عروسی در قانای جلیل
1 دو روز بعد، در قانای جلیل جشن عروسی برپا بود و مادر عیسی در آنجا حضور داشت. 2 عیسی و شاگردانش نیز به عروسی دعوت شده بودند.
3 وقتی شراب تمام شد، مادر عیسی به او گفت: «آنها دیگر شراب ندارند.»
4 عیسی به وی پاسخ داد: «این به من مربوط است یا به تو؟ وقت من هنوز نرسیده است.»
5 مادرش به نوكران گفت: «هرچه به شما بگوید انجام دهید.»
6 در آنجا شش خمرهٔ سنگی وجود داشت، كه هر یک در حدود هشتاد لیتر گنجایش داشت و برای انجام مراسم تطهیر یهود به كار میرفت. 7 عیسی به نوكران گفت: «خمرهها را از آب پر كنید.» آنها را لبالب پر كردند. 8 آنگاه عیسی گفت: «اكنون كمی از آن را نزد رئیس مجلس ببرید.» و آنها چنین كردند. 9 رئیس مجلس كه نمیدانست آن را از كجا آورده بودند، آبی را كه به شراب تبدیل شده بود چشید، امّا خدمتكارانی كه آب را از چاه كشیده بودند، از جریان اطّلاع داشتند. پس رئیس مجلس داماد را صدا كرد
10 و به او گفت: «همه، بهترین شراب را اول به مهمانان میدهند و وقتی سرشان گرم شد، آن وقت شراب پستتر را میآورند امّا تو بهترین شراب را تا این ساعت نگاه داشتهای!»
11 این معجزه، كه در قانای جلیل انجام شد، اولین معجزهٔ عیسی بود و او به وسیلهٔ آن جلال خود را ظاهر كرد و شاگردانش به او ایمان آوردند.
12 بعد از آن عیسی همراه مادر، برادران و شاگردان خود به كفرناحوم رفت و چند روزی در آنجا ماندند.عیسی به معبد بزرگ میرود

13 چون عید فصح یهود نزدیک بود عیسی به اورشلیم رفت. 14 در معبد بزرگ، اشخاصی را دید كه به فروش گاو و گوسفند و كبوتر مشغولند، و صرّافان هم در پشت میزهای خود نشستهاند. 15 پس با طناب شلاقی ساخت و همهٔ آنان را با گوسفندان و گاوان از معبد بزرگ بیرون راند و سکّههای صرّافان را دور ریخت و میزهای آنها را واژگون ساخت. 16 آنگاه به كبوتر فروشان گفت: «اینها را از اینجا بیرون ببرید. خانهٔ پدر مرا به بازار تبدیل نكنید.»
17 شاگردان عیسی بهخاطر آوردند كه کتابمقدّس میفرماید: «غیرتی که برای خانهٔ تو دارم آتشی در وجودم برافروخته است.»
18 پس یهودیان از او پرسیدند: «چه معجزهای میكنی كه نشان بدهد حق داری این كارها را انجام دهی؟»
19 عیسی در پاسخ گفت: «این معبد را ویران كنید و من آن را در سه روز برپا خواهم كرد.»
20 یهودیان گفتند: «ساختن این معبد چهل و شش سال طول كشیده است. تو چطور میتوانی آن را در سه روز بنا كنی؟»
21 امّا معبدی كه عیسی از آن سخن میگفت بدن خودش بود.
22 پس از رستاخیز او از مردگان، شاگردانش بهیاد آوردند كه این را گفته بود و به کتابمقدّس و سخنان عیسی ایمان آوردند.عیسی همه را میشناسد
23 در آن روزها كه عیسی برای عید فصح در اورشلیم بود اشخاص بسیاری كه معجزات او را دیدند، به او گرویدند 24 امّا عیسی به آنان اعتماد نكرد، چون همه را خوب میشناخت 25 و لازم نبود کسی دربارهٔ انسان چیزی به او بگوید زیرا او به خوبی میدانست كه در درون انسان چیست.

Jesus at a Wedding in Cana
1 Three days later Mary, the mother of Jesus, was at a wedding feast in the village of Cana in Galilee.
2 Jesus and his disciples had also been invited and were there.
3 When the wine was all gone, Mary said to Jesus, “They don't have any more wine.”
4 Jesus replied, “Mother, my time hasn't yet come!t You must not tell me what to do.”
5 Mary then said to the servants, “Do whatever Jesus tells you to do.”
6 At the feast there were six stone water jars that were used by the people for washing themselves in the way that their religion said they must. Each jar held about 100 liters . 7 Jesus told the servants to fill them to the top with water. Then after the jars had been filled,
8 he said, “Now take some water and give it to the man in charge of the feast.”
The servants did as Jesus told them, 9 and the man in charge drank some of the water that had now turned into wine. He did not know where the wine had come from, but the servants did. He called the bridegroom over
10 and said, “The best wine is always served first. Then after the guests have had plenty, the other wine is served. But you have kept the best until last!”
11 This was Jesus' first miracle, t and he did it in the village of Cana in Galilee. There Jesus showed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.
12 t After this, he went with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples to the town of Capernaum, where they stayed for a few days.Jesus in the Temple

13 t Not long before the Jewish festival of Passover, Jesus went to Jerusalem. 14 There he found people selling cattle, sheep, and doves in the temple. He also saw moneychangers sitting at their tables.
15 So he took some rope and made a whip. Then he chased everyone out of the temple, together with their sheep and cattle. He turned over the tables of the moneychangers and scattered their coins.
16 Jesus said to the people who had been selling doves, “Get those doves out of here! Don't make my Father's house a marketplace.”
17 t The disciples then remembered that the Scriptures say, “My love for your house burns in me like a fire.”
18 The Jewish leaders asked Jesus, “What miraclet will you work to show us why you have done this?”
19 t “Destroy this temple,” Jesus answered, “and in three days I will build it again!”
20 The leaders replied, “It took 46 years to build this temple. What makes you think you can rebuild it in three days?”
21 But Jesus was talking about his body as a temple.
22 And when he was raised from death, his disciples remembered what he had told them. Then they believed the Scriptures and the words of Jesus.Jesus Knows //What People Are Like
23 In Jerusalem during Passover many people put their faith in Jesus, because they saw him work miracles.t 24 But Jesus knew what was in their hearts, and he would not let them have power over him. 25 No one had to tell him what people were like. He already knew.
