JOAN 2

Ezteiak Galileako Kanan

1 Hiru egunera, ezteiak izan ziren Galileako Kanan, eta han zen Jesusen ama.t 2 Jesus eta beronen ikasleak ere gonbidatu zituzten ezteietara.

3 Eta ardoa amaitu baitzen, esan zion amak Jesusi:
—Ez dute ardorik.

4 Jesusek erantzun zion:
—Utz nazazu bakean, emakume. Oraino ez da etorri nire orduat.t

5 Jesusen amak honela esan zien zerbitzariei: «Egin horrek esango dizuena».t

6 Baziren han harrizko sei ur-ontzi, juduek beren garbikuntzetarako erabili ohi zituztenak, ehunen bat litrokoa bakoitza.t

7 Jesusek esan zien zerbitzariei:
—Bete ontziak urez.
Haiek goraino bete zituzten.

8 Orduan, esan zien:
—Atera pixka bat eta eraman mahaizainari.
Hala egin zuten haiek.
9 Mahaizainak ardo bihurtutako ura dastatu zuen, nongoa zen jakin gabe; zerbitzariek, bai, bazekiten, beraiek atera baitzuten ura. Ardo berria dastatu zueneko, senarrari dei egin

10 eta esan zion: «Jende guztiak ardorik onena atera ohi du lehenik eta, jendea aski edanda dagoenean, arruntagoa; zuk, berriz, orain arte gorde duzu ardorik onena».
11 Bere lehen mirarizko seinale hau Galileako Kanan egin zuen Jesusek; honela, bere Jainko-aintza agertu zuen, eta ikasleek sinetsi egin zuten harengan.t

12 Ondoren, Kafarnaumera joan zen bere ama, anai-arreba eta ikasleekin, eta han egon ziren zenbait egunez.t

Jesusek tenplu berria iragarri

(Mt 21,12-13; Mk 11,15-17; Lk 19,45-46)

13 Hurbil zen juduen Pazko-jaia, eta Jerusalemera joan zen Jesus.t 14 Tenpluan merkatariak aurkitu zituen idi, ardi eta usoak saltzen, eta diru-trukatzaileak ere bai, han eserita. 15 Jesusek, lokarriz zartailu bat eginez, tenplutik kanpora bota zituen denak, baita ardiak eta idiak ere; eta trukatzaileen diruak sakabanatu eta mahaiak irauli egin zituen.

16 Uso-saltzaileei esan zien: «Kendu hemendik hau dena. Ez egin nire Aitaren etxea merkatu-etxe».t

17 Ikasleei, Liburu Santuak dioena etorri zitzaien gogora: Zure tenpluaren maiteminak erreko nau.t

18 Orduan, galdetu zioten judu-agintariek:
—Zer seinale ematen diguzu hori egiteko aginpidea duzula frogatzeko?

19 Jesusek erantzun zien:
—Desegizue tenplu hau eta hiru egunetan berreraikiko dut.t

20 Juduek ihardetsi zioten:
—Berrogeita sei urtet behar izan dira tenplu hau eraikitzeko, eta zuk hiru egunetan berreraikiko duzula?
21 Hura, ordea, bere gorputzaren tenpluaz ari zen.t

22 Horregatik, hildakoen artetik piztu zenean, esandako hori gogoratu zitzaien haren ikasleei, eta sinetsi egin zuten Liburu Santuko eta Jesusek esandako hitza.t

Jesusek gizakien barrua ezagutzen

23 Pazko-jaian Jesus Jerusalemen zegoela, askok sinetsi zuten harengan, egiten zituen mirarizko seinaleak ikusirik.t 24 Baina, Jesus bera ez zen fidatzen haietaz, guztiak ezagutzen baitzituen, 25 eta ez zuen inoren aitorpen-beharrik, ongi ezagutzen baitzuen berak gizakiaren baitan dagoena.

John 2

Turning Water into Wine

1 Now on the third day there was a wedding at Canas in Galilee.s Jesus’ mothert was there,2 and Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.s3 When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no wine left.”ts4 Jesus replied,t “Woman,s why are you saying this to me?t My timets has not yet come.”

5 His mother told the servants, “Whatever he tells you, do it.”t
6 Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washing,t each holding twenty or thirty gallons.ts7 Jesus told the servants,t “Fill the water jars with water.” So they filled them up to the very top.8 Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the head steward,”t and they did.9 Whent the head steward tasted the water that had been turned to wine, not knowing where it came fromt (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), het called the bridegroom10 and said to him, “Everyonet serves the good wine first, and then the cheapert wine when the guestst are drunk. You have kept the good wine until now!”

11 Jesus did this as the first of his miraculous signs,t in Canas of Galilee. In this way he revealedt his glory, and his disciples believed in him.t

Cleansing the Temple

12 After this he went down to Capernaumss with his mother and brotherss and his disciples, and they stayed there a few days.

13 Now the Jewish feast of Passovert was near, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.s
14 s He found in the temple courtsts those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at tables.t15 So he made a whip of cordss and drove them all out of the temple courts,t with the sheep and the oxen. He scattered the coins of the money changerss and overturned their tables.16 To those who sold the doves he said, “Take these things away from here! Do not maket my Father’s house a marketplace!”ts

17 His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zealtfor your house will devour me.”s
18 So then the Jewish leaderst responded,t “What sign can you show us, since you are doing these things?”s19 Jesus replied,t “Destroyt this temple and in three days I will raise it up again.”20 Then the Jewish leaderst said to him, “This temple has been under constructiont for forty-six years,s and are you going to raise it up in three days?”21 But Jesust was speaking about the temple of his body.ts

22 So after he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the scriptures and the sayingt that Jesus had spoken.

Jesus at the Passover Feast

23 Now while Jesust was in Jerusalems at the feast of the Passover, many people believed in his name because they saw the miraculous signs he was doing.s24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people.t

25 He did not need anyone to testify about man,t for he knew what was in man.t
