누가복음서 19

예수와 삭개오

1  예수께서 여리고에 들어가 지나가고 계셨다. 2 삭개오라고 하는 사람이 거기에 있었다. 그는 세관장이고, 부자였다. 3 삭개오는 예수가 어떤 사람인지를 보려고 애썼으나, 무리에게 가려서, 예수를 볼 수 없었다. 그가 키가 작기 때문이었다. 4 그래서 그는 예수를 보려고 앞서 달려가서, 뽕나무에 올라갔다. 예수께서 거기를 지나가실 것이기 때문이었다. 5 예수께서 그 곳에 이르러서 쳐다보시고, 그에게 말씀하셨다. “삭개오야, 어서 내려오너라. 오늘은 내가 네 집에서 묵어야 하겠다.” 6 그러자 삭개오는 얼른 내려와서, 기뻐하면서 예수를 모셔 들였다. 7 그런데 사람들이 이것을 보고서, 모두 수군거리며 말하였다. “그가 죄인의 집에 묵으려고 들어갔다.” 8 삭개오가 일어서서 주님께 말하였다. “주님, 보십시오. 내 소유의 절반을 가난한 사람들에게 주겠습니다. 또 내가 누구에게서 강제로 빼앗은 것이 있으면, 네 배로 하여 갚아 주겠습니다.” 9 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. “오늘 구원이 이 집에 이르렀다. 이 사람도 아브라함의 자손이다. 10 인자는 잃은 것을 찾아 구원하러 왔다.”

열 므나의 비유

(마 25:14-30)

11 그들이 이 말씀을 듣고 있을 때에, 예수께서 덧붙여서, 비유를 하나 말씀하셨다. 이 비유를 드신 것은, 예수께서 예루살렘에 가까이 이르신 데다가, 사람들이 하나님의 나라가 당장에 나타날 줄로 생각하고 있었기 때문이다. 12 그래서 예수께서 말씀하셨다. “귀족 출신의 어떤 사람이 왕위를 받아 가지고 돌아오려고, 먼 나라로 길을 떠날 때에, 13 자기 종 열 사람을 불러다가 열 t므나를 주고서는 ‘내가 올 때까지 이것으로 장사를 하여라’ 하고 말하였다. 14 그런데 그의 시민들은 그를 미워하므로, 그 나라로 사절을 뒤따라 보내서 ‘우리는 이 사람이 우리의 왕이 되는 것을 원하지 않습니다’ 하고 말하게 하였다. 15 그러나 그 귀족은 왕위를 받아 가지고 돌아와서, 은화를 맡긴 종들을 불러오게 하여, 각각 얼마나 벌었는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 16 첫째 종이 와서 말하였다. ‘주인님, 나는 주인의 한 므나로 열 므나를 벌었습니다.’ 17 주인이 그에게 말하였다. ‘착한 종아, 잘했다. 네가 아주 작은 일에 신실하였으니, 열 고을을 다스리는 권세를 차지하여라.’ 18 둘째 종이 와서 말하였다. ‘주인님, 나는 주인의 한 므나로 다섯 므나를 벌었습니다.’ 19 주인이 이 종에게도 말하였다. ‘너도 다섯 고을을 다스리는 권세를 차지하여라.’ 20 또 다른 한 종이 와서 말하였다. ‘주인님, 보십시오. 주인의 한 므나가 여기에 있습니다. 나는 이것을 수건에 싸서, 보관해 두었습니다. 21 주인님은 야무진 분이라서, 맡기지 않은 것을 찾아가시고, 심지 않은 것을 거두시므로, 나는 주인님을 무서워하여 이렇게 하였습니다.’ 22 주인이 그에게 말하였다. ‘악한 종아, 나는 네 입에서 나온 말로 너를 심판하겠다. 너는, 내가 야무진 사람이라서, 맡기지 않은 것을 찾아가고, 심지 않은 것을 거두어 가는 줄 알고 있었지? 23 그러면 어찌하여 내 은화를 은행에 예금하지 않았느냐? 그랬더라면, 내가 돌아와서, 그 이자와 함께 그것을 찾았을 것이다.’ 24 그리고 그는 곁에 서 있는 사람들에게 말하였다. ‘이 사람에게서 한 므나를 빼앗아서, 열 므나를 가진 사람에게 주어라.’ 25 그들이 주인에게 말하기를 ‘주인님, 그는 열 므나를 가지고 있습니다’ 하였다. 26 ‘내가 너희에게 말한다. 가진 사람은 더 받게 될 것이요, 가지지 못한 사람은 그가 가진 것까지 빼앗길 것이다. 27 그리고 내가 자기들의 왕이 되는 것을 원하지 않은 나의 이 원수들을 이리로 끌어다가, 내 앞에서 죽여라.’”

예루살렘에 들어가시다

(마 21:1-11; 막 11:1-11; 요 12:12-19)

28  예수께서 이 말씀을 마치시고, 앞장서서 걸으시며 예루살렘으로 올라가고 계셨다. 29 예수께서 올리브 산이라 불리는 산에 있는 벳바게와 베다니에 가까이 오셨을 때에, 제자 두 사람을 보내시며 30 말씀하셨다. “맞은쪽 마을로 가거라. 거기에 들어가서 보면, 아직 아무도 타 본 적이 없는 새끼 나귀 한 마리가 매여 있을 것이다. 그것을 풀어서 끌고 오너라. 31 혹시 누가 너희에게 왜 푸느냐고 묻거든, ‘주님께서 그것을 필요로 하십니다’ 하고 말하여라.” 32 보내심을 받은 사람이 가서 보니, 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하신 그대로였다. 33 그들이 새끼 나귀를 푸는데, 그 주인들이 그들에게 말하였다. “그 새끼 나귀는 왜 푸는 거요?” 34 그들이 대답하였다. “주님께서 그것을 필요로 하십니다.” 35 그리고 그들이 그 새끼 나귀를 예수께로 끌고 와서, 자기들의 옷을 나귀 등에 걸쳐 얹고서, 예수를 올라타시게 하였다. 36 예수께서 나아가시는데, 제자들이 자기들의 옷을 길에 깔았다. 37 예수께서 어느덧 올리브 산의 내리막길에 이르셨을 때에, 제자의 온 무리가 기뻐하며, 자기들이 본 모든 기적을 두고 큰 소리로 하나님을 찬양하면서 말하였다. 38  t“복되시다, 주님의 이름으로 오시는 임금님! 하늘에는 평화, 지극히 높은 곳에는 영광!”

39 그런데 무리 가운데 섞여 있는 바리새파 사람 몇이 예수께 말하였다. “선생님, 선생님의 제자들을 꾸짖으십시오.” 40 그러나 예수께서 대답하셨다. “내가 너희에게 말한다. 이 사람들이 잠잠하면, 돌들이 소리지를 것이다.” 41  예수께서 예루살렘 가까이에 오셔서, 그 도성을 보시고 우시었다. 42 그리고 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “오늘 너도 평화에 이르게 하는 일을 알았더라면, 좋을 터인데! 그러나 지금 너는 그 일을 보지 못하는구나. 43 그 날들이 너에게 닥치리니, 너의 원수들이 토성을 쌓고, 너를 에워싸고, 너를 사면에서 죄어들어서, 44 너와 네 안에 있는 네 자녀들을 짓밟고, 네 안에 돌 한 개도 다른 돌 위에 얹혀 있지 못하게 할 것이다. 이것은 하나님께서 너를 찾아오신 때를, 네가 알지 못했기 때문이다.”

성전을 정결하게 하시다

(마 21:12-17; 막 11:15-19; 요 2:13-22)

45  예수께서 성전에 들어가셔서, 장사하는 사람들을 내쫓으시며, 46 그들에게 말씀하셨다. “성경에 기록하기를 t‘내 집은 기도하는 집이 될 것이다’ 하였다. 그런데 너희는 그것을 t‘강도들의 소굴’로 만들어 버렸다.”

47  예수께서 날마다 성전에서 가르치셨다. 대제사장들과 율법학자들과 백성의 우두머리들이 예수를 없애버리려고 꾀하고 있었으나, 48 어찌해야 할지 방도를 알지 못하였다. 백성이 모두 그의 말씀을 열심히 듣고 있었기 때문이다.

LUKE 19

Zacchaeus

1 Jesus was going through Jericho, 2 where a man named Zacchaeus lived. He was in charge of collecting taxest and was very rich.

3-4 Jesus was heading his way, and Zacchaeus wanted to see what he was like. But Zacchaeus was a short man and could not see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree.
5 When Jesus got there, he looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, hurry down! I want to stay with you today.”

6 Zacchaeus hurried down and gladly welcomed Jesus.

7 Everyone who saw this started grumbling, “This man Zacchaeus is a sinner! And Jesus is going home to eat with him.”

8 Later that day Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “I will give half of my property to the poor. And I will now pay back four times as mucht to everyone I have ever cheated.”
9 Jesus said to Zacchaeus, “Today you and your family have been saved, t because you are a true son of Abraham.t

10 t The Son of Man came to look for and to save people who are lost.”

A Story about Ten Servants

(Matthew 25.14-30)

11  t The crowd was still listening to Jesus as he was getting close to Jerusalem. Many of them thought that God's kingdom would soon appear,

12 and Jesus told them this story:
A prince once went to a foreign country to be crowned king and then to return.

13 But before leaving, he called in ten servants and gave each of them some money. He told them, “Use this to earn more money until I get back.”

14 But the people of his country hated him, and they sent messengers to the foreign country to say, “We don't want this man to be our king.”

15 After the prince had been made king, he returned and called in his servants. He asked them how much they had earned with the money they had been given.

16 The first servant came and said, “Sir, with the money you gave me I have earned ten times as much.”

17 “That's fine, my good servant!” the king said. “Since you have shown that you can be trusted with a small amount, you will be given ten cities to rule.”

18 The second one came and said, “Sir, with the money you gave me, I have earned five times as much.”

19 The king said, “You will be given five cities.”
20 Another servant came and said, “Sir, here is your money. I kept it safe in a handkerchief.

21 You are a hard man, and I was afraid of you. You take what isn't yours, and you harvest crops you didn't plant.”
22 “You worthless servant!” the king told him. “You have condemned yourself by what you have just said. You knew I am a hard man, taking what isn't mine and harvesting what I've not planted.

23 Why didn't you put my money in the bank? On my return, I could have had the money together with interest.”

24 Then he said to some other servants standing there, “Take the money away from him and give it to the servant who earned ten times as much.”

25 But they said, “Sir, he already has ten times as much!”
26  t The king replied, “Those who have something will be given more. But everything will be taken away from those who don't have anything.

27 Now bring me the enemies who didn't want me to be their king. Kill them while I watch!”

Jesus Enters Jerusalem

(Matthew 21.1-11; Mark 11.1-11; John 12.12-19)

28 When Jesus had finished saying all this, he went on toward Jerusalem. 29 As he was getting near Bethphage and Bethany on the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples on ahead. 30 He told them, “Go into the next village, where you will find a young donkey that has never been ridden. Untie the donkey and bring it here.

31 If anyone asks why you are doing this, just say, ‘The Lordt needs it.’ ”
32 They went off and found everything just as Jesus had said.

33 While they were untying the donkey, its owners asked, “Why are you doing that?”

34 They answered, “The Lordt needs it.”
35 Then they led the donkey to Jesus. They put some of their clothes on its back and helped Jesus get on. 36 And as he rode along, the people spread clothes on the roadt in front of him. 37 When Jesus started down the Mount of Olives, his large crowd of disciples were happy and praised God because of all the miracles they had seen.

38 t They shouted,
“Blessed is the king who comes
in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven
and glory to God.”

39 Some Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, make your disciples stop shouting!”

40 But Jesus answered, “If they keep quiet, these stones will start shouting.”
41 When Jesus came closer and could see Jerusalem, he cried

42 and said:
It is too bad that today your people don't know what will bring them peace! Now it is hidden from them. 43 Jerusalem, the time will come when your enemies will build walls around you to attack you. Armies will surround you and close in on you from every side.

44 They will level you to the ground and kill your people. Not one stone in your buildings will be left on top of another. This will happen because you did not see that God had come to save you.t

Jesus in the Temple

(Matthew 21.12-17; Mark 11.15-19; John 2.13-22)

45 When Jesus entered the temple, he started chasing out the people who were selling things.

46 t He told them, “The Scriptures say, ‘My house should be a place of worship.’ But you have made it a place where robbers hide!”
47  t Each day, Jesus kept on teaching in the temple. So the chief priests, the teachers of the Law of Moses, and some other important people tried to have him killed. 48 But they could not find a way to do it, because everyone else was eager to listen to him.
