4 แต่_พวก_เขา_ไม่_ตอบ พระ_เยซู_จึง_จับ_ต้อง_ตัว_ชาย_คน_นั้น และ_รักษา_เขา_แล้ว_ส่ง_เขา_กลับ_ไป

5 พระองค์_หัน_มา_ถาม_พวก_นั้น_ว่า “ถ้า_ลูก_ของ_คุณ_หรือ_วัว_ของ_คุณ_ตก_บ่อ_ใน_วัน_หยุด พวก_คุณ_จะ_ไม่_รีบ_ช่วย_ดึง_ขึ้น_มา_หรือ”

อย่า_คิด_ว่า_ตัวเอง_สำคัญ_กว่า_คน_อื่น

7 เมื่อ_พระ_เยซู_เห็น_ว่า_แขก_ที่_มา_ใน_งาน_ชอบ_เลือก_นั่ง_ใน_ที่_ที่_มี_เกียรติ พระองค์_ก็_เลย_ใช้_เรื่อง_เปรียบ_เทียบ_สอน_ว่า

8 “เมื่อ_มี_คน_เชิญ_คุณ_ไป_งาน_แต่งงาน อย่า_ไป_เลือก_นั่ง_ใน_ที่_ที่_มี_เกียรติ เพราะ_เจ้าภาพ_อาจ_จะ_เชิญ_แขก_ที่_สำคัญ_กว่า_คุณ_มา

9 แล้ว_เขา_จะ_มา_บอก_กับ_คุณ_ว่า ‘ช่วย_ลุก_ให้_แขก_คน_นี้_นั่ง_หน่อย’ คุณ_ก็_จะ_อับอาย_ขายหน้า และ_ต้อง_เลื่อน_ไป_นั่ง_ที่_ที่_ไม่_มี_เกียรติ

10 ทำ_อย่าง_นี้_สิ เวลา_ไป_งาน_เลี้ยง_ให้_ไป_นั่ง_ใน_ที่_ที่_ไม่_มี_เกียรติ ซึ่ง_เมื่อ_เจ้าภาพ_เห็น_ก็_จะ_มา_บอก_กับ_คุณ_ว่า ‘เพื่อน_รัก ย้าย_ขึ้น_มา_นั่ง_ใน_ที่_ที่_มี_เกียรติ_นี้_เถิด’ คุณ_ก็_จะ_ได้_หน้า_ต่อ_หน้า_แขก_คน_อื่นๆ

11 เพราะ_คน_ที่_ยก_ตัวเอง_จะ_ต้อง_ถูก_กด_ลง และ_คน_ที่_ถ่อมตัว จะ_ถูก_ยก_ขึ้น”

คุณ_จะ_ได้_รับ_รางวัล

12 แล้ว_พระ_เยซู_ก็_หัน_มา_พูด_กับ_เจ้า_ของ_บ้าน_ว่า “เมื่อ_คุณ_จัด_งาน_เลี้ยง_มื้อ_กลาง_วัน หรือ_มื้อ_เย็น_ก็_ตาม อย่า_เชิญ_เพื่อน_ฝูง ญาติ_พี่_น้อง_หรือ_เพื่อน_บ้าน_ที่_มี_อัน_จะ_กิน_มา เพราะ_คน_พวก_นี้_จะ_เลี้ยง_ตอบแทน

13 แต่_เมื่อ_คุณ_จัด_งาน_เลี้ยง ให้_เชิญ_คน_ยากจน คน_พิการ คน_ขา_เป๋ คน_ตาบอด

14 เพราะ_คน_พวก_นี้_ไม่_สามารถ_จ่าย_คืน_ได้ แต่_พระเจ้า_จะ_ให้_เกียรติ และ_ให้_รางวัล_กับ_คุณ ใน_วัน_ที่_คน_ที่_ทำ_ตามใจ_พระเจ้า_จะ_ฟื้น_ขึ้น_จาก_ความ_ตาย”

เรื่องราว_เกี่ยว_กับ_งาน_เลี้ยง_ครั้ง_ใหญ่

15 มี_ชาย_คน_หนึ่ง_ที่_กิน_อยู่_ที่_นั่น เมื่อ_ได้_ยิน_เรื่อง_นี้_ก็_พูด_กับ_พระ_เยซู_ว่า “ถือ_ว่า_เป็น_เกียรติ_จริงๆ_สำหรับ_คน_ที่_ได้_กิน_อาหาร_ที่_งาน_เลี้ยง_ใน_อาณา_จักร_ของ_พระเจ้า”

16 พระ_เยซู_ก็_ตอบ_เป็น_เรื่อง_เปรียบ_เทียบ_ว่า “มี_ชาย_คน_หนึ่ง_จัด_งาน_เลี้ยง_ใหญ่_โต และ_เชิญ_แขก_มา_มาก_มาย

17 เมื่อ_เตรียม_ทุก_อย่าง_เรียบร้อย_แล้ว เขา_ก็_ส่ง_คน_ใช้_ออก_ไป_บอก_กับ_แขก_ทั้งหลาย_ว่า ‘มา_ได้_แล้ว_ครับ ทุก_อย่าง_พร้อม_แล้ว’

18 แต่_แขก_แต่_ละ_คน_ก็_แก้_ตัว_กัน_ต่างๆ_นานา คน_แรก_บอก_ว่า ‘ขอโทษ_ที ไป_ไม่_ได้ ต้อง_ไป_ดูแล_นา_ที่_เพิ่ง_ซื้อ_มา_ใหม่’

19 อีก_คน_หนึ่ง_ก็_บอก_ว่า ‘ขอโทษ_ที_ไป_ไม่_ได้ เพิ่ง_ซื้อ_วัว_มา_ห้า_คู่ ต้อง_ไป_ทด_สอบ_มัน_ดู_หน่อย’

20 อีก_คน_หนึ่ง_ก็_บอก_ว่า ‘เพิ่ง_แต่งงาน ไป_ไม่_ได้_หรอก’

21 เมื่อ_คน_ใช้_กลับ_มา_เล่า_เรื่อง_ทั้ง_หมด_ให้_เจ้า_นาย_ฟัง เจ้า_นาย_ก็_โกรธ_มาก จึง_สั่ง_คน_ใช้_ว่า ‘รีบ_ไป_ที่_ถนน_ตาม_ตรอก_ซอก_ซอย_ใน_เมือง_นี้ และ_พา_คน_ยากจน คน_พิการ คน_ขา_เป๋_และ_คน_ตาบอด_มา_ที่_นี่’

22 ต่อมา คน_ใช้_นั้น_มา_ราย_งาน_เจ้า_นาย_ว่า ‘ผม_ทำ_ตาม_ที่_ท่าน_สั่ง_แล้ว แต่_ก็_ยัง_มี_ที่_ว่าง_เหลือ_อยู่_อีก’

23 เจ้า_นาย_จึง_สั่ง_ว่า ‘ถ้า_งั้น ให้_ออก_ไป_ถนน_นอก_เมือง_และ_ตาม_ถนน_ใน_ชนบท ไป_เร่งเร้า_พวก_เขา_มา ให้_บ้าน_ของ_เรา_เต็ม_ให้_ได้

24 เรา_ขอ_บอก_ให้_รู้_ว่า พวก_นั้น_ที่_เรา_ได้_เชิญ_ใน_ตอน_แรก จะ_ไม่_มี_ใคร_ได้_ชิม_อาหาร_ใน_งาน_เลี้ยง_ของ_เรา_เลย’”

คุ้มไหม_ที่_จะ_ติด_ตาม_พระ_เยซู

25 ผู้คน_มาก_มาย_เดิน_ตาม_พระ_เยซู_ไป พระองค์_หัน_มา_พูด_กับ_พวก_เขา_ว่า

26 “ถ้า_พวก_คุณ_อยาก_เป็น_ศิษย์_ของ_เรา คุณ_ต้อง_เกลียดt พ่อ_แม่ เมีย ลูกๆ_รวม_ทั้ง_พี่_น้อง_และ_ชีวิต_ของ_ตัวเอง

27 คน_ที่_ไม่_ได้_แบก_กางเขน_ของ_ตัวเอง_ตาม_เรา_มา ก็_เป็น_ศิษย์_ของ_เรา_ไม่_ได้

28 สมมุติ_ว่า คุณ_ต้อง_การ_จะ_สร้าง_หอคอย สิ่ง_แรก_ที่_คุณ_ต้อง_ทำ_คือ ต้อง_คิด_ราคา_ค่า_ก่อ_สร้าง_ก่อน ดู_ว่า_มี_เงิน_พอ_หรือ_เปล่า

29 เพราะ_ไม่_อย่าง_นั้น เมื่อ_คุณ_ลง_ฐาน_แล้ว_เกิด_เงิน_หมด_ก็_ต้อง_หยุด_สร้าง คน_อื่น_เห็น_ก็_จะ_หัวเราะเยาะ_เอา_ได้

30 ว่า ‘คน_นี้_ลงมือ_สร้าง แต่_ไม่_มี_ปัญญา_สร้าง_ให้_เสร็จ’

31 หรือ_สมมุติ_ว่า_กษัตริย์_องค์_หนึ่ง_จะ_ออก_ไป_ทำ_สงคราม_กับ_กษัตริย์_อีก_องค์_หนึ่ง เขา_จะ_ไม่_นั่ง_ลง_วางแผน_ก่อน_หรือ ว่า_ทหาร_หนึ่ง_หมื่น_คน_ของ_เขา_จะ_ไป_สู้_ชนะ_ทหาร_สอง_หมื่น_คน_ที่_ยก_ทัพ_มา_ได้_หรือ_เปล่า

32 ถ้า_เขา_คิด_ว่า_สู้_ไม่_ได้ เขา_จะ_ต้อง_รีบ_ส่ง_คน_ไป_เจรจา_ขอ_สงบ_ศึก ใน_ขณะ_ที่_กอง_ทัพ_นั้น_ยัง_อยู่_อีก_ไกล

33 ก็_เหมือน_กัน ถ้า_คุณ_ไม่_ยอม_สละ_ทุก_สิ่ง_ที่_คุณ_มี_อยู่ คุณ_ก็_เป็น_ศิษย์_ของ_เรา_ไม่_ได้”

เกลือ_ที่_หมด_ค่า

34 “เกลือ_เป็น_สิ่ง_ดี แต่_ถ้า_เกลือ_นั้น_หมด_รส_เค็ม_แล้ว ก็_จะ_ทำ_ให้_มัน_เค็ม_อีก_ได้_อย่าง_ไร

35 จะ_เอา_ไป_ใส่_ดิน_หรือ_ผสม_กับ_ปุ๋ย_ก็_ไม่_ได้ มี_แต่_ต้อง_โยน_ทิ้ง_ไป_เท่า_นั้น คน_ที่_มี_หู_ก็_ฟัง_เอา_ไว้_ให้_ดี”

Luke 14

Jesus Heals on the Sabbath

1 It happened that when He went into the house of one of the leaders of the Pharisees on the Sabbath to eat bread, they were watching Him closely.2 And there in front of Him was a man suffering from dropsy.3 And Jesus answered and spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?"4 But they kept silent. And He took hold of him and healed him, and sent him away.5 And He said to them, "Which one of you will have a son or an ox fall into a well, and will not immediately pull him out on a Sabbath day?"6 And they could make no reply to this.

Parable of the Guests

7 And He began speaking a parable to the invited guests when He noticed how they had been picking out the places of honor at the table, saying to them,8 "When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for someone more distinguished than you may have been invited by him,9 and he who invited you both will come and say to you, 'Give your place to this man,' and then in disgrace you proceed to occupy the last place.10 But when you are invited, go and recline at the last place, so that when the one who has invited you comes, he may say to you, 'Friend, move up higher'; then you will have honor in the sight of all who are at the table with you.11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

12 And He also went on to say to the one who had invited Him, "When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you in return and that will be your repayment.13 But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,14 and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous."

15 When one of those who were reclining at the table with Him heard this, he said to Him, "Blessed is everyone who will eat bread in the kingdom of God!"

Parable of the Dinner

16 But He said to him, "A man was giving a big dinner, and he invited many;17 and at the dinner hour he sent his slave to say to those who had been invited, 'Come; for everything is ready now.'18 But they all alike began to make excuses. The first one said to him, 'I have bought a piece of land and I need to go out and look at it; please consider me excused.'19 Another one said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out; please consider me excused.'20 Another one said, 'I have married a wife, and for that reason I cannot come.'21 And the slave came back and reported this to his master. Then the head of the household became angry and said to his slave, 'Go out at once into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here the poor and crippled and blind and lame.'22 And the slave said, 'Master, what you commanded has been done, and still there is room.'23 And the master said to the slave, 'Go out into the highways and along the hedges, and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.24 For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste of my dinner.'"

Discipleship Tested

25 Now large crowds were going along with Him; and He turned and said to them,26 "If anyone comes to Me, and does not thate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.27 Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.28 For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it?29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him,30 saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.'31 Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one coming against him with twenty thousand?32 Or else, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace.33 So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions.

34 "Therefore, salt is good; but if even salt has become tasteless, with what will it be seasoned?35 It is useless either for the soil or for the manure pile; it is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
