Leviticus 9

1 Stalo se pak dne osmého, povolal Mojžíš Arona a synů jeho i starších Izraelských.2 I řekl Aronovi: Vezmi sobě tele k oběti za hřích, a skopce k oběti zápalné, obé bez poškvrny, a obětuj před Hospodinem.3 K synům pak Izraelským mluviti budeš, řka: Vezměte kozla k oběti za hřích, a tele a beránka, roční, bez vady, k oběti zápalné,4 Vola také a skopce k oběti pokojné, abyste obětovali před Hospodinem, a obět suchou zadělanou olejem; nebo dnes se vám ukáže Hospodin.

5 Tedy vzali ty věci, kteréž přikázal Mojžíš před stánkem úmluvy, a přistoupivši všecko shromáždění, stáli před Hospodinem.6 I řekl Mojžíš: Toto jest ta věc, kterouž přikázal Hospodin. Vykonejtež ji, a ukáže se vám sláva Hospodinova.7 Aronovi pak řekl Mojžíš: Přistup k oltáři a obětuj obět za hřích svůj, a obět zápalnou svou k vykonání očištění za sebe i za lid tento; obětuj také obět lidu všeho, a učiň očištění za ně, jakož přikázal Hospodin.

8 Přistoupiv tedy Aron k oltáři, zabil tele své k oběti za hřích.9 I dali mu synové Aronovi krev. Kterýžto omočiv prst svůj ve krvi, pomazal rohů oltáře, ostatek pak krve vylil k spodku oltáře.10 Ale tuk a ledvinky, i branici s jater té oběti za hřích pálil na oltáři, jakož byl přikázal Hospodin Mojžíšovi.11 Maso pak s kůží spálil vně za stany.12 Zabil také obět zápalnou. I podali mu synové Aronovi krve, kterouž pokropil po vrchu oltáře vůkol.13 Podali jemu také i oběti zápalné s kusy jejími i hlavy její, a pálil ji na oltáři.14 A vymyv střeva i nohy její, pálil je s obětí zápalnou na oltáři.

15 Obětoval také obět všeho lidu. A vzav kozla oběti za hřích, kterýž byl všeho lidu, zabil jej a obětoval ho za hřích jako i prvního.16 Obětoval též obět zápalnou a učinil ji vedlé obyčeje.17 Tolikéž i obět suchou obětoval, a vzav plnou hrst z ní, pálil to na oltáři, mimo obět zápalnou jitřní.18 Zabil ještě i vola a skopce k oběti pokojné, kteráž byla za lid. I podali mu synové Aronovi krve, kterouž pokropil oltáře po vrchu vůkol.19 Dali jemu také tuk z vola a z skopce ocas, a tuk přikrývající střeva i ledvinky a branici s jater.20 A položili včecken tuk na hrudí; i pálil ten tuk na oltáři.21 Hrudí pak a plece pravé obracel sem i tam Aron v obět obracení před Hospodinem, jakož byl přikázal Mojžíšovi.22 Potom Aron pozdvihna rukou svých k lidu, dal jim požehnání, a sstoupil od obětování oběti za hřích a oběti zápalné i oběti pokojné.

23 Tedy všel Mojžíš s Aronem do stánku úmluvy; a když vycházeli z něho, požehnání dávali lidu. I ukázala se sláva Hospodinova všemu lidu.24 Nebo sstoupil oheň od tváři Hospodina, a spálil na oltáři obět zápalnou i všecken tuk. Což když uzřel veškeren lid, zkřikli a padli na tváři své.

Leviticus 9

Inauguration of Tabernacle Worship

1 On the eighth days Moses summonedt Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel,2 and said to Aaron, “Take for yourself a bull calf for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both flawless, and present them before the Lord.3 Then tell the Israelites: ‘Take a male goatt for a sin offering and a calf and lamb, both a year old and flawless,t for a burnt offering,4 and an ox and a ram for peace offerings to sacrifice before the Lord, and a grain offering mixed with olive oil, for today the Lord is going to appeart to you.’”5 So they took what Moses had commanded to the front oft the Meeting Tent and the whole congregation presented them and stood before the Lord.6 Then Moses said, “This is what the Lord has commanded you to dot so that the glory of the Lord may appeart to you.”

7 Moses then said to Aaron, “Approach the altar and make your sin offering and your burnt offering, and make atonement on behalf of yourself and on behalf of the people;t and also make the people’s offering and make atonement on behalf of them just as the Lord has commanded.”

The Sin Offering for the Priests

8 So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the sin offering calf which was for himself.9 Then Aaron’s sons presented the blood to him and he dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar, and the rest of the blood he poured out at the base of the altar.10 The fat and the kidneys and the protruding lobe oft the liver from the sin offering he offered up in smoke on the altar just as the Lord had commanded Moses,

11 but the flesh and the hide he completely burned upt outside the camp.s

The Burnt Offering for the Priests

12 He then slaughtered the burnt offering, and his sonst handedt the blood to him and he splashedt it against the altar’s sides.13 The burnt offering itself they handedt to him by its parts, including the head,t and he offered them up in smoke on the altar,

14 and he washed the entrails and the legs and offered them up in smoke on top of the burnt offering on the altar.

The Offerings for the People

15 Then he presented the people’s offering. He took the sin offering male goat which was for the people, slaughtered it, and performed a decontamination rite with itt like the first one.s16 He then presented the burnt offering, and did it according to the standard regulation.t17 Next he presented the grain offering, filled his hand with some of it, and offered it up in smoke on the altar in addition to the morning burnt offering.s18 Then he slaughtered the ox and the ram – the peace offering sacrifices which were for the people – and Aaron’s sons handedt the blood to him and he splashed it against the altar’s sides.19 As for the fat parts from the ox and from the ramt (the fatty tail, the fat covering the entrails,t the kidneys, and the protruding lobe of the liver),20 theyt set those on the breasts and he offered the fat parts up in smoke on the altar.

21 Finally Aaron waved the breasts and the right thigh as a wave offering before the Lord just as Moses had commanded.
22 Then Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them and descended from making the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offering.23 Moses and Aaron then entered into the Meeting Tent. When they came out, they blessed the people, and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people.

24 Then fire went out from the presence of the Lordt and consumed the burnt offering and the fat parts on the altar, and all the people saw it, so they shouted loudly and fell down with their faces to the ground.t
