Le mariage à Cana
1 Deux jours après, il y eut un mariage à Cana, en Galilée. La mère de Jésus était là, 2 et on avait aussi invité Jésus et ses disciples à ce mariage. 3 A un moment donné, il ne resta plus de vin. La mère de Jésus lui dit alors : « Ils n’ont plus de vin. » 4 Mais Jésus lui répondit : « Mère, est-ce à toi de me dire ce que j’ai à fairet ? Mon heure n’est pas encore venue. » 5 La mère de Jésus dit alors aux serviteurs : « Faites tout ce qu’il vous dira. » 6 Il y avait là six récipients de pierre que les Juifs utilisaient pour leurs rites de purification. Chacun d’eux pouvait contenir une centaine de litres. 7 Jésus dit aux serviteurs : « Remplissez d’eau ces récipients. » Ils les remplirent jusqu’au bord. 8 Alors Jésus leur dit : « Puisez maintenant un peu de cette eau et portez-en au maître de la fête. » C’est ce qu’ils firent. 9 Le maître de la fête goûta l’eau changée en vin. Il ne savait pas d’où venait ce vin, mais les serviteurs qui avaient puisé l’eau le savaient. Il appela donc le marié
10 et lui dit : « Tout le monde commence par offrir le meilleur vin, puis, quand les invités ont beaucoup bu, on sert le moins bon. Mais toi, tu as gardé le meilleur vin jusqu’à maintenant ! »
11 Voilà comment Jésus fit le premier de ses signes miraculeux, à Cana en Galilée ; il manifesta ainsi sa gloire, et ses disciples crurent en lui.
12 Après cela, il se rendit à Capernaümt avec sa mère, ses frères et ses disciples. Ils n’y restèrent que peu de jours.Jésus dans le temple

13 La fête juive de la Pâque était proche et Jésus alla donc à Jérusalemt. 14 Dans le temple, il trouva des gens qui vendaient des bœufs, des moutons et des pigeons ; il trouva aussi des changeurs d’argent assis à leurs tablest. 15 Alors, il fit un fouet avec des cordes et les chassa tous hors du temple, avec leurs moutons et leurs bœufst ; il jeta par terre l’argent des changeurs en renversant leurs tables ; 16 et il dit aux vendeurs de pigeons : « Enlevez tout cela d’ici ! Ne faites pas de la maison de mon Père une maison de commerce ! »
17 Ses disciples se rappelèrent ces paroles de l’Écriture : « L’amour que j’ai pour ta maison, ô Dieu, me consumera comme un feut. »
18 Alors les chefs juifs lui demandèrent : « Quel signe miraculeux peux-tu faire pour nous prouver que tu as le droit d’agir ainsi ? » 19 Jésus leur répondit : « Détruisez ce temple, et en trois jours je le rebâtirait. » – 20 « On a mis quarante-six ans pour bâtir ce temple, et toi, tu vas le rebâtir en trois jours ? » lui dirent-ilst. 21 Mais le temple dont parlait Jésus, c’était son corps.
22 Plus tard, quand Jésus revint d’entre les morts, ses disciples se rappelèrent qu’il avait dit cela ; et ils crurent à l’Écriture et aux paroles que Jésus avait dites.Jésus connaît bien le cœur humain
23 Pendant que Jésus était à Jérusalem, au moment de la fête de la Pâque, beaucoup crurent en lui en voyant les signes miraculeux qu’il faisait. 24 Mais Jésus n’avait pas confiance en eux, parce qu’il les connaissait tous très bien. 25 Il n’avait pas besoin qu’on le renseigne sur qui que ce soit, car il savait lui-même ce qu’il y a dans le cœur humain.

1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:2 and Jesus also was bidden, and his disciples, to the marriage.3 And when the wine failed, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.4 And Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.6 Now there were six waterpots of stone set there after the Jews’ manner of purifying, containing two or three firkins apiece.7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the ruler of the feast. And they bare it.9 And when the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and knew not whence it was (but the servants that had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast calleth the bridegroom,10 and saith unto him, Every man setteth on first the good wine; and when men have drunk freely, then that which is worse: thou hast kept the good wine until now.11 This beginning of his signs did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brethren, and his disciples; and there they abode not many days.13 And the passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.14 And he found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:15 and he made a scourge of cords, and cast all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew their tables;16 and to them that sold the doves he said, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house a house of merchandise.17 His disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for thy house shall eat me up.18 The Jews therefore answered and said unto him, What sign showest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.20 The Jews therefore said, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou raise it up in three days?21 But he spake of the temple of his body.22 When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he spake this; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, during the feast, many believed on his name, beholding his signs which he did.24 But Jesus did not trust himself unto them, for that he knew all men,25 and because he needed not that any one should bear witness concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
