Исус се моли за себе
1 Када је то изговорио, Исус подиже поглед ка небу, па рече: »Оче, дошао је час: прослави Сина, да би Син прославио тебе.
2 Јер, ти си му дао власт над свим људимаt, да свима које си му дао дâ вечни живот.
3 А ово је вечни живот: да упознају тебе, јединога истинитог Бога, и онога кога си послао — Исуса Христа.
4 Ја сам тебе прославио на земљи довршивши дело које си ми дао да га извршим.
5 Сада ти прослави мене код себе, Оче, истом оном славом коју сам имао код тебе пре него што је свет постао.«
Исус се моли за ученике
6 »Објавио сам твоје име људима које си ми дао из овога света. Били су твоји, али ти си их дао мени и они су се држали твоје Речи.
7 Сада знају да је од тебе све што си ми дао.
8 Јер, дао сам им речи које си ти дао мени и они су их прихватили и заиста спознали да сам од тебе, и поверовали су да си ме ти послао.
9 За њих молим. Не молим за свет, него за оне које си ми дао, јер су твоји.
10 Све што је моје, твоје је, и што је твоје, моје је — а ја сам се у њима прославио.
11 Ја више нисам у свету, али они су у свету, а ја долазим к теби. Свети Оче, чувај их својим именом, које си ми дао, да буду једно као и ми.
12 Док сам био с њима, чувао сам их именом које си ми дао. Сачувао сам их и ниједан од њих није пропао, осим сина пропасти, да се испуни Писмо.
13 »Сада долазим к теби, али ово говорим док сам још у свету, да би они имали пуноћу моје радости у себи.
14 Предао сам им твоју Реч, а свет их је замрзео, јер нису од света, као што ни ја нисам од света.
15 Не молим да их узмеш са света, него да их сачуваш од зла.
16 Они нису од света, као што ни ја нисам од света.
17 Освештај их истином — твоја Реч је истина.
18 Као што си ти мене послао у свет, тако сам и ја њих послао у свет
19 и самога себе освештавам за њих, да и они буду освештани истином.«
Исус се моли за све који верују
20 »Али, не молим само за њих, него и за оне који ће на њихову реч поверовати у мене,
21 да сви буду једно као што си ти, Оче, у мени и ја у теби. Нека и они буду у нама, да свет поверује да си ме ти послао.
22 Дао сам им славу коју си ти дао мени, да буду једно као што смо ми једно
23 — ја у њима, а ти у мени — да буду савршено уједињени, да свет спозна да си ме ти послао и да си и њих волео као што си волео мене.
24 »Оче, хоћу да они које си ми дао буду са мном тамо где сам ја и да гледају моју славу, коју си ми дао јер си ме волео пре постанка света.
25 Праведни Оче, иако те свет не познаје, ја те познајем, а и ови знају да си ме ти послао.
26 Обзнанио сам им твоје име и обзнанићу, да љубав којом си ме заволео буде у њима, и ја у њима.«
John 17
The High Priestly Prayer
1 Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You,2 even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life.3 This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.4 I glorified You on the earth, having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.5 Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.
6 "I have manifested Your name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.7 Now they have come to know that everything You have given Me is from You;8 for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.9 I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours;10 and all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.11 I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are.12 While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and not one of them perished but the son of perdition, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.
The Disciples in the World
13 But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.14 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.15 I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.17 Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.19 For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
20 "I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word;21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.
Their Future Glory
22 The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.24 Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
25 "O righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me;26 and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."
