لوقا 16

1 و به شاگردان خود نیز گفت: «شخصی دولتمند را ناظری بود که از او نزد وی شکایت بردند که اموال او را تلف میکرد.2 پس او را طلب نموده، وی را گفت، این چیست که درباره تو شنیدهام؟ حساب نظارت خود را باز بده زیرا ممکن نیست که بعد از این نظارت کنی.3 ناظر با خود گفت چکنم؟ زیرا مولایم نظارت رااز من میگیرد. طاقت زمینکندن ندارم و از گدایی نیز عار دارم.4 دانستم چکنم تا وقتی که از نظارت معزول شوم، مرا به خانه خود بپذیرند.5 پس هریکی از بدهکاران آقای خود را طلبیده، به یکی گفت آقایم از تو چند طلب دارد؟6 گفت صدرطل روغن. بدو گفت سیاهه خود را بگیر ونشسته پنجاه رطل بزودی بنویس.7 باز دیگری را گفت از تو چقدر طلب دارد؟ گفت صد کیل گندم. وی را گفت سیاهه خود را بگیر و هشتادبنویس.8 «پس آقایش، ناظر خائن را آفرین گفت، زیراعاقلانه کار کرد. زیرا ابنای این جهان در طبقه خویش از ابنای نور عاقل تر هستند.9 و من شمارا میگویم دوستان از مال بیانصافی برای خودپیدا کنید تا چون فانی گردید شما را به خیمه های جاودانی بپذیرند.10 آنکه در اندک امین باشد درامر بزرگ نیز امین بود و آنکه در قلیل خائن بود در کثیر هم خائن باشد.11 و هرگاه در مال بیانصافی امین نبودید، کیست که مال حقیقی را به شمابسپارد؟12 و اگر در مال دیگری دیانت نکردید، کیست که مال خاص شما را به شما دهد؟13 هیچ خادم نمی تواند دو آقا را خدمت کند. زیرا یا از یکی نفرت میکند و با دیگری محبت، یا با یکی میپیوندد و دیگری را حقیر میشمارد. خدا و مامونا را نمی توانید خدمت نمایید.14 و فریسیانی که زر دوست بودند همه این سخنان را شنیده، او را استهزا نمودند.15 به ایشان گفت، شما هستید که خود را پیش مردم عادل مینمایید، لیکن خدا عارف دلهای شماست. زیرا که آنچه نزد انسان مرغوب است، نزد خدا مکروه است.16 تورات و انبیا تا به یحیی بود و از آن وقت بشارت به ملکوت خدا داده میشود و هر کس بجد و جهد داخل آن میگردد.17 لیکن آسانتر است که آسمان و زمین زایل شود، از آنکه یک نقطه از تورات ساقط گردد.18 هرکه زن خود را طلاق دهد و دیگری را نکاح کند زانی بود و هرکه زن مطلقه مردی را به نکاح خویش درآورد، زنا کرده باشد.19 شخصی دولتمند بود که ارغوان و کتان میپوشید و هر روزه در عیاشی با جلال بسرمی برد.20 و فقیری مقروح بود ایلعازر نام که او رابر درگاه او میگذاشتند،21 و آرزو میداشت که از پاره هایی که از خوان آن دولتمند میریخت، خود را سیر کند. بلکه سگان نیز آمده زبان برزخمهای او میمالیدند.22 باری آن فقیر بمرد و فرشتگان، او را به آغوش ابراهیم بردند و آن دولتمند نیز مرد و او را دفن کردند.23 پس چشمان خود را در عالم اموات گشوده، خود رادر عذاب یافت. و ابراهیم را از دور و ایلعازر را درآغوشش دید.24 آنگاه به آواز بلند گفت، ای پدرمن ابراهیم، بر من ترحم فرما و ایلعازر را بفرست تا سر انگشت خود را به آب تر ساخته زبان مراخنک سازد، زیرا در این نار معذبم.25 ابراهیم گفتای فرزند بهخاطر آور که تو در ایام زندگانی چیزهای نیکوی خود را یافتی و همچنین ایلعازرچیزهای بد را، لیکن او الحال در تسلی است و تودر عذاب.26 و علاوه بر این در میان ما و شماورطه عظیمی است، چنانچه آنانی که میخواهنداز اینجا به نزد شما عبور کنند، نمی توانند و نه نشینندگان آنجا نزد ما توانند گذشت.27 گفتای پدر به تو التماس دارم که او را به خانه پدرم بفرستی.28 زیرا که مرا پنج برادر است تا ایشان راآگاه سازد، مبادا ایشان نیز به این مکان عذاب بیایند.29 ابراهیم وی را گفت موسی و انبیا رادارند سخن ایشان را بشنوند.30 گفت نهای پدرما ابراهیم، لیکن اگر کسی از مردگان نزد ایشان رود، توبه خواهند کرد.31 وی را گفت هرگاه موسی و انبیا را نشنوند اگر کسی از مردگان نیزبرخیزد، هدایت نخواهند پذیرفت.»

LUKE 16

A Dishonest Manager

1 Jesus said to his disciples:
A rich man once had a manager to take care of his business. But he was told that his manager was wasting money.

2 So the rich man called him in and said, “What is this I hear about you? Tell me what you have done! You are no longer going to work for me.”
3 The manager said to himself, “What shall I do now that my master is going to fire me? I can't dig ditches, and I'm ashamed to beg.

4 I know what I'll do, so that people will welcome me into their homes after I've lost my job.”

5 Then one by one he called in the people who were in debt to his master. He asked the first one, “How much do you owe my master?”

6 “A hundred barrels of olive oil,” the man answered.
So the manager said, “Take your bill and sit down and quickly write ‘50.’ ”

7 The manager asked someone else who was in debt to his master, “How much do you owe?”
“A thousand sackst of wheat,” the man replied.
The manager said, “Take your bill and write ‘800.’ ”

8 The master praised his dishonest manager for looking out for himself so well. That's how it is! The people of this world look out for themselves better than the people who belong to the light.
9  t My disciples, I tell you to use wicked wealth to make friends for yourselves. Then when it is gone, you will be welcomed into an eternal home. 10 Anyone who can be trusted in little matters can also be trusted in important matters. But anyone who is dishonest in little matters will be dishonest in important matters. 11 If you cannot be trusted with this wicked wealth, who will trust you with true wealth? 12 And if you cannot be trusted with what belongs to someone else, who will give you something that will be your own?

13 t You cannot be the slave of two masters. You will like one more than the other or be more loyal to one than to the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Some Sayings of Jesus

15 But Jesus told them:
You are always making yourselves look good, but God sees what is in your heart. The things that most people think are important are worthless as far as God is concerned.
16  t Until the time of John the Baptist, people had to obey the Law of Moses and the Books of the Prophets.t But since God's kingdom has been preached, everyone is trying hard to get in.

17 t Heaven and earth will disappear before the smallest letter of the Law does.

18  t It is a terrible sint for a man to divorce his wife and marry another woman. It is also a terrible sin for a man to marry a divorced woman.

Lazarus and the Rich Man

22 t The poor man died, and angels took him to the place of honor next to Abraham.t
The rich man also died and was buried. 23 t He went to hellt and was suffering terribly. When he looked up and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side,

24 he said to Abraham, “Have pity on me! Send Lazarus to dip his finger in water and touch my tongue. I'm suffering terribly in this fire.”
25 Abraham answered, “My friend, remember that while you lived, you had everything good, and Lazarus had everything bad. Now he is happy, and you are in pain.

26 And besides, there is a deep ditch between us, and no one from either side can cross over.”
27 But the rich man said, “Abraham, then please send Lazarus to my father's home.

28 Let him warn my five brothers, so they won't come to this horrible place.”

29 Abraham answered, “Your brothers can read what Moses and the prophetst wrote. They should pay attention to that.”

30 Then the rich man said, “No, that's not enough! If only someone from the dead would go to them, they would listen and turn to God.”
31 So Abraham said, “If they won't pay attention to Moses and the prophets, they won't listen even to someone who comes back from the dead.”
