Luca 6

Isus, Domn al Sabatului

1 Într-o zi de Sabat, Isus trecea printre lanurile de grâu. Ucenicii Lui smulgeau spice, le frecau cu mâinile și mâncau boabele .

2 Unii dintre farisei le-au zis:
– De ce faceți ce nu este voie în ziua de Sabat?

3 Isus le-a răspuns:
– N-ați citit ce a făcut Davidt atunci când i s-a făcut foame, atât lui cât și celor ce erau cu el?4 Cum a intrat în Casa lui Dumnezeu și a luat și a mâncat pâinile prezentării, pe care nu este voie să le mănânce decât preoții, și cum a dat și celor ce erau cu el?

5 Apoi le-a zis:
– Fiul Omului este Domn și al Sabatului!

6 Într-o altă zi de Sabat, a intrat în sinagogă și a început să dea învățătură. Acolo se afla un om a cărui mână dreaptă era uscată.7 Cărturarii și fariseii Îl urmăreau să vadă dacă vindecă în ziua de Sabat, ca să găsească astfel o acuzație împotriva Lui.8 El însă le știa gândurile, așa că i-a zis omului care avea mâna uscată: „Ridică-te și stai în mijloc!“ El s-a ridicat și a stat acolo .

9 Apoi Isus le-a zis lor: „Vă întreb: este voie în ziua de Sabat să faci bine sau să faci rău, să salvezi o viață sau s-o distrugi?“10 Și-a rotit privirea peste toți și apoi i-a zis omului: „Întinde-ți mâna!“ El a făcut întocmai și mâna lui a fost vindecată.11 Atunci ei s-au umplut de mâniet și au început să discute unii cu alții despre ce I-ar putea face lui Isus.

Alegerea celor doisprezece apostoli

12 Într-una din zilele acelea, Isus S-a dus pe munte să se roage și a petrecut toată noaptea în rugăciune către Dumnezeu.13 Când s-a făcut zi, i-a chemat pe ucenicii Săi și a ales doisprezece dintre ei, pe care i-a numit apostolit.14  Aceștia sunt: Simon, pe care l-a numit Petru, și Andrei, fratele lui; Iacov; Ioan; Filip; Bartolomeut;15 Matei; Toma; Iacov, fiul lui Alfeu; Simon, numit Zelotult;16 Iudat, fiul lui Iacov; și Iuda Iscarioteanul, cel care a ajuns trădător.

Fericiri și vaiuri

17 A coborât cu ei și S-a oprit pe un loc neted, împreună cu o mare mulțime de ucenici de-ai Săi și cu o mare mulțime de oameni din toată Iudeea, din Ierusalim și din regiunea de coastă a Tirului și a Sidonului,18 care veniseră să-L asculte și să fie vindecați de bolile lor. Cei chinuiți de duhuri necurate erau vindecați19 și toată mulțimea încerca să-L atingă, pentru că din El ieșea o putere care-i vindeca pe toți.

20 Isus Și-a ridicat privirea spre ucenicii Lui și le-a zis:
„Ferice de voi, cei săraci,
căci a voastră este Împărăția lui Dumnezeu!

21 Ferice de voi, care acum sunteți flămânzi,
căci voi veți fi săturați!
Ferice de voi, care acum plângeți,
căci voi veți râde!

22 Ferice de voi când oamenii vă urăsc, vă exclud dintre ei, vă insultă și resping numele vostru ca pe ceva rău, din pricina Fiului Omului!23 Bucurați-vă în ziua aceea și săltați de veselie, pentru că iată, răsplata voastră este mare în cer! Căci tot așa făceau și strămoșii voștri cu profeții!

24 Dar vai de voi, cei bogați,
căci voi v-ați primit mângâierea!

25 Vai de voi, cei care acum sunteți sătui,
căci voi veți flămânzi!
Vai de voi, cei care râdeți acum,
căci voi veți jeli și veți plânge!

26 Vai de voi, când toți oamenii vă vor vorbi de bine,
căci tot așa au făcut și strămoșii voștri cu falșii profeți!

Iubirea dușmanilor

27 Eu însă vă spun, vouă, celor ce ascultați: iubiți-vă dușmanii, faceți-le bine celor ce vă urăsc,28 binecuvântați-i pe cei ce vă blestemă și rugați-vă pentru cei ce se poartă urât cu voi!29 Celui ce te lovește peste un obraz, întoarce-i-l și pe celălalt! Pe cel ce-ți ia haina, nu-l împiedica să-ți ia și tunicat!30 Oricui îți cere, dă-i, iar de la cel ce-ți ia din bunurile tale, nu le mai cere înapoi!31 Așa cum ați dori să vă facă vouă oamenii, faceți-le și voi la fel!

32 Dacă-i iubiți doar pe cei ce vă iubesc, ce răsplată vi se cuvine? Căci și păcătoșiit îi iubesc pe cei care-i iubesc pe ei!33 Și dacă le faceți bine doar celor ce vă fac bine, ce răsplată vi se cuvine? Și păcătoșii fac la fel!34 Iar dacă-i împrumutați doar pe cei de la care sperați să primiți înapoi, ce răsplată vi se cuvine? Și păcătoșii îi împrumută pe păcătoși ca să primească înapoi la fel!35 Voi însă iubiți-vă dușmanii, faceți bine și împrumutați fără să mai așteptați nimic în schimb! Astfel răsplata voastră va fi mare și veți fi fii ai Celui Preaînalt, căci El este bun și cu cei nerecunoscători și răi!36 Fiți milostivi, tot așa cum și Tatăl vostru este milostiv!

Paiul și bârna

37 Nu judecați și nu veți fi judecați! Nu condamnați și nu veți fi condamnați! Iertați și veți fi iertați!38 Dați și vi se va da! O măsură plină, îndesată, clătinată și care se revarsă, va fi pusă în poala voastră. Căci cu ce măsură măsurați, vi se va măsura.“

39 Le-a spus apoi și o pildă:
„Oare poate un orb să călăuzească un alt orb? Nu vor cădea amândoi în groapă?40 Un ucenic nu este mai presus de învățătorul său, dar orice ucenic pregătit va fi ca învățătorul lui.41 De ce vezi tu paiul din ochiul fratelui tău și nu observi bârna din ochiul tău?42 Sau cum poți să-i spui fratelui tău: «Frate, lasă-mă să-ți scot paiul din ochi!», fără să vezi însă bârna din ochiul tău? Ipocritule! Scoate mai întâi bârna din ochiul tău, și atunci vei vedea clar să scoți paiul din ochiul fratelui tău!

Să recunoști „pomul“ după „roade“

43 Nu este nici un pom bun care să facă roade stricate și nici un pom stricat care să facă roade bune.44 Căci fiecare pom se recunoaște după propriile lui roade. Din mărăcini, oamenii nu culeg smochine și din ciulini, ei nu culeg struguri!45 Omul bun scoate ce este bun din vistieria bună a inimii lui, dar cel rău scoate ce este rău din inima lui cea rea. Căci din belșugul inimii vorbește gura!

Casa zidită pe stâncă

46 De ce-Mi ziceți: «Doamne, Doamne!» și nu faceți ce spun Eu?47 Vă voi arăta cu cine se aseamănă orice om care vine la Mine, aude cuvintele Mele și le împlinește:48 este asemenea unui om care, atunci când a construit o casă, a săpat adânc și i-a pus temelia pe stâncă. Când a venit șuvoiul de apă, torentul a izbit în casa aceea și n-a putut s-o clatine, pentru că fusese construită binet.49 Însă cel ce aude și nu împlinește, este asemenea unui om care a construit o casă direct pe pământ, fără temelie. Când torentul a izbit în ea, casa s-a prăbușit imediat și distrugerea acelei case a fost groaznică.“

LUKE 6

A Question about the Sabbath

(Matthew 12.1-8; Mark 2.23-28)

1  t One Sabbath when Jesus and his disciples were walking through some wheat fields, t the disciples picked some wheat. They rubbed the husks off with their hands and started eating the grain.

2 Some Pharisees said, “Why are you picking grain on the Sabbath? You're not supposed to do that!”
3  t Jesus answered, “You surely have read what David did when he and his followers were hungry.

4 t He went into the house of God and took the sacred loaves of bread that only priests were supposed to eat. He not only ate some himself, but even gave some to his followers.”

5 Jesus finished by saying, “The Son of Man is Lord over the Sabbath.”

A Man with a Paralyzed Hand

(Matthew 12.9-14; Mark 3.1-6)

7 Some Pharisees and teachers of the Law of Moses kept watching Jesus to see if he would heal the man. They did this because they wanted to accuse Jesus of doing something wrong.
8 Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he told the man to stand up where everyone could see him. And the man stood up.

9 Then Jesus asked, “On the Sabbath should we do good deeds or evil deeds? Should we save someone's life or destroy it?”

10 After he had looked around at everyone, he told the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did, and his bad hand became completely well.

11 The teachers and the Pharisees were furious and started saying to one another, “What can we do about Jesus?”

Blessings and Troubles

(Matthew 5.1-12)

20 Jesus looked at his disciples and said:
God will bless you people
who are poor.
His kingdom belongs to you!

21 God will bless
you hungry people.
You will have plenty
to eat!
God will bless you people
who are now crying.
You will laugh!
22  t God will bless you when others hate you and won't have anything to do with you. God will bless you when people insult you and say cruel things about you, all because you are a follower of the Son of Man.

23 t Long ago your own people did these same things to the prophets. So when this happens to you, be happy and jump for joy! You will have a great reward in heaven.

24 But you rich people
are in for trouble.
You have already had
an easy life!

25 You well-fed people
are in for trouble.
You will go hungry!
You people
who are laughing now
are in for trouble.
You are going to cry
and weep!

26 You are in for trouble when everyone says good things about you. That is what your own people said about those prophets who told lies.

Love for Enemies

(Matthew 5.38-48; 7.12a)

27 This is what I say to all who will listen to me:
Love your enemies, and be good to everyone who hates you. 28 Ask God to bless anyone who curses you, and pray for everyone who is cruel to you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, don't stop that person from slapping you on the other cheek. If someone wants to take your coat, don't try to keep back your shirt. 30 Give to everyone who asks and don't ask people to return what they have taken from you.

31 t Treat others just as you want to be treated.
32 If you love only someone who loves you, will God praise you for that? Even sinners love people who love them. 33 If you are kind only to someone who is kind to you, will God be pleased with you for that? Even sinners are kind to people who are kind to them.

34 If you lend money only to someone you think will pay you back, will God be pleased with you for that? Even sinners lend to sinners because they think they will get it all back.
35  t But love your enemies and be good to them. Lend without expecting to be paid back.t Then you will get a great reward, and you will be the true children of God in heaven. He is good even to people who are unthankful and cruel.

36 Have pity on others, just as your Father has pity on you.

Judging Others

(Matthew 7.1-5)

37 Jesus said:
Don't judge others, and God won't judge you. Don't be hard on others, and God won't be hard on you. Forgive others, and God will forgive you.

38 If you give to others, you will be given a full amount in return. It will be packed down, shaken together, and spilling over into your lap. The way you treat others is the way you will be treated.

39  t Jesus also used some sayings as he spoke to the people. He said:
Can one blind person lead another blind person? Won't they both fall into a ditch?

40 t Are students better than their teacher? But when they are fully trained, they will be like their teacher.
41 You can see the speck in your friend's eye, but you don't notice the log in your own eye.

42 How can you say, “My friend, let me take the speck out of your eye,” when you don't see the log in your own eye? You show-offs! First, get the log out of your own eye; then you can see how to take the speck out of your friend's eye.

A Tree and Its Fruit

45 t Good people do good things because of the good in their hearts, but bad people do bad things because of the evil in their hearts. Your words show what is in your heart.
