Apa preschimbată în vin

1 A treia zi a fost o nuntă în Cana Galileii. Mama lui Isus era acolo.2 La nuntă au fost invitați și Isus cu ucenicii Săi.

3 Când s-a terminat vinul, mama lui Isus I-a zis:
– Nu mai au vin!

4 Isus i-a răspuns:
– Femeiet, ce am Eu de-a face cu tine?t Nu mi-a sosit încă ceasul!

5 Mama Lui le-a zis slujitorilor: „Faceți orice vă va spune!“6 Erau acolo șase vase de piatră, puse după obiceiul de curățire al iudeilor, în fiecare încăpând două sau trei măsurit.7 Isus le-a zis: „Umpleți vasele cu apă!“ Și ei le-au umplut până sus.8 El le-a mai zis: „Acum scoateți din ele și duceți-i mai-marelui ospățului!“ Și ei i-au dus.9 Mai-marele ospățului a gustat apa care fusese făcută vin – el nu știa de unde este, însă slujitorii care scoseseră apa știau – l-a chemat pe mire și i-a zis:10 „Orice om pune la masă mai întâi vinul cel bun, iar după ce oaspeții au băut mult, îl pune pe cel mai puțin bun. Tu însă ai ținut vinul cel bun până acum!“

11 Isus a făcut acest început al semnelort Lui în Cana Galileii și Și-a arătat slava, iar ucenicii Lui au crezut în El.

Isus curăță Templul

12 După aceea S-a coborât la Capernaum împreună cu mama, frații și ucenicii Lui, și acolo n-au rămas decât câteva zile.

13 Paștele iudeilor era aproape și Isus S-a suit la Ierusalim.14 I-a găsit în Templut pe cei care vindeau boi, oi și porumbei și pe schimbătorii de banit stând la mesele lor .15 A făcut un bici din frânghii și i-a scos pe toți afară din Templu, împreună cu oile și boii lor. A împrăștiat monedele schimbătorilor de bani și le-a răsturnat mesele,16 iar celor ce vindeau porumbei le-a zis: „Ridicați acestea de aici! Nu faceți din Casa Tatălui Meu o casă de negoț!“17 Ucenicii Lui și-au adus aminte că este scris: „Râvna pentru Casa Ta Mă mistuie!“t

18 Atunci iudeii I-au zis:
– Prin ce semn ne arăți că ai dreptul să faci acestea?

19 Isus le-a răspuns:
– Dărâmați acest Templu, și în trei zile îl voi ridica!

20 Iudeii I-au zis:
– Au trebuit patruzeci și șase de ani ca să fie construit Templult acesta, și Tu-l vei ridica în trei zile?!

21 El însă vorbea despre Templul trupului Său.22 Atunci când El a fost înviat dintre cei morți, ucenicii Lui și-au amintit că spusese aceste vorbe și au crezut Scripturile și cuvântul pe care-l spusese Isus.

23 Pe când Isus era în Ierusalim, în timpul Sărbătorii Paștelui, mulți au crezut în Numele Lui, văzând semnele pe care le făcea.24 Dar Isus nu se încredea în ei, pentru că îi cunoștea pe toți25 și nu avea nevoie ca cineva să facă mărturisiri despre vreun om, fiindcă El Însuși știa ce era în om.

Jesus at a Wedding in Cana

1 Three days later Mary, the mother of Jesus, was at a wedding feast in the village of Cana in Galilee.

2 Jesus and his disciples had also been invited and were there.

3 When the wine was all gone, Mary said to Jesus, “They don't have any more wine.”

4 Jesus replied, “Mother, my time hasn't yet come!t You must not tell me what to do.”

5 Mary then said to the servants, “Do whatever Jesus tells you to do.”
6 At the feast there were six stone water jars that were used by the people for washing themselves in the way that their religion said they must. Each jar held about 100 liters . 7 Jesus told the servants to fill them to the top with water. Then after the jars had been filled,

8 he said, “Now take some water and give it to the man in charge of the feast.”
The servants did as Jesus told them, 9 and the man in charge drank some of the water that had now turned into wine. He did not know where the wine had come from, but the servants did. He called the bridegroom over

10 and said, “The best wine is always served first. Then after the guests have had plenty, the other wine is served. But you have kept the best until last!”
11 This was Jesus' first miracle, t and he did it in the village of Cana in Galilee. There Jesus showed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

12 t After this, he went with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples to the town of Capernaum, where they stayed for a few days.

Jesus in the Temple

(Matthew 21.12,13; Mark 11.15-17; Luke 19.45,46)

15 So he took some rope and made a whip. Then he chased everyone out of the temple, together with their sheep and cattle. He turned over the tables of the moneychangers and scattered their coins.

16 Jesus said to the people who had been selling doves, “Get those doves out of here! Don't make my Father's house a marketplace.”

17  t The disciples then remembered that the Scriptures say, “My love for your house burns in me like a fire.”

18 The Jewish leaders asked Jesus, “What miraclet will you work to show us why you have done this?”

19  t “Destroy this temple,” Jesus answered, “and in three days I will build it again!”

20 The leaders replied, “It took 46 years to build this temple. What makes you think you can rebuild it in three days?”
21 But Jesus was talking about his body as a temple.

22 And when he was raised from death, his disciples remembered what he had told them. Then they believed the Scriptures and the words of Jesus.
