הבשורה על-פי לוקס 22

כב

1-2 בהתקרב חג הפסח חיפשו ראשי הכוהנים והסופרים דרך להיפטר מישוע בלי לעורר מהומות בעם - דבר שפחדו ממנו מאוד.

3 באותה עת פיתה השטן את יהודה איש קריות, שהיה אחד משנים-עשר תלמידי ישוע.

4 יהודה הלך אל ראשי הכוהנים ואל מפקדי משמר בית- המקדש כדי להתייעץ איתם כיצד להסגיר את ישוע לידיהם.

5 ראשי הכוהנים ומפקדי משמר בית-המקדש שמחו מאוד על העזרה שהציע להם יהודה, והבטיחו לו כסף.

6 מאותה עת חיפש יהודה הזדמנות להסגיר את ישוע לידיהם, כשלא יהיה בחברת אנשים רבים.

7 בהגיע חג הפסח, בו מקריבים זבח,

8 שלח ישוע את פטרוס ויוחנן להכין את הסדר.

9 "היכן אתה רוצה שנכין את הסעודה?" שאלו את ישוע.

10 "בכניסה לירושלים תפגשו אדם נושא כד מים," השיב ישוע. "לכו אחריו, היכנסו אל הבית שאליו יכנס

11 ואמרו לבעל הבית: 'רבנו ביקש שתראה לנו את חדר האורחים אשר הכנת לו ולתלמידיו בשביל הסדר.'

12 הוא יוביל אתכם אל הקומה השנייה ויראה לכם חדר גדול שהכין למעננו. שם תכינו את הסעודה."

13 פטרוס ויוחנן הלכו העירה; הכול התרחש בדיוק כפי שאמר ישוע, והם הכינו את הסדר.

14 מאוחר יותר הגיעו ישוע ושאר התלמידים, וכשהגיעה השעה התיישבו כולם סביב השולחן.

15 "נכספתי לאכול עמכם את סעודת הפסח לפני שאתייסר," פתח ישוע ואמר:

16 "אני אומר לכם ששוב לא אוכל את סעודת הפסח, עד אשר יתקיים במלוא משמעותה במלכות האלוהים."

17 לאחר מכן לקח ישוע כוס יין, ברך ואמר: "קחו את היין ושתו ממנו כולכם.

18 דעו לכם ששוב לא אשתה יין עד אשר תבוא מלכות האלוהים."

19 לאחר מכן הוא לקח כיכר לחם (מצה), ברך, פרס את הלחם לפרוסות, נתן לתלמידיו ואמר: "זהו גופי הניתן בעדכם. איכלו אותו לזיכרוני."

20 בתום הסעודה הגיש להם ישוע עוד כוס יין ואמר: "זהו הדם אשר נשפך למען רבים, כדי לחתום את הברית החדשה בין אלוהים לבני-האדם.

21 אולם ליד השולחן יושב האיש שיסגיר אותי.

22 אמנם נגזר עלי למות, אבל אוי לאיש שיסגיר אותי!"

23 התלמידים החלו לשאול זה את זה מי מהם עלול לעשות מעשה נורא שכזה.

24 בין התלמידים התעורר ויכוח: מי מהם החשוב ביותר.

25 אמר להם ישוע: "בעולמנו רודים המלכים והשליטים בנתיניהם, ובכל זאת אלה נחשבים לדורשים בטוב נתיניהם.

26 אולם אצלכם המצב שונה: מי שמרבה לשרת אתכם הוא יהיה הגדול מביניכם, והמנהיג יהיה משרת.

27 ומי נחשב גדול, מי שיושב בשולחן או מי שמשרת את מי שבשולחן? כמובן שהיושב בשולחן. ואילו אני ביניכם כמשרת.

28 "מאחר ששמרתם לי אמונים על-אף הצרות והקשיים,

29 ומאחר שאבי הנחיל לי מלכות, הריני מעניק לכם בזאת את הזכות

30 לאכול ולשתות על שולחני במלכותי, ולשבת על כיסאות לשפוט את שנים-עשר שבטי ישראל."

31 "שמעון, שמעון," המשיך האדון, "השטן דורש את כולכם, לסנן אתכם כמו חיטה.

32 אבל התפללתי בעדך שלא תאבד את אמונתך. לאחר שתחזור בתשובה חזק את אחיך."

33 "אדוני," קרא שמעון פטרוס, "אני מוכן ללכת איתך לבית-הסוהר ואף למות איתך!"

34 אולם ישוע ענה: "פטרוס, אני אומר לך שעוד היום, לפני קריאת התרנגול, תתכחש לי שלוש פעמים ותאמר שאינך מכיר אותי כלל.

35 "כאשר שלחתי אתכם לבשר את הבשורה בלי כסף, בלי תרמיל ובלי נעליים האם חסרתם משהו?" המשיך ישוע.
"לא חסר לנו דבר," השיבו.

36 "אבל עכשיו," אמר להם ישוע, "למי שיש כסף ותרמיל שייקח אותם איתו; ולמי שאין חרב - שימכור את מעילו ויקנה אחת.

37 כי הגיע המועד שתתקיים הנבואה הכתובה עליt: 'הוא נימנה בין פושעים.' כן, כל מה שכתבו עלי הנביאים יתקיים במלואו."

38 "אדון," קראו התלמידים, "יש לנו כאן שתי חרבות."
"אלה מספיקות לכם," השיב ישוע.

39 לאחר מכן יצא ישוע מהעיר והלך אל הר הזיתים, כמנהגו מדי יום, והתלמידים הלכו בעקבותיו.

40 בהגיעו אל המקום אמר ישוע לתלמידיו: "התפללו שלא תבואו לידי ניסיון."

41 ישוע התרחק מתלמידיו מרחק-מה, כרע על ברכיו והתפלל:

42 "אבי, אם יש ברצונך, אנא, הרחק ממני את כוס הייסורים. אולם אני רוצה שייעשה רצונך ולא רצוני."

43 לאחר מכן נגלה אליו מלאך מן השמים וחיזק אותו.

44 בגלל סבלו הרב הוא התפלל בדבקות רבה, וזיעתו נפלה על הארץ כטיפות דם גדולות.

45 כאשר סיים ישוע את תפילתו וחזר אל תלמידיו, מצא אותם ישנים מרוב צער ועייפות.

46 "מדוע אתם ישנים?" שאל ישוע. "קומו והתפללו שלא תבואו לידי ניסיון."

47 בעודו מדבר התקרב אליו קהל גדול של אנשים ובראשם צעד יהודה, שהיה אחד מתלמידיו. יהודה קרב אל ישוע כדי לנשקו,

48 אולם ישוע אמר לו: "יהודה, האם בנשיקה אתה עומד להסגיר את בן-האדם?"

49 כשראו התלמידים את העומד להתרחש שאלו את ישוע: "אדון, אתה רוצה שנכה אותם בחרבות שלנו?

50 ואחד מהם קיצץ את אוזנו הימנית של עבד הכוהן הגדול.

51 ישוע עצר בעדם ואמר: "הניחו להם לעשות את שלהם." לאחר מכן נגע באוזנו של העבד וריפא אותה.

52 ישוע פנה אל ראשי הכוהנים, מפקדי משמר בית-המקדש והזקנים שבאו לאסרו: 'מדוע אתם באים אלי במקלות ובחרבות, האם אני גנב או שודד?

53 מדוע לא אסרתם אותי בבית-המקדש? הרי הייתי שם כל יום. אבל זוהי שעתכם, ושעת שלטון החושך."

54 הם אסרו את ישוע והובילוהו אל בית הכוהן הגדול. פטרוס הלך אחריהם במרחק-מה,

55 אולם הצטרף אליהם כשהדליקו מדורה בחצר והתיישבו סביבה.

56 משרתת אחת הבחינה בפטרוס לאור המדורה. היא נעצה בו מבט וקראה: "האיש הזה היה עם ישוע!"

57 פטרוס הכחיש בתוקף את דבריה: "אישה, איני מכיר אותו כלל!"

58 כעבור זמן קצר הבחין מישהו אחר בפטרוס. "אתה ודאי אחד מהם!" אמר. "מה פתאום," הכחיש פטרוס, "אינני אחד מהם!"

59 כעבור שעה בערך העיר אדם נוסף: "אין לי ספק שהאיש הזה היה עם ישוע, כי שניהם מהגליל."

60 פטרוס הכחיש שוב: "בן-אדם, איני יודע על מה אתה מדבר..." לפני שסיים פטרוס את דבריו נשמעה קריאת התרנגול.

61 באותו רגע פנה ישוע והביט בעיניו של פטרוס. אז נזכר פטרוס בדברי האדון: "לפני קריאת התרנגול תתכחש לי שלוש פעמים."

62 הוא יצא מהחצר ומירר בבכי.

63 החיילים שהופקדו על שמירת ישוע לעגו לו, הכו אותו והתעללו בו.

64 הם קשרו את עיניו, הכו אותו באגרופים וקראו בלעג: "נביא שכמוך, נחש מי הכה אותך?"

65 הם המשיכו לקלל ולהעליב אותו.

66 למחרת בבוקר הובא ישוע לפני חברי הסנהדרין, ראשי הכוהנים, הסופרים וזקני העם.

67 "האם אתה באמת המשיח?" שאלו אותו.
אך ישוע השיב: "אם אגיד לכם, לא תאמינו לי,

68 ואם אשאל אתכם שאלות לא תשיבו לי.

69 אולם עוד מעט בן-האדם ישב לימין גבורת האלוהים."

70 "אם כך, בן-אלוהים אתה?"
"אתם אמרתם שאני הוא" השיב ישוע.

71 "איננו זקוקים לעדויות נוספות!" הם קראו. "במו אוזנינו שמענו אותו אומר דברים אלה!"

Luke 22

Judas’ Decision to Betray Jesus

1 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread,s which is called the Passover, was approaching.

2 Thet chief priests and the experts in the lawt were trying to find some wayt to executet Jesus,t for they were afraid of the people.s
3 Thent Satans entered Judas, the one called Iscariot, who was one of the twelve.t4 He went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers of the temple guardt how he mightt betray Jesus,t handing him over to them.t5 Theyt were delighteds and arranged to give him money.s

6 Sot Judast agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesust when no crowd was present.ts

The Passover

7 Then the day for the feastt of Unleavened Bread came, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed.s8 Jesust sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passovers for us to eat.”t9 Theyt said to him, “Where do you want us to preparet it?”10 He said to them, “Listen,t when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of waters will meet you.s Follow him into the house that he enters,11 and tell the owner of the house,t ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’12 Then he will show you a large furnished room upstairs. Make preparations there.”

13 Sot they went and found thingst just as he had told them,s and they prepared the Passover.

The Lord’s Supper

14 Nowt when the hour came, Jesust took his place at the tablet and the apostles joinedt him.15 And he said to them, “I have earnestly desiredt to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.16 For I tell you, I will not eat it againt until it is fulfilleds in the kingdom of God.”s17 Thent he took a cup,s and after giving thanks he said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves.18 For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruitt of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”s19 Thent he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my bodys which is given for you.s Do this in remembrance of me.”

20 And in the same way he tookt the cup after they had eaten,t saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenants in my blood.

A Final Discourse

21 “But look, the hand of the one who betrayss me is with me on the table.s22 For the Son of Man is to go just as it has been determined,s but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!”

23 Sot they began to question one another as to which of them it could possibly be who would do this.
24 A dispute also startedt among them over which of them was to be regarded as the greatest.t25 Sot Jesust said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’s26 Not so with you;t instead the one who is greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leadert like the one who serves.s

27 For who is greater, the one who is seated at the table,t or the one who serves? Is it nott the one who is seated at the table? But I am among you as ones who serves.
28 “You are the ones who have remainedt with me in my trials.29 Thust I grants to you a kingdom,t just as my Father granted to me,

30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sitt on thrones judgings the twelve tribes of Israel.
31 “Simon,s Simon, pay attention!t Satan has demanded to have you all,s to sift you like wheat,s32 but I have prayed for you, Simon,s that your faith may not fail.s Whent you have turned back,t strengthens your brothers.”33 But Petert said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”s

34 Jesus replied,t “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crows today until you have denieds three times that you know me.”
35 Thent Jesust said to them, “When I sent you out with no money bag,t or traveler’s bag,t or sandals, you didn’t lacks anything, did you?” They replied,t “Nothing.”36 He said to them, “But now, the one whot has a money bag must take it, and likewise a traveler’s bagt too. And the one who has no sword must sell his cloak and buy one.37 For I tell you that this scripture must bes fulfilled in me, ‘And he was counted with the transgressors.’ts For what is written about me is being fulfilled.”t

38 Sot they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.”s Then he told them, “It is enough.”s

On the Mount of Olives

39 Thent Jesust went out and made his way,t as he customarily did, to the Mount of Olives,s and the disciples followed him.40 When he came to the place,s he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”s41 He went away from them about a stone’s throw, knelt down, and prayed,42 “Father, if you are willing, taket this cups away from me. Yet not my will but yourss be done.”43 Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.44 And in his anguisht he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.]sss45 Whent he got up from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, exhaustedt from grief.

46 Sot he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you will not fall into temptation!”s

Betrayal and Arrest

47 While he was still speaking, suddenly a crowd appeared,t and the man named Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He walked upt to Jesus to kiss him.s48 But Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”s49 Whent those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said, “Lord, shouldt we use our swords?”s50 Thent one of thems struck the high priest’s slave,t cutting off his right ear.51 But Jesus said,t “Enough of this!” And he touched the man’st ear and healeds him.52 Thent Jesus said to the chief priests, the officers of the temple guard,t and the elders who had come out to get him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs like you would against an outlaw?t

53 Day after day when I was with you in the temple courts,t you did not arrest me.t But this is your hour,t and that of the powert of darkness!”

Jesus’ Condemnation and Peter’s Denials

54 Thent they arrestedt Jesus,t led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house.s But Peter was following at a distance.55 When they had made a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat down among them.56 Then a slave girl,t seeing him as he sat in the firelight, stared at him and said, “This man was with him too!”57 But Petert denied it: “Woman,s I don’t knows him!”58 Thent a little later someone elses saw him and said, “You are one of them too.” But Peter said, “Man,t I am not!”59 And after about an hour still another insisted,t “Certainly this man was with him, because he too is a Galilean.”s60 But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” At that moment,t while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.t61 Thent the Lord turned and looked straight at Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the Lord,t how he had said to him, “Before a rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.”

62 And he went outside and wept bitterly.s
63 Nowt the men who were holding Jesust under guard began to mock him and beat him.64 Theyt blindfolded him and asked him repeatedly,t “Prophesy! Who hit you?”ts

65 They also said many other things against him, revilingt him.
66 When day came, the council of the elders of the people gathered together, both the chief priests and the experts in the law.t Thent they led Jesust away to their councils67 and said, “Ift you are the Christ,ts tell us.” But he said to them, “Ift I tell you, you will nott believe,68 and ift I ask you, you will nott answer.69 But from now onsthe Son of Man will be seated at the right hands of the powers of God.”70 Sot they all said, “Are you the Son of God,s then?” He answeredt them, “You says that I am.”

71 Thent they said, “Why do we need further testimony? We have heard it ourselvess from his own lips!”t
