Isusova molitva
1 Pošto je Isus sve to rekao, pogleda prema nebu i nastavi: "Oče, došao je čas! Proslavi svojeg Sina da on može proslaviti tebe.2 Jer ti si mu dao vlast nad svim ljudima na zemlji. On daje vječni život svakomu koga si mu ti dao.3 A vječni život jest spoznati tebe, jedinoga, istinitoga Boga i Isusa Krista, koga si ti poslao na zemlju.4 Pronio sam tvoju slavu ovdje na zemlji čineći sve što si mi rekao da učinim.
5 A sada ti mene, Oče, proslavi slavom koju sam dijelio s tobom prije postanka svijeta.
6 Ovim sam ljudima rekao sve o tebi. Bili su u svijetu, ali ti si mi ih dao. Zapravo su oduvijek i bili tvoji, ali dao si ih meni i poslušali su tvoje riječi.7 Sad su spoznali da je sve što imam od tebe
8 jer sam im prenio riječi koje si mi dao. Prihvatili su ih, pa tako sigurno znaju da sam izišao od tebe i vjeruju da si me ti poslao.
9 Moja molitva nije za svijet, već za one koje si mi dao jer tebi pripadaju.10 Svi oni koji su moji pripadaju tebi, i svi koji su tvoji pripadaju meni. U njima sam se proslavio.11 Sad odlazim s ovog svijeta, ostavljam ih i idem tebi. Sveti Oče, brini se za njih i dalje, očuvaj sve one koje si mi dao u svojem imenu da budu sjedinjeni baš kao i mi.
12 Dok sam bio s njima, očuvao sam u tvojem imenu sve one koje si mi dao. Čuvao sam ih da nijedan osim sina pogibli ne propadne da se obistini proročanstvo iz Svetoga pisma.
13 A sada idem tebi. Ovo govorim dok sam u svijetu kako bi oni u sebi imali moju radost u svoj punini.14 Dao sam im tvoju riječ, a svijet ih je zamrzio jer ne pripadaju svijetu, baš kao ni ja.15 Ne molim te da ih uzmeš sa svijeta, već da ih očuvaš od zla.16 Nisu više od ovoga svijeta, kao što ni ja nisam od svijeta.17 Posveti ih istinom; tvoje su riječi istina.18 Kao što si mene poslao u svijet, tako i ja njih šaljem.
19 I ja se posvećujem za njih da i oni budu posvećeni istinom.
20 Ne molim te samo za ove nego i za sve koji će povjerovati u mene zbog njihova svjedočanstva.
21 Moja je molitva za sve njih da budu jednoga srca i uma, baš kao što smo ti i ja, Oče, ti u meni i ja u tebi, neka tako i oni budu jedno u nama da svijet povjeruje da si me ti poslao.
22 Ja sam im dao slavu koju si mi ti dao; da budu jedno kao što smo i mi -23 ja u njima, a ti u meni, da budu savršeno jedno. Tako će svijet spoznati da si me ti poslao i shvatiti da ih voliš kao što voliš mene.
24 Oče, želim da budu sa mnom - svi koje si mi dao - neka gledaju moju slavu koju si mi dao jer si me volio još prije postanka svijeta!
25 Pravedni Oče, svijet te ne poznaje, ali ja te poznajem. I ovi su učenici spoznali da si me ti poslao.
26 Njima sam otkrio tebe i dalje ću te objavljivati da žarka ljubav kojom mene voliš bude u njima i da ja budem u njima!"

Jesus Prays for the Father to Glorify Him
1 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he looked upwardts to heavent and said, “Father, the timets has come. Glorify your Son, so that yourst Son may glorify you –2 just as you have given him authority over all humanity,t so that he may give eternal life to everyone you have given him.t3 Now thist is eternal lifes – that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ,t whom you sent.4 I glorified you on earth by completingts the work you gave me to do.t
5 And now, Father, glorify me at your sidet with the glory I had with you before the world was created.ts
Jesus Prays for the Disciples
6 “I have revealedt your name to the ment you gave me out of the world. They belonged to you,t and you gave them to me, and they have obeyedt your word.7 Now they understandt that everythingt you have given me comes from you,8 because I have given them the words you have given me. Theyt acceptedt themt and reallyt understandt that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.9 I am prayingt on behalf of them. I am not prayingt on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you have given me, because they belong to you.t10 Everythingt I have belongs to you,t and everything you have belongs to me,t and I have been glorified by them.ts11 It am no longer in the world, butt they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them safet in your namet that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one.t12 When I was with them I kept them safet and watched over themt in your namet that you have given me. Not onet of them was lost except the one destined for destruction,tst so that the scripture could be fulfilled.s13 But now I am coming to you, and I am saying these things in the world, so they may experiencet my joy completedt in themselves.14 I have given them your word,t and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world,t just as I do not belong to the world.t15 I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but that you keep them safet from the evil one.t16 They do not belong to the worldt just as I do not belong to the world.t17 Set them apartts in the truth; your word is truth.18 Just as you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world.s
19 And I set myself apartts on their behalf,t so that they too may be truly set apart.t
Jesus Prays for Believers Everywhere
20 “I am not prayingt only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believet in me through their testimony,t21 that they will all be one, just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I prayt that they will be in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me.22 The gloryt you gave to me I have given to them, that they may be one just as we are one –
23 I in them and you in me – that they may be completely one,t so that the world will know that you sent me, and you have loved them just as you have loved me.
24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am,t so that they can see my glory that you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the worldt.25 Righteous Father, even if the world does not know you, I know you, and these ment know that you sent me.
26 I made known your name to them, and I will continue to make it known,t so that the love you have loved me with may be in them, and I may be in them.”
