EVANGELO DI S. LUCA 10

La missione de'~settanta

1 ORA, dopo queste cose, il Signore ne ordinò ancora altri settantat, e li mandò a due a due dinanzi a sè, in ogni città, e luogo, ove egli avea da venire.
2 Diceva loro adunque: Bene è la ricolta grande, ma gli operai son pochi; pregate adunque il Signor della ricolta che spinga degli operai nella sua ricoltat. 3 Andate; ecco, io vi mando come agnelli in mezzo de'~lupit.

4 Non portate borsa, nè tasca, nè scarpet; e non salutate alcuno per lo camminot.
5 Ed in qualunque casa sarete entrati, dite imprima: Pace sia a questa casat. 6 E se quivi è alcun figliuolo di pace, la vostra pace si poserà sopra esso; se no, ella ritornerà a voi.

7 Ora, dimorate in quella stessa casat, mangiando, e bevendo di quello che vi sarà; perciocchè l'operaio è degno del suo premiot; non passate di casa in casa.
8 E in qualunque città sarete entrati, se vi ricevono, mangiate di ciò che vi sarà messo davanti. 9 E guarite gl'infermit, che saranno in essa, e dite loro: Il regno di Dio si è avvicinato a voit. 10 Ma in qualunque città sarete entrati, se non vi ricevono, uscite nelle piazze di quella, e dite: 11 Noi vi spazziamo eziandio la polvere che si è attaccata a noi dalla vostra cittàt; ma pure sappiate questo, che il regno di Dio si è avvicinato a voi.

12 Or io vi dico, che in quel giorno Sodoma sarà più tollerabilmente trattata che quella cittàt.
13 Guai a te, Chorazin! guai a te, Betsaida! perciocchè, se in Tiro, ed in Sidon, fossero state fatte le potenti operazioni che sono state fatte in voi, già anticamente, giacendo in sacco, e cenere, si sarebbero pentitet. 14 Ma pure Tiro e Sidon, saranno più tollerabilmente trattate nel giudicio, che voi.

15 E tu, Capernaumt, che sei stata innalzata infino al cielo, sarai abbassata fin nell'inferno.

16 Chi ascolta voi ascolta me, chi sprezza voi sprezza me, e chi sprezza me sprezza colui che mi ha mandatot.
17 Or que'~settanta tornarono con allegrezza, dicendo: Signore, anche i demoni ci son sottoposti nel nome tuot. 18 Ed egli disse loro: Io riguardava Satana cader del cielo, a guisa di folgoret. 19 Ecco, io vi do la podestà di calcar serpenti, e scorpionit; vi do eziandio potere sopra ogni potenza del nemico; e nulla vi offenderà.

20 Ma pure non vi rallegrate di ciò che gli spiriti vi son sottoposti; anzi rallegratevi che i vostri nomi sono scritti ne'~cielit.
21 In quella stessa ora, Gesù giubilò in ispirito, e disset: Io ti rendo onore, e lode, o Padre, Signor del cielo e della terra, che tu hai nascoste queste cose ai savi, ed intendenti, e le hai rivelate ai piccoli fanciulli; sì certo, o Padre, perciocchè così ti è piaciuto.

22 Ogni cosa mi è stata data in mano dal Padre miot; e niuno conosce chi è il Figliuolo, se non il Padre; nè chi è il Padre, se non il Figliuolo; e colui a cui il Figliuolo avrà voluto rivelarlo.
23 E rivoltosi a'~discepoli, disse loro in disparte: Beati gli occhi che veggono le cose che voi vedetet;

24 perciocchè io vi dico, che molti profeti, e re, hanno desiderato di veder le cose che voi vedete, e non le hanno vedute, e di udir le cose che voi udite, e non le hanno uditet.

Parabola del buon Samaritano

28 Ed egli gli disse: Tu hai dirittamente risposto; fa'~ciò, e viverait.

29 Ed egli, volendo giustificarsi, disse a Gesù: E chi è mio prossimo?
30 E Gesù, replicando, disse: Un uomo scendeva di Gerusalemme in Gerico, e si abbattè in ladroni; i quali, spogliatolo, ed anche dategli di molte ferite, se ne andarono, lasciandolo mezzo morto. 31 Or a caso un sacerdote scendeva per quella stessa via; e, veduto colui, passò oltre di rincontrot.

32 Simigliantemente ancora, un Levita, essendo venuto presso di quel luogo, e, vedutolo, passò oltre di rincontro.
33 Ma un Samaritanot, facendo viaggio, venne presso di lui; e, vedutolo, n'ebbe pietà. 34 Ed accostatosi, fasciò le sue piaghe, versandovi sopra dell'olio, e del vino; poi lo mise sopra la sua propria cavalcatura, e lo menò nell'albergo, e si prese cura di lui.

35 E il giorno appresso, partendo, trasse fuori due denari, e li diede all'oste, e gli disse: Prenditi cura di costui; e tutto ciò che spenderai di più, io tel renderò quando io ritornerò.
36 Quale adunque di questi tre ti pare essere stato il prossimo di colui che si abbattè ne'~ladroni?

37 Ed egli disse: Colui che usò misericordia inverso lui. Gesù adunque gli disse: Va', e fa'~tu il simigliante.

Marta e Maria

38 ORA, mentre essi erano in cammino, avvenne ch'egli entrò in un castello; ed una certa donna, chiamata per nome Marta, lo ricevette in casa suat.
39 Or ella avea una sorella, chiamata Maria, la quale ancora, postasi a sedere a'~piedi di Gesùt, ascoltava la sua parolat.

40 Ma Marta era occupata intorno a molti servigi. Ed ella venne, e disse: Signore, non ti cale egli che la mia sorella mi ha lasciata sola a servire? dille adunque che mi aiuti.
41 Ma Gesù, rispondendo, le disse: Marta, Marta, tu sei sollecitat, e ti travagli intorno a molte cose. 42 Or d'una sola cosa fa bisognot. Ma Maria ha scelta la buona parte, la qual non le sarà tolta.

Luke 10

The Mission of the Seventy-Two

1 After thist the Lord appointed seventy-twos others and sent them on ahead of him two by two into every townt and place where he himself was about to go.2 Het said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvests to send outt workers into his harvest.3 Go! It am sending you out like lambss surrounded by wolves.s4 Do not carrys a money bag,t a traveler’s bag,t or sandals, and greet no one on the road.t5 Whenevert you enter a house,t first say, ‘May peaces be on this house!’6 And if a peace-loving persont is there, your peace will remain on him, but if not, it will return to you.s7 Stayt in that same house, eating and drinking what they give you,t for the worker deserves his pay.s Do not move around from house to house.8 Whenevert you enter a townt and the peoplet welcome you, eat what is set before you.9 Healts the sick in that townt and say to them, ‘The kingdom of Gods has come upont you!’10 But whenevert you enter a townt and the peoplet do not welcomes you, go into its streetst and say,11 ‘Even the dust of your townt that clings to our feet we wipe offs against you.t Nevertheless know this: The kingdom of God has come.’t

12 I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodoms than for that town!t
13 “Woe to you, Chorazin!s Woe to you, Bethsaida! For ift the miraclest done in you had been done in Tyres and Sidon,ss they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you!

15 And you, Capernaum,ss will you be exalted to heaven?t No, you will be thrown down to Hades!s

16 “The one who listenst to you listens to me,s and the one who rejects you rejects me, and the one who rejects me rejectst the one who sent me.”s
17 Thent the seventy-twoss returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit tot us in your name!”t18 Sot he said to them, “I sawt Satan fallt like lightningt from heaven.19 Look, I have given you authority to treadt on snakes and scorpionss and on the full force of the enemy,ts and nothing willt hurt you.

20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice thatt the spirits submit to you, but rejoicet that your names stand writtent in heaven.”
21 On that same occasiont Jesust rejoiceds in the Holy Spirit and said, “I praiset you, Father, Lords of heaven and earth, becauset you have hidden these things from the wises and intelligent, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will.t

22 All things have been given to me by my Father.s No one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decidest to reveal him.”
23 Thent Jesust turnedt to hist disciples and said privately, “Blesseds are the eyes that see what you see!

24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings longed to sees what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 Nowt an expert in religious lawt stood up to test Jesus,t saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”s26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you understand it?”t27 The expertt answered, “Lovetthe Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,s and love your neighbor as yourself.”t

28 Jesust said to him, “You have answered correctly;s do this, and you will live.”
29 But the expert,t wanting to justifyts himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”30 Jesus replied,t “A man was going downs from Jerusalems to Jericho,s and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beatt him up, and went off, leaving him half dead.s31 Now by chances a priest was going down that road, butt when he saw the injured mant he passed bys on the other side.s32 So too a Levite, when he came up tot the place and saw him,t passed by on the other side.33 Butt a Samaritant who was travelingt came to where the injured mant was, and when he saw him, he felt compassion for him.ts34 Het went up to himt and bandaged his wounds, pouring oils and wine on them. Thent he put him ont his own animal,s brought him to an inn, and took care of him.35 Thet next day he took out two silver coinsts and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever else you spend, I will repay you when I come back this way.’t36 Which of these three do you think became a neighbors to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?”

37 The expert in religious lawt said, “The one who showed mercys to him.” Sot Jesus said to him, “Go and dot the same.”

Jesus and Martha

38 Now as they went on their way, Jesust entered a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him as a guest.st39 Shet had a sister named Mary, who satt at the Lord’s feets and listened to what he said.40 But Martha was distracteds with all the preparations she had to make,t sot she came up to him and said, “Lord, don’t you caret that my sister has left me to do all the workt alone? Tellt her to help me.”41 But the Lords answered her,t “Martha, Martha,s you are worried and troubledt about many things,

42 but one things is needed. Mary has chosen the bestt part; it will not be taken away from her.”
