二○

1 　週の初めの日（日曜日）、朝早く、まだ暗いうちに、マグダラのマリヤは墓に行きました。　見ると、入口の石がわきにのけてあります。
2 　驚いたマリヤは、息せき切ってシモン・ペテロと私のところに駆けつけ、「た、たいへんよ。　だ、だれかが、主のお体を取ってっちゃったわ！　ねえ、いったい全体、どこに置いたのかしら」と叫びました。
3-4 私たちは、それを確かめようと、二人して墓に急ぎました。　私はペテロより速かったので、先に着きました。　5 すぐさま身をかがめてのぞき込むと、亜麻布が見えます。　けれども、中には入りませんでした。　6 続いてシモン・ペテロが駆けつけ、ためらわず中に入りました。　彼もやっぱり、亜麻布と、　7 そこからやや離れた所に、イエスの頭に巻いたはずの布がそのままの形で置いてあるのを見ました。　8 私もあとから入り、この有様を見て、イエスが復活なさったことを信じました。　9 この時までは、イエスは必ず復活すると書いてある聖書のことばを、全く理解していなかったのです。
10 　二人は家に帰りました。　11 同じころ、マリヤは墓に戻り、外に立って泣いていました。　ところが、泣きながら身をかがめて墓の中をのぞき込むと、　12 イエスのお体があった場所の、頭と足にあたる所に、白い着物をきた御使いが二人、座っているではありませんか。
13 　「なぜ泣いているのです？」御使いたちがマリヤに尋ねました。
「だれかが私の主を取って行ったからですわ。　どこに置いたのか、まるっきりわからないんですもの。」
14 　こう答えてふり向くと、だれかが立っています。　なんとイエスでした。　しかし、マリヤはまだ気がつかないようです。
15 　イエスはマリヤにお尋ねになりました。　「どうかしましたか。　泣いたりして......。　だれを捜しているのですか？」
マリヤは、園の管理人と勘違いしていたので、「あの方を運んだのはあなた？　もしそうだったら、どこに置いたのか教えてください。私が引き取ります」と言いました。
16 　「マリヤ。」イエスが呼びかけられました。　その声にマリヤは、イエスのほうを向いて叫びました。
「先生っ！」
17 　「待ちなさい。　すがりつくのはやめなさい。　まだ父のもとに上っていないのですから。　それよりも、してほしいことがあります。　行ってわたしの兄弟たちに、『わたしは、わたしの父、またあなたがたの父である方、わたしの神、またあなたがたの神である方のもとに上って行く』と伝えてほしいのです。」
18 　マグダラのマリヤは、さっそく帰って行き、弟子たちに、「ねえ聞いて、主にお会いしたのよ」と告げ、イエスの言われたとおりに話しました。
19 　同じ日曜日の夕方のことです。　弟子たちは、ユダヤ人の指導者たちを恐れて、戸にしっかりかぎをかけ、肩を寄せ合うようにして集まっていました。　その時、突然、全く突然に、イエスが一同の中にお立ちになったのです。　「平安があるように。」イエスはまず、こうあいさつされてから、　20 手とわき腹をお見せになりました。　主を見た弟子たちの喜びは、どんなだったでしょう。
21 　イエスはもう一度言われました。　「平安があるように。　父がわたしをお遣わしになったように、わたしもあなたがたを遣わします。」　22 ここで、一同にふっと息を吹きかけ、また言われました。　「聖霊を受けなさい。　23 あなたがたが赦すなら、だれの罪も赦されます。　あなたがたが赦さない罪は赦されません。」
疑わずに信じなさい
24 　十二弟子の一人で、「ふたご」と呼ばれたトマスは、その時、その場に居合わせませんでした。　25 それでみんなが、「ほんとうだよ。主にお会いしたんだよ」と口をすっぱくして話しましたが、本気にしません。　頑として、こう言いはるばかりです。　「主の御手に釘あとを見、この指をそこに差し入れ、この手を主のわき腹に差し入れてみなきゃ、信じるもんか。」
26 　八日たちました。　その日も、弟子たちは集まっていました。　今度はトマスもいっしょです。　戸には、かぎがかかっています。　ところが、突然、前の時と全く同じように、イエスが一同の中に立ち、「平安があるように」と、あいさつなさったではありませんか。
27 　それからイエスは、トマスにおっしゃいました。　「さあ、あなたの指をこの手に当ててみなさい。　あなたの手をこのわき腹に差し入れてみなさい。　いつまでも疑っていないで、信じなさい。」
28 　「ああ、わが主、わが神よ！」感きわまって、トマスは叫びました。
29 　「わたしを見たから信じたのですか。　しかし、見なくても信じる者はしあわせです。」
30 　この本に記した奇蹟のほかにも、もっと多くの奇蹟をイエスが行なわれるのを、弟子たちは見ました。　31 しかし、これらのことを特に書いたのは、あなたがたが、イエスは神の子キリストであると信じるため、またそう信じていのちを得るためです。ガリラヤ湖畔で弟子に現われたイエス

John 20

1 Now on the first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, while it was yet dark, unto the tomb, and seeth the stone taken away from the tomb.2 She runneth therefore, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him.3 Peter therefore went forth, and the other disciple, and they went toward the tomb.4 And they ran both together: and the other disciple outran Peter, and came first to the tomb;5 and stooping and looking in, he seeth the linen cloths lying; yet entered he not in.6 Simon Peter therefore also cometh, following him, and entered into the tomb; and he beholdeth the linen cloths lying,7 and the napkin, that was upon his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but rolled up in a place by itself.8 Then entered in therefore the other disciple also, who came first to the tomb, and he saw, and believed.9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise from the dead.10 So the disciples went away again unto their own home.11 But Mary was standing without at the tomb weeping: so, as she wept, she stooped and looked into the tomb;12 and she beholdeth two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.14 When she had thus said, she turned herself back, and beholdeth Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou hast borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turneth herself, and saith unto him in Hebrew, Rabboni; which is to say, Teacher.17 Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.18 Mary Magdalene cometh and telleth the disciples, I have seen the Lord; and that he had said these things unto her.19 When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.20 And when he had said this, he showed unto them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord.21 Jesus therefore said to them again, Peace be unto you: as the Father hath sent me, even so send I you.22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Spirit:23 whose soever sins ye forgive, they are forgiven unto them; whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and see my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and put it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.28 Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.29 Jesus saith unto him, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.30 Many other signs therefore did Jesus in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book:31 but these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye may have life in his name.
