LUCAS 20

Ang Pamangkot Parte sa Awtoridad ni Jesus

(Mat. 21:23-27; Mar. 11:27-33)

1 Isa ka adlaw, samtang nagatudlo si Jesus sang Maayong Balita sa mga tawo didto sa templo, nagpalapit sa iya ang manugdumala nga mga pari, ang mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan, kag ang mga manugdumala sang mga Judio.2 Nagpamangkot sila,3 Nagsabat si Jesus sa ila,4  kay sin-o bala naghalin ang awtoridad ni Juan sa pagbautiso, sa Dios + 4 Dios: sa literal, langit. bala ukon sa tawo?"5 Nagbinaisay sila kon ano ang ila isabat,6  Pero kon magsiling kita nga halin sa tawo, batuhon kita sang mga tawo, kay nagapati sila nga si Juan propeta sang Dios ."7 Gani nagsabat sila kay Jesus,

8 Dayon nagsiling si Jesus sa ila,

Ang Paanggid Parte sa Agsador

(Mat. 21:33-46; Mar. 12:1-12)

9 Dayon nagsugid si Jesus sa mga tawo sini nga paanggid:10 Sang tion na sang pagpamupo sang ubas, ginsugo niya ang isa ka suluguon sa mga agsador sa pagkuha sang iya parte. Pero pag-abot didto sang suluguon, ginbakol siya sang mga agsador kag ginpapauli nga wala gid sing dala.11 Dayon nagsugo liwat ang tag-iya sang isa pa ka suluguon. Pero pag-abot sang suluguon sa mga agsador, ginbakol man siya kag ginpakahuy-an kag ginpabalik man nila nga wala gid sing dala.12 Ginsugo pa gid sang tag-iya ang ikatlo nga suluguon, pero pag-abot niya didto ginsakit nila siya kag gintabog pauli.13 Gani nagsiling ang tag-iya sang talamnan,14 Pero pagkakita sang mga agsador sa iya anak, nagsiling sila,

15 Gani gindala nila siya sa guwa sang talamnan kag ginpatay."
it Dayon nagsiling si Jesus sa mga tawo, 16 Sigurado gid nga kadtuan niya ang mga agsador kag pamatyon. Dayon paagsahan niya sa iban ang iya talamnan." Pagkabati sadto sang mga tawo nagsiling sila,

17 Pero gintulok sila ni Jesus kag ginpamangkot,

18 Ang bisan sin-o nga mahulog sa sadto nga bato mabali, pero ang mahulugan sang amo nga bato madugmok gid."

Ang Pagbayad sang Buhis

(Mat. 22:15-22; Mar. 12:13-17)

19 Sa sadto gid nga tion dakpon na siya kuntani sang mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan kag sang manugdumala nga mga pari, kay nahibaluan nila nga sila gid ang iya ginatumod sa iya nga paanggid. Pero nahadlok sila sa mga tawo.20 Gani naghulat pa gid sila sing kahigayunan. Nagpadala sila sing mga espiya nga nagpakuno-kuno nga maayo ang ila tuyo, agod kon may makita sila nga sala sa iya ginapanghambal iakusar nila siya sa gobernador.21 Nagpamangkot ini nga mga espiya kay Jesus,22  Ano bala sa imo, husto bala nga kita nga mga Judio magbayad sang buhis sa Emperador sang Roma ukon indi?"23 Pero nahibaluan ni Jesus ang ila madaya nga tinutuyo, gani nagsiling siya sa ila,24 Nagsabat sila,25 Gani nagsiling si Jesus sa ila,

26 Gani sa atubangan sang tanan wala gid nila siya madakpi sa iya mga paghambal. Kag tungod nga natingala sila sa sabat ni Jesus, naghipos na lang sila.

Ang Pamangkot Parte sa Pagkabanhaw

(Mat. 22:23-33; Mar. 12:18-27)

27 May mga Saduceo nga nagpalapit kay Jesus. Ini nga mga tawo wala nagapati nga may pagkabanhaw.28 Nagpamangkot sila,29 Karon, may pito ka mag-ulutod nga lalaki. Ang kamagulangan nagpangasawa, kag napatay nga wala sing bata.30 Gani ang balo ginpangasawa sang madason nga utod. Pero napatay man siya nga wala sila sang bata.31 Amo man ang natabo sa ikatlo nga utod, hasta sa ikapito. Nagkalamatay sila tanan nga wala gid nakapabata sa sadto nga babayi.32 Sang ulihi ang babayi napatay man.

33 Karon, kon mag-abot na ang pagkabanhaw, kay sin-o gid siya nga asawa? Kay sila nga pito nagpangasawa sa iya."
34 Ginsabat sila ni Jesus,35 Pero ang bisan sin-o nga suno sa Dios takos nga banhawon kag magkabuhi sa palaabuton nga panahon indi na magaasawahay.36 Indi na sila mapatay tungod nga mangin pareho na sila sang mga anghel; mga anak sila sang Dios, kay ginbanhaw sila.37  Kon parte sa pagbanhaw sang mga patay, bisan gani ang ginsiling ni Moises didto sa nagadabadaba nga kahoy-kahoy nagapamatuod sini. Indi bala nga gintawag niya ang Ginoo nga + 37 Exo. 3:6. ?38  it Ti buhi sila, kay ang Dios indi Dios sang mga patay kundi Dios sang mga buhi, kay kon sa iya, buhi ang tanan."39 Nagsiling ang iban nga mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan,

40 Kag wala na gid sing may nangahas nga magpamangkot sa iya.

Ang Pamangkot Parte sa Cristo

(Mat. 22:41-46; Mar. 12:35-37)

41 Karon, nagpamangkot si Jesus sa mga tawo,42 Kay si David mismo nagsiling sa Libro sang mga Salmo:

43  hasta mapaidalom ko sa imo ang imo mga kaaway.> + 42,43 Salmo 110:1.

44  Kon gintawag siya ni David nga iya Ginoo, paano bala nga siya kaliwat lang ni David?"

Nagpaandam si Jesus Parte sa mga Manunudlo sang Kasuguan

(Mat. 23:1-36; Mar. 12:38-40)

45 Sang nagapamati ang mga tawo kay Jesus, nagsiling siya sa iya mga sumulunod,47 Ginaubos nila kuha ang mga pagkabutang sang mga balo nga babayi, kag ginatabon-tabunan lang nila ang ila ginahimo paagi sa malawig nga mga pagpangamuyo. Ini sila magabaton sang mas dako nga silot."

Luke 20

1-2 One day he was teaching the people in the Temple, proclaiming the Message. The high priests, religion scholars, and leaders confronted him and demanded, "Show us your credentials. Who authorized you to speak and act like this?"

3-4 Jesus answered, "First, let me ask you a question: About the baptism of John—who authorized it, heaven or humans?"

5-7 They were on the spot, and knew it. They pulled back into a huddle and whispered, "If we say 'heaven,' he'll ask us why we didn't believe him; if we say 'humans,' the people will tear us limb from limb, convinced as they are that John was God's prophet." They agreed to concede that round to Jesus and said they didn't know.

8 Jesus said, "Then neither will I answer your question."

The Story of Corrupt Farmhands

9-12 Jesus told another story to the people: "A man planted a vineyard. He handed it over to farmhands and went off on a trip. He was gone a long time. In time he sent a servant back to the farmhands to collect the profits, but they beat him up and sent him off empty-handed. He decided to try again and sent another servant. That one they beat black-and-blue, and sent him off empty-handed. He tried a third time. They worked that servant over from head to foot and dumped him in the street.

13 "Then the owner of the vineyard said, 'I know what I'll do: I'll send my beloved son. They're bound to respect my son.'

14-15 "But when the farmhands saw him coming, they quickly put their heads together. 'This is our chance—this is the heir! Let's kill him and have it all to ourselves.' They killed him and threw him over the fence.

16 "What do you think the owner of the vineyard will do? Right. He'll come and clean house. Then he'll assign the care of the vineyard to others."
Those who were listening said, "Oh, no! He'd never do that!"

17-18 But Jesus didn't back down. "Why, then, do you think this was written:
That stone the masons threw out— It's now the cornerstone!? "Anyone falling over that stone will break every bone in his body; if the stone falls on anyone, it will be a total smashup."

19 The religion scholars and high priests wanted to lynch him on the spot, but they were intimidated by public opinion. They knew the story was about them.

Paying Taxes

20-22 Watching for a chance to get him, they sent spies who posed as honest inquirers, hoping to trick him into saying something that would get him in trouble with the law. So they asked him, "Teacher, we know that you're honest and straightforward when you teach, that you don't pander to anyone but teach the way of God accurately. Tell us: Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not?"

23-24 He knew they were laying for him and said, "Show me a coin. Now, this engraving, who does it look like and what does it say?"

25 "Caesar," they said.
Jesus said, "Then give Caesar what is his and give God what is his."

26 Try as they might, they couldn't trap him into saying anything incriminating. His answer caught them off guard and left them speechless.

All Intimacies Will Be with God

27-33 Some Sadducees came up. This is the Jewish party that denies any possibility of resurrection. They asked, "Teacher, Moses wrote us that if a man dies and leaves a wife but no child, his brother is obligated to take the widow to wife and get her with child. Well, there once were seven brothers. The first took a wife. He died childless. The second married her and died, then the third, and eventually all seven had their turn, but no child. After all that, the wife died. That wife, now—in the resurrection whose wife is she? All seven married her."

34-38 Jesus said, "Marriage is a major preoccupation here, but not there. Those who are included in the resurrection of the dead will no longer be concerned with marriage nor, of course, with death. They will have better things to think about, if you can believe it. All ecstasies and intimacies then will be with God. Even Moses exclaimed about resurrection at the burning bush, saying, 'God: God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob!' God isn't the God of dead men, but of the living. To him all are alive."

39-40 Some of the religion scholars said, "Teacher, that's a great answer!" For a while, anyway, no one dared put questions to him.

41-44 Then he put a question to them: "How is it that they say that the Messiah is David's son? In the Book of Psalms, David clearly says,
God said to my Master, "Sit here at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet." "David here designates the Messiah as 'my Master'—so how can the Messiah also be his 'son'?"

45-47 With everybody listening, Jesus spoke to his disciples. "Watch out for the religion scholars. They love to walk around in academic gowns, preen in the radiance of public flattery, bask in prominent positions, sit at the head table at every church function. And all the time they are exploiting the weak and helpless. The longer their prayers, the worse they get. But they'll pay for it in the end."
