3 เมื่อ_เขา_ได้_ยิน_เรื่อง_ของ_พระ_เยซู เขา_ก็_ส่ง_พวก_ผู้นำ_อาวุโส_ชาว_ยิว_ไป_ขอ_ร้อง_พระองค์ ให้_มา_ช่วย_รักษา_ทาส_ของ_เขา

4 เมื่อ_พวก_ผู้นำ_อาวุโส_มา_พบ_พระ_เยซู_แล้ว ก็_ขอ_ร้อง_อ้อน_วอน_พระองค์_ว่า “อาจารย์ ช่วย_นาย_ร้อย_คน_นี้_ด้วย_เถิด เขา_เป็น_คนดี_มาก

5 เขา_รัก_คน_ของ_เรา_และ_สร้าง_ที่ประชุม ให้_กับ_พวก_เรา_ด้วย”

6 พระ_เยซู_จึง_ไป_กับ_พวก_เขา และ_เมื่อ_ใกล้_จะ_ถึง_บ้าน_เขา นาย_ร้อย_ก็_ส่ง_พวก_เพื่อน_ให้_มา_บอก_กับ_พระ_เยซู_ว่า “อาจารย์_ครับ อย่า_ต้อง_ลำบาก_เลย_ครับ เพราะ_ผม_ไม่_ดี_พอ_ที่_จะ_ให้_ท่าน_เข้า_ไป_ใน_บ้าน_ของ_ผม

7 ตัว_ผม_เอง_จึง_ไม่_กล้า_ที่_จะ_มา_พบ_อาจารย์ ขอ_แค่_อาจารย์_สั่ง_เท่า_นั้น ทาส_ของ_ผม_ก็_จะ_หาย_ดี

8 ที่_ผม_รู้_ก็_เพราะ_ผม_เป็น_ทหาร มี_ทั้ง_หัวหน้า_ที่_สั่ง_ผม และ_มี_ลูกน้อง_ที่_ต้อง_เชื่อ_ฟัง_คำ_สั่ง_ผม_ด้วย เมื่อ_ผม_สั่ง_ให้ ‘ไป’ เขา_ก็_ไป สั่ง_ให้ ‘มา’ เขา_ก็_มา แล้ว_ถ้า_สั่ง_ให้_ทาส_ของ_ผม ‘ทำ_สิ่ง_นั้น_สิ่ง_นี้’ เขา_ก็_ทำ”

9 เมื่อ_พระ_เยซู_ได้_ยิน_แบบ_นั้น พระองค์_ก็_แปลกใจ_มาก จึง_หัน_ไป_พูด_กับ_ชาว_บ้าน_ที่_ติด_ตาม_พระองค์_มา_ว่า “เรา_จะ_บอก_ให้_รู้_ว่า ยัง_ไม่_เคย_พบ_ใคร_ที่_มี_ความ_เชื่อ_ยิ่ง_ใหญ่_ขนาด_นี้_มา_ก่อน_เลย_แม้_แต่_ใน_อิสราเอล_เอง_ก็_ตาม”

10 เมื่อ_พวก_เพื่อนๆ_ของ_นาย_ร้อย_กลับ_ไป_ถึง_บ้าน ก็_พบ_ว่า_ทาส_คน_นั้น_หาย_ดี_แล้ว

พระ_เยซู_ทำ_ให้_ชายหนุ่ม_คืน_ชีพ

11 ต่อมา_พระ_เยซู_พร้อม_กับ_พวก_ศิษย์_ไป_เมือง_นาอิน และ_มี_ชาว_บ้าน_มาก_มาย_ติด_ตาม_ไป

12 เมื่อ_พระองค์_เดิน_มา_ใกล้_ประตู_เมือง ก็_สวน_กับ_ขบวน_แห่_ศพ_ของ_คนๆ_หนึ่ง เขา_เป็น_ลูกชาย_เพียง_คน_เดียว_ของ_หญิงม่าย_คน_หนึ่ง มี_ชาว_บ้าน_เป็น_จำนวน_มาก_เดิน_มา_กับ_ขบวน_พร้อม_กับ_หญิงม่าย_คน_นั้น

13 เมื่อ_พระ_เยซู_เห็น_นาง ก็_รู้สึก_สงสาร และ_พูด_ว่า “อย่า_ร้องไห้_เลย”

14 แล้ว_พระองค์_เดิน_เข้า_ไป_แตะ_โลง_ศพ พวก_คน_ที่_หาม_โลง_ก็_หยุด แล้ว_พระองค์_พูด_ว่า “พ่อ_หนุ่ม เรา_สั่ง_ให้_ลุก_ขึ้น_มา”

15 คน_ตาย_ก็_ลุก_ขึ้น_มา_นั่ง_และ_เริ่ม_พูด พระ_เยซู_จึง_มอบ_ชาย_คน_นั้น_ให้_กับ_แม่_ของ_เขา

16 ชาว_บ้าน_ต่าง_เกิด_ความ_เกรง_กลัว_และ_สรรเสริญ_พระเจ้า_ว่า “ผู้_พูด_แทน_พระเจ้า_ผู้_ยิ่ง_ใหญ่_ได้_เกิด_ใน_หมู่_พวก_เรา_แล้ว” และ_พูด_ว่า “พระเจ้า_มา_ช่วย_เหลือ_คน_ของ_พระองค์_แล้ว”

17 แล้ว_ชื่อ_เสียง_ของ_พระ_เยซู ก็_ร่ำ_ลือ_ไป_ทั่ว_แคว้น_ยูเดีย_และ_บริเวณ_รอบๆ_นั้น

ยอห์น_เกิด_สงสัย

18 มี_ศิษย์_คน_หนึ่ง_ของ_ยอห์น_คน_ทำ_พิธี_จุ่ม_น้ำ_เล่า_เรื่อง_นี้_ให้_ยอห์น_ฟัง ยอห์น_จึง_สั่ง_ศิษย์_สอง_คน_ของ_เขา

19 ให้_ไป_ถาม_องค์_เจ้า_ชีวิต_ว่า “ท่าน_คือ_คนๆ_นั้น_ที่_จะ_มา หรือ_พวก_เรา_จะ_ต้อง_รอ_อีก_คน_หนึ่ง”

20 ศิษย์_สอง_คน_นั้น_ไป_พบ_พระ_เยซู และ_พูด_ว่า “ยอห์น_ผู้_ทำ_พิธี_จุ่ม_น้ำ ส่ง_พวก_เรา_มา_ถาม_ท่าน_ว่า ‘ท่าน_คือ_คนๆ_นั้น_ที่_จะ_มา หรือ_พวก_เรา_ยัง_ต้อง_รอ_อีก_คน_หนึ่ง’”

21 ใน_เวลา_นั้น พระ_เยซู_ได้_รักษา_คน_ที่_เจ็บ_ป่วย_ด้วย_โรค_ต่างๆ_ให้_หาย ขับ_ไล่_ผี_ร้าย และ_ช่วย_ให้_คน_ตาบอด_หลาย_คน_มอง_เห็น

22 พระ_เยซู_บอก_กับ_สอง_คน_นั้น_ว่า “ไป_บอก_ยอห์น_ถึง_สิ่ง_ที่_คุณ_ได้_เห็น_และ_ได้_ยิน ว่า_คน_ตาบอด_มอง_เห็น คน_ง่อย_เดิน_ได้ คน_เป็น_โรค_ผิวหนัง_ร้ายแรง_ก็_หาย คน_หูหนวก_ก็_ได้_ยิน คน_ตาย_กลับ_ฟื้น_คืน_ชีพ และ_คน_จน_ก็_ได้_ยิน_เรื่อง_ข่าว_ดี

25 ไม่_ใช่_แน่ แล้ว_คุณ_ออก_ไป_ดู_อะไร_ล่ะ ไป_ดู_คน_ใส่_เสื้อผ้า_สวย_หรู_ราคา_แพง_หรือ ไม่_ใช่_หรอก เพราะ_คน_ที่_ใส่_เสื้อผ้า_สวย_หรู_ราคา_แพง_นั้น_อยู่_ใน_วัง

26 ถ้า_อย่าง_นั้น_แล้ว_คุณ_ออก_ไป_ดู_อะไร_ล่ะ ออก_ไป_ดู_ผู้_พูด_แทน_พระเจ้า_หรือ ใช่_แล้ว เรา_ขอ_บอก_ให้_รู้_ว่า_เขา_เป็น_ยิ่ง_กว่า_ผู้_พูด_แทน_พระเจ้า_เสีย_อีก

27 เพราะ_เขา_เป็น_คน_ที่_พระ_คัมภีร์_เขียน_ถึง_ว่า

33 เมื่อ_ยอห์น_คน_ทำ_พิธี_จุ่ม_น้ำ_มา เขา_ไม่_ได้_กิน_ขนมปัง_หรือ_ดื่ม_เหล้า_องุ่น พวก_คุณ_ก็_ว่า ‘เขา_มี_ผี_ร้าย_สิง_อยู่’

34 แต่_พอ_บุตร_มนุษย์_มา ทั้ง_กิน_และ_ดื่ม พวก_คุณ_ก็_หา_ว่า ‘ดู_ไอ้_หมอ_นั่น_สิ ทั้ง_ตะกละ_และ_ขี้เมา แถม_ยัง_เป็น_เพื่อน_กับ_คน_เก็บ_ภาษี_และ_คน_บาป_อีก_ด้วย’

35 แต่_อย่าง_ไรก็_ตาม_สติปัญญา_นั้น_ถูก_หรือ_ผิด ก็_ดู_ได้_จาก_ผล_ทั้งหลาย_ของ_มัน”

ฟาริสี_คน_หนึ่ง_ชื่อ_ซีโมน

36 มี_ฟาริสี_คน_หนึ่ง_เชิญ_พระ_เยซู_มา_กิน_อาหาร_กับ_เขา พระองค์_ก็_เลย_มา_ที่_บ้าน_ของ_เขา_และ_นั่ง_เอน_กาย_อยู่_ที่_โต๊ะ_อาหาร

37 เมื่อ_มี_ผู้หญิง_คน_หนึ่ง ที่_เป็น_ที่_รู้_กัน_ไป_ทั่ว_ใน_เมือง_นั้น_ว่า_เป็น_คน_บาป นาง_ได้_ยิน_ว่า_พระ_เยซู_กำลัง_กิน_อาหาร_อยู่_ที่_บ้าน_ของ_ฟาริสี_คน_นั้น นาง_ก็_ถือ_น้ำหอม_ใน_ขวด_สวย_หรู_มา_ด้วย

38 นาง_เข้า_ไป_ยืน_อยู่_ข้าง_หลัง_ใกล้_เท้า_ของ_พระ_เยซู แล้ว_ร้องไห้_จน_เท้า_ของ_พระองค์_เปียก_ชุ่ม_ไป_ด้วย_น้ำตา แล้ว_เอา_ผม_ของ_นาง_เช็ด และ_ก้ม_ลง_จูบ_เท้า_ของ_พระองค์ พร้อม_ทั้ง_เท_น้ำหอม_ลง_บน_เท้า_ทั้ง_สอง_ข้าง_ของ_พระองค์

39 เมื่อ_ฟาริสี_คน_ที่_เชิญ_พระ_เยซู_เห็น_ก็_คิด_ใน_ใจ_ว่า “ถ้า_ชาย_คน_นี้_เป็น_ผู้_พูด_แทน_พระเจ้า_จริง เขา_จะ_ต้อง_รู้_ว่า หญิง_ที่_แตะ_ต้อง_ตัว_เขา_นี้_เป็น_ใคร และ_เป็น_หญิง_ประเภท_ไหน เขา_จะ_ต้อง_รู้_ว่า_นาง_เป็น_คน_บาป”

40 พระ_เยซู_พูด_ว่า “ซีโมน เรา_จะ_บอก_อะไร_ให้_นะ”
และ_ซีโมน_ก็_ตอบ_ว่า “ว่า_มา_เลย_ครับ อาจารย์”

41 พระ_เยซู_พูด_ว่า “มี_คน_ปล่อย_เงิน_กู้_คน_หนึ่ง มี_ลูกหนี้_อยู่_สอง_คน คน_หนึ่ง_เป็น_หนี้_อยู่_ห้า_ร้อย_เหรียญ_เงินt และ_อีก_คน_หนึ่ง_เป็น_หนี้_อยู่_ห้า_สิบ_เหรียญ_เงิน

42 แต่_ทั้ง_สอง_ไม่_มี_เงิน_ใช้_หนี้ เจ้าหนี้_ก็_เลย_ยก_หนี้_ให้_ทั้ง_สอง_คน คุณ_คิด_ว่า_คน_ไหน_จะ_รัก_เจ้าหนี้_คน_นี้_มาก_กว่า_กัน”

43 ซีโมน_ตอบ_ว่า “คน_แรก_ที่_มี_หนี้_มาก_กว่า_ครับ”
พระองค์_ก็_ตอบ_ว่า “ถูกต้อง”

44 แล้ว_พระ_เยซู_หัน_ไป_มอง_หญิง_คน_นั้น และ_พูด_กับ_ซีโมน_ว่า “เห็น_หญิง_คน_นี้_ไหม เรา_มา_บ้าน_คุณ คุณ_ก็_ไม่_ได้_เอา_น้ำ_มา_ล้าง_เท้า_เรา แต่_เธอ_กลับ_ใช้_น้ำตา_ล้าง_เท้า_เรา และ_เอา_ผม_ของ_เธอ_เช็ด_จน_แห้ง

45 คุณ_ไม่_ได้_จูบ_ต้อนรับ_เรา แต่_เธอ_ไม่_ได้_หยุด_จูบ_เท้า_เรา_เลย_ตั้ง_แต่_เข้า_มา

46 คุณ_ไม่_ได้_เอา_น้ำมัน_ใส่_หัว_ของ_เรา แต่_เธอ_เอา_น้ำหอม_เท_ใส่_เท้า_ของ_เรา

50 พระ_เยซู_พูด_กับ_หญิง_คน_นี้_ว่า “ความ_เชื่อ_ของ_คุณ_ทำ_ให้_คุณ_รอด_แล้ว ไป_เป็น_สุข_เถิด”

Luke 7

Jesus Heals a Centurion's Servant

1 When He had completed all His discourse in the hearing of the people, He went to Capernaum.

2 And a centurion's slave, who was highly regarded by him, was sick and about to die.3 When he heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders asking Him to come and save the life of his slave.4 When they came to Jesus, they earnestly implored Him, saying, "He is worthy for You to grant this to him;5 for he loves our nation and it was he who built us our synagogue."6 Now Jesus started on His way with them; and when He was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to Him, "Lord, do not trouble Yourself further, for I am not worthy for You to come under my roof;7 for this reason I did not even consider myself worthy to come to You, but just say the word, and my servant will be healed.8 For I also am a man placed under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to this one, 'Go!' and he goes, and to another, 'Come!' and he comes, and to my slave, 'Do this!' and he does it."9 Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled at him, and turned and said to the crowd that was following Him, "I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith."10 When those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the slave in good health.

11 Soon afterwards He went to a city called Nain; and His disciples were going along with Him, accompanied by a large crowd.12 Now as He approached the gate of the city, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a sizeable crowd from the city was with her.13 When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her, and said to her, "Do not weep."14 And He came up and touched the coffin; and the bearers came to a halt. And He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise!"15 The dead man sat up and began to speak. And Jesus gave him back to his mother.16 Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us!" and, "God has visited His people!"17 This report concerning Him went out all over Judea and in all the surrounding district.

A Deputation from John

18 The disciples of John reported to him about all these things.19 Summoning two of his disciples, John sent them to the Lord, saying, "Are You the Expected One, or do we look for someone else?"20 When the men came to Him, they said, "John the Baptist has sent us to You, to ask, 'Are You the Expected One, or do we look for someone else?'"21 At that very time He cured many people of diseases and afflictions and evil spirits; and He gave sight to many who were blind.22 And He answered and said to them, "Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: the BLIND RECEIVE SIGHT, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, the POOR HAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THEM.23 Blessed is he who does not take offense at Me."

24 When the messengers of John had left, He began to speak to the crowds about John, "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?25 But what did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Those who are splendidly clothed and live in luxury are found in royal palaces!26 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and one who is more than a prophet.27 This is the one about whom it is written,
'BEHOLD, I SEND MY MESSENGER AHEAD OF YOU,
WHO WILL PREPARE YOUR WAY BEFORE YOU.'28 I say to you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."29 When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they acknowledged God's justice, having been baptized with the baptism of John.30 But the Pharisees and the tlawyers rejected God's purpose for themselves, not having been baptized by John.

31 "To what then shall I compare the men of this generation, and what are they like?32 They are like children who sit in the market place and call to one another, and they say, 'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not weep.'33 For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, 'He has a demon!'34 The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, 'Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!'35 Yet wisdom is vindicated by all her children."

36 Now one of the Pharisees was requesting Him to dine with him, and He entered the Pharisee's house and reclined at the table. 37 And there was a woman in the city who was a sinner; and when she learned that He was reclining at the table in the Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster vial of perfume,38 and standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears, and kept wiping them with the hair of her head, and kissing His feet and anointing them with the perfume.39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet He would know who and what sort of person this woman is who is touching Him, that she is a sinner."

Parable of Two Debtors

40 And Jesus answered him, "Simon, I have something to say to you." And he replied, "Say it, Teacher."41 "A moneylender had two debtors: one owed five hundred tdenarii, and the other fifty.42 When they were unable to repay, he graciously forgave them both. So which of them will love him more?"43 Simon answered and said, "I suppose the one whom he forgave more." And He said to him, "You have judged correctly."44 Turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.45 You gave Me no kiss; but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss My feet.46 You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with perfume.47 For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little."48 Then He said to her, "Your sins have been forgiven."49 Those who were reclining at the table with Him began to say to themselves, "Who is this man who even forgives sins?"50 And He said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."
