누가복음서 13

회개하지 않으면 망한다

1 바로 그 때에 몇몇 사람이 와서, 빌라도가 갈릴리 사람들을 학살해서 그 피를 그들이 바치려던 희생제물에 섞었다는 사실을 예수께 일러드렸다. 2 예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. “이 갈릴리 사람들이 이런 변을 당했다고 해서, 다른 모든 갈릴리 사람보다 더 큰 죄인이라고 생각하느냐? 3 그렇지 않다. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 너희도 회개하지 않으면, 모두 그렇게 망할 것이다. 4 또 실로암에 있는 탑이 무너져서 치여 죽은 열여덟 사람은 예루살렘에 사는 다른 모든 사람보다 더 많이 죄를 지은 사람이라고 생각하느냐? 5 그렇지 않다. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 너희도 회개하지 않으면, 모두 그렇게 망할 것이다.”

열매를 맺지 못하는 무화과나무의 비유

6  예수께서는 이런 비유를 말씀하셨다. “어떤 사람이 자기 포도원에다가 무화과나무를 한 그루 심었는데, 그 나무에서 열매를 얻을까 하고 왔으나, 찾지 못하였다. 7 그래서 그는 포도원지기에게 말하였다. ‘보아라, 내가 세 해나 이 무화과나무에서 열매를 얻을까 하고 왔으나, 열매를 본 적이 없다. 찍어 버려라. 무엇 때문에 땅만 버리게 하겠느냐?’ 8 그러자 포도원지기가 그에게 말하였다. ‘주인님, 올해만 그냥 두십시오. 그 동안에 내가 그 둘레를 파고 거름을 주겠습니다. 9 그렇게 하면, 다음 철에 열매를 맺을지도 모릅니다. 그 때에 가서도 열매를 맺지 못하면, 찍어 버리십시오.’”

안식일에 등 굽은 여자를 고치시다

10  예수께서 안식일에 회당에서 가르치고 계셨다. 11 그런데 거기에 열여덟 해 동안이나 병마에 시달리고 있는 여자가 있었는데, 그는 허리가 굽어 있어서, 몸을 조금도 펼 수 없었다. 12 예수께서는 이 여자를 보시고, 가까이 불러서 말씀하시기를, “여자야, 너는 병에서 풀려났다” 하시고, 13 그 여자에게 손을 얹으셨다. 그러자 그 여자는 곧 허리를 펴고, 하나님께 영광을 돌렸다. 14 그런데 회당장은, 예수께서 안식일에 병을 고치신 것에 분개하여 무리에게 말하였다. “일을 해야 할 날이 엿새가 있으니, 엿새 가운데서 어느 날에든지 와서, 고침을 받으시오. 그러나 안식일에는 그렇게 하지 마시오.” 15 주님께서 그에게 대답하셨다. “너희 위선자들아, 너희는 저마다 안식일에도 소나 나귀를 외양간에서 풀어내어, 끌고 나가서 물을 먹이지 않느냐? 16 그렇다면, 아브라함의 딸인 이 여자가 열여덟 해 동안이나 사탄에게 매여 있었으니, 안식일에라도 이 매임을 풀어 주어야 하지 않겠느냐?” 17 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시니, 그를 반대하던 사람들은 모두 부끄러워하였고, 무리는 모두 예수께서 하신 모든 영광스러운 일을 두고 기뻐하였다.

겨자씨와 누룩의 비유

(마 13:31-33; 막 4:30-32)

18  예수께서 말씀하셨다. “하나님 나라는 무엇과 같은가? 그것을 무엇에다가 비길까? 19 그것은 겨자씨의 다음 경우와 같다. 어떤 사람이 겨자씨를 가져다가 자기 정원에 심었더니, 자라서 나무가 되어, 공중의 새들이 그 가지에 깃들였다.” 20  예수께서 다시 말씀하셨다. “하나님 나라를 무엇에다가 비길까? 21 그것은 누룩의 다음 경우와 같다. 어떤 여자가 누룩을 가져다가, 가루 서 t말 속에 t섞어 넣었더니, 마침내 온통 부풀어올랐다.”

좁은 문으로 들어가기를 힘써라

(마 7:13-14, 21-23)

22  예수께서 여러 성읍과 마을에 들르셔서, 가르치시면서 예루살렘으로 여행하셨다. 23 그런데 어떤 사람이 예수께 물었다. “주님, 구원받을 사람은 적습니까?” 예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. 24 “너희는 좁은 문으로 들어가기를 힘써라. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 들어가려고 해도 들어가지 못하는 사람이 많을 것이다. 25 집주인이 일어나서, 문을 닫아 버리면, 너희가 밖에 서서 문을 두드리면서 ‘주인님, 문을 열어 주십시오’ 하고 졸라도, 주인은 ‘너희가 어디에서 왔는지, 나는 모른다’ 하고 대답할 것이다. 26 그 때에 너희가 말하기를 ‘우리는 주인님 앞에서 먹고 마셨으며, 주인님은 우리를 길거리에서 가르치셨습니다’ 할 터이나, 27 주인이 너희에게 말하기를 ‘나는 너희가 어디에서 왔는지 모른다. 불의를 일삼는 자들아, 모두 내게서 물러가거라’ 할 것이다. 28 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱과 모든 예언자는 하나님 나라 안에 있는데, 너희는 바깥으로 쫓겨난 것을 너희가 보게 될 때에, 거기서 슬피 울면서 이를 갈 것이다. 29 사람들이 동과 서에서, 또 남과 북에서 와서, 하나님 나라 잔치 자리에 앉을 것이다. 30 보아라, 꼴찌가 첫째가 될 사람이 있고, 첫째가 꼴찌가 될 사람이 있다.”

예루살렘을 보고 한탄하시다

(마 23:37-39)

31 바로 그 때에 몇몇 바리새파 사람들이 다가와서 예수께 말하였다. “여기에서 떠나가십시오. 헤롯 왕이 당신을 죽이고자 합니다.” 32 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “가서, 그 여우에게 전하기를 ‘보아라, 오늘과 내일은 내가 귀신을 내쫓고 병을 고칠 것이요, 사흘째 되는 날에는 내 일을 끝낸다’ 하여라. 33 그러나 오늘도 내일도 그 다음 날도, 나는 내 길을 가야 하겠다. 예언자가 예루살렘이 아닌 다른 곳에서는 죽을 수 없기 때문이다. 34 예루살렘아, 예루살렘아, 예언자들을 죽이고, 네게 파송된 사람들을 돌로 치는구나! 암탉이 제 새끼를 날개 아래에 품듯이, 내가 몇 번이나 네 자녀를 모아 품으려 하였더냐! 그러나 너희는 그것을 원하지 않았다. 35 보아라, 너희의 집은 버림을 받을 것이다. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 너희가 말하기를 t‘주님의 이름으로 오시는 분은 복되시다’ 할 그 때가 오기까지, 너희는 나를 다시는 보지 못할 것이다.”

LUKE 13

Turn Back to God

1 About this same time Jesus was told that Pilate had given orders for some people from Galilee to be killed while they were offering sacrifices.

2 Jesus replied:
Do you think that these people were worse sinners than everyone else in Galilee just because of what happened to them? 3 Not at all! But you can be sure that if you don't turn back to God, every one of you will also be killed. 4 What about those 18 people who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them? Do you think they were worse than everyone else in Jerusalem?

5 Not at all! But you can be sure that if you don't turn back to God, every one of you will also die.

A Story about a Fig Tree

6 Jesus then told them this story:
A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard. One day he went out to pick some figs, but he didn't find any.

7 So he said to the gardener, “For three years I have come looking for figs on this tree, and I haven't found any yet. Chop it down! Why should it take up space?”
8 The gardener answered, “Master, leave it for another year. I'll dig around it and put some manure on it to make it grow.

9 Maybe it will have figs on it next year. If it doesn't, you can have it cut down.”

Healing a Woman //on the Sabbath

10 One Sabbath, Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, 11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by an evil spirit for 18 years. She was completely bent over and could not straighten up. 12 When Jesus saw the woman, he called her over and said, “You are now well.”

13 He placed his hands on her, and at once she stood up straight and praised God.

14  t The man in charge of the synagogue was angry because Jesus had healed someone on the Sabbath. So he said to the people, “Each week has six days when we can work. Come and be healed on one of those days, but not on the Sabbath.”
15 The Lord replied, “Are you trying to fool someone? Won't any one of you untie your ox or donkey and lead it out to drink on a Sabbath? 16 This woman belongs to the family of Abraham, but Satan has kept her bound for 18 years. Isn't it right to set her free on the Sabbath?”

17 Jesus' words made his enemies ashamed. But everyone else in the crowd was happy about the wonderful things he was doing.

A Mustard Seed and Yeast

(Matthew 13.31-33; Mark 4.30-32)

18 Jesus said, “What is God's kingdom like? What can I compare it with?

19 It is like what happens when someone plants a mustard seed in a garden. The seed grows as big as a tree, and birds nest in its branches.”
20 Then Jesus said, “What can I compare God's kingdom with?

21 It is like what happens when a woman mixes yeast into three batches of flour. Finally, all the dough rises.”

The Narrow Door

(Matthew 7.13,14,21-23)

22 As Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem, he taught the people in the towns and villages.

23 Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?”
Jesus answered:
24 Do all you can to go in by the narrow door! A lot of people will try to get in, but will not be able to.

25 Once the owner of the house gets up and locks the door, you will be left standing outside. You will knock on the door and say, “Sir, open the door for us!”
But the owner will answer, “I don't know a thing about you! ”

26 Then you will start saying, “We dined with you, and you taught in our streets.”

27  t But he will say, “I really don't know who you are! Get away from me, you evil people!”
28  t t Then when you have been thrown outside, you will weep and grit your teeth because you will see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in God's kingdom. 29 People will come from all directions and sit down to feast in God's kingdom.

30 t There the ones who are now least important will be the most important, and those who are now most important will be least important.

Jesus and Herod

31 At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said, “You had better get away from here, because Herodt wants to kill you!”

32 Jesus said to them:
Go tell that fox, “I am going to force out demons and heal people today and tomorrow, and three days later I'll be through.”

33 But I am going on my way today and tomorrow and the next day. After all, Jerusalem is the place where prophets are killed.

Jesus Loves Jerusalem

(Matthew 23.37-39)

34  t Jerusalem, Jerusalem! Your people have killed the prophets and have stoned the messengers who were sent to you. I have often wanted to gather your people, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. But you wouldn't let me.

35 t Now your temple will be deserted. You won't see me again until the time when you say,
“Blessed is the one who comes
in the name of the Lord.”
