一○

1 　イエスはカペナウムをあとにし、ユダヤ地方とヨルダン東岸へ行かれました。　またもや群衆が集まったので、イエスは彼らに教えておられました。
2 　そこへ何人かのパリサイ人たちが来て、イエスに、「あなたは、離婚をお認めになりますか」と尋ねました。　もちろん、これはわなでした。
3 　「モーセは、離婚について何と言いましたか。」反対に、イエスがお尋ねになりました。
4 　「離婚してもさしつかえないと言いました。　ただその時は、男が女に離縁状を書く決まりですが。」
5 　「なぜモーセはそう言ったのか、考えてみなさい。　あなたがたの心が邪悪で強情だったから、しかたなく認めたのです。　6-7 離婚は神の意志に反します。　神は、そもそもの初めから、人を男と女とに造られたのです。　ですから、人は両親から離れて、　8 妻と一体となるのです。　もはや二人ではなく、一人なのです。　9 神が一つにしてくださったものを、だれも引き離してはなりません。」
10 　イエスが家に戻られると、弟子たちはまた、この問題を持ち出しました。
11 　イエスは言われました。　「ほかの女と結婚したいばかりに妻を離縁するなら、妻に対して姦通罪を犯すのです。　12 また夫と離婚して別の男と再婚する女も同様です。」
13 　さて、イエスに祝福していただこうと、人々が、子供たちを連れてやって来ました。　ところが弟子たちは、じゃまだとばかり、彼らを追い返そうとしました。
14 　それをごらんになったイエスは、憤って弟子たちをおしかりになりました。　「子供たちを、自由に来させなさい。　神の国はこの子供たちのような者の国なのです。　追い払うなど、とんでもありません。　15 いいですか。　よく言っておきますが、小さな子供のように神の国を受け入れる者でなければ、決してそこに入ることはできません。」
16 　それから、子供たちを抱き上げ、頭に手を置いて、祝福されました。
17 　イエスが道に出て行くと、一人の人が走り寄って、ひざまずき、「先生。　あなた様は尊いお方です。　お教えください。　天国に入るには、どうしたらよいでしょうか」と尋ねました。
18 　「どうしてわたしを尊いと言うのですか。　尊いお方は神お一人です。　19 まあ、それはさておき、今の質問に答えましょう。　守るべき戒めは知っていますね。　そう、殺してはならない、姦淫してはならない、盗んではならない、うそをついてはならない、だまし取ってはならない、あなたの父と母とを敬いなさい、という戒めです。」
20 　「はい、先生。　私は今まで、これらの戒めを一つも破ったことはありません。」
21 　イエスは心から彼に同情して言われました。　「あなたには、たった一つだけ欠けたところがあるのです。　さあ、家に帰って、財産を全部売り払い、そのお金を貧しい人たちに分けてやりなさい。　そうすれば、天に宝をたくわえることになるのです。　それから、わたしについて来なさい。」
22 　このイエスのことばに、その人は顔をくもらせ、悲しそうに、すごすごと帰って行きました。　たいへんな金持ちだったからです。
23 　そのうしろ姿をじっと見ておられたイエスは、弟子たちのほうをふり返られ、「金持ちが神の国に入るのは、実にむずかしいことです」と言われました。
24 　これには、弟子たちもびっくりしてしまいました。　イエスは、もう一度言われました。　「愛する子供たちよ。　財産を頼みとする人が神の国に入るのは、なんとむずかしいことでしょう。　25 金持ちが神の国に入るよりは、らくだが針の穴を通るほうが、よっぽどやさしいのです。」
26 　弟子たちはますます驚いて言いました。　「そうだとしたら、この世の中で、いったいだれが救われるのでしょう。」
27 　イエスは弟子たちをじっと見つめ、「神でなければできません。神には、どんなことでもできるのです」と言われました。
28 　するとペテロが、自分や他の弟子たちが捨ててきたものをいちいち数え始めました。　「私たちは何もかも捨てて、あなた様に従ってまいりました。」
29-30 これを聞いて、イエスは言われました。　「はっきり言っておきます。　わたしを愛するゆえに、また神のすばらしい知らせを人々に告げ知らせるために、家、兄弟、姉妹、父、母、子、財産をすべて投げ捨てた者は、必ずその百倍の報いを受けます。　この地上では迫害されますが、それでも家、兄弟、姉妹、母、子、土地はちゃんと戻ってきます。　そればかりか、次の世では永遠のいのちを受けるのです。　31 今は一番偉そうに見える者が、その時には一番軽んじられ、今は小さい者と見くびられていても、その時には一番大きい者となる者が大ぜいいるのです。」
イエス、ご自分の死と復活を予告する
32 　さて一行は、エルサレムを目指して進んで行きました。　イエスが先頭で、弟子たちはあとから続きます。　彼らは恐れと不安な気持ちにかられていました。　そこでイエスは、弟子たちをわきへ呼び、エルサレムに到着してから自分の身に起こることを、もう一度、話して聞かせられました。
33 　「エルサレムに着くと、メシヤ（救い主）のわたしは捕らえられ、祭司長やユダヤ人の指導者たちに引き渡され、死刑を宣告されます。そして死刑執行のためにローマの役人の手に渡され、　34 あざけられ、つばきをかけられ、むちで打たれ、殺されます。　だが、わたしは三日目に復活するのです。」
35 　さて、ゼベダイの息子のヤコブとヨハネが来て、イエスにこっそりと頼みました。　「先生。　折り入ってお願いしたいことがあるのですが......。」
36 　「どんなことですか。」
37 　「実は、あなた様の御国で、私たちをあなた様の次に高い位につかせていただきたいのです。　一人はあなた様の右に、一人は左にというぐあいに。」
38 　しかし、イエスは言われました。　「あなたがたは、何もわかっていませんね。　わたしが飲もうとしている恐るべき杯を飲み、わたしが受けようとしている苦しみのバプテスマ（洗礼）を受けることができるとでも言うのですか。」
39 　「できますとも！」と、自信をもって答える二人に、イエスは、「確かにあなたがたはわたしの杯を飲み、バプテスマを受けるでしょう。　40 だが、だれをわたしの次の位につかせるかは、わたしが決めることではありません。　もうすでに、決まっているのです」とおっしゃいました。
41 　この、ヤコブとヨハネの願い事を知ったほかの弟子たちは、もうれつに腹を立てました。　42 それでイエスは、皆を呼び集められ、こう言われました。　「あなたがたも知っているとおり、この世の王や高官は、支配者として権力をほしいままにしています。　43 しかし、あなたがたの間では違います。　偉くなりたければ、皆に仕える者となりなさい。　44 人を支配したければ、奴隷のように仕える者となりなさい。　45 メシヤのわたしでさえ、人に仕えられるためではなく、仕えるために来たのであり、多くの人の罪の代償として、自分のいのちを与えるために来たのです。」
46 　一行はエリコに着きました。　やがてその町を出ようとすると、大ぜいの群衆がついて来ます。　その時、テマイの子でバルテマイという名の盲目のこじきが、道ばたに座っていました。
47 　ナザレのイエスのお通りだと聞いて、バルテマイは大声を張り上げました。　「イエス様、ダビデ王の子よ！　どうぞお助けを！」
48 　「うるさい。　黙れっ！」と、だれかがどなりつけました。　それでも、バルテマイはますます声を張り上げ、「ああ、ダビデ王の子よ。　お助けください」とくり返し叫びました。
49 　その声を聞きつけて、イエスはつっと立ち止まり、「あの男を連れて来なさい」と言われました。　そこで、人々はその盲人に、「運のいいやつだ。　おい、イエス様がお呼びだぞ」と告げました。　50 バルテマイは、はおっていた上着をぱっと脱ぎ捨てると、喜び勇んでイエスのそばに跳んで来ました。
51 　「どうしてほしいのですか」と、イエスがお尋ねになると、彼はもどかしげに、「先生。　見えるように、見えるようになりたいんです」と答えました。
52 　「わかりました。　さあ、もうあなたの目は治りました。　あなたの信仰があなたを治したのです。」イエスがこう言われた瞬間、彼の目は見えるようになり、イエスについて行きました。エルサレムに着いてから

Mark 10

1 And he arose from thence and cometh into the borders of Judaea and beyond the Jordan: and multitudes come together unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.2 And there came unto him Pharisees, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? trying him.3 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.5 But Jesus said unto them, For your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.6 But from the beginning of the creation, Male and female made he them.7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife;8 and the two shall become one flesh: so that they are no more two, but one flesh.9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.10 And in the house the disciples asked him again of this matter.11 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her:12 and if she herself shall put away her husband, and marry another, she committeth adultery.13 And they were bringing unto him little children, that he should touch them: and the disciples rebuked them.14 But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me; forbid them not: for to such belongeth the kingdom of God.15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in no wise enter therein.16 And he took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands upon them.17 And as he was going forth into the way, there ran one to him, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good save one, even God.19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not kill, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor thy father and mother.20 And he said unto him, Teacher, all these things have I observed from my youth.21 And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.22 But his countenance fell at the saying, and he went away sorrowful: for he was one that had great possessions.23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!24 And the disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!25 It is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.26 And they were astonished exceedingly, saying unto him, Then who can be saved?27 Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for all things are possible with God.28 Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.29 Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the gospel’s sake,30 but he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.31 But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.32 And they were on the way, going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going before them: and they were amazed; and they that followed were afraid. And he took again the twelve, and began to tell them the things that were to happen unto him,33 saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests and the scribes; and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him unto the Gentiles:34 and they shall mock him, and shall spit upon him, and shall scourge him, and shall kill him; and after three days he shall rise again.35 And there come near unto him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying unto him, Teacher, we would that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall ask of thee.36 And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?37 And they said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and one on thy left hand, in thy glory.38 But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup that I drink? or to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?39 And they said unto him, We are able. And Jesus said unto them, The cup that I drink ye shall drink; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:40 but to sit on my right hand or on my left hand is not mine to give; but it is for them for whom it hath been prepared.41 And when the ten heard it, they began to be moved with indignation concerning James and John.42 And Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they who are accounted to rule over the Gentiles lord it over them; and their great ones exercise authority over them.43 But it is not so among you: but whosoever would become great among you, shall be your minister;44 and whosoever would be first among you, shall be servant of all.45 For the Son of man also came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.46 And they come to Jericho: and as he went out from Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the way side.47 And when he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.48 And many rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.49 And Jesus stood still, and said, Call ye him. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good cheer: rise, he calleth thee.50 And he, casting away his garment, sprang up, and came to Jesus.51 And Jesus answered him, and said, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? And the blind man said unto him, Rabboni, that I may receive my sight.52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And straightway he received his sight, and followed him in the way.
