لوقا 11
1 ایک دن عیسیٰ کہیں دعا کر رہا تھا۔ جب وہ فارغ ہوا تو اُس کے کسی شاگرد نے کہا، ”خداوند، ہمیں دعا کرنا سکھائیں، جس طرح یحییٰ نے بھی اپنے شاگردوں کو دعا کرنے کی تعلیم دی۔“2 عیسیٰ نے کہا، ”دعا کرتے وقت یوں کہنا، اے باپ، تیرا نام مُقدّس مانا جائے۔ تیری بادشاہی آئے۔3 ہر روز ہمیں ہماری روز کی روٹی دے۔4 ہمارے گناہوں کو معاف کر۔ کیونکہ ہم بھی ہر ایک کو معاف کرتے ہیں جو ہمارا گناہ کرتا ہے۔ اور ہمیں آزمائش میں نہ پڑنے دے۔“5 پھر اُس نے اُن سے کہا، ”اگر تم میں سے کوئی آدھی رات کے وقت اپنے دوست کے گھر جا کر کہے، ’بھائی، مجھے تین روٹیاں دے، بعد میں مَیں یہ واپس کر دوں گا۔6 کیونکہ میرا دوست سفر کر کے میرے پاس آیا ہے اور مَیں اُسے کھانے کے لئے کچھ نہیں دے سکتا۔‘7 اب فرض کرو کہ یہ دوست اندر سے جواب دے، ’مہربانی کر کے مجھے تنگ نہ کر۔ دروازے پر تالا لگا ہے اور میرے بچے میرے ساتھ بستر پر ہیں، اِس لئے مَیں تجھے دینے کے لئے اُٹھ نہیں سکتا۔‘8 لیکن مَیں تم کو یہ بتاتا ہوں کہ اگر وہ دوستی کی خاطر نہ بھی اُٹھے، توبھی وہ اپنے دوست کے بےجا اصرار کی وجہ سے اُس کی تمام ضرورت پوری کرے گا۔9 چنانچہ مانگتے رہو تو تم کو دیا جائے گا، ڈھونڈتے رہو تو تم کو مل جائے گا۔ کھٹکھٹاتے رہو تو تمہارے لئے دروازہ کھول دیا جائے گا۔10 کیونکہ جو بھی مانگتا ہے وہ پاتا ہے، جو ڈھونڈتا ہے اُسے ملتا ہے اور جو کھٹکھٹاتا ہے اُس کے لئے دروازہ کھول دیا جاتا ہے۔11 تم باپوں میں سے کون اپنے بیٹے کو سانپ دے گا اگر وہ مچھلی مانگے؟12 یا کون اُسے بچھو دے گا اگر وہ انڈا مانگے؟ کوئی نہیں!13 جب تم بُرے ہونے کے باوجود اِتنے سمجھ دار ہو کہ اپنے بچوں کو اچھی چیزیں دے سکتے ہو تو پھر کتنی زیادہ یقینی بات ہے کہ آسمانی باپ اپنے مانگنے والوں کو روح القدس دے گا۔“14 ایک دن عیسیٰ نے ایک ایسی بدروح نکال دی جو گونگی تھی۔ جب وہ گونگے آدمی میں سے نکلی تو وہ بولنے لگا۔ وہاں پر جمع لوگ ہکا بکا رہ گئے۔15 لیکن بعض نے کہا، ”یہ تو بدروحوں کے سردار بعل زبول کی مدد سے بدروحوں کو نکالتا ہے۔“16 اَوروں نے اُسے آزمانے کے لئے کسی الٰہی نشان کا مطالبہ کیا۔17 لیکن عیسیٰ نے اُن کے خیالات جان کر کہا، ”جس بادشاہی میں بھی پھوٹ پڑ جائے وہ تباہ ہو جائے گی، اور جس گھرانے کی ایسی حالت ہو وہ بھی خاک میں مل جائے گا۔18 تم کہتے ہو کہ مَیں بعل زبول کی مدد سے بدروحوں کو نکالتا ہوں۔ لیکن اگر ابلیس میں پھوٹ پڑ گئی ہے تو پھر اُس کی بادشاہی کس طرح قائم رہ سکتی ہے؟19 دوسرا سوال یہ ہے، اگر مَیں بعل زبول کی مدد سے بدروحوں کو نکالتا ہوں تو تمہارے بیٹے اُنہیں کس کے ذریعے نکالتے ہیں؟ چنانچہ وہی اِس بات میں تمہارے منصف ہوں گے۔20 لیکن اگر مَیں اللہ کی قدرت سے بدروحوں کو نکالتا ہوں تو پھر اللہ کی بادشاہی تمہارے پاس پہنچ چکی ہے۔21 جب تک کوئی زورآور آدمی ہتھیاروں سے لیس اپنے ڈیرے کی پہرہ داری کرے اُس وقت تک اُس کی ملکیت محفوظ رہتی ہے۔22 لیکن اگر کوئی زیادہ طاقت ور شخص حملہ کر کے اُس پر غالب آئے تو وہ اُس کے اسلحہ پر قبضہ کرے گا جس پر اُس کا بھروسا تھا، اور لُوٹا ہوا مال اپنے لوگوں میں تقسیم کر دے گا۔23 جو میرے ساتھ نہیں وہ میرے خلاف ہے اور جو میرے ساتھ جمع نہیں کرتا وہ بکھیرتا ہے۔24 جب کوئی بدروح کسی شخص میں سے نکلتی ہے تو وہ ویران علاقوں میں سے گزرتی ہوئی آرام کی جگہ تلاش کرتی ہے۔ لیکن جب اُسے کوئی ایسا مقام نہیں ملتا تو وہ کہتی ہے، ’مَیں اپنے اُس گھر میں واپس چلی جاؤں گی جس میں سے نکلی تھی۔‘25 وہ واپس آ کر دیکھتی ہے کہ کسی نے جھاڑو دے کر سب کچھ سلیقے سے رکھ دیا ہے۔26 پھر وہ جا کر سات اَور بدروحیں ڈھونڈ لاتی ہے جو اُس سے بدتر ہوتی ہیں، اور وہ سب اُس شخص میں گھس کر رہنے لگتی ہیں۔ چنانچہ اب اُس آدمی کی حالت پہلے کی نسبت زیادہ بُری ہو جاتی ہے۔“27 عیسیٰ ابھی یہ بات کر ہی رہا تھا کہ ایک عورت نے اونچی آواز سے کہا، ”آپ کی ماں مبارک ہے جس نے آپ کو جنم دیا اور آپ کو دودھ پلایا۔“28 لیکن عیسیٰ نے جواب دیا، ”بات یہ نہیں ہے۔ حقیقت میں وہ مبارک ہیں جو اللہ کا کلام سن کر اُس پر عمل کرتے ہیں۔“29 سننے والوں کی تعداد بہت بڑھ گئی تو وہ کہنے لگا، ”یہ نسل شریر ہے، کیونکہ یہ مجھ سے الٰہی نشان کا تقاضا کرتی ہے۔ لیکن اِسے کوئی بھی الٰہی نشان پیش نہیں کیا جائے گا سوائے یونس کے نشان کے۔30 کیونکہ جس طرح یونس نینوہ شہر کے باشندوں کے لئے نشان تھا بالکل اُسی طرح ابنِ آدم اِس نسل کے لئے نشان ہو گا۔31 قیامت کے دن جنوبی ملک سبا کی مَلِکہ اِس نسل کے لوگوں کے ساتھ کھڑی ہو کر اُنہیں مجرم قرار دے گی۔ کیونکہ وہ دُوردراز ملک سے سلیمان کی حکمت سننے کے لئے آئی تھی جبکہ یہاں وہ ہے جو سلیمان سے بھی بڑا ہے۔32 اُس دن نینوہ کے باشندے بھی اِس نسل کے لوگوں کے ساتھ کھڑے ہو کر اُنہیں مجرم ٹھہرائیں گے۔ کیونکہ یونس کے اعلان پر اُنہوں نے توبہ کی تھی جبکہ یہاں وہ ہے جو یونس سے بھی بڑا ہے۔33 جب کوئی شخص چراغ جلاتا ہے تو نہ وہ اُسے چھپاتا، نہ برتن کے نیچے رکھتا بلکہ اُسے شمع دان پر رکھ دیتا ہے تاکہ اُس کی روشنی اندر آنے والوں کو نظر آئے۔34 تیری آنکھ تیرے بدن کا چراغ ہے۔ اگر تیری آنکھ ٹھیک ہو تو تیرا پورا جسم روشن ہو گا۔ لیکن اگر آنکھ خراب ہو تو پورا جسم اندھیرا ہی اندھیرا ہو گا۔35 خبردار! ایسا نہ ہو کہ جو روشنی تیرے اندر ہے وہ حقیقت میں تاریکی ہو۔36 چنانچہ اگر تیرا پورا جسم روشن ہو اور کوئی بھی حصہ تاریک نہ ہو تو پھر وہ بالکل روشن ہو گا، ایسا جیسا اُس وقت ہوتا ہے جب چراغ تجھے اپنے چمکنے دمکنے سے روشن کر دیتا ہے۔“37 عیسیٰ ابھی بات کر رہا تھا کہ کسی فریسی نے اُسے کھانے کی دعوت دی۔ چنانچہ وہ اُس کے گھر میں جا کر کھانے کے لئے بیٹھ گیا۔38 میزبان بڑا حیران ہوا، کیونکہ اُس نے دیکھا کہ عیسیٰ ہاتھ دھوئے بغیر کھانے کے لئے بیٹھ گیا ہے۔39 لیکن خداوند نے اُس سے کہا، ”دیکھو، تم فریسی باہر سے ہر پیالے اور برتن کی صفائی کرتے ہو، لیکن اندر سے تم لُوٹ مار اور شرارت سے بھرے ہوتے ہو۔40 نادانو! اللہ نے باہر والے حصے کو خلق کیا، تو کیا اُس نے اندر والے حصے کو نہیں بنایا؟41 چنانچہ جو کچھ برتن کے اندر ہے اُسے غریبوں کو دے دو۔ پھر تمہارے لئے سب کچھ پاک صاف ہو گا۔42 فریسیو، تم پر افسوس! کیونکہ ایک طرف تم پودینہ، سداب اور باغ کی ہر قسم کی ترکاری کا دسواں حصہ اللہ کے لئے مخصوص کرتے ہو، لیکن دوسری طرف تم انصاف اور اللہ کی محبت کو نظرانداز کرتے ہو۔ لازم ہے کہ تم یہ کام بھی کرو اور پہلا بھی نہ چھوڑو۔43 فریسیو، تم پر افسوس! کیونکہ تم عبادت خانوں کی عزت کی کرسیوں پر بیٹھنے کے لئے بےچین رہتے اور بازار میں لوگوں کا سلام سننے کے لئے تڑپتے ہو۔44 ہاں، تم پر افسوس! کیونکہ تم پوشیدہ قبروں کی مانند ہو جن پر سے لوگ نادانستہ طور پر گزرتے ہیں۔“45 شریعت کے ایک عالم نے اعتراض کیا، ”اُستاد، آپ یہ کہہ کر ہماری بھی بےعزتی کرتے ہیں۔“46 عیسیٰ نے جواب دیا، ”تم شریعت کے عالموں پر بھی افسوس! کیونکہ تم لوگوں پر بھاری بوجھ ڈال دیتے ہو جو مشکل سے اُٹھایا جا سکتا ہے۔ نہ صرف یہ بلکہ تم خود اِس بوجھ کو اپنی ایک اُنگلی بھی نہیں لگاتے۔47 تم پر افسوس! کیونکہ تم نبیوں کے مزار بنا دیتے ہو، اُن کے جنہیں تمہارے باپ دادا نے مار ڈالا۔48 اِس سے تم گواہی دیتے ہو کہ تم وہ کچھ پسند کرتے ہو جو تمہارے باپ دادا نے کیا۔ اُنہوں نے نبیوں کو قتل کیا جبکہ تم اُن کے مزار تعمیر کرتے ہو۔49 اِس لئے اللہ کی حکمت نے کہا، ’مَیں اُن میں نبی اور رسول بھیج دوں گی۔ اُن میں سے بعض کو وہ قتل کریں گے اور بعض کو ستائیں گے۔‘50 نتیجے میں یہ نسل تمام نبیوں کے قتل کی ذمہ دار ٹھہرے گی — دنیا کی تخلیق سے لے کر آج تک،51 یعنی ہابیل کے قتل سے لے کر زکریاہ کے قتل تک، جسے بیت المُقدّس کے صحن میں موجود قربان گاہ اور بیت المُقدّس کے دروازے کے درمیان قتل کیا گیا۔ ہاں، مَیں تم کو بتاتا ہوں کہ یہ نسل ضرور اُن کی ذمہ دار ٹھہرے گی۔52 شریعت کے عالمو، تم پر افسوس! کیونکہ تم نے علم کی کنجی کو چھین لیا ہے۔ نہ صرف یہ کہ تم خود داخل نہیں ہوئے، بلکہ تم نے داخل ہونے والوں کو بھی روک لیا۔“53 جب عیسیٰ وہاں سے نکلا تو عالم اور فریسی اُس کے سخت مخالف ہو گئے اور بڑے غور سے اُس کی پوچھ گچھ کرنے لگے۔54 وہ اِس تاک میں رہے کہ اُسے منہ سے نکلی کسی بات کی وجہ سے پکڑیں۔
Luke 11
1 And it came to pass, as he was praying in a certain place, that when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, even as John also taught his disciples.2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Father, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.3 Give us day by day our daily bread.4 And forgive us our sins; for we ourselves also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And bring us not into temptation.5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves;6 for a friend of mine is come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him;7 and he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee?8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will arise and give him as many as he needeth.9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.11 And of which of you that is a father shall his son ask a loaf, and he give him a stone? or a fish, and he for a fish give him a serpent?12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he give him a scorpion?13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?14 And he was casting out a demon that was dumb. And it came to pass, when the demon was gone out, the dumb man spake; and the multitudes marvelled.15 But some of them said, By Beelzebub the prince of the demons casteth he out demons.16 And others, trying him, sought of him a sign from heaven.17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.18 And if Satan also is divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out demons by Beelzebub.19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges.20 But if I by the finger of God cast out demons, then is the kingdom of God come upon you.21 When the strong man fully armed guardeth his own court, his goods are in peace:22 but when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him his whole armor wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.23 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.24 The unclean spirit when he is gone out of the man, passeth through waterless places, seeking rest, and finding none, he saith, I will turn back unto my house whence I came out.25 And when he is come, he findeth it swept and garnished.26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more evil than himself; and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man becometh worse than the first.27 And it came to pass, as he said these things, a certain woman out of the multitude lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the breasts which thou didst suck.28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.29 And when the multitudes were gathering together unto him, he began to say, This generation is an evil generation: it seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it but the sign of Jonah.30 For even as Jonah became a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and shall condemn them: for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.32 The men of Nineveh shall stand up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and behold, a greater than Jonah is here.33 No man, when he hath lighted a lamp, putteth it in a cellar, neither under the bushel, but on the stand, that they which enter in may see the light.34 The lamp of thy body is thine eye: when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when it is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.35 Look therefore whether the light that is in thee be not darkness.36 If therefore thy whole body be full of light, having no part dark, it shall be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining doth give thee light.37 Now as he spake, a Pharisee asketh him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat.38 And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first bathed himself before dinner.39 And the Lord said unto him, Now ye the Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the platter; but your inward part is full of extortion and wickedness.40 Ye foolish ones, did not he that made the outside make the inside also?41 But give for alms those things which are within; and behold, all things are clean unto you.42 But woe unto you Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and every herb, and pass over justice and the love of God: but these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.43 Woe unto you Pharisees! for ye love the chief seats in the synagogues, and the salutations in the marketplaces.44 Woe unto you! for ye are as the tombs which appear not, and the men that walk over them know it not.45 And one of the lawyers answering saith unto him, Teacher, in saying this thou reproachest us also.46 And he said, Woe unto you lawyers also! for ye load men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.47 Woe unto you! for ye build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.48 So ye are witnesses and consent unto the works of your fathers: for they killed them, and ye build their tombs.49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send unto them prophets and apostles; and some of them they shall kill and persecute;50 that the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;51 from the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zachariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary: yea, I say unto you, it shall be required of this generation.52 Woe unto you lawyers! for ye took away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.53 And when he was come out from thence, the scribes and the Pharisees began to press upon him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things;54 laying wait for him, to catch something out of his mouth.
