1 Ma otù nwoke nime ndi-Farisi di aha-ya bu Nikọdimọs, otù onye-isi nke ndi-Ju: 2 Onye ahu biakutere Ya n'abali, si Ya, Rabai, ayi matara na I bu onye-ozizí Nke siworo n'ebe Chineke nọ bia: n'ihi na ọ dighi onye ọ bula puru ime ihe-iriba-ama ndia nke Gi onwe-gi nēme, ma ọ buru na Chineke anọyeghi ya. 3 Jisus zara, si ya, N'ezie, n'ezie, asi mi, Ọ buru na amughi madu ọzọ, ọ pughi ihu ala-eze Chineke anya. 4 Nikọdimọs we si ya, Èsi aṅa pu imu madu mb͕e ọ kara nká? ọ̀ puru ibà n'afọ nne-ya nke ub͕ò abua, ewe mua ya? 5 Jisus zara, N'ezie, n'ezie, asim i, Ọ buru na amughi madu site na miri na Mọ Nsọ, ọ pughi ibà n'ala-eze Chineke. 6 Nke amuworo site n'anu-aru bu anu-aru; nke amuwo-kwa-ra site na Mọ Nsọ bu mọ. 7 Ka ọ ghara iju gi anya na M'siri gi, Aghaghi imu unu ọzọ. 8 Ifufe nēfe ebe ọ nāchọ, i nānu kwa olu-ya, ma i mataghi ebe o si bia, na ebe ọ nāga: otú a ka onye ọ bula amuworo site na Mọ Nsọ di. 9 Nikọdimọs zara, si Ya, Ìhe ndia si aṅa pu ime? 10 Jisus zara, si ya, Gì onwe-gi bu onye-ozizí Israel, ma i maghi ihe ndia? 11 N'ezie, n'ezie, asim i, Ayi nēkwu ihe ayi matara, ayi nāb͕a kwa àmà ihe ayi huru; ma unu anaraghi àmà-ayi. 12 Ọ buru na agwaram unu ihe nke uwa, ma unu ekweghi, ùnu gēsi aṅa kwere, ma ọ buru na agwam unu ihe nke elu-igwe? 13 Ọ dighi kwa onye ọ bula rigoworo n'elu-igwe, ma-ọbughi Onye siri n'elu-igwe ridata, bú Nwa nke madu. 14 Ma dika Moses weliri agwọ n'ọhia, ọbuná otú a aghaghi iweli Nwa nke madu elu:

15 ka onye ọ bula nke kwere we nwe ndu ebighi-ebi na Ya.
16 N'ihi na Chineke huru uwa n'anya otú a, na Ọ nyere ọbuná Ọkpara Ọ muru nání Ya, ka onye ọ bula nke kwere na Ya we ghara ila n'iyì, kama ka o nwe ndu ebighi-ebi. 17 N'ihi na Chineke eziteghi Ọkpara-Ya n'uwa ka O kpe uwa ikpé; kama ka ewe site n'aka-Ya zọputa uwa. 18 Ekpeghi onye kwere na Ya ikpé: ekpewo onye nēkweghi na Ya ikpé ub͕u a, n'ihi na o kweghi n'aha nke Ọkpara Chineke muru nání Ya. 19 Ma nka bu ikpé ahu, na Ìhè ahu abiawo n'uwa, ma madu huru ọchichiri n'anya kama Ìhè ahu; n'ihi na ọlu-ha jọrọ njọ. 20 N'ihi na onye ọ bula nke nēme ihe nādighi nma nākpọ Ìhè ahu asì, ọ dighi-abiakute kwa Ìhè ahu, ka aghara itu ya ọlu-ya nile n'anya.

21 Ma onye nēme ihe bu ezi-okwu nābiakute Ìhè ahu, ka ewe me ka ọlu-ya puta ìhè, na aluworo ha na Chineke.
22 Mb͕e ihe ndia gasiri Jisus na ndi nēso uzọ-Ya biara n'ala Judia; n'ebe ahu ka Ya na ha nānọgide, Ọ nēme kwa baptism. 23 Jọn nēme kwa baptism n'Inon nke di Selem nso, n'ihi na miri riri nne n'ebe ahu: ha we nābia, anēme kwa ha baptism. 24 N'ihi na akātubàghi Jọn n'ulo-nkpọrọ. 25 Ya mere iju-ajuju putara n'etiti ndi nēso uzọ Jọn na onye-Ju banyere ime-ọcha. 26 Ha we biakute Jọn, si ya, Rabai, Onye gi na Ya nọ n'ofè Jọdan, Onye gi onwe-gi b͕aworo àmà nye Ya, le, Onye ahu nēme baptism, madu nile nābiakute kwa Ya. 27 Jọn zara, si, Madu apughi inata ihe ọ bula, ọ buru na eweghi ya nye ya site n'elu-igwe. 28 Unu onwe-unu nāb͕aram àmà, na m'siri, Mu onwem abughi Kraist ahu, kama, na ezitewom n'iru Ya. 29 Onye nwere nwunye ọhu bu onye nālu nwunye ọhu: ma enyì nke onye nālu nwunye ọhu, onye nēguzo nānu kwa okwu-ya, ọ nāṅuri ọṅu nke-uku n'ihi olu onye ahu nālu nwunye ọhu: ya mere emezuwo ọṅùm a.

30 Ya onwe-ya aghaghi idi nāba uba, ma aghaghm idi nāla alà.
31 Onye si n'elu bia ka ihe nile elu: onye si n'ala puta nāputa n'ala, si kwa n'ala nēkwu okwu: Onye si n'elu-igwe bia ka ihe nile elu. 32 Ihe nke ọ huworo na nke Ọ nuru, nka ka Ọ nāb͕a àmà; ma ọ dighi onye ọ bula nānara àmà-Ya. 33 Onye nara àmà-Ya kara akàrà-ya na nka, na Chineke bu Onye ezi-okwu. 34 N'ihi na Onye ahu Chineke zitere nēkwu okwu Chineke: n'ihi na O siteghi n'ọtùtù enye Mọ Nsọ. 35 Nna nāhu Ọkpara-Ya n'anya, O nyewo kwa Ya ihe nile n'aka. 36 Onye kwere n'Ọkpara ahu nwere ndu ebighi-ebi; ma onye nēkweyeghi Ọkpara ahu agaghi-ahu ndu, kama iwe Chineke nānọgide n'aru-ya.

John 3

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:2 the same came unto him by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that thou doest, except God be with him.3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew.8 The wind bloweth where it will, and thou hearest the voice thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou the teacher of Israel, and understandest not these things?11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that which we know, and bear witness of that which we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.12 If I told you earthly things and ye believe not, how shall ye believe if I tell you heavenly things?13 And no one hath ascended into heaven, but he that descended out of heaven, even the Son of man, who is in heaven.14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up;15 that whosoever believeth may in him have eternal life.16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.17 For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.18 He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.19 And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his works should be reproved.21 But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, that they have been wrought in God.22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.23 And John also was baptizing in Enon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.24 For John was not yet cast into prison.25 There arose therefore a questioning on the part of John’s disciples with a Jew about purifying.26 And they came unto John, and said to him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou hast borne witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it have been given him from heaven.28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but, that I am sent before him.29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, that standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is made full.30 He must increase, but I must decrease.31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is of the earth, and of the earth he speaketh: he that cometh from heaven is above all.32 What he hath seen and heard, of that he beareth witness; and no man receiveth his witness.33 He that hath received his witness hath set his seal to this, that God is true.34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for he giveth not the Spirit by measure.35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.36 He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life; but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.
