LUK 16
1 O we si kwa ndi nēso uzọ-Ya, Otù ọgaranya di, nke nwere onye nāchi èzí-na-ulo-ya; onye a ka eboro n'iru ya na ọ nēmefu ihe o nwere. 2 Ọ we kpọ ya, si ya, Ọ̀ bu gini bu nka nke m'nānu bayere gi? kọrọm akukọ nke ọchichi-èzí-na-ulo-gi; n'ihi na i pughi ichi èzí-na-ulo ọzọ. 3 Onye ahu nke nāchi èzí-na-ulo we kwue n'onwe-ya, si, Gini ka m'gēme, n'ihi na onye-nwem nānapum ọchichi-èzí-na-ulo a? Enweghi m ike igwu ala; ihere iriọ aririọ nēmem. 4 Amaram ihe m'gēme, ka, mb͕e ọ bula agēwepum n'ọchichi-èzí-na-ulo a, ka ha we kpọbatam n'ulo nke aka ha. 5 O we kpọ ndi nile ji onye-nwe-ya ugwọ n'otù n'otù, si onye mbu, Ùgwọ ole ka i ji onye-nwem? 6 Ọ si, Ọgu mb͕é manu ise. Ọ si ya, Were akwukwọ-gi, nọdu ọsọsọ, de ọgu abua na iri. 7 Mb͕e ahu ọ siri onye ọzọ, Ùgwọ ole ka gi onwe-gi ji kwa? Ọ si, Ọgu mb͕é ọka ise. Ọ si ya, Were akwukwọ-gi, de ọgu anọ. 8 Onye-nwe-ya we to onye ahu nāchi èzí-na-ulo nke nēme ajọ omume, n'ihi na o mere dika onye nwere uche: n'ihi na umu nke oge a nwere uche n'ebe ọb͕ọ nke aka ha nọ kari umu nke ìhè. 9 Mu onwem nāsi kwa unu, Menu ndi-eyi nye onwe-unu site n'àkù nke ajọ omume; ka, mb͕e ọ bula ọ gāgwu, ka ha we kpọbata unu n'ulo-ikwū ebighi-ebi. 10 Onye kwesiri ka atukwasi ya obi n'ihe dikarisiri ntà kwesi-kwa-ra ka atukwasi ya obi n'oké ihe: onye bu kwa onye ajọ omume n'ihe dikarisiri ntà bu kwa onye ajọ omume n'oké ihe. 11 Ya mere, ọ buru na unu abughi ndi kwesiri ka atukwasi unu obi n'àkù ajọ omume, ònye gēnye ezi àkù n'aka-unu na ntukwasi-obi idebe? 12 Ọ buru kwa na unu abughi ndi kwesiri ka atukwasi unu obi n'ihe onye ọzọ nwere, ònye gēnye unu ihe nke aka unu?
13 Ọ dighi onye ọ bula nke nēje ozi nke puru ibu orù nke nna abua: n'ihi na ọ gākpọ otù onye nime ha asì, hu ibe-ya n'anyá; ma ọ bughi otú a ọ gējide otù, lelìa ibe-ya anya. Unu apughi ibu orù Chineke na àkù.
14 Ma ndi-Farisi, ndi nāhu ego n'anya, nuru ihe ndia nile: ha we me Ya ihe-ọchì. 15 O we si ha, Unu onwe-unu bu ndi nāgu onwe-unu na ndi ezi omume n'anya madu; ma Chineke mara obi-unu: n'ihi na ihe di elu n'etiti madu bu ihe-árú n'anya Chineke. 16 Iwu Chineke na ndi-amuma-Ya di rue oge Jọn: site n'oge ahu anēzisa ozi ọma ala-eze Chineke, madu nile n'otù n'otù were ihe-ike nābà nime ya. 17 Ma ọ ka nfé ka elu-igwe na ala gabiga, kari na otù ihe dikarisiri ntà n'iwu ahu gāda.
18 Nwoke ọ bula nke nārapu nwunye-ya, nke luru kwa nwanyi ọzọ, ọ nākwa iko: onye nālu nwanyi nke di-ya rapuworo nākwa kwa iko.
19 Ma otù ọgaranya di, o nēyi kwa uwe ododo na ezi ákwà ọcha, ọ nēme kwa ka obi nātọ ya utọ nke-ọma kwa-ubọchi: 20 ma atọb͕ọrọri otù ob͕eye n'ọnu-uzọ-amá-ya, aha-ya bu Lazarọs, nke ọnyá juru ya n'aru, 21 onye ọ nāgu kwa ka ewere irighiri nri nke si na table nke ọgaranya ahu dapu me ka afọ ju ya; e, ọbuná nkita nābia racha ọnyá-ya. 22 O we rue na ob͕eye ahu nwuru, ndi-mọ-ozi we bupu ya ga n'ebe ọ dabere n'obì Abraham: ọgaranya ahu nwukwara, ewe lìe ya. 23 Nime Hedis o we welie anya-ya elu, ebe ọ nọ na nmekpa-aru, ọ hu Abraham n'ebe di anya, na Lazarọs ka ọ dabere n'obì-ya. 24 Ọgaranya ahu we kpọ òkù, si, Nna, Abraham, merem ebere, zite Lazarọs, ka ọ detu ọnu-ọ̀nu nkpisi-aka-ya na miri, we mejua irem; n'ihi na anọm n'aru-ufu nime ire-ọku a. 25 Ma Abraham síri, Nwam, cheta na i nara ezi ihe-gi na ndu-gi, otù ahu Lazarọs narakwara ajọ ihe-ya: ma ub͕u a anākasi ya obi n'ebe a, ma gi onwe-gi nọ n'aru-ufu. 26 Ma n'ihe ndia nile, emewo ka oké olùlù disie ike n'ab͕ata ayi na unu, ka ndi nāchọ isi n'ebe a gabiga ijekuru unu we ghara inwe ike, ka onye ọ bula ghara kwa isi n'ebe ahu gabiga biakute ayi. 27 O we si, Ya mere ariọm gi, nna, ka i ziga ya n'ulo nnam; 28 n'ihi na enwerem umu-nne ise; ka o we dọ ha aka na nti, ka ha onwe-ha ghara ibia kwa n'ebe nmekpa-aru a. 29 Ma Abraham siri, Ha nwere Moses na ndi-amuma; ka ha nuru olu-ha. 30 O we si, É-è, nna Abraham: kama ọ buru na otù onye esite na ndi nwuru anwu jekuru ha, ha gēchèghari. 31 O we si ya, Ọ buru na ha anughi olu Moses na ndi-amuma, agaghi-eme kwa ka ha kweye, asi na otù onye esi na ndi nwuru anwu bilie.
Luke 16
1 And he said also unto the disciples, There was a certain rich man, who had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he was wasting his goods.2 And he called him, and said unto him, What is this that I hear of thee? render the account of thy stewardship; for thou canst be no longer steward.3 And the steward said within himself, What shall I do, seeing that my lord taketh away the stewardship from me? I have not strength to dig; to beg I am ashamed.4 I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.5 And calling to him each one of his lord’s debtors, he said to the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?6 And he said, A hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bond, and sit down quickly and write fifty.7 Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, A hundred measures of wheat. He saith unto him, Take thy bond, and write fourscore.8 And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light.9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends by means of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when it shall fail, they may receive you into the eternal tabernacles.10 He that is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much: and he that is unrighteous in a very little is unrighteous also in much.11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.14 And the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things; and they scoffed at him.15 And he said unto them, Ye are they that justify yourselves in the sight of men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.16 The law and the prophets were until John: from that time the gospel of the kingdom of God is preached, and every man entereth violently into it.17 But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one tittle of the law to fall.18 Every one that putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and he that marrieth one that is put away from a husband committeth adultery.19 Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, faring sumptuously every day:20 and a certain beggar named Lazarus was laid at his gate, full of sores,21 and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table; yea, even the dogs come and licked his sores.22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and that he was carried away by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: and the rich man also died, and was buried.23 And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things: but now here he is comforted and thou art in anguish.26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that they that would pass from hence to you may not be able, and that none may cross over from thence to us.27 And he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house;28 for I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.29 But Abraham saith, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one go to them from the dead, they will repent.31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, if one rise from the dead.
