Lukáš 10

1 Potom pak vyvolil Pán i jiných sedmdesát, a poslal je po dvou před tváří svou do každého města i místa, kamž měl sám přijíti.2 A pravil jim: Žeň zajisté jest mnohá, ale dělníků málo. Protož proste Pána žni, ať vypudí dělníky na žeň svou.3 Jdětež. Aj, já posílám vás jako berany mezi vlky.4 Nenostež s sebou pytlíka, ani mošny, ani obuvi, a žádného na cestě nepozdravujte.5 A do kteréhožkoli domu vejdete, nejprve rcete: Pokoj tomuto domu.6 A bude-liť tu který syn pokoje, odpočineť na něm pokoj váš; pakli nic, k vámť se navrátí.7 A v témž domu ostaňte, jedouce a pijíce, což u nich jest. Nebo hoden jest dělník mzdy své. Nechoďtež z domu do domu.8 Ale do kteréhožkoli města vešli byste a přijali by vás, jezte, což před vás předloží.9 A uzdravujte nemocné, kteříž by v něm byli, a rcete jim: Přiblížiloť se k vám království Boží.10 A do kteréhožkoli města vešli byste, a nepřijali by vás, vyjdouce na ulice jeho, rcetež:11 Také i ten prach, kterýž se přichytil nás z města vašeho, vyrážíme na vás. Ale však to vězte, žeť se jest přiblížilo k vám království Boží.12 Pravím zajisté vám, že Sodomským v onen den lehčeji bude nežli tomu městu.13 Běda tobě Korozaim, běda tobě Betsaido. Nebo kdyby v Týru a v Sidonu činěni byli divové ti, kteříž v vás činěni jsou, dávno by v žíni a v popele sedíce, pokání činili.14 A protož Týru a Sidonu lehčeji bude na soudu nežli vám.15 A ty Kafarnaum, které jsi až do nebe zvýšeno, až do pekla sníženo budeš.16 Kdož vás slyší, mne slyší; a kdo vámi pohrdá, mnou pohrdá; kdož pak mnou pohrdá, pohrdáť tím, kdož mne poslal.

17 Potom navrátilo se s radostí těch sedmdesáte, řkouce: Pane, také i ďáblové se nám poddávají ve jménu tvém.18 I řekl jim: Viděl jsem satana jako blesk padajícího s nebe.19 Aj, dávámť vám moc šlapati na hady a na štíry i na všelikou moc nepřítele, a nic vám neuškodí.20 Avšak z toho se neradujte, žeť se vám poddávají duchové, ale raději se radujte, že jména vaše napsána jsou v nebesích.

21 V tu hodinu rozveselil se v duchu Ježíš, a řekl: Chválím tě, Otče, Pane nebe i země, že jsi tyto věci skryl před moudrými a opatrnými, a zjevils je maličkým. Ovšem, Otče, neb tak se líbilo před tebou.22 Všecky věci dány jsou mi od Otce mého, a žádný neví, kdo by byl Syn, jediné Otec, a kdo by byl Otec, jediné Syn, a komuž by chtěl Syn zjeviti.

23 A obrátiv se k učedlníkům obzvláštně, řekl: Blahoslavené oči, kteréž vidí, co vy vidíte.24 Nebo pravím vám, že mnozí proroci i králové chtěli viděti, což vy vidíte, a neviděli, a slyšeti, což vy slyšíte, a neslyšeli.

25 A aj, jeden zákoník vstal, pokoušeje ho, a řka: Mistře, co čině, život věčný dědičně obdržím?26 A on řekl k němu: V Zákoně co jest psáno? Kterak čteš?27 A on odpověděv, řekl: Milovati budeš Pána Boha svého ze všeho srdce svého, a ze vší duše své, a ze vší síly své, i ze vší mysli své, a bližního svého jako sebe samého.28 I řekl mu Ježíš: Právě jsi odpověděl. To čiň, a živ budeš.29 On pak chtěje se sám ospravedlniti, dí Ježíšovi: A kdo jest můj bližní?30 I odpověděv Ježíš, řekl: Člověk jeden šel z Jeruzaléma do Jericho, i upadl mezi lotry. Kteříž obloupivše jej a zranivše, odešli, odpolu živého nechavše.31 I přihodilo se, že kněz jeden šel touž cestou, a uzřev jej, pominul.32 Též i Levíta až k tomu místu přišed, a uzřev jej, pominul.33 Samaritán pak jeden, cestou se bera, přišel až k němu, a uzřev jej, milosrdenstvím hnut jest.34 A přistoupě, uvázal rány jeho, naliv oleje a vína, a vloživ jej na hovado své, vedl do hospody, a péči o něj měl.35 Druhého pak dne odjíti maje, vyňav dva peníze, dal hospodáři, a řekl: Měj o něj péči, a cožkoli nad to vynaložíš, já když se vrátím, zaplatím tobě.36 Kdo tedy z těch tří zdá se tobě bližním býti tomu, kterýž upadl mezi lotry?37 A on řekl: Ten, kterýž učinil milosrdenství nad ním. I řekl jemu Ježíš: Jdi, i ty učiň též.

38 I stalo se, když šli, že on všel do jednoho městečka. Žena pak jedna, jménem Marta, přijala jej do domu svého.39 A ta měla sestru, jménem Mariji, kterážto seděci u noh Ježíšových, poslouchala slova jeho.40 Ale Marta pečliva byla při mnohé službě Pánu. Kterážto přistoupivši, řekla: Pane, nemáš-liž o to péče, že sestra má nechala mne samé sloužiti? Protož rci jí, ať mi pomůž.41 A odpověděv, řekl jí Ježíš: Marta, Marta, pečlivá jsi, a rmoutíš se při mnohých věcech.42 Ale jednohoť jest potřebí. Mariať dobrou stránku vyvolila, kterážto nebude odjata od ní.

Luke 10

The Mission of the Seventy-Two

1 After thist the Lord appointed seventy-twos others and sent them on ahead of him two by two into every townt and place where he himself was about to go.2 Het said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvests to send outt workers into his harvest.3 Go! It am sending you out like lambss surrounded by wolves.s4 Do not carrys a money bag,t a traveler’s bag,t or sandals, and greet no one on the road.t5 Whenevert you enter a house,t first say, ‘May peaces be on this house!’6 And if a peace-loving persont is there, your peace will remain on him, but if not, it will return to you.s7 Stayt in that same house, eating and drinking what they give you,t for the worker deserves his pay.s Do not move around from house to house.8 Whenevert you enter a townt and the peoplet welcome you, eat what is set before you.9 Healts the sick in that townt and say to them, ‘The kingdom of Gods has come upont you!’10 But whenevert you enter a townt and the peoplet do not welcomes you, go into its streetst and say,11 ‘Even the dust of your townt that clings to our feet we wipe offs against you.t Nevertheless know this: The kingdom of God has come.’t

12 I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodoms than for that town!t
13 “Woe to you, Chorazin!s Woe to you, Bethsaida! For ift the miraclest done in you had been done in Tyres and Sidon,ss they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you!

15 And you, Capernaum,ss will you be exalted to heaven?t No, you will be thrown down to Hades!s

16 “The one who listenst to you listens to me,s and the one who rejects you rejects me, and the one who rejects me rejectst the one who sent me.”s
17 Thent the seventy-twoss returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit tot us in your name!”t18 Sot he said to them, “I sawt Satan fallt like lightningt from heaven.19 Look, I have given you authority to treadt on snakes and scorpionss and on the full force of the enemy,ts and nothing willt hurt you.

20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice thatt the spirits submit to you, but rejoicet that your names stand writtent in heaven.”
21 On that same occasiont Jesust rejoiceds in the Holy Spirit and said, “I praiset you, Father, Lords of heaven and earth, becauset you have hidden these things from the wises and intelligent, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will.t

22 All things have been given to me by my Father.s No one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decidest to reveal him.”
23 Thent Jesust turnedt to hist disciples and said privately, “Blesseds are the eyes that see what you see!

24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings longed to sees what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 Nowt an expert in religious lawt stood up to test Jesus,t saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”s26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you understand it?”t27 The expertt answered, “Lovetthe Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,s and love your neighbor as yourself.”t

28 Jesust said to him, “You have answered correctly;s do this, and you will live.”
29 But the expert,t wanting to justifyts himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”30 Jesus replied,t “A man was going downs from Jerusalems to Jericho,s and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beatt him up, and went off, leaving him half dead.s31 Now by chances a priest was going down that road, butt when he saw the injured mant he passed bys on the other side.s32 So too a Levite, when he came up tot the place and saw him,t passed by on the other side.33 Butt a Samaritant who was travelingt came to where the injured mant was, and when he saw him, he felt compassion for him.ts34 Het went up to himt and bandaged his wounds, pouring oils and wine on them. Thent he put him ont his own animal,s brought him to an inn, and took care of him.35 Thet next day he took out two silver coinsts and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever else you spend, I will repay you when I come back this way.’t36 Which of these three do you think became a neighbors to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?”

37 The expert in religious lawt said, “The one who showed mercys to him.” Sot Jesus said to him, “Go and dot the same.”

Jesus and Martha

38 Now as they went on their way, Jesust entered a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him as a guest.st39 Shet had a sister named Mary, who satt at the Lord’s feets and listened to what he said.40 But Martha was distracteds with all the preparations she had to make,t sot she came up to him and said, “Lord, don’t you caret that my sister has left me to do all the workt alone? Tellt her to help me.”41 But the Lords answered her,t “Martha, Martha,s you are worried and troubledt about many things,

42 but one things is needed. Mary has chosen the bestt part; it will not be taken away from her.”
