Jesu anozvinyengeterera
1 Jesu akati ataura izvi, akatarira kudenga akanyengetera achiti:
“Baba, nguva yasvika. Kudzai Mwanakomana wenyu, kuti Mwanakomana wenyu akukudzei.2 Nokuti makamupa simba pamusoro pavanhu vose kuti ape upenyu husingaperi kuna vose vamakamupa.3 Zvino uhu ndihwo upenyu husingaperi: kuti vakuzivei imi, Mwari oga wechokwadi, naJesu Kristu wamakatuma.4 Ndakauyisa kukudzwa kwamuri panyika nokuti ndakapedza basa ramakandipa kuti ndiite.
5 Zvino, Baba, ndikudzei pamberi penyu nokukudzwa kwandaiva nako ndinemi nyika isati yavambwa.

6 “Ndakakuratidzai kuna avo vamakandipa panyika. Vakanga vari venyu; mukavapa kwandiri uye vakateerera shoko renyu.7 Zvino vanoziva kuti zvinhu zvose zvamakandipa zvinobva kwamuri.8 Nokuti ndakavapa mashoko amakandipa uye vakaagamuchira. Vakaziva zvechokwadi kuti ndakabva kwamuri, uye vakatenda kuti makandituma.9 Ndinovanyengeterera. Handisi kunyengeterera nyika, asi avo vamakandipa nokuti ndevenyu.10 Zvose zvandinazvo ndezvenyu, uye zvose zvamunazvo ndezvangu. Uye kukudzwa kwakauya kwandiri kubudikidza navo.11 Ini handichagarizve munyika, asi ivo vachiri munyika, uye ini ndiri kuuya kwamuri. Baba Vatsvene, vadzivirirei nesimba rezita renyu, zita ramakandipa, kuti vave vamwe sesu tiri vamwe.12 Pandainge ndiinavo, ndakavadzivirira uye ndikavachengeta zvakanaka nezita ramakandipa. Hakuna akarasika kunze kwouyo akatongerwa kuparadzwa kuitira kuti Rugwaro ruzadziswe.
13 “Zvino ini ndiri kuuya kwamuri, asi ndiri kutaura zvinhu izvi ndichiri munyika, kuitira kuti vave nomufaro wangu wakazara mukati mavo.14 Ndakavapa shoko renyu uye nyika yakavavenga, nokuti havachisiri venyika sezvandisiri wenyika.15 Munyengetero wangu hausi wokuti muvabvise panyika asi kuti muvadzivirire pane akaipa.16 Havasi venyika, seni ndisiri wenyika.17 Vaitei vatsvene nechokwadi chenyu; shoko renyu ndiro chokwadi.18 Sezvamakandituma munyika, neniwo ndakavatuma munyika.19 Nokuda kwavo ndinozviita mutsvene, kuti naivowo vaitwe vatsvene muzvokwadi.

20 “Munyengetero wangu hausi waava voga. Ndinonyengetererawo avo vachazotenda kwandiri kubudikidza nemharidzo yavo,21 kuti vose vave vamwe, Baba, sezvo imi muri mandiri uye ini ndiri mamuri. Naivowo ngavave matiri kuitira kuti nyika igotenda kuti makandituma.22 Ndakavapa kubwinya kuya kwamakandipa, kuti vave vamwe sesu tiri vamwe:23 imi mavari uye imi mandiri. Ngavakwaniswe muhumwe kuti nyika izive kuti makandituma uye makavada kunyange sezvamakandida ini.
24 “Baba, ndinoda kuti vaya vamakandipa vave neni pandinenge ndiri, uye kuti vaone kubwinya kwangu, iko kubwinya kwamakandipa nokuti makandida nyika isati yasikwa.
25 “Baba vakarurama, kunyange nyika isingakuziviyi, ini ndinokuzivai, uye ivo vanoziva kuti makandituma.
26 Ndakakuzivisai kwavari, uye ndicharamba ndichiita kuti vakuzivei kuitira kuti rudo rwamakandida narwo rwuve mavari uye kuti ini pachangu ndive mavari.”

Jesus Prays for the Father to Glorify Him
1 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he looked upwardts to heavent and said, “Father, the timets has come. Glorify your Son, so that yourst Son may glorify you –2 just as you have given him authority over all humanity,t so that he may give eternal life to everyone you have given him.t3 Now thist is eternal lifes – that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ,t whom you sent.4 I glorified you on earth by completingts the work you gave me to do.t
5 And now, Father, glorify me at your sidet with the glory I had with you before the world was created.ts
Jesus Prays for the Disciples
6 “I have revealedt your name to the ment you gave me out of the world. They belonged to you,t and you gave them to me, and they have obeyedt your word.7 Now they understandt that everythingt you have given me comes from you,8 because I have given them the words you have given me. Theyt acceptedt themt and reallyt understandt that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.9 I am prayingt on behalf of them. I am not prayingt on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you have given me, because they belong to you.t10 Everythingt I have belongs to you,t and everything you have belongs to me,t and I have been glorified by them.ts11 It am no longer in the world, butt they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them safet in your namet that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one.t12 When I was with them I kept them safet and watched over themt in your namet that you have given me. Not onet of them was lost except the one destined for destruction,tst so that the scripture could be fulfilled.s13 But now I am coming to you, and I am saying these things in the world, so they may experiencet my joy completedt in themselves.14 I have given them your word,t and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world,t just as I do not belong to the world.t15 I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but that you keep them safet from the evil one.t16 They do not belong to the worldt just as I do not belong to the world.t17 Set them apartts in the truth; your word is truth.18 Just as you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world.s
19 And I set myself apartts on their behalf,t so that they too may be truly set apart.t
Jesus Prays for Believers Everywhere
20 “I am not prayingt only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believet in me through their testimony,t21 that they will all be one, just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I prayt that they will be in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me.22 The gloryt you gave to me I have given to them, that they may be one just as we are one –
23 I in them and you in me – that they may be completely one,t so that the world will know that you sent me, and you have loved them just as you have loved me.
24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am,t so that they can see my glory that you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the worldt.25 Righteous Father, even if the world does not know you, I know you, and these ment know that you sent me.
26 I made known your name to them, and I will continue to make it known,t so that the love you have loved me with may be in them, and I may be in them.”
