SAN LUCAS 6
Los discípulos recogen espigas en el día de reposo
(Mt. 12.1-8; Mr. 2.23-28)
1 Aconteció en un día de reposo,t que pasando Jesús por los sembrados, sus discípulos arrancaban espigas y comían,t restregándolas con las manos. 2 Y algunos de los fariseos les dijeron: ¿Por qué hacéis lo que no es lícito hacer en los días de reposo?t 3 Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: ¿Ni aun esto habéis leído, lo que hizo David cuando tuvo hambre él, y los que con él estaban; 4 cómo entró en la casa de Dios, y tomó los panes de la proposición, de los cuales no es lícito comer sino sólo a los sacerdotes,t y comió, y dio también a los que estaban con él?t
5 Y les decía: El Hijo del Hombre es Señor aun del día de reposo.tEl hombre de la mano seca

6 Aconteció también en otro día de reposo,t que él entró en la sinagoga y enseñaba; y estaba allí un hombre que tenía seca la mano derecha. 7 Y le acechaban los escribas y los fariseos, para ver si en el día de reposot lo sanaría, a fin de hallar de qué acusarle. 8 Mas él conocía los pensamientos de ellos; y dijo al hombre que tenía la mano seca: Levántate, y ponte en medio. Y él, levantándose, se puso en pie. 9 Entonces Jesús les dijo: Os preguntaré una cosa: ¿Es lícito en día de reposot hacer bien, o hacer mal? ¿salvar la vida, o quitarla? 10 Y mirándolos a todos alrededor, dijo al hombre: Extiende tu mano. Y él lo hizo así, y su mano fue restaurada.
11 Y ellos se llenaron de furor, y hablaban entre sí qué podrían hacer contra Jesús.Elección de los doce apóstoles

17 Y descendió con ellos, y se detuvo en un lugar llano, en compañía de sus discípulos y de una gran multitud de gente de toda Judea, de Jerusalén y de la costa de Tiro y de Sidón, que había venido para oírle, y para ser sanados de sus enfermedades; 18 y los que habían sido atormentados de espíritus inmundos eran sanados.
19 Y toda la gente procuraba tocarle, porque poder salía de él y sanaba a todos.Bienaventuranzas y ayes

20 Y alzando los ojos hacia sus discípulos, decía: Bienaventurados vosotros los pobres, porque vuestro es el reino de Dios.
21 Bienaventurados los que ahora tenéis hambre, porque seréis saciados. Bienaventurados los que ahora lloráis, porque reiréis.
22 Bienaventurados seréis cuando los hombres os aborrezcan, y cuando os aparten de sí, y os vituperen, y desechen vuestro nombre como malo, por causa del Hijo del Hombre.t
23 Gozaos en aquel día, y alegraos, porque he aquí vuestro galardón es grande en los cielos; porque así hacían sus padres con los profetas.t
24 Mas ¡ay de vosotros, ricos! porque ya tenéis vuestro consuelo.
25 ¡Ay de vosotros, los que ahora estáis saciados! porque tendréis hambre. ¡Ay de vosotros, los que ahora reís! porque lamentaréis y lloraréis.
26 ¡Ay de vosotros, cuando todos los hombres hablen bien de vosotros! porque así hacían sus padres con los falsos profetas.El amor hacia los enemigos, y la regla de oro

27 Pero a vosotros los que oís, os digo: Amad a vuestros enemigos, haced bien a los que os aborrecen; 28 bendecid a los que os maldicen, y orad por los que os calumnian. 29 Al que te hiera en una mejilla, preséntale también la otra; y al que te quite la capa, ni aun la túnica le niegues. 30 A cualquiera que te pida, dale; y al que tome lo que es tuyo, no pidas que te lo devuelva.
31 Y como queréis que hagan los hombres con vosotros, así también haced vosotros con ellos.
32 Porque si amáis a los que os aman, ¿qué mérito tenéis? Porque también los pecadores aman a los que los aman. 33 Y si hacéis bien a los que os hacen bien, ¿qué mérito tenéis? Porque también los pecadores hacen lo mismo. 34 Y si prestáis a aquellos de quienes esperáis recibir, ¿qué mérito tenéis? Porque también los pecadores prestan a los pecadores, para recibir otro tanto. 35 Amad, pues, a vuestros enemigos, y haced bien, y prestad, no esperando de ello nada; y será vuestro galardón grande, y seréis hijos del Altísimo; porque él es benigno para con los ingratos y malos.
36 Sed, pues, misericordiosos, como también vuestro Padre es misericordioso.El juzgar a los demás

37 No juzguéis, y no seréis juzgados; no condenéis, y no seréis condenados; perdonad, y seréis perdonados.
38 Dad, y se os dará; medida buena, apretada, remecida y rebosando darán en vuestro regazo; porque con la misma medida con que medís, os volverán a medir.
39 Y les decía una parábola: ¿Acaso puede un ciego guiar a otro ciego? ¿No caerán ambos en el hoyo?t 40 El discípulo no es superior a su maestro;t mas todo el que fuere perfeccionado, será como su maestro. 41 ¿Por qué miras la paja que está en el ojo de tu hermano, y no echas de ver la viga que está en tu propio ojo?
42 ¿O cómo puedes decir a tu hermano: Hermano, déjame sacar la paja que está en tu ojo, no mirando tú la viga que está en el ojo tuyo? Hipócrita, saca primero la viga de tu propio ojo, y entonces verás bien para sacar la paja que está en el ojo de tu hermano.Por sus frutos los conoceréis

43 No es buen árbol el que da malos frutos, ni árbol malo el que da buen fruto. 44 Porque cada árbol se conoce por su fruto;t pues no se cosechan higos de los espinos, ni de las zarzas se vendimian uvas.
45 El hombre bueno, del buen tesoro de su corazón saca lo bueno; y el hombre malo, del mal tesoro de su corazón saca lo malo; porque de la abundancia del corazón habla la boca.tLos dos cimientos

46 ¿Por qué me llamáis, Señor, Señor, y no hacéis lo que yo digo? 47 Todo aquel que viene a mí, y oye mis palabras y las hace, os indicaré a quién es semejante. 48 Semejante es al hombre que al edificar una casa, cavó y ahondó y puso el fundamento sobre la roca; y cuando vino una inundación, el río dio con ímpetu contra aquella casa, pero no la pudo mover, porque estaba fundada sobre la roca. 49 Mas el que oyó y no hizo, semejante es al hombre que edificó su casa sobre tierra, sin fundamento; contra la cual el río dio con ímpetu, y luego cayó, y fue grande la ruina de aquella casa.

A Question about the Sabbath
(Matthew 12.1-8; Mark 2.23-28)
1 t One Sabbath when Jesus and his disciples were walking through some wheat fields, t the disciples picked some wheat. They rubbed the husks off with their hands and started eating the grain.
2 Some Pharisees said, “Why are you picking grain on the Sabbath? You're not supposed to do that!”
3 t Jesus answered, “You surely have read what David did when he and his followers were hungry.
4 t He went into the house of God and took the sacred loaves of bread that only priests were supposed to eat. He not only ate some himself, but even gave some to his followers.”
5 Jesus finished by saying, “The Son of Man is Lord over the Sabbath.”A Man with a Paralyzed Hand
(Matthew 12.9-14; Mark 3.1-6)
6 On another Sabbatht Jesus was teaching in a synagogue, and a man with a paralyzed right hand was there.
7 Some Pharisees and teachers of the Law of Moses kept watching Jesus to see if he would heal the man. They did this because they wanted to accuse Jesus of doing something wrong.
8 Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he told the man to stand up where everyone could see him. And the man stood up.
9 Then Jesus asked, “On the Sabbath should we do good deeds or evil deeds? Should we save someone's life or destroy it?”
10 After he had looked around at everyone, he told the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did, and his bad hand became completely well.
11 The teachers and the Pharisees were furious and started saying to one another, “What can we do about Jesus?”Jesus Chooses His Twelve Apostles

12 About that time Jesus went off to a mountain to pray, and he spent the whole night there. 13 The next morning he called his disciples together and chose twelve of them to be his apostles. 14 One was Simon, and Jesus named him Peter. (Matthew 4.23-25)
17 Jesus and his apostles went down from the mountain and came to some flat, level ground. Many other disciples were there to meet him. Large crowds of people from all over Judea, Jerusalem, and the coastal towns of Tyre and Sidon were there too. 18 These people had come to listen to Jesus and to be healed of their diseases. All who were troubled by evil spirits were also healed.
19 Everyone was trying to touch Jesus, because power was going out from him and healing them all.Blessings and Troubles
(Matthew 5.1-12)
20 Jesus looked at his disciples and said:
God will bless you people
who are poor.
His kingdom belongs to you!
21 God will bless
you hungry people.
You will have plenty
to eat!
God will bless you people
who are now crying.
You will laugh!
22 t God will bless you when others hate you and won't have anything to do with you. God will bless you when people insult you and say cruel things about you, all because you are a follower of the Son of Man.
23 t Long ago your own people did these same things to the prophets. So when this happens to you, be happy and jump for joy! You will have a great reward in heaven.
24 But you rich people
are in for trouble.
You have already had
an easy life!
25 You well-fed people
are in for trouble.
You will go hungry!
You people
who are laughing now
are in for trouble.
You are going to cry
and weep!
26 You are in for trouble when everyone says good things about you. That is what your own people said about those prophets who told lies.Love for Enemies
(Matthew 5.38-48; 7.12a)
27 This is what I say to all who will listen to me:
Love your enemies, and be good to everyone who hates you. 28 Ask God to bless anyone who curses you, and pray for everyone who is cruel to you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, don't stop that person from slapping you on the other cheek. If someone wants to take your coat, don't try to keep back your shirt. 30 Give to everyone who asks and don't ask people to return what they have taken from you.
31 t Treat others just as you want to be treated.
32 If you love only someone who loves you, will God praise you for that? Even sinners love people who love them. 33 If you are kind only to someone who is kind to you, will God be pleased with you for that? Even sinners are kind to people who are kind to them.
34 If you lend money only to someone you think will pay you back, will God be pleased with you for that? Even sinners lend to sinners because they think they will get it all back.
35 t But love your enemies and be good to them. Lend without expecting to be paid back.t Then you will get a great reward, and you will be the true children of God in heaven. He is good even to people who are unthankful and cruel.
36 Have pity on others, just as your Father has pity on you.Judging Others
(Matthew 7.1-5)
37 Jesus said:
Don't judge others, and God won't judge you. Don't be hard on others, and God won't be hard on you. Forgive others, and God will forgive you.
38 If you give to others, you will be given a full amount in return. It will be packed down, shaken together, and spilling over into your lap. The way you treat others is the way you will be treated.
39 t Jesus also used some sayings as he spoke to the people. He said:
Can one blind person lead another blind person? Won't they both fall into a ditch?
40 t Are students better than their teacher? But when they are fully trained, they will be like their teacher.
41 You can see the speck in your friend's eye, but you don't notice the log in your own eye.
42 How can you say, “My friend, let me take the speck out of your eye,” when you don't see the log in your own eye? You show-offs! First, get the log out of your own eye; then you can see how to take the speck out of your friend's eye.A Tree and Its Fruit
(Matthew 7.17-20; 12.34b,35)
43 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. 44 t You can tell what a tree is like by the fruit it produces. You cannot pick figs or grapes from thornbushes.
45 t Good people do good things because of the good in their hearts, but bad people do bad things because of the evil in their hearts. Your words show what is in your heart.Two Builders
(Matthew 7.24-27)
46 Why do you keep on saying that I am your Lord, when you refuse to do what I say? 47 Anyone who comes and listens to me and obeys me 48 is like someone who dug down deep and built a house on solid rock. When a flood came and the river rushed against the house, it was built so well that it didn't even shake. 49 But anyone who hears what I say and doesn't obey me is like someone whose house wasn't built on solid rock. As soon as the river rushed against that house, it was smashed to pieces!
