ルカによる福音書 21

二一

1 　さて、宮の中でのことです。　イエスは、金持ちたちが次々と献金箱にお金を投げ込む様子を見ておられました。　2 そこへ貧しい身なりの末亡人がやって来て、十円玉を二個そっと投げ入れました。
3 　それを見たイエスは「実のところ、この女は、だれよりも多くささげたのです。　4 ほかの人たちはあり余る中からほんのわずかだけささげたのに、この女は乏しい中から持っている全部をささげたからです」と言われました。
世の終わり
5 　弟子たちの何人かが、神殿のすばらしい石細工や壁の飾りなどに目を奪われ、感心しながら話し合っていました。
6 　するとイエスは、彼らに言われました。　「今は賞賛の的になっているこれらのものが、一つの石もほかの石の上に残らないほど、完全に破壊され、全くの瓦礫の山と化する日がもうすぐ来ます。」
7 　「いつのことですか！　その前に、何か前兆があるのでしょうか。」驚いた弟子たちが、思わず叫びました。
8 　イエスはお答えになりました。　「だれにもだまされないようにしなさい。　『私がキリストだ。　今こそ時が来た』と言いふらす者が大ぜい現われるからです。　そういう人々を、絶対に信じてはいけません。　9 また、戦争や暴動が始まったという情報が乱れ飛んでも、あわてふためかないようにしなさい。　戦争は必ず起こりますが、すぐに終わりが来るわけではありません。　10 民族は民族に、国は国に敵対して立ち上がり、　11 すさまじい地震が起こり、多くの国がききんに見舞われ、伝染病が流行し、恐ろしい異変が天に現われます。
12 　だが、このことが起こる前に、まず大迫害の時代が来るのです。あなたがたは、わたしを信じているばかりに、会堂や牢獄、また王や総督の前に、引っ立てられます。　13 その結果、かえってメシヤ（救い主）のことが広く知られ、あがめられるようになるのです。　14 だから、人々の訴えにどう釈明しようかと心配してはいけません。　15 答えることは、わたしが教えてあげます。　どんな反対者も反論できない、すばらしい答えです。　16 一番身近な人、たとえば両親、兄弟、親類、また友人などがあなたがたを裏切り、逮捕に一役買うようになるでしょう。　中には殺される者も出ます。　17 わたしの弟子だというので、あらゆる人があなたがたを憎むようになるでしょう。　18 だが、あなたがたの髪の毛一本さえ、なくなることはありません。　19 忍耐強く忍び通せば、いのちを自分のものにできるのです。
20 　エルサレムが軍隊に包囲されるのを見たら、滅びの時が来たと思いなさい。　21 ユダヤにいる人たちは山へ逃げなさい。　エルサレムにいる人たちは市外へ逃げなさい。　地方の人たちは都に逃げ込んではいけません。　22 神のさばきの日だからです。　預言者が書いた聖書（旧約）のことばどおりのことが起こるのです。　23 その日、妊娠している女と乳飲み子をかかえた母親は、ほんとうに気の毒です。　この国に大きな苦難がふりかかり、神の怒りが下るからです。　24 人々は敵の手にかかってむごい殺され方をするでしょう。　また捕虜となって多くの国々に連れ去られたり、追放されたりする人もいます。　エルサレムは占領され、神の恵みの時が来て、外国人の勝利の期間が終わるまで、外国人に踏みにじられるのです。
25 　それから、天に不思議な現象が起こります。　太陽と月と星には不吉な前兆が現われ、地上では荒れ狂う海と高潮のために、諸国民はおじ惑い、大騒ぎとなります。　26 人々は、何か、とてつもなく恐ろしいことが起こるのではないかという不安にかられ、意気阻喪します。不動と信じられていた天そのものが揺れ動くのですから、むりもありません。　27 その時、地上にいる人々は、メシヤのわたしが、雲に乗り、力と輝かしい栄光を帯びてやって来るのを見るでしょう。　28 いま言ったようなことが起こり始めたら、しっかりと立ち、天を見上げなさい。　救いの時が近づいているのです。」
29 　このあとイエスは、人々にたとえ話をなさいました。
「いちじくの木やほかの木に注意しなさい。　30 葉が出てくれば、ああ、もうすぐ夏だなと思うでしょう。　31 同じように、こうした現象が起こるのを見たら、神の国はもうそこまで来ていると考えなさい。
32 　はっきり言いましょう。　このことが全部起こってから、世の終わりが来るのです。　33 天と地とは消えてなくなります。　けれどもわたしのことばは、永遠に真実なものとして残るのです。
34-35 気をつけなさい。　わたしは不意に来ます。　その時になって、あわてふためかないようにしなさい。　どんちゃん騒ぎをしたり、酒におぼれたり、ほかの人々のようにこの世の心配事のために駆けずり回ったりしている姿を、見られないようにしなさい。　36 少しでも油断してはいけません。　できることなら、こんな恐ろしい目を見ずに、わたしの前へ出られるように、熱心に祈りなさい。」
37-38 イエスは毎日、宮で教えておられました。　人々は朝早くから、話を聞こうと詰めかけます。　こうして夜になると、オリーブ山に戻られるのが常でした。イエスを殺す陰謀

Luke 21

1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men that were casting their gifts into the treasury.2 And he saw a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than they all:4 for all these did of their superfluity cast in unto the gifts; but she of her want did cast in all the living that she had.5 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and offerings, he said,6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in which there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.7 And they asked him, saying, Teacher, when therefore shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when these things are about to come to pass?8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not led astray: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am he; and, The time is at hand: go ye not after them.9 And when ye shall hear of wars and tumults, be not terrified: for these things must needs come to pass first; but the end is not immediately.10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;11 and there shall be great earthquakes, and in divers places famines and pestilences; and there shall be terrors and great signs from heaven.12 But before all these things, they shall lay their hands on you, and shall persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name’s sake.13 It shall turn out unto you for a testimony.14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate beforehand how to answer:15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to withstand or to gainsay.16 But ye shall be delivered up even by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.18 And not a hair of your head shall perish.19 In your patience ye shall win your souls.20 But when ye see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that her desolation is at hand.21 Then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains; and let them that are in the midst of her depart out; and let not them that are in the country enter therein.22 For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.23 Woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! for there shall be great distress upon the land, and wrath unto this people.24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led captive into all the nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.25 And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows;26 men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.28 But when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads; because your redemption draweth nigh.29 And he spake to them a parable: Behold the fig tree, and all the trees:30 when they now shoot forth, ye see it and know of your own selves that the summer is now nigh.31 Even so ye also, when ye see these things coming to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh.32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all things be accomplished.33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.34 But take heed to yourselves, lest haply your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on you suddenly as a snare:35 for so shall it come upon all them that dwell on the face of all the earth.36 But watch ye at every season, making supplication, that ye may prevail to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.37 And every day he was teaching in the temple; and every night he went out, and lodged in the mount that is called Olivet.38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, to hear him.
