Selon Luc 12

Ceux qui se déclarent pour Jésus

1  tSur ces entrefaites, la foule s’étant rassemblée par dizaines de milliers, au point que les gens s’écrasaient les uns les autres, il se mit à dire, à ses disciples d’abord : Gardez-vous du levain des pharisiens, qui est l’hypocrisie.

Mt 10.26-33


2  tIl n’y a rien de voilé qui ne doive être révélé, rien de caché qui ne doive être connu.

3 tC’est pourquoi tout ce que vous aurez dit dans les ténèbres sera entendu en plein jour ; ce que vous aurez chuchoté à l’oreille, dans les pièces les plus retirées, sera proclamé sur les toits en terrasse.
4  tJe vous le dis, à vous, mes amis : ne craignez pas ceux qui tuent le corps et qui, après cela, ne peuvent rien faire de plus. 5 tJe vais vous montrer qui vous devez craindre. Craignez celui qui, après avoir tué, a l’autorité pour jeter dans la géhenne ; oui, je vous le dis, c’est lui que vous devez craindre. 6 tNe vend-on pas cinq moineaux pour deux as ? Cependant, pas un seul d’entre eux n’est oublié devant Dieu.

7 tMême les cheveux de votre tête sont tous comptés. N’ayez donc pas peur ; vous valez plus que beaucoup de moineaux.
8  tJe vous le dis, quiconque se reconnaît en moi devant les gens, le Fils de l’homme se reconnaîtra aussi en lui devant les anges de Dieu ;

9 tmais celui qui m’aura renié devant les gens sera renié devant les anges de Dieu.

10  tEt quiconque parlera contre le Fils de l’homme, il lui sera pardonné, mais à celui qui blasphémera contre l’Esprit saint, il ne sera pas pardonné.
11  tQuand on vous mènera devant les synagogues, les princes et les autorités, ne vous inquiétez pas de la manière dont vous présenterez votre défense, ni de ce que vous direz ;

12 tcar l’Esprit saint vous enseignera au moment même ce qu’il faudra dire.

La parabole du riche déraisonnable


13  tQuelqu’un de la foule lui dit : Maître, dis à mon frère de partager avec moi notre héritage. 14 tIl lui répondit : Qui a fait de moi votre juge ou votre arbitre ?

15 tPuis il leur dit : Veillez à vous garder de toute avidité ; car même dans l’abondance, la vie d’un homme ne dépend pas de ses biens.
16  tIl leur dit une parabole : La terre d’un homme riche avait beaucoup rapporté. 17 tIl raisonnait, se disant : Que vais-je faire ? car je n’ai pas assez de place pour recueillir mes récoltes. 18 Voici, dit-il, ce que je vais faire : je vais démolir mes granges, j’en construirai de plus grandes, j’y recueillerai tout mon blé et mes biens, 19 tet alors je pourrai me dire : « Tu as beaucoup de biens en réserve, pour de nombreuses années ; repose-toi, mange, bois et fais la fête. » 20 tMais Dieu lui dit : Homme déraisonnable, cette nuit même ta vie te sera redemandée ! Et ce que tu as préparé, à qui cela ira-t-il ?

21 tAinsi en est-il de celui qui amasse des trésors pour lui-même et qui n’est pas riche pour Dieu.

Avoir confiance en Dieu

Mt 6.25-34


22  tIl dit ensuite à ses disciples : C’est pourquoi je vous dis : Ne vous inquiétez pas, pour votre vie, de ce que vous mangerez ni, pour votre corps, de ce dont vous serez vêtus. 23 Car la vie est plus que la nourriture, et le corps plus que le vêtement. 24 tConsidérez les corbeaux : ils ne sèment pas, ils ne moissonnent pas, ils n’ont ni cellier, ni grange ; et Dieu les nourrit. Or vous valez plus que les oiseaux, combien plus ! 25 tQui de vous peut, par ses inquiétudes, rallonger tant soit peu la durée de sa vie ? 26 tSi donc vous ne pouvez pas même la moindre chose, pourquoi vous inquiétez-vous du reste ? 27 tConsidérez comment poussent les lis : ils ne travaillent pas, ils ne filent pas ; cependant je vous dis que pas même Salomon, dans toute sa gloire, n’a été vêtu comme l’un d’eux. 28 tSi Dieu habille ainsi l’herbe qui est aujourd’hui dans les champs et qui demain sera jetée au four, à combien plus forte raison le fera-t-il pour vous, gens de peu de foi ! 29 tEt vous, ne cherchez pas ce que vous allez manger ou ce que vous allez boire, et ne vous tourmentez pas. 30 tTout cela, en effet, c’est ce que les gens de toutes les nations du monde recherchent sans relâche ; votre Père sait que vous en avez besoin. 31 tCherchez plutôt son règne, et cela vous sera donné par surcroît.

32 tN’aie pas peur, petit troupeau ; car il a plu à votre Père de vous donner le Royaume.

Un trésor dans les cieux

Mt 6.19-21


33  tVendez vos biens et donnez-les par des actes de compassion. Faites-vous des bourses qui ne s’usent pas, un trésor inépuisable dans les cieux, là où aucun voleur n’approche et où aucune mite ne ronge.

34 tCar là où est votre trésor, là aussi sera votre cœur.

Paraboles sur la vigilance


35  tTenez-vous prêts,la ceinture aux reins et les lampes allumées. 36 tVous aussi, soyez semblables à ces hommes qui attendent que leur maître revienne des noces, afin de lui ouvrir sitôt qu’il arrivera et frappera. 37 tHeureux ces esclaves que le maître, à son arrivée, trouvera en train de veiller !Amen, je vous le dis, il se mettra à son tour en tenue de travail, il les installera à table et il viendra les servir.

38 tQu’il arrive à la deuxième ou à la troisième veille, s’il les trouve ainsi, heureux sont-ils !

Mt 24.43-51


39  tSachez-le bien, si le maître de maison savait à quelle heure le voleur doit venir, il ne laisserait pas fracturer sa maison.

40 tVous aussi, soyez prêts, car le Fils de l’homme viendra à l’heure que vous ne pensez pas.
41  tPierre lui dit : Seigneur, est-ce à nous que tu adresses cette parabole, ou aussi à tous ? 42 tLe Seigneur dit : Quel est donc l’intendant avisé et digne de confiance que le maître nommera responsable de ses gens, pour leur donner leur ration de blé en temps voulu ? 43 tHeureux cet esclave, celui que son maître, à son arrivée, trouvera occupé de la sorte ! 44 tEn vérité, je vous le dis, il le nommera responsable de tous ses biens. 45 tMais si cet esclave se dit : « Mon maître tarde à venir », qu’il se mette à battre les serviteurs et les servantes, à manger, à boire et à s’enivrer,

46 tle maître de cet esclave viendra le jour où il ne s’y attend pas et à l’heure qu’il ne connaît pas, il le mettra en pièces et lui fera partager le sort des infidèles.
47  tL’esclave qui aura connu la volonté de son maître, mais qui n’aura rien préparé ni fait en vue de cette volonté sera battu d’un grand nombre de coups.

48 tEn revanche, celui qui ne l’aura pas connue et aura fait des choses qui méritent un châtiment ne sera battu que de peu de coups. A quiconque il a été beaucoup donné, il sera beaucoup demandé ; de celui à qui on a beaucoup confié, on exigera davantage.

Jésus, cause de division


49  tJe suis venu mettre un feu sur la terre ; comme je voudrais qu’il soit déjà allumé !

50 tJ’ai un baptême à recevoir ; comme cela me pèse d’ici qu’il soit accompli !

Mt 10.34-36


51  tPensez-vous que je sois venu donner la paix sur la terre ? Non, je vous le dis, mais plutôt la division. 52 tCar désormais cinq dans une maison seront divisés, trois contre deux et deux contre trois ;

53 tpère contre fils etfils contrepère, mère contre fille etfille contre mère, belle-mère contre belle-fille etbelle-fille contre belle-mère.

Comprendre le sens des temps


54  tIl disait encore aux foules : Quand vous voyez un nuage se lever à l’ouest, vous dites aussitôt : « La pluie vient. » Et cela arrive. 55 tEt quand c’est le vent du sud qui souffle, vous dites : « Il va faire chaud. » Et cela arrive.

56 tHypocrites, vous savez apprécier l’aspect de la terre et du ciel ; comment pouvez-vous ne pas savoir apprécier ce temps-ci ?

S’arranger avec son adversaire

Mt 5.25-26


57  tEt pourquoi ne jugez-vous pas par vous-mêmes de ce qui est juste ? 58 Lorsque tu vas avec ton adversaire devant un chef, tâche en chemin de te dégager de lui, de peur qu’il ne te traîne devant le juge, que le juge ne te livre à l’huissier, et que l’huissier ne te fasse mettre en prison. 59 tJe te le dis, tu n’en sortiras pas que tu n’aies payé jusqu’au dernier lepte.

Luke 12

1 In the mean time, when the many thousands of the multitude were gathered together, insomuch that they trod one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.2 But there is nothing covered up, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.3 Wherefore whatsoever ye have said in the darkness shall be heard in the light; and what ye have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.5 But I will warn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, who after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pence? and not one of them is forgotten in the sight of God.7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not: ye are of more value than many sparrows.8 And I say unto you, Every one who shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:9 but he that denieth me in the presence of men shall be denied in the presence of the angels of God.10 And every one who shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Spirit it shall not be forgiven.11 And when they bring you before the synagogues, and the rulers, and the authorities, be not anxious how or what ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:12 for the Holy Spirit shall teach you in that very hour what ye ought to say.13 And one out of the multitude said unto him, Teacher, bid my brother divide the inheritance with me.14 But he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and keep yourselves from all covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:17 and he reasoned within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have not where to bestow my fruits?18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my grain and my goods.19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, be merry.20 But God said unto him, Thou foolish one, this night is thy soul required of thee; and the things which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be?21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.23 For the life is more than the food, and the body than the raiment.24 Consider the ravens, that they sow not, neither reap; which have no store-chamber nor barn; and God feedeth them: of how much more value are ye than the birds!25 And which of you by being anxious can add a cubit unto the measure of his life?26 If then ye are not able to do even that which is least, why are ye anxious concerning the rest?27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they toil not, neither do they spin; yet I say unto you, Even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.28 But if God doth so clothe the grass in the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven; how much more shall he clothe you, O ye of little faith?29 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, and what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.30 For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: but your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.31 Yet seek ye his kingdom, and these things shall be added unto you.32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.33 Sell that which ye have, and give alms; make for yourselves purses which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief draweth near, neither moth destroyeth.34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lamps burning;36 and be ye yourselves like unto men looking for their lord, when he shall return from the marriage feast; that, when he cometh and knocketh, they may straightway open unto him.37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them sit down to meat, and shall come and serve them.38 And if he shall come in the second watch, and if in the third, and find them so blessed are those servants.39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not have left his house to be broken through.40 Be ye also ready: for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.41 And Peter said, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even unto all?42 And the Lord said, Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall set over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season?43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will set him over all that he hath.45 But if that servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;46 the lord of that servant shall come in a day when he expecteth not, and in an hour when he knoweth not, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint his portion with the unfaithful.47 And that servant, who knew his lord’s will, and made not ready, nor did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes;48 but he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And to whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required: and to whom they commit much, of him will they ask the more.49 I came to cast fire upon the earth; and what do I desire, if it is already kindled?50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!51 Think ye that I am come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:52 for there shall be from henceforth five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.53 They shall be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother in law against her daughter in law, and daughter in law against her mother in law.54 And he said to the multitudes also, When ye see a cloud rising in the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it cometh to pass.55 And when ye see a south wind blowing, ye say, There will be a scorching heat; and it cometh to pass.56 Ye hypocrites, ye know how to interpret the face of the earth and the heaven; but how is it that ye know not how to interpret this time?57 And why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?58 For as thou art going with thine adversary before the magistrate, on the way give diligence to be quit of him; lest haply he drag thee unto the judge, and the judge shall deliver thee to the officer, and the officer shall cast thee into prison.59 I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou have paid the very last mite.
