsou i oni jedno v nás, aby svět věřil, že jsi mě poslal. 22 Dal jsem jim slávu, kterou jsi dal mně, aby byli jedno, jako my jsme jedno. 23 Já v nich a ty ve mně, aby byli dokonale jedno a aby svět poznal, že jsi mě poslal a že jsi je miloval, jako jsi miloval mě.
24 Otče, chci, aby ti, jež jsi mi dal, byli se mnou tam, kde jsem já, aby viděli slávu, kterou jsi mi dal, neboť jsi mě miloval před stvořením světa. 25 Spravedlivý Otče, svět tě nezná, ale já tě znám. Tihle poznali, že jsi mě poslal, 26 a já jsem jim dal poznat tvé jméno a ještě dám, aby láska, kterou jsi mě miloval, byla v nich a já v nich.“

Jesus Prays for the Father to Glorify Him
1 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he looked upwardts to heavent and said, “Father, the timets has come. Glorify your Son, so that yourst Son may glorify you –2 just as you have given him authority over all humanity,t so that he may give eternal life to everyone you have given him.t3 Now thist is eternal lifes – that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ,t whom you sent.4 I glorified you on earth by completingts the work you gave me to do.t
5 And now, Father, glorify me at your sidet with the glory I had with you before the world was created.ts
Jesus Prays for the Disciples
6 “I have revealedt your name to the ment you gave me out of the world. They belonged to you,t and you gave them to me, and they have obeyedt your word.7 Now they understandt that everythingt you have given me comes from you,8 because I have given them the words you have given me. Theyt acceptedt themt and reallyt understandt that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.9 I am prayingt on behalf of them. I am not prayingt on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you have given me, because they belong to you.t10 Everythingt I have belongs to you,t and everything you have belongs to me,t and I have been glorified by them.ts11 It am no longer in the world, butt they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them safet in your namet that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one.t12 When I was with them I kept them safet and watched over themt in your namet that you have given me. Not onet of them was lost except the one destined for destruction,tst so that the scripture could be fulfilled.s13 But now I am coming to you, and I am saying these things in the world, so they may experiencet my joy completedt in themselves.14 I have given them your word,t and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world,t just as I do not belong to the world.t15 I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but that you keep them safet from the evil one.t16 They do not belong to the worldt just as I do not belong to the world.t17 Set them apartts in the truth; your word is truth.18 Just as you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world.s
19 And I set myself apartts on their behalf,t so that they too may be truly set apart.t
Jesus Prays for Believers Everywhere
20 “I am not prayingt only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believet in me through their testimony,t21 that they will all be one, just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I prayt that they will be in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me.22 The gloryt you gave to me I have given to them, that they may be one just as we are one –
23 I in them and you in me – that they may be completely one,t so that the world will know that you sent me, and you have loved them just as you have loved me.
24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am,t so that they can see my glory that you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the worldt.25 Righteous Father, even if the world does not know you, I know you, and these ment know that you sent me.
26 I made known your name to them, and I will continue to make it known,t so that the love you have loved me with may be in them, and I may be in them.”
