第19章

1 次にシメオンのため、すなわちシメオンの子孫の部族のために、その家族にしたがって、くじを引いた。その嗣業はユダの子孫の嗣業のうちにあった。2 その嗣業として獲たものは、ベエルシバ、すなわちシバ、モラダ、3 ハザル・シュアル、バラ、エゼム、4 エルトラデ、ベトル、ホルマ、5 チクラグ、ベテ・マルカボテ、ハザルスサ、6 ベテレバオテ、シャルヘン。すなわち十三の町々と、それに属する村々。7 またアイン、リンモン、エテル、アシャン。すなわち四つの町々と、それに属する村々。8 およびこれらの町の周囲にあって、バアラテ・ベエル、すなわちネゲブのラマに至るまでのすべての村々。これがシメオンの子孫の部族の、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業である。9 シメオンの子孫の嗣業は、ユダの子孫の領域のうちにあった。これはユダの子孫の分が大きかったので、シメオンの子孫が、その嗣業を彼らの嗣業の中に獲たからである。10 第三にゼブルンの子孫のために、その家族にしたがって、くじを引いた。その嗣業の領域はサリデに及び、11 その境は西に上って、マララに至り、ダバセテに達し、ヨクネアムの東にある川に達し、12 サリデから、東の方、日の出の方に曲り、キスロテ・タボルの境に至り、ダベラテに出て、ヤピアに上り、13 そこから東の方、日の出の方に進んで、ガテヘペルとイッタ・カジンに至り、リンモンに進んで、ネアの方に曲る。14 北ではその境はハンナトンに回り、イフタエルの谷に至って尽きる。15 そしてカッタテ、ナハラル、シムロン、イダラ、ベツレヘムなど十二の町々と、それに属する村々があった。16 これがゼブルンの子孫の、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業であって、その町々と、それに属する村々とである。17 第四にイッサカル、すなわちイッサカルの子孫のために、その家族にしたがって、くじを引いた。18 その領域には、エズレル、ケスロテ、シュネム、19 ハパライム、シオン、アナハラテ、20 ラビテ、キション、エベツ、21 レメテ、エンガンニム、エンハダ、ベテパッゼズがあり、22 その境はタボル、シャハヂマ、ベテシメシに達し、その境はヨルダンに至って尽きる。十六の町々と、それに属する村々があった。23 これがイッサカルの子孫の部族の、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業であって、その町々と、それに属する村々とである。24 第五に、アセルの子孫の部族のために、その家族にしたがって、くじを引いた。25 その領域には、ヘルカテ、ハリ、ベテン、アクサフ、26 アランメレク、アマデ、ミシャルがあり、その境は西では、カルメルとシホル・リブナテに達し、27 それから東に折れて、ベテダゴンに至り、北の方ゼブルンと、イプタエルの谷に達し、ベテエメクおよびネイエルに至り、北はカブルにいで、28 更にエブロン、レホブ、ハンモン、カナを経て、大シドンに及び、29 それから、その境はラマに曲り、堅固な町ツロに至る。またその境はホサに曲り、海に至って尽きる。そして、マハラブ、アクジブ、30 ウンマ、アペク、レホブなど、二十二の町々と、それに属する村々があった。31 これがアセルの子孫の部族の、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業であって、その町々と、それに属する村々とである。32 第六に、ナフタリの子孫のために、その家族にしたがって、くじを引いた。33 その境はヘレフから、すなわちザアナニイムのかしの木から起り、アダミ・ネケブおよび、ヤブネルを経て、ラクムに至り、ヨルダンに至って尽きる。34 そしてその境は西に向かって、アズノテ・タボルに至り、そこからホッコクに出る。南はゼブルンに接し、西はアセルに接し、東はヨルダンのユダに達する。35 その堅固な町々は、ヂデム、ゼル、ハンマテ、ラッカテ、キンネレテ、　　　　36 アダマ、ラマ、ハゾル、37 ケデシ、エデレイ、エンハゾル、38 イロン、ミグダルエル、ホレム、ベテアナテ、ベテシメシなどで、十九の町々と、それに属する村々があった。39 これがナフタリの子孫の部族が、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業であって、その町々と、それに属する村々とである。40 第七に、ダンの子孫の部族のために、その家族にしたがって、くじを引いた。41 その嗣業の領域には、ゾラ、エシタオル、イルシメシ、　　42 シャラビム、アヤロン、イテラ、43 エロン、テムナ、エクロン、44 エルテケ、ギベトン、バアラテ、45 エホデ、ベネベラク、ガテリンモン、46 メヤルコン、ラッコン、およびヨッパと相対する地域があった。47 ただし、ダンの子孫の領域は、彼らのために小さかったので、ダンの子孫は、上って行き、レセムを攻めてそれを取り、つるぎにかけて撃ち滅ぼし、それを獲てそこに住み、先祖ダンの名にしたがって、レセムをダンと名づけた。48 これがダンの子孫の部族の、その家族にしたがって獲た嗣業であって、その町々と、それに属する村々とである。49 こうして国の各地域を嗣業として分け与えることを終ったとき、イスラエルの人々は、自分たちのうちに、一つの嗣業を、ヌンの子ヨシュアに与えた。50 すなわち、主の命に従って、彼が求めた町を与えたが、それはエフライムの山地にあるテムナテ・セラであって、彼はその町を建てなおして、そこに住んだ。51 これらは、祭司エレアザル、ヌンの子ヨシュア、およびイスラエルの子孫の部族の族長たちが、シロにおいて会見の幕屋の入口で、主の前に、くじを引いて分け与えた嗣業である。こうして地を分けることを終った。

Joshua 19

Simeon’s Tribal Lands

1 The second lot belonged to the tribe of Simeon by its clans.t2 Their assigned land includedt Beer Sheba,s Moladah,3 Hazar Shual, Balah, Ezem,4 Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,5 Ziklag, Beth Marcaboth, Hazar Susah,6 Beth Lebaoth, and Sharuhen – a total of thirteen cities and their towns,7 Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan – a total of four cities and their towns,8 as well as all the towns around these cities as far as Baalath Beer (Ramah of the Negev). This was the land assigned to the tribe of Simeon by its clans.t

9 Simeon’s assigned land was taken from Judah’s allotted portion, for Judah’s territory was too large for them; so Simeon was assigned land within Judah.t

Zebulun’s Tribal Lands

10 The third lot belonged to the tribe of Zebulunt by its clans. The border of their territoryt extended to Sarid.11 Their border went up westward to Maralah and touched Dabbesheth and the valley neart Jokneam.12 From Sarid it turned eastwardt to the territory of Kisloth Tabor, extended to Daberath, and went up to Japhia.13 From there it crossed eastward to Gath Hepher and Eth Kazin and extended to Rimmon, turning toward Neah.14 It then turned on the north to Hannathon and ended at the Valley of Iphtah El.15 Their territory included Kattah, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem;s in all they had twelve cities and their towns.t

16 This was the land assigned to the tribe of Zebulunt by its clans, including these cities and their towns.

Issachar’s Tribal Lands

17 The fourth lot belonged to the tribe of Issachart by its clans.18 Their assigned landt included Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,19 Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,20 Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,21 Remeth, En Gannim, En Haddah and Beth Pazzez.22 Their border touched Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth Shemesh, and ended at the Jordan. They had sixteen cities and their towns.

23 This was the land assigned to the tribe of Issachart by its clans, including the cities and their towns.

Asher’s Tribal Lands

24 The fifth lot belonged to the tribe of Ashert by its clans.25 Their territory included Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,26 Alammelech, Amad, and Mishal. Their border touched Carmel to the west and Shihor Libnath.27 It turned eastward toward Beth Dagon, touched Zebulun and the Valley of Iphtah El to the north, as well as the Valley of Emek and Neiel, and extended to Cabul on the northt28 and on to Ebron,s Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, as far as Greater Sidon.s29 It then turned toward Ramah as far as the fortified city of Tyre,s turned to Hosah, and ended at the sea near Hebel, Aczib,30 Umah, Aphek, and Rehob. In all they hadt twenty-two cities and their towns.

31 This was the land assigned to the tribe of Ashert by its clans, including these cities and their towns.

Naphtali’s Tribal Lands

32 The sixth lot belonged to the tribe of Naphtalit by its clans.33 Their border started at Heleph and the oak of Zaanannim, went to Adami Nekeb, Jabneel and on to Lakkum,t and ended at the Jordan River.t34 It turned westward to Aznoth Tabor, extended from there to Hukok, touched Zebulun on the south, Asher on the west, and the Jordans on the east.35 The fortified cities included Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,36 Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,s37 Kedesh, Edrei, En Hazor,38 Yiron,s Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath, and Beth Shemesh. In all they hadt nineteen cities and their towns.

39 This was the land assigned to the tribe of Naphtalit by its clans, including the cities and their towns.

Dan’s Tribal Lands

40 The seventh lot belonged to the tribe of Dant by its clans.41 Their assigned land included Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir Shemesh,42 Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,43 Elon, Timnah, Ekron,44 Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,45 Jehud, Bene Berak, Gath Rimmon,46 the waters of Jarkon, and Rakkon, including the territory in front of Joppa.47 (The Danites failed to conquer their territory,t so they went up and fought with Leshem and captured it. They put the sword to it, took possession of it, and lived in it. They renamed itt Dan after their ancestor.t)

48 This was the land assigned to the tribe of Dant by its clans, including these cities and their towns.

Joshua Receives Land

49 When they finished dividing the land into its regions, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun some land.t

50 As the Lord had instructed, they gave him the city he requested – Timnath Serah in the Ephraimite hill country. He built up the city and lived in it.

51 These are the land assignments which Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the Israelite tribal leaderst made by drawing lots in Shiloh before the Lord at the entrance of the tent of meeting.ts So they finished dividing up the land.
