Lukas 24

Jesus står opp fra graven

1 Men på den første dagen i uken, tidlig i dagningen, kom de til graven. De hadde med seg de velluktende urtene som de hadde gjort i stand. s2 Men de fant steinen rullet fra graven. 3 Og da de gikk inn, fant de ikke Herren Jesu legeme. 4 Og det skjedde, mens de sto der i villrede om dette, se, da sto to menn hos dem, kledd i skinnende klær. s5 Kvinnene ble forferdet og bøyde seg med ansiktet mot jorden. Da sa mennene til dem: Hvorfor søker dere den levende blant de døde? 6 Han er ikke her, han er blitt reist opp! Husk hvordan han talte til dere mens han ennå var i Galilea, 7 da han sa: Menneskesønnen må overgis i syndige menneskers hender, bli korsfestet og stå opp på den tredje dagen. s8 Da mintes de hans ord.s9 Og da de kom tilbake fra graven, fortalte de alt dette til de elleve og alle de andre. 10 Det var Maria Magdalena og Johanna og Maria, Jakobs mor, og de andre kvinnene som var med dem, som fortalte dette til apostlene. s11 Og apostlene syntes dette var løst snakk, og de trodde dem ikke. s12 Men Peter sto opp og løp til graven. Da han bøyde seg ned, så han bare linklærne. Han gikk så hjem, og undret seg over det som var skjedd. s

To disipler på vei til Emmaus

13 Og se, to av dem var samme dag på vei til en by som heter Emmaus og ligger seksti stadier fra Jerusalem. 14 Og de talte med hverandre om alt dette som var skjedd. 15 Og det skjedde, mens de samtalte og drøftet dette, kom Jesus selv nær til dem og slo følge med dem. 16 Men øynene deres ble holdt igjen, så de ikke kjente ham. s17 Han sa til dem: Hva er det dere går og samtaler om på veien? De sto da stille og så bedrøvet opp. 18 Den ene av dem, som hette Kleopas, sa til ham: Er du den eneste av dem som oppholder seg i Jerusalem, som ikke vet hva som er skjedd der i disse dagene? 19 Han sa da til dem: Hva da? De sa til ham: Det med Jesus fra Nasaret, en mann som var en profet, mektig i gjerning og ord for Gud og hele folket - s20 og hvordan våre yppersteprester og rådsherrer overga ham til dødsdom og korsfestet ham. 21 Men vi håpet at han var den som skulle forløse Israel. Og nå er det alt tredje dagen siden disse tingene skjedde. s22 Men så har også noen av våre kvinner forferdet oss. Tidlig i dag morges var de ute ved graven, s23 men de fant ikke hans legeme. Så kom de og fortalte at de hadde sett et syn av engler som sa at han lever. 24 Noen av dem som var med oss, gikk da til graven. De fant det slik som kvinnene hadde sagt. Men ham så de ikke. 25 Da sa han til dem: Så uforstandige dere er, og så trege i hjertet til å tro alt det som profetene har talt! 26 Måtte ikke Messias lide dette og så gå inn til sin herlighet? s27 Og han begynte fra Moses og fra alle profetene og forklarte for dem i alle Skriftene det som er skrevet om ham. ss28 Da de nærmet seg landsbyen som de var på vei til, lot han som om han ville gå videre. 29 Men de nødde ham og sa: Bli hos oss, for det lir mot kveld, og dagen heller. Han gikk da inn for å bli hos dem. 30 Og det skjedde da han satt til bords med dem, da tok han brødet, ba velsignelsesbønnen* og brøt det og ga dem. s31 Da ble øynene deres åpnet, og de kjente ham. Så ble han usynlig for dem. 32 Og de sa til hverandre: Brant ikke vårt hjerte i oss da han talte til oss på veien og åpnet Skriftene for oss! 33 Og de tok av sted i samme stund og vendte tilbake til Jerusalem. De fant der de elleve samlet, og de som var med dem. 34 Og disse sa: Herren er virkelig blitt reist opp og er blitt sett av Simon! s35 De to fortalte da hva som hadde hendt på veien, og hvordan de hadde kjent ham igjen da han brøt brødet.

Jesus åpenbarer seg for apostlene og andre disipler

36 Mens de talte om dette, sto han selv midt iblant dem og sa til dem: Fred være med dere! 37 Men de ble forferdet og fylt av frykt, og trodde det var en ånd de så. s38 Han sa til dem: Hvorfor er dere forferdet? Hvorfor stiger tvilende tanker opp i hjertene deres? 39 Se mine hender og mine føtter, at det er meg selv! Rør ved meg og se! For en ånd har ikke kjøtt og ben, slik dere ser at jeg har. s40 Og da han hadde sagt dette, viste han dem sine hender og sine føtter. 41 Men da de ennå ikke trodde for glede, og undret seg, sa han til dem: Har dere noe å spise her? s42 De ga ham da et stykke stekt fisk og noe av en honningkake. 43 Og han tok det og spiste det mens de så på. s44 Så sa han til dem: Dette er mine ord, som jeg talte til dere mens jeg ennå var hos dere, at alt det måtte oppfylles som er skrevet om meg i Mose lov og profetene og salmene. s45 Da åpnet han deres forstand, så de kunne forstå Skriftene. s46 Og han sa til dem: Så står skrevet, at Messias måtte lide og stå opp fra de døde den tredje dagen, ss47 og at i hans navn skal omvendelse og syndenes forlatelse forkynnes for alle folkeslag, fra Jerusalem av. s48 Dere er vitner om dette. s

49 Og se, jeg sender over dere det som min Far har lovt. Men dere skal bli i byen til dere blir ikledd kraft fra det høye. ss

Jesus blir tatt opp til himmelen

50 Han førte dem ut imot Betania, og han løftet sine hender og velsignet dem. s51 Og det skjedde mens han velsignet dem, at han skiltes fra dem og ble tatt opp til himmelen. s52 Og de falt ned og tilba ham og vendte tilbake til Jerusalem med stor glede. s53 Og de var alltid i templet og lovet og priste Gud. s

Luke 24

The Resurrection

1 Now on the first days of the week, at early dawn, the woment went to the tomb, taking the aromatic spicest they had prepared.2 Theyt found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb,s3 but when they went in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.ss4 Whilet they were perplexedt about this, suddenlyt two men stood beside them in dazzlings attire.5 Thet woment were terribly frightenedt and boweds their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the livings among the dead?6 He is not here, but has been raised!st Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,s7 thatt the Son of Man must be deliveredt into the hands of sinful men,t and be crucified,s and on the third day rise again.”t8 Thent the women remembered his words,s9 and when they returned from the tomb they told all these things to the elevens and to all the rest.10 Now it was Mary Magdalene,s Joanna,s Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles.11 But these words seemed like pure nonsenses to them, and they did not believe them.

12 But Peter got up and ran to the tomb.s He bent downs and saw only the strips of linen cloth;t then he went home,t wonderings what had happened.ss

Jesus Walks the Road to Emmaus

13 Nowt that very day two of themt were on their way to a village called Emmaus, about seven milest from Jerusalem.s14 Theyt were talking to each other about all the things that had happened.15 Whilet they were talking and debatingt these things,t Jesus himself approached and began to accompany them16 (but their eyes were kepts from recognizingt him).s17 Thent he said to them, “What are these matterst you are discussing so intentlyt as you walk along?” And they stood still, looking sad.18 Then one of them, named Cleopas, answered him,t “Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who doesn’t knows the things that have happened theret in these days?”19 Het said to them, “What things?” “The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene,” they replied, “a mant who, with his powerful deeds and words, proved to be a prophets before God and all the people;20 and how our chief priests and rulers handed him overs to be condemned to death, and crucifieds him.21 But we had hopedt that he was the one who was going to redeems Israel. Not only this, but it is now the third day since these things happened.22 Furthermore, some women of our group amazed us.s Theyt were at the tomb early this morning,23 and when they did not find his body, they came back and said they had seen a vision of angels,s who said he was alive.24 Thent some of those who were with us went to the tomb, and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see him.”t25 Sot he said to them, “Yout foolish peoplet – how slow of hearts to believet all that the prophets have spoken!26 Wasn’tt it necessarys for the Christts to suffer these things and enter into his glory?”

27 Thent beginning with Moses and all the prophets,s he interpreted to them the things written aboutt himself in all the scriptures.
28 So they approached the village where they were going. He acted as though he wanted to go farther,s

29 but they urged him,t “Stay with us, because it is getting toward evening and the day is almost done.” Sot he went in to stay with them.
30 Whent he had taken his place at the tablet with them, he took the bread, blessed and broke it,t and gave it to them.31 At this pointt their eyes were opened and they recognizeds him.t Thent he vanished out of their sight.32 Theyt said to each other, “Didn’tt our heartst burn within ussss while he was speaking with us on the road, while he was explainingt the scriptures to us?”33 Sot they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem.s Theyt found the eleven and those with them gathered together34 andt saying, “The Lord has really risen, and has appeared to Simon!”s

35 Then they told what had happened on the road,s and how they recognized himt when he broke the bread.

Jesus Makes a Final Appearance

36 While they were saying these things, Jesust himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”s37 But they were startled and terrified, thinkings they saw a ghost.s38 Thent he said to them, “Why are you frightened,t and why do doubtsts arise in your hearts?39 Look at my hands and my feet; it’s me!t Touch me and see; a ghostts does not have flesh and bones like you see I have.”40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.ss41 And while they still could not believe its (because of their joy) and were amazed,s he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”s42 Sot they gave him a piece of broiled fish,

43 and he took it and ate it in front of them.

Jesus’ Final Commission

44 Thent he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about mes in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalmss must be fulfilled.”45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the scriptures,s46 and said to them, “Thus it stands written that the Christt would suffert and would rise from the dead on the third day,47 and repentances for the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimedt in his name to all nations,s beginning from Jerusalem.ss48 You are witnessess of these things.

49 And look, I am sending yout what my Father promised.t But stay in the citys until you have been clothed with powers from on high.”

Jesus’ Departure

50 Thent Jesust led them out as far as Bethany,s and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.51 Nowt during the blessingt he departedt and was taken up into heaven.sts52 Sot they worshipeds him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,s

53 and were continually in the temple courtsts blessings God.s
