พวกเจ็ดสิบสองคนออกประกาศ
1 ภายหลังเหตุการณ์เหล่านั้น พระเยซูทรงแต่งตั้งอีกเจ็ดสิบสองtคนและทรงใช้พวกเขาออกไปเป็นคู่ๆ ล่วงหน้าไปก่อนพระองค์ เข้าไปทุกเมืองและทุกตำบลที่พระองค์จะเสด็จไปนั้น 2 พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาทั้งหลายว่า “ข้าวที่ต้องเกี่ยวนั้นมีมาก แต่คนงานยังน้อยอยู่ เพราะฉะนั้นพวกท่านจงอ้อนวอนพระองค์ผู้ทรงเป็นเจ้าของนาให้ส่งคนงานมาเก็บเกี่ยวพืชผลของพระองค์t 3 ไปเถอะ เราใช้พวกท่านออกไปเหมือนอย่างลูกแกะที่อยู่ท่ามกลางฝูงหมาป่าt 4 อย่าเอาถุงเงิน หรือย่าม หรือรองเท้าไป และอย่าทักทายใครตามทาง 5 ถ้าจะเข้าไปในบ้านใดจงพูดก่อนว่า ‘ขอให้บ้านนี้มีสันติสุข’ 6 ถ้ามีคนรักสันติtอยู่ที่นั่น สันติสุขของพวกท่านจะอยู่กับเขา ถ้าไม่มี สันติสุขของท่านจะกลับคืนมาอยู่กับพวกท่าน 7 จงอาศัยอยู่ในบ้านเดียวกันนั้นตลอด กินและดื่มของที่พวกเขาจัดให้นั้น เพราะว่าคนที่ทำงานสมควรจะได้รับค่าจ้างของตนt อย่าย้ายจากบ้านนี้ไปบ้านโน้น 8 เมื่อพวกท่านเข้าไปในเมืองไหนและมีคนต้อนรับท่าน จงรับประทานสิ่งที่เขาจัดให้ 9 และจงรักษาคนป่วยในเมืองนั้นให้หายและแจ้งกับเขาว่า ‘แผ่นดินของพระเจ้ามาใกล้พวกท่านแล้ว’ 10 แต่ถ้าท่านทั้งหลายเข้าไปในเมืองไหนและไม่มีใครต้อนรับท่าน จงออกไปที่กลางถนนของเมืองนั้นกล่าวว่า 11 ‘แม้แต่ผงคลีดินในเมืองของพวกท่านที่ติดอยู่กับเท้าของเรา เราก็จะสะบัดออกเพื่อเป็นการประท้วงท่านt แต่พวกท่านจงเข้าใจข้อความนี้ คือแผ่นดินของพระเจ้ามาใกล้แล้ว’t 12 เราบอกพวกท่านว่า โทษของเมืองโสโดมในวันนั้นจะยังเบากว่าโทษของเมืองนั้นtt
วิบัติแก่เมืองที่ไม่ได้กลับใจใหม่
(มธ.11:20-24)
13 “วิบัติแก่เจ้า เมืองโคราซิน วิบัติแก่เจ้า เมืองเบธไซดา ถ้าการอัศจรรย์ต่างๆ ซึ่งทำท่ามกลางพวกเจ้าได้ทำในเมืองไทระและเมืองไซดอนt คนในเมืองทั้งสองคงได้นุ่งห่มผ้ากระสอบt นั่งบนขี้เถ้า กลับใจใหม่นานแล้ว 14 แต่ในวันพิพากษานั้น โทษของเมืองไทระและเมืองไซดอนจะเบากว่าโทษของพวกเจ้า 15 ส่วนเจ้า เมืองคาเปอรนาอุม
เจ้าจะถูกยกขึ้นเทียมฟ้าหรือ?
เปล่าเลย เจ้าจะต้องลงไปถึงแดนคนตายต่างหากt
16 ผู้ที่ยอมฟังพวกท่านก็ยอมฟังเราt ผู้ที่ไม่ยอมรับพวกท่านก็ไม่ยอมรับเรา ผู้ที่ไม่ยอมรับเราก็ไม่ยอมรับผู้ที่ใช้เรามา”
พวกเจ็ดสิบสองคนกลับมา
17 สาวกเจ็ดสิบสองคนนั้นกลับมาด้วยความยินดีทูลว่า “องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า แม้แต่พวกผีก็อยู่ใต้บังคับของพวกข้าพระองค์โดยพระนามของพระองค์” 18 พระองค์ตรัสกับพวกเขาว่า “เราเห็นซาตานtตกจากฟ้าเหมือนฟ้าแลบ 19 นี่แน่ะ เราให้พวกท่านมีสิทธิอำนาจเหยียบงูร้ายและแมงป่องt และให้มีอำนาจยิ่งใหญ่กว่าฤทธานุภาพของศัตรูนั้น ไม่มีอะไรจะมาทำอันตรายพวกท่านได้เลย 20 แต่ว่าอย่าชื่นชมยินดีในสิ่งนี้ คือที่พวกผีอยู่ใต้บังคับของท่าน แต่จงชื่นชมยินดีที่ชื่อของท่านจดไว้ในสวรรค์”
พระเยซูทรงเปรมปรีดิ์
(มธ.11:25-27; 13:16-17)
21 ในเวลานั้นเอง พระเยซูทรงเปรมปรีดิ์ในพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ ตรัสว่า “ข้าแต่พระบิดาผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งฟ้าสวรรค์และโลก ข้าพระองค์สรรเสริญพระองค์ที่พระองค์ทรงปิดบังสิ่งเหล่านี้ไว้จากคนมีปัญญาและคนฉลาด แต่ทรงสำแดงแก่พวกทารก ถูกแล้ว ข้าแต่พระบิดา พระองค์พอพระทัยเช่นนั้น
22 “พระบิดาของเราทรงมอบสิ่งสารพัดให้แก่เราt ไม่มีใครรู้ว่าพระบุตรเป็นใครนอกจากพระบิดา และไม่มีใครรู้ว่าพระบิดาเป็นใครนอกจากพระบุตรt และผู้ที่พระบุตรประสงค์จะสำแดงให้รู้”
23 พระองค์ทรงหันมาหาพวกสาวก ตรัสกับพวกเขาเป็นการส่วนตัวว่า “ผู้ที่ได้เห็นสิ่งที่พวกท่านเห็นก็เป็นสุข 24 เพราะเราบอกพวกท่านว่า ผู้เผยพระวจนะหลายคนและกษัตริย์หลายองค์ปรารถนาจะเห็นสิ่งที่ท่านเห็นอยู่นี้ แต่เขาทั้งหลายไม่เคยเห็น และอยากจะได้ยินสิ่งที่พวกท่านได้ยิน แต่เขาก็ไม่เคยได้ยิน”
ชาวสะมาเรียใจดี
25 มีผู้เชี่ยวชาญบัญญัติคนหนึ่งยืนขึ้นทดสอบพระองค์ ทูลถามว่า “ท่านอาจารย์ ข้าพเจ้าจะต้องทำอะไรเพื่อจะได้รับชีวิตนิรันดร์?” 26 พระองค์ตรัสตอบว่า “ในธรรมบัญญัติเขียนว่าอย่างไร? ท่านอ่านแล้วเข้าใจอย่างไร?” 27 เขาทูลตอบว่า “พวกท่านจงรักองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าผู้เป็นพระเจ้าของท่านด้วยสุดใจของท่าน ด้วยสุดจิตของท่าน ด้วยสุดกำลังของท่าน และด้วยสุดความคิดของท่านt และจงรักเพื่อนบ้านเหมือนรักตนเองt” 28 พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า “ท่านตอบถูกแล้ว จงไปทำอย่างนั้นแล้วจะได้ชีวิตt”t
29 แต่คนนั้นต้องการจะรักษาหน้า จึงทูลพระเยซูว่า “ใครเป็นเพื่อนบ้านของข้าพเจ้า?” 30 พระเยซูตรัสตอบว่า “มีชายคนหนึ่งลงจากกรุงเยรูซาเล็มไปยังเมืองเยรีโค และเขาถูกพวกโจรปล้น พวกโจรแย่งชิงเสื้อผ้าของเขา ทุบตีเขา แล้วทิ้งเขาไว้ในสภาพที่เกือบจะตายแล้ว 31 เผอิญมีปุโรหิตคนหนึ่งเดินมาตามทางนั้น เมื่อเห็นคนนั้นแล้วก็เดินเลยไปเสียอีกฟากหนึ่ง 32 คนเลวีก็เหมือนกัน เมื่อมาถึงที่นั่นและเห็นแล้วก็เลยไปเสียอีกฟากหนึ่ง 33 แต่เมื่อชาวสะมาเรียคนหนึ่งเดินทางผ่านมาใกล้คนนั้น เห็นแล้วก็มีใจสงสาร 34 จึงเข้าไปหาเขา เอาเหล้าองุ่นกับน้ำมันเทใส่บาดแผลและเอาผ้ามาพันให้ แล้วให้เขาขึ้นขี่สัตว์ของตนเองพามาถึงโรงแรม และดูแลรักษาพยาบาลเขา 35 วันรุ่งขึ้นก่อนจะไป เขาเอาเงินสองเดนาริอันให้กับเจ้าของโรงแรม บอกว่า ‘ช่วยรักษาเขาด้วย สำหรับเงินที่ต้องเสียเกินกว่านี้จะใช้ให้เมื่อกลับมา’ 36 ท่านเห็นว่าในสามคนนั้นคนไหนถือได้ว่าเป็นเพื่อนบ้านของคนที่ถูกปล้น?” 37 เขาทูลตอบว่า “คือคนนั้นแหละที่แสดงความเมตตาต่อเขา” พระเยซูจึงตรัสกับเขาว่า “ท่านจงไปทำเหมือนอย่างนั้น”
การเสด็จเยี่ยมมารธาและมารีย์
38 เมื่อพระเยซูกับพวกสาวกเดินทางไป พระองค์ทรงเข้าไปในหมู่บ้านแห่งหนึ่ง และมีผู้หญิงคนหนึ่งชื่อมารธาต้อนรับพระองค์เข้าไปพักที่บ้านของนาง 39 มารธามีน้องสาวชื่อมารีย์t และมารีย์ก็นั่งอยู่ใกล้พระบาทของพระเยซูคอยฟังถ้อยคำของพระองค์ 40 แต่มารธาวุ่นวายอย่างมากกับการปรนนิบัติ จึงมาทูลพระองค์ว่า “องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระองค์ไม่สนพระทัยหรือที่น้องสาวของข้าพระองค์ปล่อยให้ข้าพระองค์ปรนนิบัติอยู่คนเดียว? ขอพระองค์สั่งน้องให้มาช่วยข้าพระองค์ด้วย” 41 แต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสตอบนางว่า “มารธา มารธาเอ๋ย เธอกระวนกระวายและร้อนใจหลายอย่างเหลือเกิน 42 สิ่งที่จำเป็นนั้นมีเพียงสิ่งเดียว และมารีย์ก็เลือกเอาส่วนที่ดีนั้น ใครจะชิงเอาไปจากเธอไม่ได้”
Luke 10
1 Now after these things the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself was about to come.2 And he said unto them, The harvest indeed is plenteous, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he send forth laborers into his harvest.3 Go your ways; behold, I send you forth as lambs in the midst of wolves.4 Carry no purse, no wallet, no shoes; and salute no man on the way.5 And into whatsoever house ye shall enter, first say, Peace be to this house.6 And if a son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon him: but if not, it shall turn to you again.7 And in that same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.8 And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:9 and heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.10 But into whatsoever city ye shall enter, and they receive you not, go out into the streets thereof and say,11 Even the dust from your city, that cleaveth to our feet, we wipe off against you: nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh.12 I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.13 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which were done in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.14 But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you.15 And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be exalted unto heaven? thou shalt be brought down unto Hades.16 He that heareth you heareth me; and he that rejecteth you rejecteth me; and he that rejecteth me rejecteth him that sent me.17 And the seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject unto us in thy name.18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan fallen as lightning from heaven.19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.20 Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.21 In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes: yea, Father; for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight.22 All things have been delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth who the Son is, save the Father; and who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son willeth to reveal him.23 And turning to the disciples, he said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:24 for I say unto you, that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not.25 And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and made trial of him, saying, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?26 And he said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.29 But he, desiring to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?30 Jesus made answer and said, A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho; and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead.31 And by chance a certain priest was going down that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.32 And in like manner a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side.33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he was moved with compassion,34 and came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on them oil and wine; and he set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.35 And on the morrow he took out two shillings, and gave them to the host, and said, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, I, when I come back again, will repay thee.36 Which of these three, thinkest thou, proved neighbor unto him that fell among the robbers?37 And he said, He that showed mercy on him. And Jesus said unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.38 Now as they went on their way, he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at the Lord’s feet, and heard his word.40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving; and she came up to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister did leave me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.41 But the Lord answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things:42 but one thing is needful: for Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
