La Ley de los Holocaustos
1 El Señor llamó a Moisés y le habló desde la tienda de reunión:2 "Di a los Israelitas: 'Cuando alguien de ustedes traiga una ofrenda al Señor, traerán su ofrenda de animales del ganado o del rebaño.3 Si su ofrenda es un holocausto (ofrenda encendida) del ganado, ofrecerá un macho sin defecto; lo ofrecerá a la entrada de la tienda de reunión, para que sea aceptado delante del Señor.4 Pondrá su mano sobre la cabeza del holocausto, y le será aceptado para expiación suya.
5 Entonces degollará el novillo delante del Señor; y los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón ofrecerán la sangre y la rociarán por todos los lados sobre el altar que está a la entrada de la tienda de reunión.
6 'Después desollará el holocausto y lo cortará en pedazos.7 Y los hijos del sacerdote Aarón pondrán fuego en el altar, y colocarán leña sobre el fuego.8 Luego los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón arreglarán los pedazos, la cabeza y el sebo sobre la leña que está en el fuego sobre el altar.
9 El que presenta el holocausto lavará las entrañas y las patas con agua, y el sacerdote lo quemará todo sobre el altar como holocausto. Es una ofrenda encendida de aroma agradable para el Señor.
10 'Pero si su ofrenda para holocausto es del rebaño, de los corderos o de las cabras, ofrecerá un macho sin defecto.11 Lo degollará al lado norte del altar, delante del Señor; y los sacerdotes hijos de Aarón rociarán la sangre sobre el altar, por todos los lados.12 Después lo cortará en pedazos, con su cabeza y el sebo, y el sacerdote los colocará sobre la leña que está en el fuego sobre el altar.
13 Las entrañas y las patas las lavará con agua, y el sacerdote lo ofrecerá todo, quemándolo sobre el altar. Es un holocausto, una ofrenda encendida de aroma agradable para el Señor.
14 'Pero si su ofrenda para el Señor es un holocausto de aves, entonces traerá su ofrenda de tórtolas o de pichones.15 Y el sacerdote la traerá al altar, le quitará la cabeza y la quemará sobre el altar; y su sangre será exprimida sobre el costado del altar.16 Le quitará también el buche con sus plumas y lo echará junto al altar, hacia el oriente, en el lugar de las cenizas.17 La partirá después por las alas, sin dividir la . Entonces el sacerdote la quemará en el altar, sobre la leña que está en el fuego. Es un holocausto, una ofrenda encendida de aroma agradable para el Señor.

Introduction to the Sacrificial Regulations
1 Then the Lord called to Moses and spoke to himts from the Meeting Tent:s
2 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘Whents someonet among you presents an offeringt to the Lord,t yout must present your offering from the domesticated animals, either from the herd or from the flock.ts
Burnt Offering Regulations: Animal from the Herd
3 “‘If his offering is a burnt offerings from the herd he must present it as a flawless male; he must present it at the entrancet of the Meeting Tent for itst acceptance before the Lord.4 He must lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted for him to make atonementt on his behalf.5 Then the one presenting the offeringt must slaughter the bullt before the Lord, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, must present the blood and splasht the blood against the sides of the altar which is at the entrance of the Meeting Tent.6 Next, the one presenting the offeringt must skin the burnt offering and cut it into parts,7 and the sons of Aaron, the priest,s must put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.8 Then the sons of Aaron, the priests, must arrange the parts with the head and the suetss on the wood that is in the fire on the altar.t
9 Finally, the one presenting the offeringt must wash its entrails and its legs in water and the priest must offer all of it up in smoke on the altart – it iss a burnt offering, a gifts of a soothing aroma to the Lord.
Animal from the Flock
10 “‘If his offering is from the flock for a burnt offeringt – from the sheep or the goats – he must present a flawless male,11 and must slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the Lord, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, will splash its blood against the altar’s sides.12 Next, the one presenting the offeringt must cut it into parts, with its head and its suet, and the priest must arrange them on the wood which is in the fire, on the altar.
13 Then the one presenting the offering must wash the entrails and the legs in water, and the priest must present all of it and offer it up in smoke on the altar – it is a burnt offering, a gift of a soothing aroma to the Lord.
From the Birds
14 “‘If his offering to the Lord is a burnt offering from the birds,t he must present his offering from the turtledoves or from the young pigeons.t15 The priest must present it at the altar, pinch offt its head and offer the headt up in smoke on the altar, and its blood must be drained out against the side of the altar.16 Then the priestt must remove its entrails by cutting off its tail feathers,t and throw themt to the east side of the altar into the place of fatty ashes,
17 and tear it open by its wings without dividing it into two parts.t Finally, the priest must offer it up in smoke on the altar on the wood which is in the fire – it is a burnt offering, a gift of a soothing aroma to the Lord.
