Leviticus 1

第1章

1 主はモーセを呼び、会見の幕屋からこれに告げて言われた、2 「イスラエルの人々に言いなさい、『あなたがたのうちだれでも家畜の供え物を主にささげるときは、牛または羊を供え物としてささげなければならない。3 もしその供え物が牛の燔祭であるならば、雄牛の全きものをささげなければならない。会見の幕屋の入口で、主の前に受け入れられるように、これをささげなければならない。4 彼はその燔祭の獣の頭に手を置かなければならない。そうすれば受け入れられて、彼のためにあがないとなるであろう。5 彼は主の前でその子牛をほふり、アロンの子なる祭司たちは、その血を携えてきて、会見の幕屋の入口にある祭壇の周囲に、その血を注ぎかけなければならない。6 彼はまたその燔祭の獣の皮をはぎ、節々に切り分かたなければならない。7 祭司アロンの子たちは祭壇の上に火を置き、その火の上にたきぎを並べ、8 アロンの子なる祭司たちはその切り分けたものを、頭および脂肪と共に、祭壇の上にある火の上のたきぎの上に並べなければならない。9 その内臓と足とは水で洗わなければならない。こうして祭司はそのすべてを祭壇の上で焼いて燔祭としなければならない。これは火祭であって、主にささげる香ばしいかおりである。10 もしその燔祭の供え物が群れの羊または、やぎであるならば、雄の全きものをささげなければならない。11 彼は祭壇の北側で、主の前にこれをほふり、アロンの子なる祭司たちは、その血を祭壇の周囲に注ぎかけなければならない。12 彼はまたこれを節々に切り分かち、祭司はこれを頭および脂肪と共に、祭壇の上にある火の上のたきぎの上に並べなければならない。13 その内臓と足とは水で洗わなければならない。こうして祭司はそのすべてを祭壇の上で焼いて燔祭としなければならない。これは火祭であって、主にささげる香ばしいかおりである。14 もし主にささげる供え物が、鳥の燔祭であるならば、山ばと、または家ばとのひなを、その供え物としてささげなければならない。15 祭司はこれを祭壇に携えて行き、その首を摘み破り、祭壇の上で焼かなければならない。その血は絞り出して祭壇の側面に塗らなければならない。16 またその餌袋は羽と共に除いて、祭壇の東の方にある灰捨場に捨てなければならない。17 これは、その翼を握って裂かなければならない。ただし引き離してはならない。祭司はこれを祭壇の上で、火の上のたきぎの上で燔祭として焼かなければならない。これは火祭であって、主にささげる香ばしいかおりである。

Introduction to the Sacrificial Regulations

1 Then the Lord called to Moses and spoke to himts from the Meeting Tent:s

2 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘Whents someonet among you presents an offeringt to the Lord,t yout must present your offering from the domesticated animals, either from the herd or from the flock.ts

Burnt Offering Regulations: Animal from the Herd

3 “‘If his offering is a burnt offerings from the herd he must present it as a flawless male; he must present it at the entrancet of the Meeting Tent for itst acceptance before the Lord.4 He must lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted for him to make atonementt on his behalf.5 Then the one presenting the offeringt must slaughter the bullt before the Lord, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, must present the blood and splasht the blood against the sides of the altar which is at the entrance of the Meeting Tent.6 Next, the one presenting the offeringt must skin the burnt offering and cut it into parts,7 and the sons of Aaron, the priest,s must put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.8 Then the sons of Aaron, the priests, must arrange the parts with the head and the suetss on the wood that is in the fire on the altar.t

9 Finally, the one presenting the offeringt must wash its entrails and its legs in water and the priest must offer all of it up in smoke on the altart – it iss a burnt offering, a gifts of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

Animal from the Flock

10 “‘If his offering is from the flock for a burnt offeringt – from the sheep or the goats – he must present a flawless male,11 and must slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the Lord, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, will splash its blood against the altar’s sides.12 Next, the one presenting the offeringt must cut it into parts, with its head and its suet, and the priest must arrange them on the wood which is in the fire, on the altar.

13 Then the one presenting the offering must wash the entrails and the legs in water, and the priest must present all of it and offer it up in smoke on the altar – it is a burnt offering, a gift of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

From the Birds

14 “‘If his offering to the Lord is a burnt offering from the birds,t he must present his offering from the turtledoves or from the young pigeons.t15 The priest must present it at the altar, pinch offt its head and offer the headt up in smoke on the altar, and its blood must be drained out against the side of the altar.16 Then the priestt must remove its entrails by cutting off its tail feathers,t and throw themt to the east side of the altar into the place of fatty ashes,

17 and tear it open by its wings without dividing it into two parts.t Finally, the priest must offer it up in smoke on the altar on the wood which is in the fire – it is a burnt offering, a gift of a soothing aroma to the Lord.
