누가복음서 10

일흔두 사람을 파송하시다

1 이 일이 있은 뒤에, 주님께서는 다른 일흔[두] 사람을 세우셔서, 친히 가려고 하시는 모든 고을과 모든 곳으로 둘씩 [둘씩] 앞서 보내시며 2 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “추수할 것은 많으나, 일꾼이 적다. 그러므로 추수하는 주인에게 추수할 일꾼을 보내 달라고 청하여라. 3 가거라, 내가 너희를 보내는 것이 양을 이리 가운데로 보내는 것과 같다. 4 전대도 자루도 신도 가지고 가지 말고, 길에서 아무에게도 인사하지 말아라. 5 어느 집에 들어가든지, 먼저 ‘이 집에 평화가 있기를 빕니다!’ 하고 말하여라. 6 거기에 평화를 바라는 사람이 있으면, 너희가 비는 평화가 그 사람에게 내릴 것이요, 그렇지 않으면, 그 평화가 너희에게 되돌아올 것이다. 7 너희는 한 집에 머물러 있으면서, 거기서 주는 것을 먹고 마셔라. 일꾼이 자기 삯을 받는 것은 마땅하다. 이 집 저 집 옮겨 다니지 말아라. 8 어느 고을에 들어가든지, 사람들이 너희를 영접하거든, 너희에게 차려 주는 음식을 먹어라. 9 그리고 거기에 있는 병자들을 고쳐주며 ‘하나님 나라가 너희에게 가까이 왔다’ 하고 그들에게 말하여라. 10 그러나 어느 고을에 들어가든지, 사람들이 너희를 영접하지 않거든, 그 고을 거리로 나가서 말하기를, 11 ‘우리 발에 묻은 너희 고을의 먼지를 너희에게 떨어버린다. 그러나 하나님 나라가 가까이 왔다는 것을 알아라’ 하여라. 12 내가 너희에게 말한다. 그 날에는 소돔이 그 고을보다 더 견디기 쉬울 것이다.”

회개하지 않는 도시에 화가 있으리라

(마 11:20-24)

13 “고라신아, 너에게 화가 있다. 벳새다야, 너에게 화가 있다. 내가 너희에게 행한 기적들을 두로와 시돈에서 행했더라면, 그들은 벌써 베옷을 입고, 재를 뒤집어쓰고 앉아, 회개하였을 것이다. 14 그러나 심판 날에는 두로와 시돈이 너희보다 더 견디기 쉬울 것이다. 15 가버나움아, 네가 하늘까지 치솟을 셈이냐? t지옥에까지 떨어질 것이다. 16 누구든지 너희의 말을 들으면 내 말을 듣는 것이요, 누구든지 너희를 배척하면 나를 배척하는 것이다. 그리고 누구든지 나를 배척하면, 나를 보내신 분을 배척하는 것이다.”

일흔두 사람이 돌아오다

17 일흔[두] 사람이 기쁨에 차서, 돌아와 보고하였다. “주님, 주님의 이름을 대면, 귀신들까지도 우리에게 복종합니다.” 18 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “사탄이 하늘에서 번갯불처럼 떨어지는 것을 내가 보았다. 19 보아라, 내가 너희에게 뱀과 전갈을 밟고, 원수의 모든 세력을 누를 권세를 주었으니, 아무것도 너희를 해하지 못할 것이다. 20 그러나 귀신들이 너희에게 굴복한다고 해서 기뻐하지 말고, 너희의 이름이 하늘에 기록된 것을 기뻐하여라.”

예수의 감사 기도

(마 11:25-27; 13:16-17)

21 그 때에 예수께서 t성령으로 기쁨에 차서 이렇게 아뢰었다. “하늘과 땅의 주님이신 아버지, 이 일을 지혜 있는 사람들과 똑똑한 사람들에게는 감추시고, 철부지 어린 아이들에게는 드러내 주셨으니, t감사합니다. 그렇습니다, 아버지! 이것이 아버지의 은혜로우신 뜻입니다. 22 아버지께서 모든 것을 내게 맡겨 주셨습니다. 아버지 밖에는 아들이 누구인지 아는 사람이 없습니다. 또 아들 밖에는, 그리고 아버지를 계시하여 주려고 아들이 택한 사람 밖에는, 아버지가 누구인지 아는 사람이 없습니다.” 23  예수께서 제자들에게 돌아서서 따로 말씀하셨다. “너희가 보고 있는 것을 보는 눈은, 복이 있다. 24 내가 너희에게 말한다. 많은 예언자와 왕이 너희가 지금 보고 있는 것을 보고자 하였으나 보지 못하였고, 너희가 지금 듣고 있는 것을 듣고자 하였으나 듣지 못하였다.”

사마리아 사람이 좋은 모범을 보이다

25 어떤 율법교사가 일어나서, 예수를 시험하여 말하였다. “선생님, 내가 무엇을 해야 영생을 얻겠습니까?” 26 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. “율법에 무엇이라고 기록하였으며, 너는 그것을 어떻게 읽고 있느냐?” 27 그가 대답하였다. “t‘네 마음을 다하고 네 목숨을 다하고 네 힘을 다하고 네 뜻을 다하여, 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하여라’ 하였고, 또 t‘네 이웃을 네 몸같이 사랑하여라’ 하였습니다.” 28 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. “네 대답이 옳다. 그대로 행하여라. 그리하면 살 것이다.” 29 그런데 그 율법교사는 자기를 옳게 보이고 싶어서 예수께 말하였다. “그러면, 내 이웃이 누구입니까?” 30 예수께서 대답하셨다. “어떤 사람이 예루살렘에서 여리고로 내려가다가 강도들을 만났다. 강도들이 그 옷을 벗기고 때려서, 거의 죽게 된 채로 내버려두고 갔다. 31 마침 어떤 제사장이 그 길로 내려가다가 그 사람을 보고 피하여 지나갔다. 32 이와 같이, 레위 사람도 그 곳에 이르러 그 사람을 보고, 피하여 지나갔다. 33 그러나 어떤 사마리아 사람은 길을 가다가, 그 사람이 있는 곳에 이르러, 그를 보고 측은한 마음이 들어서, 34 가까이 가서, 그 상처에 올리브 기름과 포도주를 붓고 싸맨 다음에, 자기 짐승에 태워서, 여관으로 데리고 가서 돌보아주었다. 35 다음 날, 그는 두 t데나리온을 꺼내어서, 여관 주인에게 주고, 말하기를 ‘이 사람을 돌보아주십시오. 비용이 더 들면, 내가 돌아오는 길에 갚겠습니다’ 하였다. 36 너는 이 세 사람 가운데서 누가 강도 만난 사람에게 이웃이 되어 주었다고 생각하느냐?” 37 그가 대답하였다. “자비를 베푼 사람입니다.” 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. “가서, 너도 이와 같이 하여라.”

마르다와 마리아

38 그들이 길을 가다가, 예수께서 어떤 마을에 들어가셨다. 마르다라고 하는 여자가 예수를 자기 집으로 모셔 들였다. 39 이 여자에게 마리아라고 하는 동생이 있었는데, 마리아는 주님의 발 곁에 앉아서 말씀을 듣고 있었다. 40 그러나 마르다는 여러 가지 접대하는 일로 분주하였다. 그래서 마르다가 예수께 와서 말하였다. “주님, 내 동생이 나 혼자 일하게 두는 것을 아무렇지 않게 생각하십니까? 가서 거들어 주라고 내 동생에게 말씀해 주십시오.” 41 그러나 주님께서는 마르다에게 대답하셨다. “마르다야, 마르다야, 너는 많은 일로 염려하며 들떠 있다. 42 그러나 주님의 일은 많지 않거나 하나뿐이다. 마리아는 좋은 몫을 택하였다. 그러니 아무도 그것을 그에게서 빼앗지 못할 것이다.”

LUKE 10

The Work //of the Seventy-Two Followers

1 Later the Lord chose 72 t other followers and sent them out two by two to every town and village where he was about to go.

2 t He said to them:
A large crop is in the fields, but there are only a few workers. Ask the Lord in charge of the harvest to send out workers to bring it in. 3 t Now go, but remember, I am sending you like lambs into a pack of wolves. 4 t Don't take along a moneybag or a traveling bag or sandals. And don't waste time greeting people on the road.t 5 As soon as you enter a home, say, “God bless this home with peace.” 6 If the people living there are peace-loving, your prayer for peace will bless them. But if they are not peace-loving, your prayer will return to you.

7 t Stay with the same family, eating and drinking whatever they give you, because workers are worth what they earn. Don't move around from house to house.
8 If the people of a town welcome you, eat whatever they offer.

9 Heal their sick and say, “God's kingdom will soon be here!”t
10  t But if the people of a town refuse to welcome you, go out into the street and say, 11 “We are shaking the dust from our feett as a warning to you. And you can be sure that God's kingdom will soon be here!”t

12 t I tell you that on the day of judgment the people of Sodom will get off easier than the people of that town!

The Unbelieving Towns

(Matthew 11.20-24)

13  t You people of Chorazin are in for trouble! You people of Bethsaida are also in for trouble! If the miracles that took place in your towns had happened in Tyre and Sidon, the people there would have turned to God long ago. They would have dressed in sackcloth and put ashes on their heads.t 14 On the day of judgment the people of Tyre and Sidon will get off easier than you will.

15 t People of Capernaum, do you think you will be honored in heaven? Well, you will go down to hell!

16  t My followers, whoever listens to you is listening to me. Anyone who says “No” to you is saying “No” to me. And anyone who says “No” to me is really saying “No” to the one who sent me.

The Return of the Seventy-Two

17 When the 72t followers returned, they were excited and said, “Lord, even the demons obeyed when we spoke in your name!”

18 Jesus told them:
I saw Satan fall from heaven like a flash of lightning. 19 t I have given you the power to trample on snakes and scorpions and to defeat the power of your enemy Satan. Nothing can harm you.

20 But don't be happy because evil spirits obey you. Be happy that your names are written in heaven!

Jesus Thanks His Father

(Matthew 11.25-27; 13.16,17)

21 At that same time, Jesus felt the joy that comes from the Holy Spirit, t and he said:
My Father, Lord of heaven and earth, I am grateful that you hid all this from wise and educated people and showed it to ordinary people. Yes, Father, this is what pleased you.

22  t My Father has given me everything, and he is the only one who knows the Son. The only one who really knows the Father is the Son. But the Son wants to tell others about the Father, so they can know him too.
23 Jesus then turned to his disciples and said to them in private, “You are really blessed to see what you see!

24 Many prophets and kings were eager to see what you see and to hear what you hear. But I tell you they did not see or hear.”

The Good Samaritan

25  t An expert in the Law of Moses stood up and asked Jesus a question to see what he would say. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to have eternal life?”

26 Jesus answered, “What is written in the Scriptures? How do you understand them?”

27  t The man replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind.’ They also say, ‘Love your neighbors as much as you love yourself.’ ”

28  t Jesus said, “You have given the right answer. If you do this, you will have eternal life.”

29 But the man wanted to show that he knew what he was talking about. So he asked Jesus, “Who are my neighbors?”

30 Jesus replied:
As a man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, robbers attacked him and grabbed everything he had. They beat him up and ran off, leaving him half dead.
31 A priest happened to be going down the same road. But when he saw the man, he walked by on the other side.

32 Later a temple helpert came to the same place. But when he saw the man who had been beaten up, he also went by on the other side.
33  t A man from Samaria then came traveling along that road. When he saw the man, he felt sorry for him 34 and went over to him. He treated his wounds with olive oil and winet and bandaged them. Then he put him on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him.

35 The next morning he gave the innkeeper two silver coins and said, “Please take care of the man. If you spend more than this on him, I will pay you when I return.”

36 Then Jesus asked, “Which one of these three people was a real neighbor to the man who was beaten up by robbers?”

37 The expert in the Law of Moses answered, “The one who showed pity.”
Jesus said, “Go and do the same!”

Martha and Mary

38  t The Lord and his disciples were traveling along and came to a village. When they got there, a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. 39 She had a sister named Mary, who sat down in front of the Lord and was listening to what he said.

40 Martha was worried about all that had to be done. Finally, she went to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn't it bother you that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her to come and help me!”
41 The Lord answered, “Martha, Martha! You are worried and upset about so many things, 42 but only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen what is best, and it will not be taken away from her.”
