Lucrarea lui Ioan Botezătorul

1 Începutult Evanghelieit luit Isust Cristost, (Fiul lui Dumnezeu)t.

2 Așa cum este scris în Isaia, profetult:
„Iată, îl trimit înaintea feței Tale pe solul Meu,
care-Ți va pregăti calea!“

3 „Un glas strigă în pustie:
«Pregătiți calea Domnului,
neteziți-I cărările!»“

4 Ioan Botezătorul a venit în pustie și a început să predice botezul pocăinței spre iertarea păcatelor.5 Toți cei din ținutul Iudeii și toți locuitorii Ierusalimului au început să vină la el și, mărturisindu-și păcatele, erau botezați de el în râul Iordan.6 Ioan avea îmbrăcămintea din păr de cămilă, iar în jurul mijlocului avea un brâu de piele.t El se hrănea cu lăcuste și cu miere sălbatică.7 Ioan vestea și zicea: „După mine vine Cel Ce este mai puternic decât mine, Căruia eu nu sunt vrednic să mă aplec să-I dezleg cureaua sandalelor!8 Eu v-am botezat cut apă, dar El vă va boteza cu Duhul Sfânt.“

Botezul și ispitirea lui Isus

9 În acele zile a venit Isus din Nazaretul Galileii și a fost botezat de către Ioan în Iordan.10 Imediat după ce a ieșit din apă, El a văzut cerurile deschise și pe Duhul coborând peste El ca un porumbel.11 Și din ceruri s-a auzit un glas care zicea : „Tu ești Fiul Meu preaiubit; în Tine Îmi găsesc plăcerea!“t

12 Imediatt Duhul L-a dus în pustie.13 El a stat în pustie timp de patruzeci de zilet, fiind ispitit de Satant. Acolo stătea împreună cu animalele sălbatice, iar îngerii Îi slujeaut.

Primii ucenici

14 După ce Ioan a fost închis, Isus a venit în Galileea, predicând Evanghelia luit Dumnezeu.15 El zicea: „S-a împlinit vremea! Împărăția lui Dumnezeut este aproape! Pocăiți-vă și credeți în Evanghelie!“

16 În timp ce trecea pe lângă Marea Galileiit, Isus l-a văzut pe Simon și pe Andrei, fratele lui Simon, care tocmai aruncau năvoadele în mare, căci erau pescari.17 Isus le-a zis: „Veniți după Mine și vă voi face pescari de oameni!“18 Ei și-au lăsat imediat năvoadele și L-au urmat.

19 Mergând puțin mai încolo, l-a văzut pe Iacov, fiul lui Zebedei, și pe Ioan, fratele lui. Ei erau într-o barcă și își reparau năvoadele.20 Imediat El i-a chemat, iar ei l-au lăsat pe tatăl lor, Zebedei, în barcă, împreună cu cei angajați și L-au urmat.

Isus vindecă un demoniac în Capernaum

21 S-au dus în Capernaum și, în Sabatul imediat următor, El a intrat în sinagogăt și a început să dea învățătură.22 Oamenii erau uimiți de învățătura Lui, căci El îi învăța ca Unul Care are autoritate, nu cum îi învățau cărturariit.23 Chiar atunci în sinagoga lor era un om stăpânit de un duh necurat.

24 El a strigat:
– Ce avem noi de-a face cu Tine, Isuse din Nazaret? Ai venit să ne distrugi? Știu Cine ești: Sfântul lui Dumnezeu!

25 Isus l-a mustrat zicându-i:
– Taci și ieși afară din el!

26 Duhul necurat a ieșit din el, scuturându-l și scoțând un strigăt puternic.27 Toți au rămas uimiți, așa că se întrebau între ei: „Ce înseamnă aceasta? Este o învățătură nouă, care are autoritate. El poruncește chiar și duhurilor necurate, iar ele Îl ascultă!“28 Și I s-a dus vestea imediat pretutindeni, în toată regiunea din jurul Galileii.

Isus vindecă bolnavii

29 Imediat după ce au ieșit din sinagogă, s-au dus împreună cu Iacov și Ioan în casa lui Simon și a lui Andrei.30 Soacra lui Simon era întinsă pe pat, având febră, și ei I-au vorbit imediat despre ea.31 El a venit, a prins-o de mână și a ridicat-o. Și febra a lăsat-o, iar ea a început să le slujească.32 Seara, după ce a apus soarele, au adus la El pe toți bolnavii și pe cei demoniaci.33 Întreaga cetate era adunată la ușă.34 El i-a vindecat pe mulți care sufereau de diferite boli și a scos afară mulți demoni. Pe demoni nu-i lăsa să vorbească, pentru că ei Îl cunoșteau.

Isus se roagă într-un loc pustiu

35 Dis-de-dimineață, când încă era întuneric, Isus S-a sculat, a ieșit, și S-a dus într-un loc pustiu. Și se ruga acolo .36 Dar Simon și cei ce erau de obicei cu El au început să-L caute

37 și, când L-au găsit, I-au zis:
– Toți Te caută!

38 Isus le-a răspuns:
– Să mergem în altă parte, în satele învecinate, ca să predic și acolo, căci pentru aceasta am ieșit!

39 Și S-a dus în toată Galileea, predicând în sinagogile lor și scoțând demoni.

Curățarea unui bolnav de lepră

40 A venit la El un leprost care a îngenuncheat și L-a rugat spunând:
– Dacă vrei, poți să mă curățeștit!

41 Cuprins de milăt, Isus a întins mâna, l-a atins și i-a zis:
– Da , vreau. Fii curățit!

42 Lepra l-a părăsit imediat și a fost curățit.43 Isus i-a atras atenția și i-a spus să plece imediat,

44 zicându-i totodată :
– Vezi să nu spui nimănui nimic, ci du-te, arată-te preotului și adu pentru curățirea ta ceea ce a poruncit Moiset, drept mărturie pentru ei.

45 Dar el a ieșit afară și a început să vorbească și să răspândească vestea atât de mult, încât Isus nu mai putea să intre pe față în cetate, ci stătea afară, în locuri pustii. Și oamenii veneau la El de pretutindeni.

MARK 1

The Preaching of //John the Baptist

(Matthew 3.1-12; Luke 3.1-18; John 1.19-28)

1 This is the good news about Jesus Christ, the Son of God.t

2 t It began just as God had said in the book written by Isaiah the prophet,
“I am sending my messenger
to get the way ready
for you.

3  t In the desert
someone is shouting,
‘Get the road ready
for the Lord!
Make a straight path
for him.’ ”

4 So John the Baptist showed up in the desert and told everyone, “Turn back to God and be baptized! Then your sins will be forgiven.”

5 From all Judea and Jerusalem crowds of people went to John. They told how sorry they were for their sins, and he baptized them in the Jordan River.

6  t John wore clothes made of camel's hair. He had a leather strap around his waist and ate grasshoppers and wild honey.
7 John also told the people, “Someone more powerful is going to come. And I am not good enough even to stoop down and untie his sandals.t

8 I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!”

The Baptism of Jesus

(Matthew 3.13-17; Luke 3.21,22)

11 t A voice from heaven said, “You are my own dear Son, and I am pleased with you.”

Jesus and Satan

(Matthew 4.1-11; Luke 4.1-13)

13 He stayed there for 40 days while Satan tested him. Jesus was with the wild animals, but angels took care of him.

Jesus Begins His Work

(Matthew 4.12-17; Luke 4.14,15)

15 t He said, “The time has come! God's kingdom will soon be here.t Turn back to God and believe the good news!”

Jesus Chooses //Four Fishermen

(Matthew 4.18-22; Luke 5.1-11)

18 Right then the two brothers dropped their nets and went with him.
19 Jesus walked on and soon saw James and John, the sons of Zebedee. They were in a boat, mending their nets.

20 At once Jesus asked them to come with him. They left their father in the boat with the hired workers and went with him.

A Man with an Evil Spirit

(Luke 4.31-37)

24 “Jesus from Nazareth, what do you want with us? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are! You are God's Holy One.”
25 Jesus told the evil spirit, “Be quiet and come out of the man!”

26 The spirit shook him. Then it gave a loud shout and left.
27 Everyone was completely surprised and kept saying to each other, “What is this? It must be some new kind of powerful teaching! Even the evil spirits obey him.”

28 News about Jesus quickly spread all over Galilee.

Jesus Heals Many People

(Matthew 8.14-17; Luke 4.38-41)

31 Jesus went to her. He took hold of her hand and helped her up. The fever left her, and she served them a meal.
32 That evening after sunset, t all who were sick or had demons in them were brought to Jesus. 33 In fact, the whole town gathered around the door of the house.

34 Jesus healed all kinds of terrible diseases and forced out a lot of demons. But the demons knew who he was, and he did not let them speak.
35 Very early the next morning before daylight, Jesus got up and went to a place where he could be alone and pray. 36 Simon and the others started looking for him.

37 And when they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you!”
38 Jesus replied, “We must go to the nearby towns, so that I can tell the good news to those people. This is why I have come.”

39 t Then Jesus went to their synagogues everywhere in Galilee, where he preached and forced out demons.

Jesus Heals a Man

(Matthew 8.1-4; Luke 5.12-16)

40 A man with leprosyt came to Jesus and knelt down.t He begged, “You have the power to make me well, if only you wanted to.”
41 Jesus felt sorry fort the man. So he put his hand on him and said, “I want to! Now you are well.”

42 At once the man's leprosy disappeared, and he was well.
43 After Jesus strictly warned the man, he sent him on his way.

44 t He said, “Don't tell anyone about this. Just go and show the priest that you are well. Then take a gift to the temple as Moses commanded, and everyone will know that you have been healed.”t
45 The man talked about it so much and told so many people, that Jesus could no longer go openly into a town. He had to stay away from the towns, but people still came to him from everywhere.
