Lukáš 22

1 Přibližoval se pak svátek přesnic, jenž slove velikanoc.2 I hledali přední kněží a zákoníci, kterak by jej vyhladili; ale obávali se lidu.

3 Tedy ďábel vstoupil do Jidáše, kterýž sloul Iškariotský, jednoho z počtu dvanácti.4 A on odšed, mluvil s předními kněžími, a s úředníky nad chrámem, kterak by ho jim zradil.5 I zradovali se, a smluvili s ním, že mu chtí peníze dáti.6 A on také jim přiřekl. I hledal příhodného času, aby ho jim zradil bez zástupu.

7 Tedy přišel den přesnic, v kterémžto zabit měl býti beránek.8 I poslal Ježíš Petra a Jana, řka: Jdouce, připravte nám beránka, abychom jedli.9 A oni řekli mu: Kde chceš, ať připravíme?10 On pak řekl k nim: Aj, když vcházeti budete do města, potkáť vás člověk, dčbán vody nesa. Jdětež za ním do domu, do kteréhož vejde.11 A díte hospodáři toho domu: Vzkazuje tobě Mistr: Kde jest síň, kdežto budu jísti beránka s učedlníky svými?12 A onť vám ukáže večeřadlo veliké podlážené. Tam připravte.13 I odšedše, nalezli, jakž jim pověděl, a připravili beránka.14 A když přišel čas večeře, posadil se za stůl, a dvanácte apoštolů s ním.15 I řekl jim: Žádostí žádal jsem tohoto beránka jísti s vámi, prve než bych trpěl.16 Nebo pravímť vám, žeť ho již více nebudu jísti, ažť se naplní v království Božím.17 A vzav kalich, a díky činiv, řekl: Vezměte jej a dělte mezi sebou.18 Neboť pravím vám, žeť nebudu píti z plodu vinného kořene, ažť království Boží přijde.

19 A vzav chléb, díky činiv, lámal a dal jim, řka: To jest tělo mé, kteréž se za vás dává. To čiňte na mou památku.20 Takž také dal jim i kalich, když bylo po večeři, řka: Tento kalich jest nová smlouva v mé krvi, kteráž se za vás vylévá.

21 Ale aj, ruka zrádce mého se mnou jest za stolem.22 A Syn zajisté člověka jde, tak jakž jest uloženo o něm, ale běda člověku tomu, kterýž ho zrazuje.23 Tedy oni počali vyhledávati mezi sebou, kdo by z nich byl, kterýž by to měl učiniti.

24 Stal se pak i svár mezi nimi, kdo by z nich zdál se býti větší.25 On pak řekl jim: Králové národů panují nad nimi, a kteříž moc mají nad nimi, dobrodincové slovou.26 Ale vy ne tak. Nýbrž kdož větší jest mezi vámi, budiž jako nejmenší, a kdož vůdce jest, budiž jako sloužící.27 Nebo kdo větší jest, ten-li, kterýž sedí, čili ten, kterýž slouží? Zdali ne ten, kterýž sedí? Ale já mezi vámi jsem jako ten, kterýž slouží.28 Vy pak jste ti, kteříž jste v mých pokušeních se mnou zůstali.29 A jáť vám způsobuji, jakož mi způsobil Otec můj, království,30 Abyste jedli a pili za stolem mým v království mém, a seděli na stolicích, soudíce dvanáctero pokolení Izraelské.

31 I řekl Pán: Šimone, Šimone, aj, satan vyprosil vás, aby vás tříbil jako pšenici.32 Ale jáť jsem prosil za tebe, aby nezhynula víra tvá. A ty někdy obrátě se, potvrzuj bratří svých.33 A on řekl jemu: Pane, s tebou hotov jsem i do žaláře i na smrt jíti.34 On pak dí: Pravím tobě, Petře, nezazpíváť dnes kohout, až prve třikrát zapříš, že neznáš mne.35 I řekl jim: Když jsem vás posílal bez pytlíka, a bez mošny, a bez obuvi, zdali jste v čem nedostatek měli? A oni řekli: V ničemž.36 Tedy dí jim: Ale nyní, kdo má pytlík, vezmi jej, a též i mošnu; a kdož nemá, prodej sukni svou, a kup sobě meč.37 Nebo pravím vám, že se ještě to musí naplniti na mně, což psáno: A s nešlechetnými počten jest. Nebo ty věci, kteréž psány jsou o mně, konec berou.38 Oni pak řekli: Pane, aj, dva meče teď. A on řekl jim: Dostiť jest.

39 A vyšed podle obyčeje svého, šel na horu Olivovou, a šli za ním i učedlníci jeho.40 A když přišel na místo, řekl jim: Modlte se, abyste nevešli v pokušení.41 A sám vzdáliv se od nich, jako by mohl kamenem dohoditi, a poklek na kolena, modlil se,42 Řka: Otče, chceš-li, přenes kalich tento ode mne, ale však ne má vůle, ale tvá staň se.43 I ukázal se jemu anděl s nebe, posiluje ho.44 A jsa v boji, horlivěji se modlil. I učiněn jest pot jeho jako krůpě krve tekoucí na zemi.45 A vstav od modlitby, a přišed k učedlníkům, nalezl je, ani spí zámutkem.46 I řekl jim: Co spíte? Vstaňte a modlte se, abyste nevešli v pokušení.

47 A když on ještě mluvil, aj, zástup, a ten, kterýž sloul Jidáš, jeden ze dvanácti, šel napřed, a přiblížil se k Ježíšovi, aby jej políbil.48 Ježíš pak řekl jemu: Jidáši, políbením Syna člověka zrazuješ?49 A vidouce ti, kteříž při něm byli, k čemu se chýlí, řekli jemu: Pane, budeme-liž bíti mečem?

50 I udeřil jeden z nich služebníka nejvyššího kněze, a uťal ucho jeho pravé.51 A Ježíš odpověděv, řekl: Nechtež až potud. A dotkna se ucha jeho, uzdravil jej.52 I dí Ježíš těm, kteříž přišli k němu, předním kněžím a úředníkům chrámu a starším: Jako na lotra vyšli jste s meči a s kyjmi?53 Ješto na každý den býval jsem s vámi v chrámě, a nevztáhli jste rukou na mne. Ale totoť jest ta vaše hodina a moc temnosti.

54 A oni javše jej, vedli ho, a uvedli do domu nejvyššího kněze. Petr pak šel za ním zdaleka.55 A když zanítili oheň uprostřed síně a posadili se vůkol, sedl Petr mezi ně.56 A uzřevši ho jedna děvečka, an sedí u ohně, a pilně naň pohleděvši, řekla: I tento byl s ním.57 A on zapřel ho, řka: Ženo, neznám ho.58 A po malé chvíli jiný, vida jej, řekl: I ty z nich jsi. Petr pak řekl: Ó člověče, nejsem.59 A potom asi po jedné hodině jiný potvrzoval, řka: V pravdě i tento s ním byl, neb i Galilejský jest.60 I řekl Petr: Člověče, nevím, co pravíš. A hned, když on ještě mluvil, kohout zazpíval.61 I obrátiv se Pán, pohleděl na Petra. I rozpomenul se Petr na slovo Páně, kterak jemu byl řekl: Že prve než kohout zazpívá, třikrát mne zapříš.62 I vyšed ven Petr, plakal hořce.

63 Muži pak ti, kteříž drželi Ježíše, posmívali se jemu, tepouce ho.64 A zakrývajíce ho, bili jej v tvář, a tázali se ho, řkouce: Prorokuj, kdo jest, kterýž tebe udeřil?65 A jiného mnoho, rouhajíce se, mluvili proti němu.

66 A když byl den, sešli se starší lidu a přední kněží a zákoníci, a vedli ho do rady své,67 Řkouce: Jsi-li ty Kristus? Pověz nám! I dí jim: Povím-li vám, nikoli neuvěříte.68 A pakli se vás co otíži, neodpovíte mi, ani propustíte.69 Ale od této chvíle Syn člověka sedne na pravici moci Boží.70 I řekli všickni: Tedy jsi ty Syn Boží? On pak řekl jim: Vy pravíte, že já jsem.71 A oni řekli: Což ještě potřebujeme svědectví? Však jsme sami slyšeli z úst jeho.

Luke 22

Judas’ Decision to Betray Jesus

1 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread,s which is called the Passover, was approaching.

2 Thet chief priests and the experts in the lawt were trying to find some wayt to executet Jesus,t for they were afraid of the people.s
3 Thent Satans entered Judas, the one called Iscariot, who was one of the twelve.t4 He went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers of the temple guardt how he mightt betray Jesus,t handing him over to them.t5 Theyt were delighteds and arranged to give him money.s

6 Sot Judast agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesust when no crowd was present.ts

The Passover

7 Then the day for the feastt of Unleavened Bread came, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed.s8 Jesust sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passovers for us to eat.”t9 Theyt said to him, “Where do you want us to preparet it?”10 He said to them, “Listen,t when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of waters will meet you.s Follow him into the house that he enters,11 and tell the owner of the house,t ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’12 Then he will show you a large furnished room upstairs. Make preparations there.”

13 Sot they went and found thingst just as he had told them,s and they prepared the Passover.

The Lord’s Supper

14 Nowt when the hour came, Jesust took his place at the tablet and the apostles joinedt him.15 And he said to them, “I have earnestly desiredt to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.16 For I tell you, I will not eat it againt until it is fulfilleds in the kingdom of God.”s17 Thent he took a cup,s and after giving thanks he said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.18 For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruitt of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”s19 Thent he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my bodys which is given for you.s Do this in remembrance of me.”

20 And in the same way he tookt the cup after they had eaten,t saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenants in my blood.

A Final Discourse

21 “But look, the hand of the one who betrayss me is with me on the table.s22 For the Son of Man is to go just as it has been determined,s but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!”

23 Sot they began to question one another as to which of them it could possibly be who would do this.
24 A dispute also startedt among them over which of them was to be regarded as the greatest.t25 Sot Jesust said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’s26 Not so with you;t instead the one who is greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leadert like the one who serves.s

27 For who is greater, the one who is seated at the table,t or the one who serves? Is it nott the one who is seated at the table? But I am among you as ones who serves.
28 “You are the ones who have remainedt with me in my trials.29 Thust I grants to you a kingdom,t just as my Father granted to me,

30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sitt on thrones judgings the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 “Simon,s Simon, pay attention!t Satan has demanded to have you all,s to sift you like wheat,s32 but I have prayed for you, Simon,s that your faith may not fail.s Whent you have turned back,t strengthens your brothers.”33 But Petert said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”s

34 Jesus replied,t “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crows today until you have denieds three times that you know me.”
35 Thent Jesust said to them, “When I sent you out with no money bag,t or traveler’s bag,t or sandals, you didn’t lacks anything, did you?” They replied,t “Nothing.”36 He said to them, “But now, the one whot has a money bag must take it, and likewise a traveler’s bagt too. And the one who has no sword must sell his cloak and buy one.37 For I tell you that this scripture must bes fulfilled in me, ‘And he was counted with the transgressors.’ts For what is written about me is being fulfilled.”t

38 Sot they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.”s Then he told them, “It is enough.”s

On the Mount of Olives

39 Thent Jesust went out and made his way,t as he customarily did, to the Mount of Olives,s and the disciples followed him.40 When he came to the place,s he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”s41 He went away from them about a stone’s throw, knelt down, and prayed,42 “Father, if you are willing, taket this cups away from me. Yet not my will but yourss be done.”43 Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.44 And in his anguisht he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.]sss45 Whent he got up from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, exhaustedt from grief.

46 Sot he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you will not fall into temptation!”s

Betrayal and Arrest

47 While he was still speaking, suddenly a crowd appeared,t and the man named Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He walked upt to Jesus to kiss him.s48 But Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”s49 Whent those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said, “Lord, shouldt we use our swords?”s50 Thent one of thems struck the high priest’s slave,t cutting off his right ear.51 But Jesus said,t “Enough of this!” And he touched the man’st ear and healeds him.52 Thent Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple guard,t and the elders who had come out to get him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs like you would against an outlaw?t

53 Day after day when I was with you in the temple courts,t you did not arrest me.t But this is your hour,t and that of the powert of darkness!”

Jesus’ Condemnation and Peter’s Denials

54 Thent they arrestedt Jesus,t led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house.s But Peter was following at a distance.55 When they had made a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.56 Then a slave girl,t seeing him as he sat in the firelight, stared at him and said, “This man was with him too!”57 But Petert denied it: “Woman,s I don’t knows him!”58 Thent a little later someone elses saw him and said, “You are one of them too.” But Peter said, “Man,t I am not!”59 And after about an hour still another insisted,t “Certainly this man was with him, because he too is a Galilean.”s60 But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” At that moment,t while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.t61 Thent the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the Lord,t how he had said to him, “Before a rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.”

62 And he went outside and wept bitterly.s
63 Nowt the men who were holding Jesust under guard began to mock him and beat him.64 Theyt blindfolded him and asked him repeatedly,t “Prophesy! Who hit you?”ts

65 They also said many other things against him, revilingt him.
66 When day came, the council of the elders of the people gathered together, both the chief priests and the experts in the law.t Thent they led Jesust away to their councils67 and said, “Ift you are the Christ,ts tell us.” But he said to them, “Ift I tell you, you will nott believe,68 and ift I ask you, you will nott answer.69 But from now onsthe Son of Man will be seated at the right hands of the powers of God.”70 Sot they all said, “Are you the Son of God,s then?” He answeredt them, “You says that I am.”

71 Thent they said, “Why do we need further testimony? We have heard it ourselvess from his own lips!”t
