لوقا 18

قاضی نادرست و بیوه‌زن سِمِج

1 عیسی برای شاگردان مَثَلی آورد تا نشان دهد كه باید همیشه دعا كنند و هرگز دلسرد نشوند. 2 او فرمود: «در شهری قاضی‌ای بود كه نه ترس از خدا داشت و نه توجّهی به خلق. 3 در همان شهر بیوه‌زنی زندگی می‌کرد كه نزد او می‌آمد و از دست دشمن خود شكایت می‌کرد. 4 قاضی تا مدّت زیادی به شكایت او توجّهی نكرد امّا سرانجام پیش خود گفت: 'درست است كه من ترسی از خدا و توجّهی به خلق خدا ندارم،

5 امّا این بیوه‌زن مایهٔ دردسر من شده است و برای اینكه با اصرار و پافشاری خود مرا به ستوه نیاورد به داد او خواهم رسید.'»
6 عیسی خداوند فرمود: «آنچه را قاضی بی‌انصاف گفت شنیدید. 7 آیا خدا به دادخواهی برگزیدگان خود كه شب و روز به درگاهش تضّرع می‌کنند توجّه نخواهد كرد و آیا برای كمک به آنها شتاب نخواهد نمود؟

8 بدانید كه بزودی و به نفع آنان دادرسی خواهد كرد. امّا وقتی پسر انسان می‌آید آیا اثری از ایمان برروی زمین خواهد یافت؟»

عبادت یک فریسی و یک باجگیر

9 همچنین عیسی برای کسانی‌که از نیكی خود مطمئن بودند و سایرین را از خود پست‌تر می‌شمردند این مَثَل را آورده گفت: 10 «دو نفر برای دعا به معبد بزرگ رفتند، یكی فریسی و دیگری باجگیر بود. 11 آن فریسی ایستاد و با خود دعا كرد و گفت: 'ای خدا، تو را شكر می‌کنم كه مانند سایرین، حریص و نادرست و زناكار و یا مانند این باجگیر نیستم. 12 هفته‌ای دو بار روزه می‌گیرم. ده‌یک همهٔ چیزهایی را كه به دست می‌آورم می‌دهم.' 13 امّا آن باجگیر دور ایستاد و جرأت نگاه كردن به آسمان را نداشت بلكه به سینهٔ خود می‌زد و می‌گفت: 'ای خدا، به من گناهكار ترحّم كن!'

14 بدانید كه این باجگیر بخشوده شده به خانه رفت و نه آن دیگری. هرکه خود را بزرگ نماید خوار خواهد شد و هرکه خود را فروتن سازد سرافراز خواهد گردید.»

عیسی كودكان را بركت می‌دهد

(متّی 13:19-15؛ مرقس 13:10-16)

15 مردم حتّی بچّه‌‌ها را به حضور عیسی می‌آوردند تا بر آنها دست بگذارد امّا شاگردان وقتی این را دیدند آنها را سرزنش كردند. 16 امّا عیسی بچّه‌‌ها را نزد خود خواند و فرمود: «بگذارید بچّه‌‌ها نزد من بیایند و مانع آنان نشوید، چون پادشاهی خدا به چنین كسانی تعلّق دارد.

17 یقین بدانید اگر كسی پادشاهی خدا را مانند یک كودک نپذیرد هیچ‌وقت وارد آن نخواهد شد.»

توانگران و پادشاهی خدا

(متّی 16:19-30؛ مرقس 17:10-31)

18 شخصی از اشراف یهود از عیسی پرسید: «ای استاد نیكو، من برای به دست آوردن حیات جاودان چه باید بكنم؟» 19 عیسی به او فرمود: «چرا مرا نیكو می‌خوانی؟ هیچ‌کس جز خدا نیكو نیست. 20 احكام را می‌دانی زنا نكن، قتل نكن، دزدی نكن، شهادت نادرست نده، پدرت و مادر خود را احترام كن.» 21 آن مرد جواب داد: «من از جوانی همهٔ اینها را رعایت کرده‌ام.» 22 عیسی وقتی این را شنید فرمود: «هنوز یک چیز كم داری، آنچه داری بفروش و میان فقرا تقسیم كن كه در عالم بالا گنجی خواهی داشت و بعد بیا از من پیروی كن.» 23 امّا او از این سخنان افسرده شد، چون ثروت بسیار داشت. 24 عیسی وقتی این را دید فرمود: «چه دشوار است ورود ثروتمندان به پادشاهی خدا! 25 رد شدن شتر از سوراخ سوزن آسانتر است تا وارد شدن ثروتمندی به پادشاهی خدا.» 26 شنوندگان پرسیدند: «پس چه کسی می‌تواند نجات یابد؟» 27 پاسخ داد: «آنچه برای آدمیان غیرممكن است برای خدا امكان دارد!» 28 پطرس گفت: «ببین، ما از همه‌چیز خود دست کشیده‌ایم و پیرو تو شده‌ایم.» 29 عیسی فرمود: «یقین بدانید كه هرکس به‌خاطر پادشاهی خدا، خانه یا زن، برادران، والدین یا فرزندان خود را ترک نماید،

30 در این دنیا چندین برابر عوض خواهد گرفت و در آخرت، حیات جاودان نصیب او خواهد شد.»

سومین پیشگویی عیسی دربارهٔ مرگ خود

(متّی 17:20-19؛ مرقس 32:10-34)

31 عیسی دوازده شاگرد خود را به كناری برد و به آنان فرمود: «ما اكنون به اورشلیم می‌رویم و آنچه انبیا دربارهٔ پسر انسان نوشته‌اند به حقیقت خواهد پیوست. 32 او به دست بیگانگان تسلیم خواهد شد، او را مسخره خواهند كرد و با او بدرفتاری نموده به رویش آب دهان خواهند انداخت. 33 او را تازیانه زده و خواهند كشت. امّا در روز سوم باز زنده خواهد شد.»

34 امّا شاگردان از این‌همه، چیزی نفهمیدند و این سخن برای ایشان نامفهوم بود و درک نمی‌کردند كه دربارهٔ چه چیز صحبت می‌کند.

شفای گدای نابینا

(متّی 29:20-34؛ مرقس 46:10-52)

35 هنگامی‌که عیسی به نزدیكی اریحا رسید كوری در كنار راه نشسته بود و گدایی می‌کرد. 36 همین‌که شنید جمعیّتی از آنجا می‌گذرد، پرسید چه خبر است؟ 37 به او گفتند: «عیسای ناصری از اینجا می‌گذرد.» 38 پس فریاد زد: «ای عیسی، ای پسر داوود، به من رحم كن.» 39 اشخاصی كه در جلو بودند به تندی با او حرف زده گفتند: «ساكت باش» امّا او هرچه بلندتر فریاد می‌کرد: «ای پسر داوود، به من رحم كن» 40 عیسی ایستاد و دستور داد آن مرد را نزد او بیاورند. وقتی آمد از او پرسید: 41 «چه می‌خواهی برایت بكنم؟» جواب داد: «ای آقا، می‌خواهم بار دیگر بینا شوم» 42 عیسی به او فرمود: «بینا شو، ایمانت تو را شفا داده است.» 43 فوراً بینایی خود را باز یافت و درحالی‌که خدا را تمجید می‌کرد به دنبال عیسی رفت. همهٔ مردم به‌خاطر آنچه دیده بودند خدا را حمد گفتند.

LUKE 18

A Widow and a Judge

1 Jesus told his disciples a story about how they should keep on praying and never give up:
2 In a town there was once a judge who didn't fear God or care about people.

3 In that same town there was a widow who kept going to the judge and saying, “Make sure that I get fair treatment in court.”
4 For a while the judge refused to do anything. Finally, he said to himself, “Even though I don't fear God or care about people,

5 I will help this widow because she keeps on bothering me. If I don't help her, she will wear me out.”

6 The Lord said:
Think about what that crooked judge said. 7 t Won't God protect his chosen ones who pray to him day and night? Won't he be concerned for them?

8 He will surely hurry and help them. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find on this earth anyone with faith?

A Pharisee //and a Tax Collector

9 Jesus told a story to some people who thought they were better than others and who looked down on everyone else:
10 Two men went into the temple to pray.t One was a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.t 11 The Pharisee stood over by himself and prayed, t “God, I thank you that I am not greedy, dishonest, and unfaithful in marriage like other people. And I am really glad that I am not like that tax collector over there.

12 I go without eatingt for two days a week, and I give you one tenth of all I earn.”

13  t The tax collector stood off at a distance and did not think he was good enough even to look up toward heaven. He was so sorry for what he had done that he pounded his chest and prayed, “God, have pity on me! I am such a sinner.”

14  t Then Jesus said, “When the two men went home, it was the tax collector and not the Pharisee who was pleasing to God. If you put yourself above others, you will be put down. But if you humble yourself, you will be honored.”

Jesus Blesses Little Children

(Matthew 19.13-15; Mark 10.13-16)

15 Some people brought their little children for Jesus to bless. But when his disciples saw them doing this, they told the people to stop bothering him. 16 So Jesus called the children over to him and said, “Let the children come to me! Don't try to stop them. People who are like these children belong to God's kingdom.t

17 You will never get into God's kingdom unless you enter it like a child!”

A Rich and Important Man

(Matthew 19.16-30; Mark 10.17-31)

18 An important man asked Jesus, “Good Teacher, what must I do to have eternal life?”
19 Jesus said, “Why do you call me good? Only God is good.

20 t You know the commandments: ‘Be faithful in marriage. Do not murder. Do not steal. Do not tell lies about others. Respect your father and mother.’ ”

21 He told Jesus, “I have obeyed all these commandments since I was a young man.”
22 When Jesus heard this, he said, “There is one thing you still need to do. Go and sell everything you own! Give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven. Then come and be my follower.”

23 When the man heard this, he was sad, because he was very rich.
24 Jesus saw how sad the man was. So he said, “It's terribly hard for rich people to get into God's kingdom!

25 In fact, it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to get into God's kingdom.”

26 When the crowd heard this, they asked, “How can anyone ever be saved?”

27 Jesus replied, “There are some things that people cannot do, but God can do anything.”

28 Peter said, “Remember, we left everything to be your followers!”
29 Jesus answered, “You can be sure that anyone who gives up home or wife or brothers or family or children because of God's kingdom

30 will be given much more in this life. And in the future world they will have eternal life.”

Jesus Again Tells about //His Death

(Matthew 20.17-19; Mark 10.32-34)

31 Jesus took the twelve apostles aside and said:
We are now on our way to Jerusalem. Everything that the prophets wrote about the Son of Man will happen there. 32 He will be handed over to foreigners, t who will make fun of him, mistreat him, and spit on him.

33 They will beat him and kill him, but three days later he will rise to life.

34 The apostles did not understand what Jesus was talking about. They could not understand, because the meaning of what he said was hidden from them.

Jesus Heals a Blind Beggar

(Matthew 20.29-34; Mark 10.46-52)

35 When Jesus was coming close to Jericho, a blind man sat begging beside the road. 36 The man heard the crowd walking by and asked what was happening. 37 Some people told him that Jesus from Nazareth was passing by. 38 So the blind man shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, t have pity on me!”

39 The people who were going along with Jesus told the man to be quiet. But he shouted even louder, “Son of David, have pity on me!”
40 Jesus stopped and told some people to bring the blind man over to him. When the blind man was getting near, Jesus asked,

41 “What do you want me to do for you?”
“Lord, I want to see!” he answered.
42 Jesus replied, “Look and you will see! Your eyes are healed because of your faith.” 43 At once the man could see, and he went with Jesus and started thanking God. When the crowds saw what happened, they praised God.
