LUCAS 10

Los setenta y dos enviados

1 Después de esto escogió también el Señor a otros setenta y dos,t y los mandó delante de él, de dos en dos, a todos los pueblos y lugares a donde tenía que ir.
2 Les dijo: “Ciertamente la mies es mucha, pero los obreros son pocos. Por eso, pedidle al Dueño de la mies que mande obreros a recogerla.t 3 Andad y ved que os envío como a corderos en medio de lobos.t 4 No llevéis bolsa ni monedero ni sandalias, y no os detengáis a saludar a nadie en el camino.t 5 Cuando entréis en una casa, saludad primero diciendo: ‘Pazt a esta casa.’ 6 Si en ella hay gente de paz, vuestro deseo de paz se cumplirá; si no, no se cumplirá. 7 Y quedaos en la misma casa, comiendo y bebiendo lo que tengan, pues el obrero tiene derecho a su salario.t No andéis de casa en casa. 8 Al llegar a un pueblo donde os reciban bien, comed lo que os ofrezcan; 9 y sanad a los enfermos del lugar y decidles: ‘El reino de Dios ya está cerca de vosotros.’ 10 Pero si llegáis a un pueblo y no os reciben, salid a las calles diciendo: 11 ‘¡Hasta el polvo de vuestro pueblo que se ha pegado a nuestros pies nos lo sacudimos en protesta contra vosotros!t Pero sabed que el reino de Dios está cerca.’

12 Os digo que, en aquel día, el castigo de ese pueblo será más duro que el de los habitantes de Sodoma.t

Reproches contra las ciudades incrédulas

(Mt 11.20-24)

15 Y tú, Cafarnaún, ¿crees que serás levantada hasta el cielo? ¡Hasta lo más hondo del abismo serás arrojada!t

16 “El que os escucha a vosotros me escucha a mí,t y el que os rechaza a vosotros me rechaza a mí; y el que a mí me rechaza, rechaza al que me envió.”

El regreso de los setenta y dos

17 Los setenta y dost regresaron muy contentos, diciendo:
–¡Señor, hasta los demonios nos obedecen en tu nombre!

18 Jesús les dijo:
–Sí, pues yo veía a Satanás caer del cielo como un rayo.t 19 Os he dado poder para que pisoteéis serpientes y alacranes,t y para que triunféis sobre toda la fuerza del enemigo sin sufrir ningún daño.

20 Pero no os alegréis de que los espíritus os obedezcan, sino de que vuestros nombres ya estén escritos en el cielo.t

Sólo el Hijo sabe quién es el Padre

(Mt 11.25-27; 13.16-17)

21 En aquel momento, Jesús, lleno de alegría por el Espíritu Santo, dijo: “Te alabo, Padre, Señor del cielo y de la tierra, porque has mostrado a los sencillos las cosas que ocultaste a los sabios y entendidos. Sí, Padre, porque así lo has querido.t

22 “Mi Padre me ha entregado todas las cosas.t Nadie sabe quién es el Hijo, sino el Padre; y nadie sabe quién es el Padre, sino el Hijo y aquellos a quienes el Hijo quiera darlo a conocer.”t
23 Volviéndose a los discípulos les dijo aparte: “Dichosos quienes vean lo que estáis viendo vosotros,

24 porque os digo que muchos profetas y reyes desearon ver lo que vosotros veis, y no lo vieron; desearon oir lo que vosotros oís, y no lo oyeron.”t

Parábola del buen samaritano

25 Un maestro de la ley fue a hablar con Jesús, y para ponerle a prueba le preguntó:
–Maestro, ¿qué debo hacer para alcanzar la vida eterna?t

26 Jesús le contestó:
–¿Qué está escrito en la ley? ¿Qué lees en ella?

27 El maestro de la ley respondió:
–‘Ama al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma, con todas tus fuerzas y con toda tu mente;t y ama a tu prójimo como a ti mismo.’t

28 Jesús le dijo:
–Bien contestado. Haz eso y tendrás la vida.t

29 Pero el maestro de la ley, queriendo justificar su pregunta, dijo a Jesús:
–¿Y quién es mi prójimo?t

30 Jesús le respondió:
–Un hombre que bajaba por el camino de Jerusalén a Jericót fue asaltado por unos bandidos. Le quitaron hasta la ropa que llevaba puesta, le golpearon y se fueron dejándolo medio muerto. 31 Casualmente pasó un sacerdote por aquel mismo camino, pero al ver al herido dio un rodeo y siguió adelante. 32 Luego pasó por allí un levita,t que al verlo dio también un rodeo y siguió adelante. 33 Finalmente, un hombre de Samaria que viajaba por el mismo camino, le vio y sintió compasión de él.t 34 Se le acercó, le curó las heridas con aceite y vino,t y se las vendó. Luego le montó en su propia cabalgadura, lo llevó a una posada y cuidó de él. 35 Al día siguiente, el samaritano sacó dos denarios,t se los dio al posadero y le dijo: ‘Cuida a este hombre. Si gastas más, te lo pagaré a mi regreso.’

36 Pues bien, ¿cuál de aquellos tres te parece que fue el prójimot del hombre asaltado por los bandidos?

37 El maestro de la ley contestó:
–El que tuvo compasión de él.t
Jesús le dijo:
–Ve, pues, y haz tú lo mismo.

Jesús en casa de Marta y María

40 Pero Marta, atareada con sus muchos quehaceres, se acercó a Jesús y le dijo:
–Señor, ¿no te importa que mi hermana me deje sola con todo el trabajo? Dile que me ayude.

41 Jesús le contestó:
–Marta, Marta, estás preocupada e inquieta por muchas cosas; 42 sin embargo, solo una es necesaria.t María ha escogido la mejor parte, y nadie se la quitará.

Luke 10

The Mission of the Seventy-Two

1 After thist the Lord appointed seventy-twos others and sent them on ahead of him two by two into every townt and place where he himself was about to go.2 Het said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvests to send outt workers into his harvest.3 Go! It am sending you out like lambss surrounded by wolves.s4 Do not carrys a money bag,t a traveler’s bag,t or sandals, and greet no one on the road.t5 Whenevert you enter a house,t first say, ‘May peaces be on this house!’6 And if a peace-loving persont is there, your peace will remain on him, but if not, it will return to you.s7 Stayt in that same house, eating and drinking what they give you,t for the worker deserves his pay.s Do not move around from house to house.8 Whenevert you enter a townt and the peoplet welcome you, eat what is set before you.9 Healts the sick in that townt and say to them, ‘The kingdom of Gods has come upont you!’10 But whenevert you enter a townt and the peoplet do not welcomes you, go into its streetst and say,11 ‘Even the dust of your townt that clings to our feet we wipe offs against you.t Nevertheless know this: The kingdom of God has come.’t

12 I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodoms than for that town!t
13 “Woe to you, Chorazin!s Woe to you, Bethsaida! For ift the miraclest done in you had been done in Tyres and Sidon,ss they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you!

15 And you, Capernaum,ss will you be exalted to heaven?t No, you will be thrown down to Hades!s

16 “The one who listenst to you listens to me,s and the one who rejects you rejects me, and the one who rejects me rejectst the one who sent me.”s
17 Thent the seventy-twoss returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit tot us in your name!”t18 Sot he said to them, “I sawt Satan fallt like lightningt from heaven.19 Look, I have given you authority to treadt on snakes and scorpionss and on the full force of the enemy,ts and nothing willt hurt you.

20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice thatt the spirits submit to you, but rejoicet that your names stand writtent in heaven.”
21 On that same occasiont Jesust rejoiceds in the Holy Spirit and said, “I praiset you, Father, Lords of heaven and earth, becauset you have hidden these things from the wises and intelligent, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will.t

22 All things have been given to me by my Father.s No one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decidest to reveal him.”
23 Thent Jesust turnedt to hist disciples and said privately, “Blesseds are the eyes that see what you see!

24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings longed to sees what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 Nowt an expert in religious lawt stood up to test Jesus,t saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”s26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you understand it?”t27 The expertt answered, “Lovetthe Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,s and love your neighbor as yourself.”t

28 Jesust said to him, “You have answered correctly;s do this, and you will live.”
29 But the expert,t wanting to justifyts himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”30 Jesus replied,t “A man was going downs from Jerusalems to Jericho,s and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beatt him up, and went off, leaving him half dead.s31 Now by chances a priest was going down that road, butt when he saw the injured mant he passed bys on the other side.s32 So too a Levite, when he came up tot the place and saw him,t passed by on the other side.33 Butt a Samaritant who was travelingt came to where the injured mant was, and when he saw him, he felt compassion for him.ts34 Het went up to himt and bandaged his wounds, pouring oils and wine on them. Thent he put him ont his own animal,s brought him to an inn, and took care of him.35 Thet next day he took out two silver coinsts and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever else you spend, I will repay you when I come back this way.’t36 Which of these three do you think became a neighbors to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?”

37 The expert in religious lawt said, “The one who showed mercys to him.” Sot Jesus said to him, “Go and dot the same.”

Jesus and Martha

38 Now as they went on their way, Jesust entered a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him as a guest.st39 Shet had a sister named Mary, who satt at the Lord’s feets and listened to what he said.40 But Martha was distracteds with all the preparations she had to make,t sot she came up to him and said, “Lord, don’t you caret that my sister has left me to do all the workt alone? Tellt her to help me.”41 But the Lords answered her,t “Martha, Martha,s you are worried and troubledt about many things,

42 but one things is needed. Mary has chosen the bestt part; it will not be taken away from her.”
