ルカによる福音書 15

一五

1 　イエスの教えを聞きに来る人たちの中には、あくどい取り立てをする取税人や札つきの悪党が、かなりいました。　2 ユダヤ教の指導者や法律の専門家は、イエスがそういう問題の多い人々とつきあい、時には食事までいっしょにするのを見て、不平をもらしました。　3 そこでイエスは、次のようなたとえ話をなさいました。
4 　「羊を百匹持っているとします。　そのうちの一匹が迷い出て、荒野で行方がわからなくなったらどうしますか。　ほかの九十九匹は放っておいて、いなくなった一匹が見つかるまで捜し歩くでしょう。　5 そして、見つかったら、大喜びで羊を肩にかつぎ上げ、　6 家に帰ると、さっそく友達や近所の人たちを呼び集めて、いっしょに喜んでもらうでしょう。
7 　それと同じことです。　迷い出た一人の罪人が神のもとに帰った時は、少しも迷ったことのない九十九人を合わせたよりも大きな喜びが、天にあふれるのです。
8 　もう一度、別のたとえで話してみましょう。　女の人が銀貨を十枚持っていました。　ところが、どうしたことか一枚なくしてしまったのです。　この女は、ランプをつけ、家の中をすみからすみまで掃除して、その一枚を見つけるまで、必死で捜し回るでしょう。　9 そして、見つけ出したら、一人ではもの足りず、友達や近所の人を呼び、いっしょに喜んでもらうでしょう。　10 同じように、一人の罪人が罪を悔いて神のもとに帰った時、神の使いたちはたいへんな喜びにわくのです。」
11 　イエスはもっとよく説明しようと、また別のたとえ話もなさいました。
「ある人に息子が二人いました。　12 ある日、弟のほうが出し抜けに、『お父さん。　あなたが亡くなってからじゃなく、今すぐ財産の分け前がほしいんだけどな。　だめですか』と言いだしたのです。　それで父親は、二人にそれぞれ財産を分けてやりました。
13 　もらう物をもらうと、何日もたたないうちに、弟は荷物をまとめ、そそくさと遠い国に旅立ちました。　そこで放蕩に明け暮れ、全財産を使い果たしてしまいました。　14 一文なしになった時、その国に大ききんが起こり、食べる物にも事欠く有様でした。　15 それで、その地方のある農夫に頼み込み、畑で豚を飼う仕事をもらいました。　16 あまりのひもじさに、豚のえさのいなご豆さえ食べたいほどでしたが、だれも食べる物をくれません。
17 　こんな毎日を送るうち、彼もやっと目が覚めました。　『あーあ、家なら雇い人にだって、あり余るほど食べ物があるだろうな......。　なのにおれときたら、なんてみじめなんだ。　こんなとこで飢え死にしかけてる。　18 そうだ。　家に帰ろう。　帰って、お父さんに頼もう。　「お父さん。　すみませんでした。　神様にも、お父さんにも、罪を犯してしまって......。　19 もう息子と呼ばれる資格はありません。　どうか、雇い人として使ってください。」』
20 　決心がつくと、彼は父親のもとに帰って行きました。　ところが、家までは、まだ遠く離れていたというのに、父親は息子の姿を、いち早く見つけたのです。　『あれが帰って来た。　かわいそうに、あんな、みすぼらしいなりで......。』こう思うと、じっと待ってなどいられません。　走り寄ってぎゅっと抱きしめ、口づけしました。
21 　『お父さん。　ごめんなさいっ！　ぼくは神様にも、お父さんにも、取り返しのつかないことをしでかしました。　もう息子と呼ばれる資格はありません......。』
22 　ところが父親は、使用人たちにこう言いつけたのです。　『さあさあ、何をぼやぼやしている。　一番よい服を出して、これに着せてやれ！　宝石のついた指輪も、くつもだ。　23 あっ、それから、肥えた子牛を料理して、盛大な祝宴の用意も忘れんようにな。　24 死んだものとあきらめていた息子が生き返り、行方の知れなかった息子が帰って来たのだから。』こうして、祝宴が始まりました。
25 　ところで、兄のほうはどうでしょう。　その日も畑で働いていました。　家に戻ってみると、何やら楽しげな踊りの音楽が聞こえます。　26 いったい何事かと、使用人の一人に尋ねると、　27 『弟さんが帰られたのでございますよ。　だんな様は、たいへんなお喜びで、肥えた子牛を料理し、ご無事を祝う宴会を開いておられるのです』と言うではありませんか。
28 　事情を聞くと、無性に腹が立ってきました。　中に入るのさえしゃくにさわります。　父親が出て来て、いろいろとなだめてみました。　29 それでも気持ちはおさまりません。　『私はこれまで、お父さんのために汗水流して働いてきたんですよ。　言いつけにだって、ただの一度もそむいたことはありません。　なのに、友達と宴会を開けと言って、子やぎ一匹くれたことがありますか。　30 ところが、女にうつつを抜かし、あなたのお金を使い果たした弟のやつには、最上の子牛を料理して、お祭り騒ぎをするんですか』と、食ってかかりました。
31 　すると父親は言いました。　『いいか、よく聞きなさい。　おまえはいつだって、私のそばにいたじゃないか。　私のものは全部おまえのものだ。　32 だがな、考えてもみな。　あれはおまえの弟なんだよ。　死んだと思ってあきらめていたのに、無事に帰って来たんじゃないか。　いなくなっていたのが見つかったんだから、お祝いするのはあたりまえじゃないか。』」神とお金の両方に仕えることはできない

Luke 15

1 Now all the publicans and sinners were drawing near unto him to hear him.2 And both the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.3 And he spake unto them this parable, saying,4 What man of you, having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and his neighbors, saying unto them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.7 I say unto you, that even so there shall be joy in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.8 Or what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek diligently until she find it?9 And when she hath found it, she calleth together her friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I had lost.10 Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:12 and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of thy substance that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.13 And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together and took his journey into a far country; and there he wasted his substance with riotous living.14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that country; and he began to be in want.15 And he went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.17 But when he came to himself he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish here with hunger!18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight:19 I am no more worthy to be called your son: make me as one of thy hired servants.20 And he arose, and came to his father. But while he was yet afar off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight: I am no more worthy to be called thy son.22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:23 and bring the fatted calf, and kill it, and let us eat, and make merry:24 for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing.26 And he called to him one of the servants, and inquired what these things might be.27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.28 But he was angry, and would not go in: and his father came out, and entreated him.29 But he answered and said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, and I never transgressed a commandment of thine; and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:30 but when this thy son came, who hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou killedst for him the fatted calf.31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine.32 But it was meet to make merry and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
