Lukas 10

1 Nach diesem aber bestellte der Herr auch siebzig andere und sandte sie zu je zwei vor seinem Angesicht her in jede Stadt und jeden Ort, wohin er selbst kommen wollte.2 Er sprach aber zu ihnen: Die Ernte zwar ist groß, der Arbeiter aber sind wenige. Bittet nun den Herrn der Ernte, daß er Arbeiter aussende in seine Ernte.3 Gehet hin! Siehe, ich sende euch wie Lämmer inmitten von Wölfen.4 Traget weder Börse noch Tasche, noch Sandalen, und grüßet niemand auf dem Wege.5 In welches Haus irgend ihr aber eintretet, sprechet zuerst: Friede diesem Hause!6 Und wenn daselbst ein Sohn des Friedens ist, so wird euer Friede auf demselben ruhen; wenn aber nicht, so wird er zu euch zurückkehren.7 In demselben Hause aber bleibet, und esset und trinket, was sie haben; denn der Arbeiter ist seines Lohnes wert. Gehet nicht aus einem Hause in ein anderes.8 Und in welche Stadt irgend ihr eintretet, und sie nehmen euch auf, da esset, was euch vorgesetzt wird, und heilet die Kranken in ihr9 und sprechet zu ihnen: Das Reich Gottes ist nahe zu euch gekommen.10 In welche Stadt irgend ihr aber eingetreten seid, und sie nehmen euch nicht auf, da gehet hinaus auf ihre Straßen und sprechet:11 Auch den Staub, der uns aus eurer Stadt an den Füßen hängt, schütteln wir gegen euch ab; doch dieses wisset, daß das Reich Gottes nahe gekommen ist.12 Ich sage euch, daß es Sodom an jenem Tage erträglicher ergehen wird als jener Stadt.13 Wehe dir, Chorazin! Wehe dir, Bethsaida! Denn wenn in Tyrus und Sidon die Wunderwerke geschehen wären, die unter euch geschehen sind, längst hätten sie, in Sack und Asche sitzend, Buße getan.14 Doch Tyrus und Sidon wird es erträglicher ergehen im Gericht als euch.15 Und du, Kapernaum, die du bis zum Himmel erhöht worden bist, bis zum Hades wirst du hinabgestoßen werden.16 Wer euch hört, hört mich; und wer euch verwirft, verwirft mich; wer aber mich verwirft, verwirft den, der mich gesandt hat.17 Die Siebzig aber kehrten mit Freuden zurück und sprachen: Herr, auch die Dämonen sind uns untertan in deinem Namen.18 Er sprach aber zu ihnen: Ich schaute den Satan wie einen Blitz vom Himmel fallen.19 Siehe, ich gebe euch die Gewalt, auf Schlangen und Skorpionen zu treten, und über die ganze Kraft des Feindes, und nichts soll euch irgendwie beschädigen.20 Doch darüber freuet euch nicht, daß euch die Geister untertan sind; freuet euch aber, daß eure Namen in den Himmeln angeschrieben sind.21 In selbiger Stunde frohlockte Jesus im Geiste und sprach: Ich preise dich, Vater, Herr des Himmels und der Erde, daß du dies vor Weisen und Verständigen verborgen hast, und hast es Unmündigen geoffenbart. Ja, Vater, denn also war es wohlgefällig vor dir.22 Alles ist mir übergeben von meinem Vater; und niemand erkennt, wer der Sohn ist, als nur der Vater; und wer der Vater ist, als nur der Sohn, und wem irgend der Sohn ihn offenbaren will.23 Und er wandte sich zu den Jüngern besonders und sprach: Glückselig die Augen, welche sehen, was ihr sehet!24 Denn ich sage euch, daß viele Propheten und Könige begehrt haben zu sehen, was ihr sehet, und haben es nicht gesehen, und zu hören, was ihr höret, und haben es nicht gehört.25 Und siehe, ein gewisser Gesetzgelehrter stand auf und versuchte ihn und sprach: Lehrer, was muß ich getan haben, um ewiges Leben zu ererben?26 Er aber sprach zu ihm: Was steht in dem Gesetz geschrieben? Wie liesest du?27 Er aber antwortete und sprach: "Du sollst den Herrn, deinen Gott, lieben aus deinem ganzen Herzen und mit deiner ganzen Seele und mit deiner ganzen Kraft und mit deinem ganzen Verstande, und deinen Nächsten wie dich selbst".28 Er sprach aber zu ihm: Du hast recht geantwortet; tue dies, und du wirst leben.29 Indem er aber sich selbst rechtfertigen wollte, sprach er zu Jesu: Und wer ist mein Nächster?30 Jesus aber erwiderte und sprach: Ein gewisser Mensch ging von Jerusalem nach Jericho hinab und fiel unter Räuber, die ihn auch auszogen und ihm Schläge versetzten und weggingen und ihn halbtot liegen ließen.31 Von ungefähr aber ging ein gewisser Priester jenes Weges hinab; und als er ihn sah, ging er an der entgegengesetzten Seite vorüber.32 Gleicherweise aber auch ein Levit, der an den Ort gelangte, kam und sah ihn und ging an der entgegengesetzten Seite vorüber.33 Aber ein gewisser Samariter, der auf der Reise war, kam zu ihm hin; und als er ihn sah, wurde er innerlich bewegt;34 und er trat hinzu und verband seine Wunden und goß Öl und Wein darauf; und er setzte ihn auf sein eigenes Tier und führte ihn in eine Herberge und trug Sorge für ihn.35 Und am folgenden Morgen als er fortreiste zog er zwei Denare heraus und gab sie dem Wirt und sprach zu ihm : Trage Sorge für ihn; und was irgend du noch dazu verwenden wirst, werde ich dir bezahlen, wenn ich zurückkomme.36 Wer von diesen dreien dünkt dich der Nächste gewesen zu sein von dem, der unter die Räuber gefallen war?37 Er aber sprach: Der die Barmherzigkeit an ihm tat. Jesus aber sprach zu ihm: Gehe hin und tue du desgleichen.38 Es geschah aber, als sie ihres Weges zogen, daß er in ein Dorf kam; und ein gewisses Weib, mit Namen Martha, nahm ihn in ihr Haus auf.39 Und diese hatte eine Schwester, genannt Maria, die sich auch zu den Füßen Jesu niedersetzte und seinem Worte zuhörte.40 Martha aber war sehr beschäftigt mit vielem Dienen; sie trat aber hinzu und sprach: Herr, kümmert es dich nicht, daß meine Schwester mich allein gelassen hat zu dienen? Sage ihr nun, daß sie mir helfe.41 Jesus aber antwortete und sprach zu ihr: Martha, Martha! Du bist besorgt und beunruhigt um viele Dinge;42 eines aber ist not. Maria aber hat das gute Teil erwählt, welches nicht von ihr genommen werden wird.

Luke 10

The Mission of the Seventy-Two

1 After thist the Lord appointed seventy-twos others and sent them on ahead of him two by two into every townt and place where he himself was about to go.2 Het said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvests to send outt workers into his harvest.3 Go! It am sending you out like lambss surrounded by wolves.s4 Do not carrys a money bag,t a traveler’s bag,t or sandals, and greet no one on the road.t5 Whenevert you enter a house,t first say, ‘May peaces be on this house!’6 And if a peace-loving persont is there, your peace will remain on him, but if not, it will return to you.s7 Stayt in that same house, eating and drinking what they give you,t for the worker deserves his pay.s Do not move around from house to house.8 Whenevert you enter a townt and the peoplet welcome you, eat what is set before you.9 Healts the sick in that townt and say to them, ‘The kingdom of Gods has come upont you!’10 But whenevert you enter a townt and the peoplet do not welcomes you, go into its streetst and say,11 ‘Even the dust of your townt that clings to our feet we wipe offs against you.t Nevertheless know this: The kingdom of God has come.’t

12 I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodoms than for that town!t
13 “Woe to you, Chorazin!s Woe to you, Bethsaida! For ift the miraclest done in you had been done in Tyres and Sidon,ss they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you!

15 And you, Capernaum,ss will you be exalted to heaven?t No, you will be thrown down to Hades!s

16 “The one who listenst to you listens to me,s and the one who rejects you rejects me, and the one who rejects me rejectst the one who sent me.”s
17 Thent the seventy-twoss returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit tot us in your name!”t18 Sot he said to them, “I sawt Satan fallt like lightningt from heaven.19 Look, I have given you authority to treadt on snakes and scorpionss and on the full force of the enemy,ts and nothing willt hurt you.

20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice thatt the spirits submit to you, but rejoicet that your names stand writtent in heaven.”
21 On that same occasiont Jesust rejoiceds in the Holy Spirit and said, “I praiset you, Father, Lords of heaven and earth, becauset you have hidden these things from the wises and intelligent, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will.t

22 All things have been given to me by my Father.s No one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decidest to reveal him.”
23 Thent Jesust turnedt to hist disciples and said privately, “Blesseds are the eyes that see what you see!

24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings longed to sees what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25 Nowt an expert in religious lawt stood up to test Jesus,t saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”s26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you understand it?”t27 The expertt answered, “Lovetthe Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,s and love your neighbor as yourself.”t

28 Jesust said to him, “You have answered correctly;s do this, and you will live.”
29 But the expert,t wanting to justifyts himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”30 Jesus replied,t “A man was going downs from Jerusalems to Jericho,s and fell into the hands of robbers, who stripped him, beatt him up, and went off, leaving him half dead.s31 Now by chances a priest was going down that road, butt when he saw the injured mant he passed bys on the other side.s32 So too a Levite, when he came up tot the place and saw him,t passed by on the other side.33 Butt a Samaritant who was travelingt came to where the injured mant was, and when he saw him, he felt compassion for him.ts34 Het went up to himt and bandaged his wounds, pouring oils and wine on them. Thent he put him ont his own animal,s brought him to an inn, and took care of him.35 Thet next day he took out two silver coinsts and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever else you spend, I will repay you when I come back this way.’t36 Which of these three do you think became a neighbors to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?”

37 The expert in religious lawt said, “The one who showed mercys to him.” Sot Jesus said to him, “Go and dot the same.”

Jesus and Martha

38 Now as they went on their way, Jesust entered a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him as a guest.st39 Shet had a sister named Mary, who satt at the Lord’s feets and listened to what he said.40 But Martha was distracteds with all the preparations she had to make,t sot she came up to him and said, “Lord, don’t you caret that my sister has left me to do all the workt alone? Tellt her to help me.”41 But the Lords answered her,t “Martha, Martha,s you are worried and troubledt about many things,

42 but one things is needed. Mary has chosen the bestt part; it will not be taken away from her.”
