一七

1 　ひとしきり語り終えられると、イエスは天を見上げて言われました。　「父よ。　いよいよ時が来ました。　わたしがあなたに栄光をお返しできるように、わたしの栄光を現わしてください。　2 地上のすべての人を支配する権威を、わたしに下さったのですから。　こうして、あなたから任せられた一人一人に、永遠のいのちを与えるのです。　3 ただ一人の、まことの神であるあなたと、あなたがこの地上にお遣わしになったわたしを知ること、それが、永遠のいのちを得る道です。　4 わたしは、何もかも、あなたに言われたとおりやり遂げ、地上であなたの栄光を現わしました。　5 父よ。　今こそあなたの前で、わたしの栄光を現わしてください。　世界が造られる前に、ごいっしょに持っていたあの栄光で、わたしを輝かせてください。
6 　あなたのことはすべて、この人たちに話しました。　彼らはこの世にいましたが、あなたが世から選び出し、わたしに下さったのです。実際にはいつもあなたのものである彼らを、わたしに下さったのです。彼らはあなたのおことばを守りました。　7 いま彼らは、わたしの持っているものはみな、あなたからの贈り物であることを知っています。　8 わたしが、あなたの命令を伝えたからです。　彼らはそれを受け入れ、確かに、わたしがあなたのもとから、この地上に遣わされて来たのだと納得し、信じています。
9 　お願いがあります。　もちろん、世のためではなく、あなたがわたしに下さった者たちのためです。　何と言っても、彼らはあなたのものなのですから。　10 彼らはみな、わたしのもの、また、あなたのものです。　あなたは彼らを、他のすべてのものといっしょに、わたしに下さいました。　ですから、彼らはわたしの栄光なのです。　11 わたしは世を去り、あなたのもとに帰ります。　彼らをあとに残して......。　ああ、父よ。　この人たちが一人も脱落しないように守ってください。　わたしたちが一つであるように、彼らも一つとならせてください。　12 わたしがいっしょにいた間は、あなたの家族として、一人一人を安全に守りました。　滅びないように、いつも見守りました。　ただ地獄の子は別です。　彼一人だけが滅びました。　聖書（旧約）に言われていたとおり......。
13 　今わたしは、みもとにまいります。　彼らの心がわたしの喜びでいっぱいになるようにと、いっしょにいる間は、できるだけのことを話しました。　14 あなたの命令も伝えました。　するとどうでしょう。　世間の人は彼らを憎んだのです。　わたし同様、彼らもこの世と調子を合わせようとしないからです。　15 彼らをこの世から取り去ってくださいとはお願いしません。　ただ、サタンから安全に守ってやってください。　16 わたし同様、彼らも、この世のものではありません。　17 あなたの真理のことばを教え、彼らを純粋な、きよい者としてください。　18 あなたがわたしを世にお遣わしになったように、わたしも彼らを世に遣わします。　19 また、彼らが真理を知る、きよい者として成長できるように、この身をささげます。
20 　この人たちのことだけでなく、この人たちの証言を聞いて、わたしを信じるすべての人のためにも祈ります。　21 父よ。　お願いです！　あなたとわたしが一つであるように、彼らも一つの心、一つの思いとなりますように。　あなたがわたしのうちにおられ、わたしがあなたのうちにいるのと同じように、彼らをもわたしたちのうちにおらせてください。　それを見て、あなたがわたしをお遣わしになったことを、世間が信じますように。
22 　あなたが下さった栄光を、わたしは彼らに与えました。　わたしたちが一つであるように、彼らも輝かしい一致を保ってほしかったからです。　23 わたしが彼らのうちにおり、あなたがわたしのうちにおられて初めて、みな完全に一つになるのです。　その時、世間は、あなたがわたしをお遣わしになったことを知り、わたしだけでなく彼らをも愛しておられることを、認めざるをえなくなるのです。　24 父よ。　彼らを、わたしといっしょにおらせてください。　わたしの栄光を見させてあげてください。　世界の造られる前からわたしを愛しておられた、あなたが下さった栄光を。
25 　ああ、父よ。　何事につけても正しい父よ。　世間はあなたを知りません。　けれども、わたしはあなたを知っています。　この弟子たちも、あなたがわたしをお遣わしになったことを知っています。　26 わたしが教えたのです。　これからも教えます。　あなたの大きな愛が彼らをつつみ、わたしも彼らのうちにいられるように。」逮捕されるイエス

John 17

1 These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the son may glorify thee:2 even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that to all whom thou hast given him, he should give eternal life.3 And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, even Jesus Christ.4 I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.5 And now, Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.6 I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.7 Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee:8 for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received them, and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine:10 and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them.11 And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are.12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.13 But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.14 I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil one.16 They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.17 Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.18 As thou didst send me into the world, even so sent I them into the world.19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.20 Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word;21 that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us: that the world may believe that thou didst send me.22 And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we are one;23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.24 Father, I desire that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.25 O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew that thou didst send me;26 and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.
