Relaciones sexuales ilícitas

1 El Señor le ordenó a Moisés 2 que les dijera a los israelitas: «Yo soy el Señor su Dios. 3 No imitarán ustedes las costumbres de Egipto, donde antes habitaban, ni tampoco las de Canaán, adonde los llevo. No se conducirán según sus estatutos, 4 sino que pondrán en práctica mis preceptos y observarán atentamente mis leyes. Yo soy el Señor su Dios. 5 Observen mis estatutos y mis preceptos, pues todo el que los practique vivirá por ellos. Yo soy el Señor.

Relaciones no permitidas

6 »Nadie se acercará a ningún pariente cercano para tener relaciones sexuales con él o con ella. Yo soy el Señor.
7 »No deshonrarás a tu padre, teniendo relaciones sexuales con tu madre. No lo hagas, porque es tu madre.
8 »No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la esposa de tu padre, porque sería como tenerlas con él.
9 »No tendrás relaciones sexuales con tu hermana por parte de padre o de madre, ya sea nacida en la misma casa o en otro lugar.
10 »No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la hija de tu hijo, ni con la hija de tu hija, porque sería deshonrarte a ti mismo.
11 »No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la hija que tu padre haya tenido con su mujer. No la deshonres, porque es tu hermana.
12 »No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la hermana de tu padre, porque sería como tenerlas con tu padre.
13 »No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la hermana de tu madre, porque sería como tenerlas con tu madre.
14 »No deshonrarás al hermano de tu padre, teniendo relaciones sexuales con su mujer, porque es tu tía.
15 »No tendrás relaciones sexuales con tu nuera. No las tendrás, porque sería como tenerlas con tu hijo.
16 »No tendrás relaciones sexuales con la mujer de tu hermano, porque sería como tenerlas con él mismo.
17 »No tendrás relaciones sexuales con dos mujeres que sean madre e hija, ni con las nietas de ellas, ya sea por parte de un hijo o de una hija de las mismas. Son parientes cercanas, de modo que eso sería una perversión.
18 »No te casarás con la hermana de tu esposa, ni tendrás relaciones sexuales con ella mientras tu esposa viva, para no crear rivalidades entre ellas.

Otras relaciones ilícitas

19 »No tendrás relaciones sexuales con ninguna mujer durante su período de *impureza menstrual.
20 »No tendrás trato sexual con la mujer de tu prójimo, para que no te hagas impuro por causa de ella.
21 »No profanarás el *nombre de tu Dios, entregando a tus hijos para que sean quemados como sacrificio a Moloc. Yo soy el Señor.
22 »No te acostarás con un hombre como quien se acuesta con una mujer. Eso es una abominación.
23 »No tendrás trato sexual con ningún animal. No te hagas impuro por causa de él.
»Ninguna mujer tendrá trato sexual con ningún animal. Eso es una depravación. 24 »No se *contaminen con estas prácticas, porque así se contaminaron las naciones que por amor a ustedes estoy por arrojar, 25 y aun la tierra misma se contaminó. Por eso la castigué por su perversidad, y ella vomitó a sus habitantes. 26 Ustedes obedezcan mis estatutos y preceptos. Ni los nativos ni los extranjeros que vivan entre ustedes deben practicar ninguna de estas abominaciones, 27 pues las practicaron los que vivían en esta tierra antes que ustedes, y la tierra se contaminó. 28 Si ustedes contaminan la tierra, ella los vomitará como vomitó a las naciones que la habitaron antes que ustedes.
29 »Cualquiera que practique alguna de estas abominaciones será eliminado de su pueblo. 30 Ustedes observen mis mandamientos y absténganse de seguir las abominables costumbres que se practicaban en la tierra antes de que ustedes llegaran. No se contaminen por causa de ellas. Yo soy el Señor su Dios.»

LEVITICUS 18

Forbidden Sex

1 The [Lord] told Moses

2 to tell the people of Israel:
I am the [Lord] your God! 3 So don't follow the customs of Egypt where you used to live or those of Canaan where I am bringing you. 4 I am the [Lord] your God, and you must obey my teachings.

5 t Obey them and you will live. I am the [Lord].
6 Don't have sex with any of your close relatives, 7 especially your own mother. This would disgrace your father. 8 t And don't disgrace him by having sex with any of his other wives. 9 t Don't have sex with your sister or stepsister, whether you grew up together or not. 10 Don't disgrace yourself by having sex with your granddaughter 11 or half sister 12-13 t or a sister of your father or mother. 14 Don't disgrace your uncle by having sex with his wife. 15 t Don't have sex with your daughter-in-law 16 t or sister-in-law. 17 t And don't have sex with the daughter or granddaughter of any woman that you have earlier had sex with. You will be having sex with her closest relatives, and that would make you unclean.

18 As long as your wife is alive, don't cause trouble for her by taking one of her sisters as a second wife.

19  t When a woman is having her monthly period, she is unclean, so don't have sex with her.

20  t Don't have sex with another man's wife—that would make you unclean.

21  t Don't sacrifice your children on the altar fires to the god Molech. I am the [Lord] your God, and that would disgrace me.

22  t It is disgusting for a man to have sex with another man.

23  t Anyone who has sex with an animal is unclean.
24 Don't make yourselves unclean by any of these disgusting practices of those nations that I am forcing out of the land for you. They made themselves 25 and the land so unclean, that I punished the land because of their sins, and I made it vomit them up. 26-27 Now don't do these sickening things that make the land filthy. Instead, obey my laws and teachings. 28 Then the land won't become sick of you and vomit you up, just as it did them. 29-30 If any of you do these vulgar, disgusting things, you will be unclean and no longer belong to my people. I am the [Lord] your God, and I forbid you to follow their sickening way of life.
