Lucas 24

La Resurrección

1 Pero el primer día de la semana, al rayar el alba, las mujeres vinieron al sepulcro trayendo las especias aromáticas que habían preparado.2 Encontraron que la piedra había sido removida del sepulcro,

3 y cuando entraron, no hallaron el cuerpo del Señor Jesús.
4 Aconteció que estando ellas perplejas por esto, de pronto se pusieron junto a ellas dos varones en vestiduras resplandecientes.5 Estando ellas aterrorizadas e inclinados sus rostros a tierra, ellos les dijeron: "¿Por qué buscan entre los muertos al que vive?6 No está aquí, sino que ha resucitado. Acuérdense cómo les habló cuando estaba aún en Galilea,

7 diciendo que el Hijo del Hombre debía ser entregado en manos de hombres pecadores, y ser crucificado, y al tercer día resucitar."
8 Entonces ellas se acordaron de Sus palabras,9 y regresando del sepulcro, anunciaron todas estas cosas a los once apóstoles y a todos los demás.10 Eran María Magdalena y Juana y María, la madre de Jacobo (Santiago). También las demás mujeres con ellas decían estas cosas a los apóstoles.11 A ellos estas palabras les parecieron como disparates, y no las creyeron.

12 Pero Pedro se levantó y corrió al sepulcro. Inclinándose para mirar adentro, vio sólo las envolturas de lino, y se fue a su casa maravillado de lo que había acontecido.

Jesús se Manifiesta a Dos Discípulos

13 Aquel mismo día dos de los discípulos iban a una aldea llamada Emaús, que estaba como a once kilómetros de Jerusalén.14 Conversaban entre sí acerca de todas estas cosas que habían acontecido.15 Y mientras conversaban y discutían, Jesús mismo se acercó y caminaba con ellos.

16 Pero sus ojos estaban velados para que no Lo reconocieran.
17 Y El les dijo: "¿Qué discusiones (palabras) son estas que tienen entre ustedes mientras van andando?" Y ellos se detuvieron, con semblante triste.18 Uno de ellos, llamado Cleofas, Le dijo: "¿Eres Tú el único visitante en Jerusalén que no sabe las cosas que en ella han acontecido en estos días?"19 "¿Qué cosas?" les preguntó Jesús. Y ellos Le dijeron: "Las referentes a Jesús el Nazareno, que fue un profeta poderoso en obra y en palabra delante de Dios y de todo el pueblo;20 y cómo los principales sacerdotes y nuestros gobernantes Lo entregaron a sentencia de muerte y Lo crucificaron.21 Pero nosotros esperábamos que El era el que iba a redimir a Israel. Además de todo esto, éste es el tercer día desde que estas cosas acontecieron.22 Y también algunas mujeres de entre nosotros nos asombraron; pues cuando fueron de madrugada al sepulcro,23 y al no hallar Su cuerpo, vinieron diciendo que también habían visto una aparición de ángeles que decían que El vivía.

24 Algunos de los que estaban con nosotros fueron al sepulcro, y lo hallaron tal como también las mujeres habían dicho; pero a El no lo vieron."
25 Entonces Jesús les dijo: "¡Oh insensatos y tardos de corazón para creer todo lo que los profetas han dicho!

26 ¿No era necesario que el Cristo (el Mesías) padeciera todas estas cosas y entrara en Su gloria?"
27 Comenzando por Moisés y continuando con todos los profetas, les explicó lo referente a El en todas las Escrituras.28 Se acercaron a la aldea adonde iban, y El hizo como que iba más lejos.29 Y ellos Le insistieron, diciendo: "Quédate con nosotros, porque está atardeciendo, y el día ya ha declinado." Y entró a quedarse con ellos.30 Al sentarse a la mesa con ellos, Jesús tomó pan, y lo bendijo; y partiéndo lo, les dio.31 Entonces les fueron abiertos los ojos y Lo reconocieron; pero El desapareció de la presencia de ellos.

32 Y se dijeron el uno al otro: "¿No ardía nuestro corazón dentro de nosotros mientras nos hablaba en el camino, cuando nos abría las Escrituras?"
33 Levantándose en esa misma hora, regresaron a Jerusalén, y hallaron reunidos a los once apóstoles y a los que estaban con ellos,

34 que decían: "Es verdad que el Señor ha resucitado y se ha aparecido a Simón."

35 Y ellos contaban sus experiencias en el camino, y cómo Lo habían reconocido al partir el pan.

Jesús se Aparece a los Discípulos

36 Mientras ellos relataban estas cosas, Jesús se puso en medio de ellos, y les dijo: "Paz a ustedes."
37 Pero ellos, aterrorizados y asustados, pensaron que veían un espíritu.38 Y El les dijo: "¿Por qué están turbados, y por qué surgen dudas en sus corazones?

39 Miren Mis manos y Mis pies, que Yo mismo soy; tóquenme y vean, porque un espíritu no tiene carne ni huesos como ustedes ven que Yo tengo."
40 Cuando dijo esto, les mostró las manos y los pies.

41 Como ellos todavía no lo creían a causa de la alegría y porque estaban asombrados, les dijo: "¿Tienen aquí algo de comer?"
42 Ellos Le presentaron parte de un pescado asado,

43 y El lo tomó en las manos y comió delante de ellos.

La Gran Comisión

44 Después Jesús les dijo: "Esto es lo que Yo les decía cuando todavía estaba con ustedes: que era necesario que se cumpliera todo lo que sobre Mí está escrito en la Ley de Moisés, en los Profetas y en los Salmos."
45 Entonces les abrió la mente para que comprendieran las Escrituras,46 y les dijo: "Así está escrito, que el Cristo (el Mesías) padecerá y resucitará de entre los muertos al tercer día;47 y que en Su nombre se predicará el arrepentimiento para el perdón de los pecados a todas las naciones, comenzando desde Jerusalén.48 Ustedes son testigos de estas cosas.

49 Por tanto, Yo enviaré sobre ustedes la promesa de Mi Padre; pero ustedes, permanezcan en la ciudad hasta que sean investidos con poder de lo alto."

Jesús se Despide de Sus Discípulos

50 Entonces Jesús los condujo fuera de la ciudad, hasta cerca de Betania, y alzando Sus manos, los bendijo.51 Y aconteció que mientras los bendecía, se separó de ellos y fue llevado arriba al cielo.52 Ellos, después de adorar a Jesús, regresaron a Jerusalén con gran gozo,53 y estaban siempre en el templo alabando a Dios.

Luke 24

The Resurrection

1 Now on the first days of the week, at early dawn, the woment went to the tomb, taking the aromatic spicest they had prepared.2 Theyt found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb,s3 but when they went in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.ss4 Whilet they were perplexedt about this, suddenlyt two men stood beside them in dazzlings attire.5 Thet woment were terribly frightenedt and boweds their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the livings among the dead?6 He is not here, but has been raised!st Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,s7 thatt the Son of Man must be deliveredt into the hands of sinful men,t and be crucified,s and on the third day rise again.”t8 Thent the women remembered his words,s9 and when they returned from the tomb they told all these things to the elevens and to all the rest.10 Now it was Mary Magdalene,s Joanna,s Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles.11 But these words seemed like pure nonsenses to them, and they did not believe them.

12 But Peter got up and ran to the tomb.s He bent downs and saw only the strips of linen cloth;t then he went home,t wonderings what had happened.ss

Jesus Walks the Road to Emmaus

13 Nowt that very day two of themt were on their way to a village called Emmaus, about seven milest from Jerusalem.s14 Theyt were talking to each other about all the things that had happened.15 Whilet they were talking and debatingt these things,t Jesus himself approached and began to accompany them16 (but their eyes were kepts from recognizingt him).s17 Thent he said to them, “What are these matterst you are discussing so intentlyt as you walk along?” And they stood still, looking sad.18 Then one of them, named Cleopas, answered him,t “Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who doesn’t knows the things that have happened theret in these days?”19 Het said to them, “What things?” “The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene,” they replied, “a mant who, with his powerful deeds and words, proved to be a prophets before God and all the people;20 and how our chief priests and rulers handed him overs to be condemned to death, and crucifieds him.21 But we had hopedt that he was the one who was going to redeems Israel. Not only this, but it is now the third day since these things happened.22 Furthermore, some women of our group amazed us.s Theyt were at the tomb early this morning,23 and when they did not find his body, they came back and said they had seen a vision of angels,s who said he was alive.24 Thent some of those who were with us went to the tomb, and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see him.”t25 Sot he said to them, “Yout foolish peoplet – how slow of hearts to believet all that the prophets have spoken!26 Wasn’tt it necessarys for the Christts to suffer these things and enter into his glory?”

27 Thent beginning with Moses and all the prophets,s he interpreted to them the things written aboutt himself in all the scriptures.
28 So they approached the village where they were going. He acted as though he wanted to go farther,s

29 but they urged him,t “Stay with us, because it is getting toward evening and the day is almost done.” Sot he went in to stay with them.
30 Whent he had taken his place at the tablet with them, he took the bread, blessed and broke it,t and gave it to them.31 At this pointt their eyes were opened and they recognizeds him.t Thent he vanished out of their sight.32 Theyt said to each other, “Didn’tt our heartst burn within ussss while he was speaking with us on the road, while he was explainingt the scriptures to us?”33 Sot they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem.s Theyt found the eleven and those with them gathered together34 andt saying, “The Lord has really risen, and has appeared to Simon!”s

35 Then they told what had happened on the road,s and how they recognized himt when he broke the bread.

Jesus Makes a Final Appearance

36 While they were saying these things, Jesust himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”s37 But they were startled and terrified, thinkings they saw a ghost.s38 Thent he said to them, “Why are you frightened,t and why do doubtsts arise in your hearts?39 Look at my hands and my feet; it’s me!t Touch me and see; a ghostts does not have flesh and bones like you see I have.”40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.ss41 And while they still could not believe its (because of their joy) and were amazed,s he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”s42 Sot they gave him a piece of broiled fish,

43 and he took it and ate it in front of them.

Jesus’ Final Commission

44 Thent he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about mes in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalmss must be fulfilled.”45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the scriptures,s46 and said to them, “Thus it stands written that the Christt would suffert and would rise from the dead on the third day,47 and repentances for the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimedt in his name to all nations,s beginning from Jerusalem.ss48 You are witnessess of these things.

49 And look, I am sending yout what my Father promised.t But stay in the citys until you have been clothed with powers from on high.”

Jesus’ Departure

50 Thent Jesust led them out as far as Bethany,s and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.51 Nowt during the blessingt he departedt and was taken up into heaven.sts52 Sot they worshipeds him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,s

53 and were continually in the temple courtsts blessings God.s
