1 To pověděv Ježíš, i pozdvihl očí svých k nebi a řekl: Otče, přišlať jest hodina, oslaviž Syna svého, aby i Syn tvůj oslavil tebe;2 Jakož jsi dal jemu moc nad každým člověkem, aby těm všechněm, kteréž jsi dal jemu, on život věčný dal.3 Totoť jest pak věčný život, aby poznali tebe samého pravého Boha, a kteréhož jsi poslal, Ježíše Krista.4 Jáť jsem oslavil tebe na zemi; dílo jsem vykonal, kteréž jsi mi dal, abych činil.5 A nyní oslaviž ty mne, Otče, u sebe samého, slávou, kterouž jsem měl u tebe, prve nežli svět byl.6 Oznámil jsem jméno tvé lidem, kteréž jsi mi dal z světa. Tvojiť jsou byli, a mně jsi je dal, a řeč tvou zachovali.7 A nyní poznali, že všecky věci, kteréž jsi mi dal, od tebe jsou.8 Nebo slova, kteráž jsi mi dal, dal jsem jim; a oni přijali, a poznali vpravdě, že jsem od tebe vyšel, a uvěřili, že jsi ty mne poslal.9 Já za ně prosím, ne za svět prosím, ale za ty, kteréž jsi mi dal, nebo tvoji jsou.10 A všecky věci mé tvé jsou, a tvé mé jsou, a já oslaven jsem v nich.11 Již pak více nejsem na světě, ale oni jsou na světě, a já k tobě jdu. Otče svatý, ostříhejž jich ve jménu svém, kteréž jsi mi dal, ať by byli jedno jako i my.12 Dokudž jsem s nimi byl na světě, já jsem jich ostříhal ve jménu tvém. Kteréž jsi mi dal, zachoval jsem, a žádný z nich nezahynul, než syn zatracení, aby #se Písmo naplnilo.13 Ale nyní k tobě jdu, a toto mluvím na světě, aby měli radost mou plnou v sobě.14 Já jsem jim dal slovo tvé, a svět jich nenáviděl; nebo nejsou z světa, jako i já nejsem z světa.15 Neprosímť, abys je vzal z světa, ale abys jich zachoval od zlého.16 Z světať nejsou, jakož i já nejsem z světa.17 Posvětiž jich v pravdě své, slovo tvé pravda jest.18 Jakož jsi mne poslal na svět, i já jsem je poslal na svět.19 A já posvěcuji sebe samého za ně, aby i oni posvěceni byli v pravdě.20 Ne za tytoť pak toliko prosím, ale i za ty, kteříž skrze slovo jejich mají uvěřiti ve mne,21 Aby všickni jedno byli, jako ty, Otče, ve mně, a já v tobě, aby i oni v nás jedno byli, aby uvěřil svět, že jsi ty mne poslal.22 A já slávu, kterouž jsi mi dal, dal jsem jim, aby byli jedno, jakož i my jedno jsme.23 Já v nich, a ty ve mně, aby dokonáni byli v jedno, a aby poznal svět, že jsi ty mne poslal, a že jsi je miloval, jakožs i mne miloval.24 Otče, kteréž jsi mi dal, chciť, kdež jsem já, aby i oni byli se mnou, aby hleděli na slávu mou, kteroužs mi dal; nebo jsi mne miloval před ustanovením světa.25 Otče spravedlivý, tebeť jest svět nepoznal, ale já jsem tebe poznal, a i tito poznali, že jsi ty mne poslal.26 A známéť jsem jim učinil jméno tvé, a ještě známo učiním, aby to milování, kterýmž jsi mne miloval, bylo v nich, a i já v nich.

Jesus Prays for the Father to Glorify Him
1 When Jesus had finished saying these things, he looked upwardts to heavent and said, “Father, the timets has come. Glorify your Son, so that yourst Son may glorify you –2 just as you have given him authority over all humanity,t so that he may give eternal life to everyone you have given him.t3 Now thist is eternal lifes – that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ,t whom you sent.4 I glorified you on earth by completingts the work you gave me to do.t
5 And now, Father, glorify me at your sidet with the glory I had with you before the world was created.ts
Jesus Prays for the Disciples
6 “I have revealedt your name to the ment you gave me out of the world. They belonged to you,t and you gave them to me, and they have obeyedt your word.7 Now they understandt that everythingt you have given me comes from you,8 because I have given them the words you have given me. Theyt acceptedt themt and reallyt understandt that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.9 I am prayingt on behalf of them. I am not prayingt on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you have given me, because they belong to you.t10 Everythingt I have belongs to you,t and everything you have belongs to me,t and I have been glorified by them.ts11 It am no longer in the world, butt they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them safet in your namet that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are one.t12 When I was with them I kept them safet and watched over themt in your namet that you have given me. Not onet of them was lost except the one destined for destruction,tst so that the scripture could be fulfilled.s13 But now I am coming to you, and I am saying these things in the world, so they may experiencet my joy completedt in themselves.14 I have given them your word,t and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world,t just as I do not belong to the world.t15 I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but that you keep them safet from the evil one.t16 They do not belong to the worldt just as I do not belong to the world.t17 Set them apartts in the truth; your word is truth.18 Just as you sent me into the world, so I sent them into the world.s
19 And I set myself apartts on their behalf,t so that they too may be truly set apart.t
Jesus Prays for Believers Everywhere
20 “I am not prayingt only on their behalf, but also on behalf of those who believet in me through their testimony,t21 that they will all be one, just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I prayt that they will be in us, so that the world will believe that you sent me.22 The gloryt you gave to me I have given to them, that they may be one just as we are one –
23 I in them and you in me – that they may be completely one,t so that the world will know that you sent me, and you have loved them just as you have loved me.
24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am,t so that they can see my glory that you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the worldt.25 Righteous Father, even if the world does not know you, I know you, and these ment know that you sent me.
26 I made known your name to them, and I will continue to make it known,t so that the love you have loved me with may be in them, and I may be in them.”
