1 و چون عید فطیر که به فصح معروف است نزدیک شد،2 روسای کهنه وکاتبان مترصد میبودند که چگونه او را به قتل رسانند، زیرا که از قوم ترسیدند.3 اما شیطان در یهودای مسمی به اسخریوطی که ازجمله آن دوازده بود داخل گشت،4 و اورفته با روسای کهنه و سرداران سپاه گفتگو کرد که چگونه او را به ایشان تسلیم کند.5 ایشان شادشده با او عهد بستند که نقدی به وی دهند.6 و اوقبول کرده در صدد فرصتی برآمد که اورا درنهانی از مردم به ایشان تسلیم کند.7 اما چون روز فطیر که در آن میبایست فصح را ذبح کنند رسید،8 پطرس و یوحنا را فرستاده، گفت: «بروید و فصح را بجهت ما آماده کنید تابخوریم.»9 به وی گفتند: «در کجا میخواهی مهیا کنیم؟»10 ایشان را گفت: «اینک هنگامی که داخل شهر شوید، شخصی با سبوی آب به شمابرمی خورد. به خانهای که او درآید، از عقب وی بروید،11 و به صاحبخانه گویید، استاد تو را می گوید مهمانخانه کجا است تا در آن فصح را باشاگردان خود بخورم.12 او بالاخانهای بزرگ ومفروش به شما نشان خواهد داد در آنجا مهیاسازید.»13 پس رفته چنانکه به ایشان گفته بودیافتند و فصح را آماده کردند.14 و چون وقت رسید با دوازده رسول بنشست.15 و به ایشان گفت: «اشتیاق بینهایت داشتم که پیش از زحمت دیدنم، این فصح را باشما بخورم.16 زیرا به شما میگویم از این دیگرنمی خورم تا وقتی که در ملکوت خدا تمام شود.»17 پس پیالهای گرفته، شکر نمود و گفت: «این رابگیرید و در میان خود تقسیم کنید.18 زیرا به شما میگویم که تا ملکوت خدا نیاید، از میوه مودیگر نخواهم نوشید.»19 و نان را گرفته، شکرنمود و پاره کرده، به ایشان داد و گفت: «این است جسد من که برای شما داده میشود، این را به یادمن بهجا آرید.»20 و همچنین بعد از شام پیاله راگرفت و گفت: «این پیاله عهد جدید است در خون من که برای شما ریخته میشود.21 لیکن اینک دست آن کسیکه مرا تسلیم میکند با من در سفره است.22 زیرا که پسر انسان برحسب آنچه مقدراست، میرود لیکن وای بر آن کسیکه او را تسلیم کند.»23 آنگاه از یکدیگر شروع کردند به پرسیدن که کدامیک از ایشان باشد که این کار بکند؟24 و در میان ایشان نزاعی نیز افتاد که کدامیک ازایشان بزرگتر میباشد؟25 آنگاه به ایشان گفت: «سلاطین امتها بر ایشان سروری میکنند وحکام خود را ولینعمت میخوانند.26 لیکن شماچنین مباشید، بلکه بزرگتر از شما مثل کوچکترباشد و پیشوا چون خادم.27 زیرا کدامیک بزرگتراست آنکه به غذا نشیند یا آنکه خدمت کند آیانیست آنکه نشسته است؟ لیکن من در میان شماچون خادم هستم.28 و شما کسانی میباشید که در امتحانهای من با من بهسر بردید.29 و من ملکوتی برای شما قرار میدهم چنانکه پدرم برای من مقرر فرمود.30 تا در ملکوت من از خوان من بخورید و بنوشید و بر کرسیها نشسته بردوازده سبط اسرائیل داوری کنید.»31 پس خداوند گفت: «ای شمعون، ای شمعون، اینک شیطان خواست شما را چون گندم غربال کند،32 لیکن من برای تو دعا کردم تاایمانت تلف نشود و هنگامی که تو بازگشت کنی برادران خود را استوار نما.»33 به وی گفت: «ای خداوند حاضرم که با تو بروم حتی در زندان و درموت.»34 گفت: «تو را میگویمای پطرس امروزخروس بانگ نزده باشد که سه مرتبه انکار خواهی کرد که مرا نمی شناسی.»35 و به ایشان گفت: «هنگامی که شما را بیکیسه و توشهدان و کفش فرستادم به هیچچیز محتاج شدید؟» گفتند هیچ.36 پس به ایشان گفت: «لیکن الان هرکه کیسه دارد، آن را بردارد و همچنین توشهدان را و کسیکه شمشیر ندارد جامه خود را فروخته آن رابخرد.37 زیرا به شما میگویم که این نوشته در من میباید به انجام رسید، یعنی با گناهکاران محسوب شد زیرا هرچه در خصوص من است، انقضا دارد.38 گفتند: «ای خداوند اینک دوشمشیر.» به ایشان گفت: «کافی است.»39 و برحسب عادت بیرون شده به کوه زیتون رفت و شاگردانش از عقب او رفتند.40 و چون به آن موضع رسید، به ایشان گفت: «دعا کنید تا درامتحان نیفتید.»41 و او از ایشان به مسافت پرتاپ سنگی دور شده، به زانو درآمد و دعا کرده، گفت:42 «ای پدر اگر بخواهی این پیاله را از من بگردان، لیکن نه به خواهش من بلکه به اراده تو.»43 وفرشتهای از آسمان بر او ظاهر شده او را تقویت مینمود.44 پس به مجاهده افتاده به سعی بلیغتردعا کرد، چنانکه عرق او مثل قطرات خون بود که بر زمین میریخت.45 پس از دعا برخاسته نزدشاگردان خود آمده ایشان را از حزن در خواب یافت.46 به ایشان گفت: «برای چه در خواب هستید؟ برخاسته دعا کنید تا در امتحان نیفتید.»47 و سخن هنوز بر زبانش بود که ناگاه جمعی آمدند و یکی از آن دوازده که یهودا نام داشت بردیگران سبقت جسته نزد عیسی آمد تا او راببوسد.48 و عیسی بدو گفت: «ای یهودا آیا به بوسه پسر انسان را تسلیم میکنی؟»49 رفقایش چون دیدند که چه میشود عرض کردند خداوندابه شمشیر بزنیم.50 و یکی از ایشان، غلام رئیس کهنه را زده، گوش راست او را از تن جدا کرد.51 عیسی متوجه شده گفت: «تا به این بگذارید.» وگوش او را لمس نموده، شفا داد.52 پس عیسی به روسای کهنه و سرداران سپاه هیکل و مشایخی که نزد او آمده بودند گفت: «گویا بر دزد با شمشیرها و چوبها بیرون آمدید.53 وقتی که هر روزه در هیکل با شما میبودم دست بر من دراز نکردید، لیکن این است ساعت شما و قدرت ظلمت.»54 پس او را گرفته بردند و بهسرای رئیس کهنه آوردند و پطرس از دور از عقب میآمد.55 و چون در میان ایوان آتش افروخته گردش نشسته بودند، پطرس در میان ایشان بنشست.56 آنگاه کنیزکی چون او را در روشنی آتش نشسته دید بر او چشم دوخته گفت: «این شخص هم با او میبود.»57 او وی را انکار کرده گفت: «ای زن او را نمی شناسم.»58 بعد از زمانی دیگری او را دیده گفت: «تو از اینها هستی.» پطرس گفت: «ای مرد، من نیستم.»59 و چون تخمین یک ساعت گذشت یکی دیگر با تاکیدگفت: «بلاشک این شخص از رفقای او است زیراکه جلیلی هم هست.»60 پطرس گفت: «ای مردنمی دانم چه میگویی؟» در همان ساعت که این رامی گفت خروس بانگ زد.61 آنگاه خداوندروگردانیده به پطرس نظر افکند پس پطرس آن کلامی را که خداوند به وی گفته بود بهخاطرآورد که قبل از بانگ زدن خروس سه مرتبه مراانکار خواهی کرد.62 پس پطرس بیرون رفته زارزار بگریست.63 و کسانی که عیسی را گرفته بودند، او راتازیانه زده استهزا نمودند.64 و چشم او را بسته طپانچه بر رویش زدند و از وی سوال کرده، گفتند: «نبوت کن که تو را زده است؟»65 و بسیارکفر دیگر به وی گفتند.66 و چون روز شد اهل شورای قوم یعنی روسای کهنه و کاتبان فراهم آمده در مجلس خوداو را آورده،67 گفتند: «اگر تو مسیح هستی به مابگو: «او به ایشان گفت: «اگر به شما گویم مراتصدیق نخواهید کرد.68 و اگر از شما سوال کنم جواب نمی دهید و مرا رها نمی کنید.69 لیکن بعداز این پسر انسان به طرف راست قوت خداخواهد نشست.»70 همه گفتند: «پس تو پسر خداهستی؟» او به ایشان گفت: «شما میگویید که من هستم.»71 گفتند: «دیگر ما را چه حاجت به شهادت است، زیرا خود از زبانش شنیدیم.»

LUKE 22

A Plot To Kill Jesus

(Matthew 26.1-5,14,16; Mark 14.1,2,10,11; John 11.45-53)

1  t The Festival of Thin Bread, also called Passover, was near. 2 The chief priests and the teachers of the Law of Moses were looking for a way to get rid of Jesus, because they were afraid of what the people might do.

3 Then Satan entered the heart of Judas Iscariot, t who was one of the twelve apostles.
4 Judas went to talk with the chief priests and the officers of the temple police about how he could help them arrest Jesus. 5 They were very pleased and offered to pay Judas some money.

6 He agreed and started looking for a good chance to betray Jesus when the crowds were not around.

Jesus Eats with His Disciples

(Matthew 26.17-25; Mark 14.12-21; John 13.21-30)

8 So Jesus said to Peter and John, “Go and prepare the Passover meal for us to eat.”

9 But they asked, “Where do you want us to prepare it?”
10 Jesus told them, “As you go into the city, you will meet a man carrying a jar of water.t Follow him into the house 11 and say to the owner, ‘Our teacher wants to know where he can eat the Passover meal with his disciples.’

12 The owner will take you upstairs and show you a large room ready for you to use. Prepare the meal there.”

13 Peter and John left. They found everything just as Jesus had told them, and they prepared the Passover meal.

The Lord's Supper

(Matthew 26.26-30; Mark 14.22-26; 1 Corinthians 11.23-25)

16 I tell you I will not eat another Passover meal until it is finally eaten in God's kingdom.”
17 Jesus took a cup of wine in his hands and gave thanks to God. Then he told the apostles, “Take this wine and share it with each other.

18 I tell you that I will not drink any more wine until God's kingdom comes.”

19 Jesus took some bread in his hands and gave thanks for it. He broke the bread and handed it to his apostles. Then he said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Eat this as a way of remembering me!”
20  t After the meal he took another cup of wine in his hands. Then he said, “This is my blood. It is poured out for you, and with it God makes his new agreement. 21 t The one who will betray me is here at the table with me!

22 The Son of Man will die in the way that has been decided for him, but it will be terrible for the one who betrays him!”

23 Then the apostles started arguing about who would ever do such a thing.

An Argument about Greatness

25 t So Jesus told them:
Foreign kings order their people around, and powerful rulers call themselves everyone's friends.t 26 t But don't be like them. The most important one of you should be like the least important, and your leader should be like a servant.

27 t Who do people think is the greatest, a person who is served or one who serves? Isn't it the one who is served? But I have been with you as a servant.
28 You have stayed with me in all my troubles. 29 So I will give you the right to rule as kings, just as my Father has given me the right to rule as a king.

30 t You will eat and drink with me in my kingdom, and you will each sit on a throne to judge the twelve tribes of Israel.

Jesus' Disciples //Will Be Tested

(Matthew 26.31-35; Mark 14.27-31; John 13.36-38)

32 But Simon, I have prayed that your faith will be strong. And when you have come back to me, help the others.”

33 Peter said, “Lord, I am ready to go with you to jail and even to die with you.”

34 Jesus replied, “Peter, I tell you that before a rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will say three times that you don't know me.”

Moneybags, Traveling Bags, //and Swords

35  t Jesus asked his disciples, “When I sent you out without a moneybag or a traveling bag or sandals, did you need anything?”
“No!” they answered.
36 Jesus told them, “But now, if you have a moneybag, take it with you. Also take a traveling bag, and if you don't have a sword, t sell some of your clothes and buy one.

37 t Do this because the Scriptures say, ‘He was considered a criminal.’ This was written about me, and it will soon come true.”

38 The disciples said, “Lord, here are two swords!”
“Enough of that!” Jesus replied.

Jesus Prays

(Matthew 26.36-46; Mark 14.32-42)

40 When they got there, he told them, “Pray that you won't be tested.”
41 Jesus walked on a little way before he knelt down and prayed,

42 “Father, if you will, please don't make me suffer by drinking from this cup.t But do what you want, and not what I want.”
43 Then an angel from heaven came to help him.

44 Jesus was in great pain and prayed so sincerely that his sweat fell to the ground like drops of blood.t
45 Jesus got up from praying and went over to his disciples. They were asleep and worn out from being so sad.

46 He said to them, “Why are you asleep? Wake up and pray that you won't be tested.”

Jesus Is Arrested

(Matthew 26.47-56; Mark 14.43-50; John 18.3-11)

47 While Jesus was still speaking, a crowd came up. It was led by Judas, one of the twelve apostles. He went over to Jesus and greeted him with a kiss.t

48 Jesus asked Judas, “Are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
49 When Jesus' disciples saw what was about to happen, they asked, “Lord, should we attack them with a sword?”

50 One of the disciples even struck at the high priest's servant with his sword and cut off the servant's right ear.

51 “Enough of that!” Jesus said. Then he touched the servant's ear and healed it.
52 Jesus spoke to the chief priests, the temple police, and the leaders who had come to arrest him. He said, “Why do you come out with swords and clubs and treat me like a criminal?

53 t I was with you every day in the temple, and you didn't arrest me. But this is your time, and darknesst is in control.”

Peter Says //He Doesn't Know Jesus

(Matthew 26.57,58,67-75; Mark 14.53,54,66-72; John 18.12-18,25-27)

56 and a servant girl saw him. Then after she had looked at him carefully, she said, “This man was with Jesus!”

57 Peter said, “Woman, I don't even know that man!”

58 A little later someone else saw Peter and said, “You are one of them!”
“No, I'm not!” Peter replied.

59 About an hour later another man insisted, “This man must have been with Jesus. They both come from Galilee.”

60 Peter replied, “I don't know what you are talking about!” Right then, while Peter was still speaking, a rooster crowed.
61 The Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered that the Lord had said, “Before a rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will say three times that you don't know me.”

62 Then Peter went out and cried bitterly.
63 The men who were guarding Jesus made fun of him and beat him. 64 They put a blindfold on him and said, “Tell us who struck you!”

65 They kept on insulting Jesus in many other ways.

Jesus Is Questioned //by the Council

(Matthew 26.59-66; Mark 14.55-64; John 18.19-24)

67 They said, “Tell us! Are you the Messiah?”
Jesus replied, “If I said so, you wouldn't believe me. 68 And if I asked you a question, you wouldn't answer.

69 But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right side of God All-Powerful.”

70 Then they asked, “Are you the Son of God?”t
Jesus answered, “You say I am!”t
71 They replied, “Why do we need more witnesses? He said it himself!”
