Markus 10

1 Og han stod op derfra og kom til Judæas Grændser igjennem det Land paa hiin Side Jordan, og Folket gik atter til ham i Hobetal; og han lærte dem atter, som han pleiede.2 Og Pharisæerne gik til ham og spurgte ham, om det var en Mand tilladt at skille sig fra sin Hustru; for at friste ham.3 Men han svarede og sagde til dem: hvad har Moses budet Eder?4 Men de sagde: Moses tilstedte at skrive et Skilsmissebrev og skille sig fra hende.5 Og Jesus svarede og sagde til dem: for Eders Hjerters Haardheds Skyld skrev han Eder dette Bud.6 Men fra Skabningens Begyndelse gjorde Gud ham mand og Kvinde;7 derfor skal Manden forlade sin fader og Moder og blive fast hos sin Hustru;8 og de To skulle være til eet Kjød, saa at de ikke længere ere To, men eet Kjød.9 Derfor, hvad Gud har tilsammenføiet, skal Mennesket ikke adskille.10 Og hans Disciple spurgte ham atter i Huset om det Samme.11 Og han sagde til dem: hvo som skiller sig fra sin Hustru og tager en Anden tilægte, han bedriver Hoer imod hende.12 Og dersom en Kvinde skiller sig fra sin Mand og ægtes af en Anden, hun bedriver Hoer.13 Og de førte smaa Børn til ham, at kan skulde røre ved dem; men Disciplene truede dem, som bare dem frem.14 Men der Jesus det saae, blev han vred og sagde til dem: lader de smaa Børn komme til mig, og formener dem ikke; thi Guds Rige hører saadanne til.15 Sandelig siger jeg Eder: hvo som ikke annammer Guds Rige som et lidet Barn, han skal ingenlunde komme ind i det.16 Og han tog dem i Favn og lagde Hænderne paa dem og velsignede dem.17 Og der han var udgangen paa Veien, løb En til og faldt paa Knæ for ham og spurgte ham: gode Mester hvad skal jeg gjøre, at jeg kan arve det evige Liv?18 Men Jesus sagde til ham: hvi kalder du mig god? Ingen er god uden een, som er Gud.19 Du veed Budene: du skal ikke bedrive Hoer; du skal ikke slaae ihjel; du skal ikke stjæle; du skal ikke tale falsk Vidnesbyrd; du skal ikke besvige; ær din Fader og din Moder.20 Men han svarede og sagde til ham: Mester! alt dette har jeg holdt fra min Ungdom.21 Men Jesus saae paa ham og fattede Kjærlighed til ham og sagde til ham: een Ting fattes dig; gak bort, sælg, hvad du har, og giv de Fattige det, saa skal du have et Liggendefæ i Himmelen; og kom, tag Korset og følg mig.22 Men han blev ilde tilfreds over den Tale og gik bedrøvet bort; thi han havde meget Gods.23 Og Jesus saae sig omkring og sagde til sine Disciple: hvor vanskelig skulle de, som have Rigdom, komme ind i Guds Rige.24 Men Disciplene bleve forfærdede over hans Taler. Men Jesus svarede igjen og sagde til dem: Børn! hvor vanskeligt er det, at de, som forlade sig paa Rigdom, kunne komme ind i Guds Rige.25 Det er lettere, at en Kameel gaaer igjennem et Naaleøie, end at en Rig kommer ind i Guds Rige.26 Da forfærdedes de en meget mere og sagde til hverandre: hvo kan da blive salig?27 Men Jesus saae paa dem og sagde: for Menneskene er det umulligt, men ikke for Gud; thi alle Ting ere mulige for Gud.28 Men Peter tog til Orde og sagde til ham: see, vi have forladt alle Ting og fulgt dig.29 Men Jesus svarede og sagde: sandelig siger jeg Eder, der er Ingen, som har forladt Huus eller Brødre eller Søstre eller Fader eller Moder eller Hustru eller Børn eller Agre for min og Evangeliums Skyld,30 der skal jo saae hundrede Fold igjen, nu i denne Tid Huse og Brødre og Søstre og Mødre og Børn og Agre, med Forfølgelser og i den tilkommende Verden et evigt Liv.31 Men Mange, som ere de Første, skulle blive de Sidste, og de Sidste blive de Første.32 Men de vare paa Veien og gik op til Jerusalem; og Jesus gik foran dem, og de vare forfærdede og fulgte ham med Frygt. Og han tog atter de Tolv til sig og begyndte at sige dem, hvad han skulde vederfares.33 See, vi gaae op til Jerusalem og Menneskens Søn skal overantvordes de Ypperstepræster og Skriftkloge, og de skulle fordømme ham til Døden og overantvorde Hedninger ham;34 og de skulle bespotte ham og hudstryge ham og bespytte ham og ihjelslaae ham, og paa den tredie Dag skal han opstaae.35 Da gik Jakob og Johannes, Zebedæus' Sønner, til ham og sagde: Mester, vi ønske, at du tilstaaer og det, vi ville bede om.36 Han sagde til dem: hvad ville I, at jeg skal gjøre Eder?37 Men de sagde til ham: giv os, at vi maa sidde, den ene ved din høire Side og den anden ved din venstre Side, i din Herlighed.38 Men Jesus sagde til dem: I vide ikke, hvad I bede. Kunne I drikke den Kalk, som jeg drikker, og døbes med den Daab, som jeg døbes med?39 Men de sagde til ham: vi kunne. Men Jesus sagde til dem: I skulle vel drikke den Kalk, som jeg drikker, og døbes med den Daab, som jeg døbes med;40 men at sidde ved min høire og ved min venstre Side, hører ikke mig til at give Nogen uden den, som det er beredt.41 Og der de Ti hørte det, begyndte de at blive vrede paa Jakob og Johannes.42 Da kaldte Jesus dem og sagde til dem: I vide, at de, der ere i Anseelse som Folkenes Fyrster, herske over dem, og de Store iblandt dem bruge Myndighed over dem.43 Men det skal ikke være saa iblandt Eder; men hvo som vil blive stor iblandt Eder, skal være Eders Tjener;44 og hvo som vil blive den Ypperste iblandt eder, skal være Alles Tjener;45 thi Menneskens Søn er ikke kommen for at lade sig tjene, men for at tjene og at give sit Liv til en Igjenløselses Betaling for Mange.46 Og de kom til jericho; og der han gik ud af Jericho tillligemed sine Disciple og meget Folk, sad Timæus' Søn, Bartimæus den Blinde, ved Veien og tiggede.47 Og der han hørte, at det var Jesus fra Nazareth, begyndte han at raabe og sige: Jesus, du Davids Søn, forbarm dig over mig.48 Og Mange truede ham, at han skulde tie; men han raabte meget mere: du Davids Søn, forbarm dig over mig!49 Og Jesus stod stille og sagde, de skulde kalde ham; og de kaldte den Blinde og sagde til ham: vær frimodig, staa op! han kalder ad dig.50 Men han kastede sin Overkjortel fra sig, stod op og kom til Jesus.51 Og Jesus svarede og sagde til ham: hvad vil du, at jeg skal gjøre dig? Men den Blinde sagde til ham: Rabbeni, at jeg kan vorde seende!52 Men Jesus sagde til ham: gak bort, din Tro har frelst dig. Og strax blev han seende og fulgte Jesus paa Veien.

Mark 10

Divorce

1 Thent Jesust left that place and went to the region of Judea ands beyond the Jordan River.t Again crowds gathered to him, and again, as was his custom, he taught them.2 Then some Phariseesss came, and to test himt they asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce hist wife?”ts3 He answered them,t “What did Moses command you?”4 They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of dismissal and to divorce her.”ts5 But Jesus said to them, “He wrote this commandment for you because of your hard hearts.t6 But from the beginning of creation hesmade them male and female.s7 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother,s8 and the two will become one flesh.ss So they are no longer two, but one flesh.

9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
10 In the house once again, the disciples asked him about this.11 Sot he told them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.

12 And if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”s

Jesus and Little Children

13 Nowt people were bringing little children to him for him to touch,t but the disciples scolded those who brought them.st14 But when Jesus saw this, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the little children come to me and do not try to stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.s15 I tell you the truth,t whoever does not receives the kingdom of God like a childs will nevert enter it.”

16 After he took the children in his arms, he placed his hands on them and blessed them.

The Rich Man

17 Nowt as Jesusts was starting out on his way, someone ran up to him, fell on his knees, and said, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”s18 Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good?s No one is good except God alone.19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony,do not defraud, honor your father and mother.’”s20 The mant said to him, “Teacher, I have wholeheartedly obeyedt all these lawsts since my youth.”s21 As Jesus looked at him, he felt love for him and said, “You lack one thing. Go, sell whatever you have and give the moneyt to the poor, and you will have treasures in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

22 But at this statement, the mant looked sad and went away sorrowful, for he was very rich.t
23 Thent Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!”24 The disciples were astonished at these words. But again Jesus said to them,t “Children, how hard it iss to enter the kingdom of God!25 It is easier for a camels to go through the eye of a needles than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”26 They were even more astonished and saidt to one another, “Thent who can be saved?”s

27 Jesus looked at them and replied, “This is impossible for mere humans,t but not for God; all things are possible for God.”
28 Peter began to speak to him, “Look,s we have left everything to follow you!”t29 Jesus said, “I tell you the truth,t there is no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the gospel30 who will not receive in this aget a hundred times as much – homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, fields, all with persecutionst – and in the age to come, eternal life.s

31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

Third Prediction of Jesus’ Death and Resurrection

32 They were on the way, going up to Jerusalem.s Jesus was going ahead of them, and they were amazed, but those who followed were afraid. He took the twelve aside again and began to tell them what was going to happen to him.33 “Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and experts in the law.t They will condemn him to death and will turn him over to the Gentiles.

34 They will mock him, spit on him, flogt him severely, and kill him. Yett after three days,s he will rise again.”

The Request of James and John

35 Thent James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and said, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask.”36 He said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?”37 They said to him, “Permit one of us to sit at your right hand and the other at your left in your glory.”38 But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I experience?”t39 They said to him, “We are able.”s Then Jesus said to them, “You will drink the cup I drink, and you will be baptized with the baptism I experience,

40 but to sit at my right or at my left is not mine to give. It is for those for whom it has been prepared.”s
41 Nowt when the other tent heard this,t they became angry with James and John.42 Jesus called them and said to them, “You know that those who are recognized as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in high positions use their authority over them.43 But it is not this way among you. Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,44 and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slavet of all.

45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransoms for many.”

Healing Blind Bartimaeus

46 They came to Jericho.s As Jesust and his disciples and a large crowd were leaving Jericho, Bartimaeus the son of Timaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the road.47 When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to shout,t “Jesus, Son of David,s have mercys on me!”48 Many scoldedt him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” Sot they called the blind man and said to him, “Have courage! Get up! He is calling you.”50 He threw off his cloak, jumped up, and came to Jesus.51 Thent Jesus said to him,t “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man replied, “Rabbi,t let me see again.”t

52 Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has healed you.” Immediately he regainedt his sight and followed him on the road.
