Jésus accueille les pécheurs
1 tTous les collecteurs des taxes et les pécheurs s’approchaient de lui pour l’entendre.
2 tLes pharisiens et les scribes maugréaient : Il accueille des pécheurs et il mange avec eux !La parabole du mouton perdu et retrouvé
Mt 18.12-14
3 tMais il leur dit cette parabole : 4 tQuel homme d’entre vous, s’il a cent moutons et qu’il en perde un, ne laisse les quatre-vingt-dix-neuf autres dans le désert pour aller après celui qui est perdu, jusqu’à ce qu’il le retrouve ? 5 tLorsqu’il l’a retrouvé, il le met sur ses épaules, tout joyeux, 6 tet, de retour chez lui, il appelle ses amis et ses voisins pour leur dire : « Réjouissez-vous avec moi, car j’ai retrouvé mon mouton, qui était perdu ! »
7 tDe même, je vous le dis, il y aura plus de joie dans le ciel pour un seul pécheur qui change radicalement que pour quatre-vingt-dix-neuf justes qui n’ont pas besoin d’un changement radical.La parabole de la drachme perdue et retrouvée
8 tOu bien quelle femme, si elle a dix drachmes et qu’elle perde une drachme, n’allume une lampe, ne balaie la maison et ne cherche avec soin, jusqu’à ce qu’elle la retrouve ? 9 tLorsqu’elle l’a retrouvée, elle appelle chez elle ses amies et ses voisines et dit : « Réjouissez-vous avec moi, car j’ai retrouvé la drachme que j’avais perdue ! »
10 tDe même, je vous le dis, il y a de la joie devant les anges de Dieu pour un seul pécheur qui change radicalement.La parabole du fils perdu et retrouvé
11 tIl dit encore : Un homme avait deux fils. 12 tLe plus jeune dit à son père : « Père, donne-moi la part de fortune qui doit me revenir. » Le père partagea son bien entre eux. 13 tPeu de jours après, le plus jeune fils convertit en argent tout ce qu’il avait et partit pour un pays lointain où il dilapida sa fortune en vivant dans la débauche. 14 Lorsqu’il eut tout dépensé, une grande famine survint dans ce pays, et il commença à manquer de tout. 15 tIl se mit au service d’un des citoyens de ce pays, qui l’envoya dans ses champs pour y faire paître les cochons. 16 tIl aurait bien désiré se rassasier des caroubes que mangeaient les cochons, mais personne ne lui en donnait. 17 tRentré en lui-même, il se dit : « Combien d’employés, chez mon père, ont du pain de reste, alors que moi, ici, je meurs de faim ? 18 tJe vais partir, j’irai chez mon père et je lui dirai : “Père, j’ai péché contre le ciel et envers toi ; 19 tje ne suis plus digne d’être appelé ton fils ; traite-moi comme l’un de tes employés.” »
20 tIl partit pour rentrer chez son père.
Comme il était encore loin, son père le vit et fut ému ; il courut se jeter à son cou et l’embrassa. 21 tLe fils lui dit : « Père, j’ai péché contre le ciel et envers toi, je ne suis plus digne d’être appelé ton fils. » 22 tMais le père dit à ses esclaves : « Apportez vite la plus belle robe et mettez-la-lui ; mettez-lui une bague au doigt et des sandales aux pieds. 23 tAmenez le veau engraissé et abattez-le. Mangeons, faisons la fête,
24 tcar mon fils que voici était mort, et il a repris vie ; il était perdu, et il a été retrouvé ! » Et ils commencèrent à faire la fête.
25 tOr le fils aîné était aux champs. Lorsqu’il revint et s’approcha de la maison, il entendit de la musique et des danses. 26 tIl appela un des serviteurs pour lui demander ce qui se passait. 27 Ce dernier lui dit : « Ton frère est de retour, et parce qu’il lui a été rendu en bonne santé, ton père a abattu le veau engraissé. » 28 tMais il se mit en colère ; il ne voulait pas entrer. Son père sortit le supplier. 29 tAlors il répondit à son père : « Il y a tant d’années que je travaille pour toi comme un esclave, jamais je n’ai désobéi à tes commandements, et jamais tu ne m’as donné un chevreau pour que je fasse la fête avec mes amis ! 30 tMais quand ton fils que voici est arrivé, lui qui a dévoré ton bien avec des prostituées, pour lui tu as abattu le veau engraissé ! » 31 tLe père lui dit : « Toi, mon enfant, tu es toujours avec moi, et tout ce qui est à moi est à toi ; 32 tmais il fallait bien faire la fête et se réjouir, car ton frère que voici était mort, et il a repris vie ; il était perdu, et il a été retrouvé ! »
Luke 15
1 Now all the publicans and sinners were drawing near unto him to hear him.2 And both the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.3 And he spake unto them this parable, saying,4 What man of you, having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and his neighbors, saying unto them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.7 I say unto you, that even so there shall be joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.8 Or what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek diligently until she find it?9 And when she hath found it, she calleth together her friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I had lost.10 Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:12 and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of thy substance that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.13 And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together and took his journey into a far country; and there he wasted his substance with riotous living.14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that country; and he began to be in want.15 And he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.17 But when he came to himself he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish here with hunger!18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight:19 I am no more worthy to be called your son: make me as one of thy hired servants.20 And he arose, and came to his father. But while he was yet afar off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight: I am no more worthy to be called thy son.22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:23 and bring the fatted calf, and kill it, and let us eat, and make merry:24 for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing.26 And he called to him one of the servants, and inquired what these things might be.27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.28 But he was angry, and would not go in: and his father came out, and entreated him.29 But he answered and said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, and I never transgressed a commandment of thine; and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:30 but when this thy son came, who hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou killedst for him the fatted calf.31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine.32 But it was meet to make merry and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
