ルカによる福音書 13

一三

1 　そのころ、ガリラヤ出身のユダヤ人が数名、エルサレムの神殿で供え物をしていた時、ピラトに殺害されたというニュースが、イエスに伝えられました。
2 　これを聞いたイエスは、逆に、お尋ねになりました。　「あなたがたは、この人たちが、ほかの、どのガリラヤ出身の人よりも罪が深かったから、こんな災難に会ったと思うのですか。　3 それは違います。　あなたがただって、今の悪い行ないをやめて神に立ち返らなければ、同じように滅びるのです。
4 　そうそう、シロアムの塔の下敷きになって死んだ人がいました。確か......十八人でした。　彼らのことはどう思いますか。　エルサレムで一番罪深い人たちだったのでしょうか。　5 とんでもありません。　あなたがたも罪を悔い改めないなら、同じように滅びるのです。」
6 　そして、次のようなたとえ話をなさいました。
「ある人が、ぶどう園にいちじくの木を植えました。　そして、実がなっているかどうか、何度も何度も、見に行きました。　ところが、期待はいつも裏切られてばかりです。　7 とうとう主人は頭にきて、『こんなろくでもない木は切り倒してしまえっ！』と番人に命じました。　『三年だぞ。　三年も待ったというのに、一つも実がならない。　もうこれ以上、手をかけることはない。　全く場所ふさぎもいいとこだ。』
8 　すると番人が、何とか思いとどまらせようと、なだめにかかりました。　『まあまあ、ご主人様。　もう一年、もう一年だけお待ちください。　特に念入りに、肥料をやってみましょう。　9 それで来年実がなれば、もうけもの。　だめで、もともとです。　それから切り倒しても遅くはありません。』」
10 　ある安息日のこと、イエスは会堂で教えておられました。　11 そこに、十八年もの間、腰が曲がったきりで、全然伸ばすことのできない女がいました。
12 　イエスは女をそばへ呼び、「さあ、あなたの病気は治りましたよ」とおっしゃいました。　13 イエスがさわると、どうでしょう。　たちまち腰はしゃんとなったではありませんか。　女は喜びを抑えきれず、神をあがめ、賛美しました。
14 　ところが、会堂のいっさいの責任を持っていた、この地方のユダヤ人の指導者は、それが安息日だというので、もうれつに腹を立て、群衆に怒りをぶちまけました。　「よりによって安息日に病気を治してもらうなど、もってのほかだっ！　仕事のできる日は、一週間に六日もあるだろうが。　その間に治してもらえ。」
15 　「いいえ、あなたがたこそ偽善者です。　安息日に働いていないと言いきれるのですか。　安息日でも、家畜を小屋から出してやり、水を飲ませに連れて行くではありませんか。　16 わたしは今、十八年もの間サタンに束縛されていた、ユダヤ人の女を解放してあげたのです。　たまたまそれが安息日だったからといって、どこがいけないのですか。」
17 　このイエスのことばに、敵対する者たちは、ぐうの音も出ず、恥じ入るばかりでした。　群衆はと言うと、イエスの行なったすばらしい奇蹟に大喜びです。
18 　そこでイエスは、神の国について教え始められました。
「神の国は何に似ているでしょう。　どういうふうに説明したらいいでしょう。　19 そう、神の国は畑にまいた小さなからしの種みたいです。　やがて、大きな木に生長し、鳥が枝に巣をかけるほどになるのです。　20-21 また神の国は、パン生地の中のイースト菌のようだとも言えます。　目には見えないけれども、少しずつ確実に作用して、パン全体を大きくふくらませるのです。」
22 　イエスは町々村々を通り、人々に教えながら、ひたすらエルサレムへと進んで行かれました。
23 　ある人がイエスに、「救われる人は少ないのでしょうか」と尋ねました。
　イエスはお答えになりました。
24 　「天国への戸は狭いのです。　できるかぎりの努力をして、そこから入りなさい。　よく言っておきますが、入ろうとしても、入れない人が大ぜいいるのです。
25 　家の主人が戸を閉めてからでは遅すぎます。　外に立ち、どんどんたたきながら、『ご主人様ーっ！　開けてくださーい、お願いでございまーす』と、なりふりかまわず頼んでも、中からは『おまえたちなんか、全然知らないね』と、冷たい返事が返ってくるだけです。
26 　それでもあきらめず、『何かのおまちがいでは？　私どもは、あなた様と食事をごいっしょしたこともありますし、大通りで、あなた様から教えていただきました』と食い下がります。
27 　けれども主人は、けんもほろろに答えるのです。　『おまえたちなど知らないと言うのが、聞こえんのかっ！　おまえたちのような悪党は、ここには入れないのだ。　とっとと行ってしまえっ！』
28 　アブラハム、イサク、ヤコブ、それに預言者たちもみな神の国に入っているのに、あなたがたはいつまでも外に立ち尽くして、泣きわめき、歯ぎしりするのです。　29 一方人々は、あちらからもこちらからも来て、神の国に迎え入れられ、席に着きます。　30 いいですか。このことは肝に銘じておきなさい。　今は軽んじられている者が、その時には大いにほめたたえられ、今は重んじられている者が、その時には最も軽んじられるのです。」
31 　ちょうどその時、パリサイ人が数人、つかつかと歩み寄り、イエスに忠告しました。　「いのちが惜しかったら、ここから出て行きなさい。　ヘロデ王があなたをねらっています。」
32 　イエスはお答えになりました。　「あのきつねにこう言ってやりなさい。　今日も、明日も、わたしは悪霊を追い出し、病気を治します。　そして三日目に、目的を達成します。　33 そうです。　今日も、明日も、その次の日も、わたしは進んで行くのです。　神から遣わされた預言者が、エルサレム以外の場所で殺されることは、ありえないからです。
34 　ああ、エルサレム、エルサレム。　なんという町でしょう。　預言者たちを殺し、町を救うために遣わされた人たちを石で打ち殺すとは。　めんどりがひなを翼の下にかばうように、何度あなたの子供たちを集めようとしたことでしょう。　しかし、あなたがたは、それを拒んだのです。　35 だから今、あなたがたの家は、荒れ果てたまま見捨てられます。　はっきり言いましょう。　あなたがたが、『主の名によって来られる方、ようこそ』と言うその日まで、わたしの姿を二度と見ることはないのです。」

Luke 13

1 Now there were some present at that very season who told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.2 And he answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they have suffered these things?3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish.4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem?5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.6 And he spake this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking fruit thereon, and found none.7 And he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why doth it also cumber the ground?8 And he answering saith unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:9 and if it bear fruit thenceforth, well; but if not, thou shalt cut it down.10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath day.11 And behold, a woman that had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years; and she was bowed together, and could in no wise lift herself up.12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.13 And he laid his hands upon her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.14 And the ruler of the synagogue, being moved with indignation because Jesus had healed on the sabbath, answered and said to the multitude, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the day of the sabbath.15 But the Lord answered him, and said, Ye hypocrites, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound, lo, these eighteen years, to have been loosed from this bond on the day of the sabbath?17 And as he said these things, all his adversaries were put to shame: and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.18 He said therefore, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I liken it?19 It is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his own garden; and it grew, and became a tree; and the birds of the heaven lodged in the branches thereof.20 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?21 It is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till it was all leavened.22 And he went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and journeying on unto Jerusalem.23 And one said unto him, Lord, are they few that are saved? And he said unto them,24 Strive to enter in by the narrow door: for many, I say unto you, shall seek to enter in, and shall not be able.25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he shall answer and say to you, I know you not whence ye are;26 then shall ye begin to say, We did eat and drink in thy presence, and thou didst teach in our streets;27 and he shall say, I tell you, I know not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.28 There shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and yourselves cast forth without.29 And they shall come from the east and west, and from the north and south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.30 And behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.31 In that very hour there came certain Pharisees, saying to him, Get thee out, and go hence: for Herod would fain kill thee.32 And he said unto them, Go and say to that fox, Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures to-day and to-morrow, and the third day I am perfected.33 Nevertheless I must go on my way to-day and to-morrow and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth the prophets, and stoneth them that are sent unto her! how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her own brood under her wings, and ye would not!35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
