Les Galiléens massacrés par Pilate
1 tEn ce temps-là, quelques personnes vinrent lui raconter ce qui était arrivé à des Galiléens dont Pilate avait mêlé le sang à celui de leurs sacrifices. 2 tIl leur répondit : Pensez-vous que ces Galiléens aient été de plus grands pécheurs que tous les autres Galiléens, parce qu’ils ont souffert de la sorte ? 3 tNon, je vous le dis. Mais si vous ne changez pas radicalement, vous disparaîtrez tous de même. 4 tOu encore, ces dix-huit sur qui est tombée la tour de Siloam et qu’elle a tués, pensez-vous qu’ils aient été plus coupables que tous les autres habitants de Jérusalem ?
5 tNon, je vous le dis. Mais si vous ne changez pas radicalement, vous disparaîtrez tous pareillement.La parabole du figuier stérile
6 tIl disait aussi cette parabole : Un homme avait un figuier planté dans sa vigne. Il vint y chercher du fruit et n’en trouva pas. 7 tAlors il dit au vigneron : « Voilà trois ans que je viens chercher du fruit sur ce figuier, et je n’en trouve pas. Coupe-le donc : pourquoi occuperait-il la terre inutilement ? » 8 tLe vigneron lui répondit : « Maître, laisse-le encore cette année, le temps que je creuse tout autour et que j’y mette du fumier.
9 tPeut-être produira-t-il du fruit à l’avenir ; sinon, tu le couperas ! »Jésus guérit une femme infirme le jour du sabbat
10 tIl enseignait dans une des synagogues, un jour de sabbat. 11 tOr il y avait là une femme rendue infirme par un esprit depuis dix-huit ans ; elle était courbée et ne pouvait absolument pas se redresser. 12 tQuand il la vit, Jésus l’appela et lui dit : Femme, tu es délivrée de ton infirmité.
13 tEt il lui imposa les mains. A l’instant même elle se redressa et se mit à glorifier Dieu.
14 tMais le chef de la synagogue, indigné parce que Jésus avait réalisé cette guérison pendant le sabbat, disait à la foule : Il y a six jours pendant lesquels il faut travailler ; venez donc vous faire guérir ces jours-là, et non pas le jour du sabbat ! 15 tLe Seigneur lui répondit : Hypocrites, chacun de vous, pendant le sabbat, ne détache-t-il pas son bœuf ou son âne de la mangeoire pour le mener boire ? 16 tEt cette femme, qui est une fille d’Abraham et que le Satan tenait liée depuis dix-huit ans, il n’aurait pas fallu la détacher de ce lien le jour du sabbat ?
17 tTandis qu’il disait cela, tous ses adversaires étaient pris de honte, et toute la foule se réjouissait de toutes les choses glorieuses qu’il faisait.La parabole de la graine de moutarde

20 tIl dit encore : A quoi comparerai-je le règne de Dieu ?
21 tVoici à quoi il est semblable : du levain qu’une femme a pris et introduit dans troisséas de farine, jusqu’à ce que tout ait levé.La porte étroite
22 tIl traversait les villes et les villages, et il enseignait en faisant route vers Jérusalem.
23 tQuelqu’un lui dit : Seigneur, n’y aura-t-il que peu de gens sauvés ? Il leur répondit : 24 tEfforcez-vous d’entrer par la porte étroite. Car, je vous le dis, beaucoup chercheront à entrer et ne le pourront pas. 25 tDès que le maître de maison se sera levé et aura fermé la porte, et que, restés dehors, vous commencerez à frapper à la porte et à dire : « Seigneur, ouvre-nous ! », il vous répondra : « Vous, je ne sais pas d’où vous êtes. » 26 Alors vous commencerez à dire : « Nous avons mangé et bu devant toi, et tu as enseigné dans nos grandes rues ! » 27 tEt il vous répondra : « Vous, je ne sais pas d’où vous êtes ;éloignez-vous de moi, vous tous qui commettez l’injustice ! » 28 tC’est là qu’il y aura des pleurs et des grincements de dents, quand vous verrez Abraham, Isaac, Jacob et tous les prophètes dans le royaume de Dieu, et que vous serez chassés dehors. 29 tOn viendra de l’est et de l’ouest, du nord et du sud pour s’installer à table dans le royaume de Dieu.
30 tAinsi, il y a des derniers qui seront premiers et des premiers qui seront derniers.Jésus et Jérusalem
31 tA ce moment même, quelques pharisiens vinrent lui dire : Va-t’en, pars d’ici, car Hérode veut te tuer. 32 tIl leur dit : Allez dire à ce renard : Je chasse des démons et j’accomplis des guérisons aujourd’hui et demain ; le troisième jour, j’en aurai fini.
33 tMais il faut que je poursuive ma route aujourd’hui, demain et le jour suivant ; car il n’est pas possible qu’on fasse périr un prophète hors de Jérusalem.Mt 23.37-39
34 tJérusalem, Jérusalem, toi qui tues les prophètes et qui lapides ceux qui te sont envoyés, combien de fois j’ai voulu rassembler tes enfants comme une poule rassemble sa couvée sous ses ailes ! Mais vous ne l’avez pas voulu.
35 tEh bien, votre maison vous est abandonnée. Je vous le dis, vous ne me verrez plus jusqu’à ce que vienne le moment où vous direz :
Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur !

1 Now there were some present at that very season who told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.2 And he answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they have suffered these things?3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish.4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem?5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.6 And he spake this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none.7 And he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground?8 And he answering saith unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:9 and if it bear fruit thenceforth, well; but if not, thou shalt cut it down.10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath day.11 And behold, a woman that had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years; and she was bowed together, and could in no wise lift herself up.12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.13 And he laid his hands upon her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.14 And the ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of the sabbath.15 But the Lord answered him, and said, Ye hypocrites, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo, these eighteen years, to have been loosed from this bond on the day of the sabbath?17 And as he said these things, all his adversaries were put to shame: and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.18 He said therefore, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I liken it?19 It is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a tree; and the birds of the heaven lodged in the branches thereof.20 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?21 It is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.22 And he went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and journeying on unto Jerusalem.23 And one said unto him, Lord, are they few that are saved? And he said unto them,24 Strive to enter in by the narrow door: for many, I say unto you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able.25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not whence ye are;26 then shall ye begin to say, We did eat and drink in thy presence, and thou didst teach in our streets;27 and he shall say, I tell you, I know not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.28 There shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves cast forth without.29 And they shall come from the east and west, and from the north and south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.30 And behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.31 In that very hour there came certain Pharisees, saying to him, Get thee out, and go hence: for Herod would fain kill thee.32 And he said unto them, Go and say to that fox, Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures to-day and to-morrow, and the third day I am perfected.33 Nevertheless I must go on my way to-day and to-morrow and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
