1 Mb͕e Ọ nāgabiga, Ọ hu otù nwoke nke kpuru ìsì site n'ọmumu-ya. 2 Ndi nēso uzọ-Ya we jua Ya, si, Rabai, ònye mehiere, onye a, ma-ọbu ndi muru ya, nke mere ka amua ya n'ìsì? 3 Jisus zara, si, Onye a emehieghi, ndi muru ya emehieghi kwa: kama ka ọlu Chineke we puta ìhè n'aru ya. 4 Ayi aghaghi ilu ọlu Onye ziterem, mb͕e ubọchi fọduru: abali nābia, mb͕e ọ dighi onye ọ bula puru ilu ọlu. 5 Mb͕e ọ bula M'nọ n'uwa, abum Ìhè nke uwa. 6 Mb͕e O kwusiri ihe ndia, Ọ bua ọnu-miri n'ala, were ọnu-miri ahu gwọ ájá, were ájá ahu te n'anya-ya abua, 7 si ya, Je sa miri n'ọdọ-miri ntà nke Sailoam (nke bu, ma asugharia ya, Onye eziteworo). Ya mere O jere, sa miri, bia kwa nāhu uzọ. 8 Ya mere ndi-ab͕ata-obi-ya, na ndi nāhu ya-ri n'oge gara aga, na ọ bu onye-aririọ, ha nāsi, Onye a, ọ̀ bughi onye nānọ ala nāriọ kwa aririọ? 9 Ndi ọzọ nāsi, Ọ bu ya; ndi ọzọ nāsi, É-è, kama o yiri ya. Ya onwe-ya siri, Mu onwem bu ya. 10 Ya mere ha nāsi ya, Èsi kwa aṅa meghe anya-gi? 11 Onye ahu zara, si, Nwoke ahu anākpọ Jisus gwọrọ ájá, te kwa ya n'anyam abua, sim, Je Sailoam, sa miri: ya mere ejerem, sa miri, ewe me ka M'hu uzọ.

12 Ha si ya, Òle ebe Onye ahu nọ? Ọ si, Amataghm.
13 Ha kutara ndi-Farisi onye ahu nke kpuru ìsì n'oge gara aga. 14 Ma ọ bu ubọchi-izu-ike n'ubọchi Jisus gwọrọ ájá, we meghe anya-ya. 15 Ya mere ndi-Farisi ju-kwa-ra ya ọzọ otú emere ọ hu uzọ. Ọ si ha, Ọ tukwasiri ájá n'anyam abua, m'we sa miri, nāhu kwa uzọ. 16 Ya mere ufọdu n'etiti ndi-Farisi nāsi, Nwoke a esiteghi n'ebe Chineke nọ, n'ihi na O dighi-edebe ubọchi-izu-ike. Ma ndi ọzọ nāsi, Nwòke bu onye-nmehie si aṅa pu ime ihe-iriba-ama di otú a? Nkewa we di n'etiti ha. 17 Ya mere ha si onye-ìsì ahu ọzọ, Gini ka gi onwe-gi nēkwu bayere Ya, n'ihi na O meghere anya-gi? Ọ si, Ọ bu onye-amuma. 18 Ya mere ndi-Ju ekweghi okwu bayere ya, na o kpururi ìsì, na eme-kwa-ra ya ka ọ hu uzọ, rue mb͕e ha kpọrọ ndi muru onye ahu emere ka ọ hu uzọ, 19 we jua ha, si, Onye a, ọ̀ bu nwa-unu, onye unu nāsi na amuru ya n'ìsì? ò si kwa aṅa hu uzọ ub͕u a? 20 Ndi muru ya zara, si, Ayi matara na onye a bu nwa-ayi, na amu-kwa-ra ya n'ìsì: 21 ma otú ọ nāhu uzọ ub͕u a, ayi amataghi; ma-ọbu onye meghere anya-ya, ayi onwe-ayi amatagh: juana ya; o ruwo dìnkpà; ya onwe-ya gēkwuru onwe-ya. 22 Ihe ndia ka ndi muru ya kwuru, n'ihi na ha nātu egwu ndi-Ju: n'ihi na ndi-Ju kwekọrọri n'etiti onwe-ha ub͕u a, ka esi n'ulo-nzukọ chupu onye ọ bula, ma ọ buru na ọ gēkwuputa na Ọ bu Kraist. 23 N'ihi nka ndi muru ya siri, O ruwo dìnkpà; juana ya. 24 Ya mere ha kpọrọ onye ahu nke ub͕ò abua, bú onye kpururi ìsì, we si ya, Nye Chineke otuto: ayi onwe-ayi matara na Nwoke a bu onye-nmhie. 25 Ya mere onye ahu zara, si, Ma Ọ bu onye-nmehie, amataghm: otù ihe ka m'matara, na, ebe m'kpururi ìsì, ub͕u a anamahu uzọ. 26 ya mere ha siri ya, Gini ka O mere gi? Ò si aṅa meghe anya-gi? 27 Ọ zara ha, si, Agwaram unu ọbuná ub͕u a, ma unu anugh: gini mere unu nāchọ inu ya ọzọ? ùnu onwe-unu nāchọ kwa ighọ ndi nēso uzọ-Ya? 28 Ha we kwutọ ya, si, Gi onwe-gi bu onye nēso uzọ Onye ahu; ma ayi onwe-ayi bu ndi nēso uzọ Moses. 29 Ayi onwe-ayi matara na Chineke agwawo Moses okwu: ma Onye a, ayi amataghi ebe O si puta. 30 Nwoke ahu zara, si ha, Ekwula, n'ihi na ihe-ebube di na nka, na unu onwe-unu amataghi ebe O si puta, ma Ọ meghere anyam. 31 Ayi matara na Chineke adighi-anu olu ndi-nmehie: kama ọ buru na onye ọ bula bu onye nēbi isi ala nye Chineke, nēme kwa ihe Ọ nāchọ, onye ahu ka Ọ nānu. 32 Site na nmalite oge a ọ dighi mb͕e anuru na onye ọ bula meghere anya onye amuru n'ìsì. 33 Ọ buru na Onye a esiteghi n'ebe Chineke nọ, Ọ pughi ime ihe ọ bula.

34 Ha zara, si ya, Amuru gi onwe-gi nime nmehie, ọ̀ bu gi onwe-gi nēzí kwa ayi ihe? Ha we chupu ya n'èzí.
35 Jisus nuru na ha chupuru ya-ri n'èzí; O we chọta ya, si, Gì onwe-gi kwere n'Ọkpara Chineke? 36 Onye ahu zara, si, Ọ̀ bu kwa onye, Onye-nwe-ayi, ka m'we kwere na Ya? 37 Jisus siri ya, I huwo Ya, Onye gi na Ya nēkwu okwu bu kwa Onye ahu. 38 O we si, Onye-nwe-ayi, ekwem. O we kpọ isi ala nye Ya. 39 Jisus we si, Ọ bu ikpé ka Mu onwem ji bia n'uwa nka, ka ndi nāhughi uzọ we hu; ka ndi huru uzọ we ghọ kwa ndi-ìsì. 40 Ndi di n'etiti ndi-Farisi ndi ha na Ya nọ nuru ihe ndia, ha we si Ya, Àyi onwe-ayi kpu-kwa-ra? 41 Jisus siri ha, Ọ buru na unu kpuru ìsì, unu agaghi-enwe nmehie: ma ub͕u a unu nāsi, Ayi nāhu uzọ: nmehie-unu nānọgide.

John 9

1 And as he passed by, he saw a man blind from his birth.2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind?3 Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.4 We must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.5 When I am in the world, I am the light of the world.6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and anointed his eyes with the clay,7 and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is by interpretation, Sent). He went away therefore, and washed, and came seeing.8 The neighbors therefore, and they that saw him aforetime, that he was a beggar, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?9 Others said, It is he: others said, No, but he is like him. He said, I am he.10 They said therefore unto him, How then were thine eyes opened?11 He answered, The man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to Siloam, and wash: so I went away and washed, and I received sight.12 And they said unto him, Where is he? He saith, I know not.13 They bring to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.14 Now it was the sabbath on the day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.15 Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. And he said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and I see.16 Some therefore of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he keepeth not the sabbath. But others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such signs? And there was division among them.17 They say therefore unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, in that he opened thine eyes? And he said, He is a prophet.18 The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight,19 and asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? How then doth he now see?20 His parents answered and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:21 but how he now seeth, we know not; or who opened his eyes, we know not: ask him; he is of age; he shall speak for himself.22 These things said his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man should confess him to be Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.23 Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.24 So they called a second time the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is a sinner.25 He therefore answered, Whether he is a sinner, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.26 They said therefore unto him, What did he to thee? How opened he thine eyes?27 He answered them, I told you even now, and ye did not hear; wherefore would ye hear it again? would ye also become his disciples?28 And they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are disciples of Moses.29 We know that God hath spoken unto Moses: but as for this man, we know not whence he is.30 The man answered and said unto them, Why, herein is the marvel, that ye know not whence he is, and yet he opened mine eyes.31 We know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and do his will, him he heareth.32 Since the world began it was never heard that any one opened the eyes of a man born blind.33 If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and finding him, he said, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?36 He answered and said, And who is he, Lord, that I may believe on him?37 Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and he it is that speaketh with thee.38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.39 And Jesus said, For judgment came I into this world, that they that see not may see; and that they that see may become blind.40 Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said unto him, Are we also blind?41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye would have no sin: but now ye say, We see: your sin remaineth.
