لوقا 20

1 ایک دن جب وہ بیت المُقدّس میں لوگوں کو تعلیم دے رہا اور اللہ کی خوش خبری سنا رہا تھا تو راہنما امام، شریعت کے علما اور بزرگ اُس کے پاس آئے۔2 اُنہوں نے کہا، ”ہمیں بتائیں، آپ یہ کس اختیار سے کر رہے ہیں؟ کس نے آپ کو یہ اختیار دیا ہے؟“3 عیسیٰ نے جواب دیا، ”میرا بھی تم سے ایک سوال ہے۔ تم مجھے بتاؤ کہ4 کیا یحییٰ کا بپتسمہ آسمانی تھا یا انسانی؟“5 وہ آپس میں بحث کرنے لگے، ”اگر ہم کہیں ’آسمانی‘ تو وہ پوچھے گا، ’تو پھر تم اُس پر ایمان کیوں نہ لائے؟‘6 لیکن اگر ہم کہیں ’انسانی‘ تو تمام لوگ ہمیں سنگسار کریں گے، کیونکہ وہ تو یقین رکھتے ہیں کہ یحییٰ نبی تھا۔“7 اِس لئے اُنہوں نے جواب دیا، ”ہم نہیں جانتے کہ وہ کہاں سے تھا۔“8 عیسیٰ نے کہا، ”تو پھر مَیں بھی تم کو نہیں بتاتا کہ مَیں یہ سب کچھ کس اختیار سے کر رہا ہوں۔“9 پھر عیسیٰ لوگوں کو یہ تمثیل سنانے لگا، ”کسی آدمی نے انگور کا ایک باغ لگایا۔ پھر وہ اُسے مزارعوں کے سپرد کر کے بہت دیر کے لئے بیرونِ ملک چلا گیا۔10 جب انگور پک گئے تو اُس نے اپنے نوکر کو اُن کے پاس بھیج دیا تاکہ وہ مالک کا حصہ وصول کرے۔ لیکن مزارعوں نے اُس کی پٹائی کر کے اُسے خالی ہاتھ لوٹا دیا۔11 اِس پر مالک نے ایک اَور نوکر کو اُن کے پاس بھیجا۔ لیکن مزارعوں نے اُسے بھی مار مار کر اُس کی بےعزتی کی اور خالی ہاتھ نکال دیا۔12 پھر مالک نے تیسرے نوکر کو بھیج دیا۔ اُسے بھی اُنہوں نے مار کر زخمی کر دیا اور نکال دیا۔13 باغ کے مالک نے کہا، ’اب مَیں کیا کروں؟ مَیں اپنے پیارے بیٹے کو بھیجوں گا، شاید وہ اُس کا لحاظ کریں۔‘14 لیکن مالک کے بیٹے کو دیکھ کر مزارع آپس میں کہنے لگے، ’یہ زمین کا وارث ہے۔ آؤ، ہم اِسے مار ڈالیں۔ پھر اِس کی میراث ہماری ہی ہو گی۔‘15 اُنہوں نے اُسے باغ سے باہر پھینک کر قتل کیا۔“ عیسیٰ نے پوچھا، ”اب بتاؤ، باغ کا مالک کیا کرے گا؟16 وہ وہاں جا کر مزارعوں کو ہلاک کرے گا اور باغ کو دوسروں کے سپرد کر دے گا۔“ یہ سن کر لوگوں نے کہا، ”خدا ایسا کبھی نہ کرے۔“17 عیسیٰ نے اُن پر نظر ڈال کر پوچھا، ”تو پھر کلامِ مُقدّس کے اِس حوالے کا کیا مطلب ہے کہ ’جس پتھر کو مکان بنانے والوں نے رد کیا، وہ کونے کا بنیادی پتھر بن گیا‘؟“18 جو اِس پتھر پر گرے گا وہ ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو جائے گا، جبکہ جس پر وہ خود گرے گا اُسے پیس ڈالے گا۔“19 شریعت کے علما اور راہنما اماموں نے اُسی وقت اُسے پکڑنے کی کوشش کی، کیونکہ وہ سمجھ گئے تھے کہ تمثیل میں بیان شدہ مزارع ہم ہی ہیں۔ لیکن وہ عوام سے ڈرتے تھے۔20 چنانچہ وہ اُسے پکڑنے کا موقع ڈھونڈتے رہے۔ اِس مقصد کے تحت اُنہوں نے اُس کے پاس جاسوس بھیج دیئے۔ یہ لوگ اپنے آپ کو دیانت دار ظاہر کر کے عیسیٰ کے پاس آئے تاکہ اُس کی کوئی بات پکڑ کر اُسے رومی گورنر کے حوالے کر سکیں۔21 اِن جاسوسوں نے اُس سے پوچھا، ”اُستاد، ہم جانتے ہیں کہ آپ وہی کچھ بیان کرتے اور سکھاتے ہیں جو صحیح ہے۔ آپ جانب دار نہیں ہوتے بلکہ دیانت داری سے اللہ کی راہ کی تعلیم دیتے ہیں۔22 اب ہمیں بتائیں کہ کیا رومی شہنشاہ کو ٹیکس دینا جائز ہے یا ناجائز؟“23 لیکن عیسیٰ نے اُن کی چالاکی بھانپ لی اور کہا،24 ”مجھے چاندی کا ایک رومی سکہ دکھاؤ۔ کس کی صورت اور نام اِس پر کندہ ہے؟“ اُنہوں نے جواب دیا، ”شہنشاہ کا۔“25 اُس نے کہا، ”تو جو شہنشاہ کا ہے شہنشاہ کو دو اور جو اللہ کا ہے اللہ کو۔“26 یوں وہ عوام کے سامنے اُس کی کوئی بات پکڑنے میں ناکام رہے۔ اُس کا جواب سن کر وہ ہکا بکا رہ گئے اور مزید کوئی بات نہ کر سکے۔27 پھر کچھ صدوقی اُس کے پاس آئے۔ صدوقی نہیں مانتے کہ روزِ قیامت مُردے جی اُٹھیں گے۔ اُنہوں نے عیسیٰ سے ایک سوال کیا،28 ”اُستاد، موسیٰ نے ہمیں حکم دیا کہ اگر کوئی شادی شدہ آدمی بےاولاد مر جائے اور اُس کا بھائی ہو تو بھائی کا فرض ہے کہ وہ بیوہ سے شادی کر کے اپنے بھائی کے لئے اولاد پیدا کرے۔29 اب فرض کریں کہ سات بھائی تھے۔ پہلے نے شادی کی، لیکن بےاولاد فوت ہوا۔30 اِس پر دوسرے نے اُس سے شادی کی، لیکن وہ بھی بےاولاد مر گیا۔31 پھر تیسرے نے اُس سے شادی کی۔ یہ سلسلہ ساتویں بھائی تک جاری رہا۔ یکے بعد دیگرے ہر بھائی بیوہ سے شادی کرنے کے بعد مر گیا۔32 آخر میں بیوہ بھی فوت ہو گئی۔33 اب بتائیں کہ قیامت کے دن وہ کس کی بیوی ہو گی؟ کیونکہ سات کے سات بھائیوں نے اُس سے شادی کی تھی۔“34 عیسیٰ نے جواب دیا، ”اِس زمانے میں لوگ بیاہ شادی کرتے اور کراتے ہیں۔35 لیکن جنہیں اللہ آنے والے زمانے میں شریک ہونے اور مُردوں میں سے جی اُٹھنے کے لائق سمجھتا ہے وہ اُس وقت شادی نہیں کریں گے، نہ اُن کی شادی کسی سے کرائی جائے گی۔36 وہ مر بھی نہیں سکیں گے، کیونکہ وہ فرشتوں کی مانند ہوں گے اور قیامت کے فرزند ہونے کے باعث اللہ کے فرزند ہوں گے۔37 اور یہ بات کہ مُردے جی اُٹھیں گے موسیٰ سے بھی ظاہر کی گئی ہے۔ کیونکہ جب وہ کانٹےدار جھاڑی کے پاس آیا تو اُس نے رب کو یہ نام دیا، ’ابراہیم کا خدا، اسحاق کا خدا اور یعقوب کا خدا،‘ حالانکہ اُس وقت تینوں بہت پہلے مر چکے تھے۔ اِس کا مطلب ہے کہ یہ حقیقت میں زندہ ہیں۔38 کیونکہ اللہ مُردوں کا نہیں بلکہ زندوں کا خدا ہے۔ اُس کے نزدیک یہ سب زندہ ہیں۔“39 یہ سن کر شریعت کے کچھ علما نے کہا، ”شاباش اُستاد، آپ نے اچھا کہا ہے۔“40 اِس کے بعد اُنہوں نے اُس سے کوئی بھی سوال کرنے کی جرٲت نہ کی۔41 پھر عیسیٰ نے اُن سے پوچھا، ”مسیح کے بارے میں کیوں کہا جاتا ہے کہ وہ داؤد کا فرزند ہے؟42 کیونکہ داؤد خود زبور کی کتاب میں فرماتا ہے، ’رب نے میرے رب سے کہا، میرے دہنے ہاتھ بیٹھ،43 جب تک مَیں تیرے دشمنوں کو تیرے پاؤں کی چوکی نہ بنا دوں۔‘44 داؤد تو خود مسیح کو رب کہتا ہے۔ تو پھر وہ کس طرح داؤد کا فرزند ہو سکتا ہے؟“45 جب لوگ سن رہے تھے تو اُس نے اپنے شاگردوں سے کہا،46 ”شریعت کے علما سے خبردار رہو! کیونکہ وہ شاندار چوغے پہن کر اِدھر اُدھر پھرنا پسند کرتے ہیں۔ جب لوگ بازاروں میں سلام کر کے اُن کی عزت کرتے ہیں تو پھر وہ خوش ہو جاتے ہیں۔ اُن کی بس ایک ہی خواہش ہوتی ہے کہ عبادت خانوں اور ضیافتوں میں عزت کی کرسیوں پر بیٹھ جائیں۔47 یہ لوگ بیواؤں کے گھر ہڑپ کر جاتے اور ساتھ ساتھ دکھاوے کے لئے لمبی لمبی دعائیں مانگتے ہیں۔ ایسے لوگوں کو نہایت سخت سزا ملے گی۔“

Luke 20

1 And it came to pass, on one of the days, as he was teaching the people in the temple, and preaching the gospel, there came upon him the chief priests and the scribes with the elders;2 and they spake, saying unto him, Tell us: By what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?3 And he answered and said unto them, I also will ask you a question; and tell me:4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why did ye not believe him?6 But if we shall say, From men; all the people will stone us: for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.7 And they answered, that they knew not whence it was.8 And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.9 And he began to speak unto the people this parable: A man planted a vineyard, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country for a long time.10 And at the season he sent unto the husbandmen a servant, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.11 And he sent yet another servant: and him also they beat, and handled him shamefully, and sent him away empty.12 And he sent yet a third: and him also they wounded, and cast him forth.13 And the lord of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; it may be they will reverence him.14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned one with another, saying, This is the heir; let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.15 And they cast him forth out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do unto them?16 He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.17 But he looked upon them, and said, What then is this that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner?

18 Every one that falleth on that stone shall be broken to pieces; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust.19 And the scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on him in that very hour; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he spake this parable against them.20 And they watched him, and sent forth spies, who feigned themselves to be righteous, that they might take hold of his speech, so as to deliver him up to the rule and to the authority of the governor.21 And they asked him, saying, Teacher, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, and acceptest not the person of any, but of a truth teachest the way of God:22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them,24 Show me a denarius. Whose image and superscription hath it? And they said, Caesar’s.25 And he said unto them, Then render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s.26 And they were not able to take hold of the saying before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.27 And there came to him certain of the Sadducees, they that say that there is no resurrection;28 and they asked him, saying, Teacher, Moses wrote unto us, that if a man’s brother die, having a wife, and he be childless, his brother should take the wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died childless;30 and the second:31 and the third took her; and likewise the seven also left no children, and died.32 Afterward the woman also died.33 In the resurrection therefore whose wife of them shall she be? for the seven had her to wife.34 And Jesus said unto them, The sons of this world marry, and are given in marriage:35 but they that are accounted worthy to attain to that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:36 for neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.37 But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed, in the place concerning the Bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.38 Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.39 And certain of the scribes answering said, Teacher, thou hast well said.40 For they durst not any more ask him any question.41 And he said unto them, How say they that the Christ is David’s son?42 For David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

43 Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet.

44 David therefore calleth him Lord, and how is he his son?45 And in the hearing of all the people he said unto his disciples,46 Beware of the scribes, who desire to walk in long robes, and love salutations in the marketplaces, and chief seats in the synagogues, and chief places at feasts;47 who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater condemnation.
